Another Ship Spotting Day!

Hello you Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

You will be pleased to know that Old Two Legs has stopped sobbing and has told us that if any of us woofers, including the ferrets are going to be ill, then we are on our own!

We don't believe him especially as we have got to take Miss April in to see the vets in a week or so to get some more medicine!

I can't see him telling April she has to use her own money!

We got down to the Sea Wall and found that the tide was right in, so, I was heading towards the water while Holly sat on top of the Sea Wall mumbling under her whiskers that I was as Potty as a Ferret!

She is so embarrassing sometimes!
Miss May was having a great time singing her ears off while having a Sand Bath!

As Potty as a Ferret?
I spotted a Sea Going Tug heading up the Medway, so I can give the book another tick!

All the way from Gravesend!
While we were having a sniff in the sea weed OTL saw another of those 'Floating Bricks' bringing more cars into Sheerness.

A ship full of Brrrmm Brrrmm!
Back home OTL had his Poo Shovelling jobs to do. You know it is amazing just how much poo those ferrets produce in a day!

It certainly beats us woofers!

Mind you, when they get the run of the house the first thing they do is to find our dog biscuits which we call Brambles Biscuits 'cos Brambles loved them!

Well first of all they chomped on a few of the biscuits then they will snatch a few and store them in their 'Hiddy Holes' all over the house. You know, all of our ferrets seem to prefer the Brambles Biscuits over the best Ferret Biscuit!

As soon as they got out of the cages they were dashing about all over the place with mouthful fulls of purloined biscuits!

Of course a ferret has a fast digestion, so withing a couple of hours, what goes in has to come out and being a ferret, they like to go in the same place, so OTL knows just where to go to find The Pile!

Us woofers just need a bit of long grass and an OTL standing there with a Poo Bag!

Not sure what is for dinner tonight but we reckon OTL will share it with us!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

We get Stabbed and OTL gets Robbed!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

Wot a day!

It started off with a couple of new ticks in the Ship Spotting Book!

First there was this Ro-Ro Container ship that was heading down the Thames. You can see the containers up front and you can just see the back doors where the vehicles can drive on and off!

A Floating Brick Ro-Ro Container Ship!
Next, around the corner there was a dredger type of ship that was picking up stuff off the Medway Shore!

Watch out for the WWII Bombs!
As we got to the sandy beach the tide was just on the turn so I managed to get a Deep Paddle in before the mud appeared!

Looks like I can just make it!
 In I went!
All I need now is a stick to chase!
Miss May was really impressed with my Deep Paddling and was considering a swim but in the end decided to go digging instead!

Looks too deep for me!
We got back home to some Lambs Heart that had been freshly cooked by The Missus, Deeeeeeelicious!

OTL decided that we should have an early lunchtime walk 'cos our appointment with the vet after lunch.

It was a good job we went down early 'cos we saw a Cruise Ship heading up the Thames for a visit to London!

Which way to London?
Freddy was having a wonderful time  digging on the beach and after a while he agreed to 'Pose' for OTL!

Do I look Good or Wot!
While we were standing watching OTL Holly spotted the Thames Barge heading up the Medway under sail.

Ahoy Shipmates!
We set off to the vets after dropping Fred and Wendy back home.

I was pretty nervous, (as usual) and Holly got all 'Woofy' when she saw me on the bench first!

The vet was told about a fatty lump OTL had found on my shoulder and agreed that it wasn't serious but he also found a smaller lump on the back of my back leg.

Again, it wasn't painful but OTL said he would keep an eye on it.

So now it looks like I'll be inspected every time I get close to him!

OTL was sobbing when he got into the car, the bill was astronomical and his pension took a real battering!

Holly said we should leave him to eat all of his dinner tonight and we'll mug him tomorrow!

After taking the old camera to bits, OTL did some experiments and decided that the camera was 'Stuffed' (a technical term)!

So, he will be looking for another camera for the back garden that will connect up to the computer screen. Back to the Amazon web page!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Three new Boats!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

It's been another sunny day here in North Kent.

We were out good and early for our run. Miss May was down and tearing around all over the place. Miss April wasn't feeling too good and had a coughing fit so she spent a lot of time cuddled up to Old Two Legs or sitting in OTL's hand, inside the ferret bag.

Towards the end of our walk she got out and trotted back to the car.

After a drink she crawled into the cuddle cup and was asleep before the car started for home!

She spent the rest of the day enjoying a snooze!

Lunchtime we were out again but with Fred and Wendy. It was a little warmer than our morning walk and Freddy didn't want to walk too far!

We had a little game on the beach digging holes and I really got into a super sniff that knocked my whiskers off!

It don't get any better!
While I was doing my thing Holly and Freddy were looking out to sea spotting ships!

We started off with one of those Thames Barges but it wasn't moving! You see it required wind to get it going but there was no wind, so, it was just drifting!

Going nowhere fast!
Then we saw a ship that looked like a Grain Carrier but we didn't know what it was carrying, it could be anything!

A Carrier carrying wot?
Then we spotted a strange looking ship. We thought it was a submarine heading up to Rochester!

Now, we have heard that there is Russian Submarine moored up stream, maybe they are getting a fleet together to take over the Rochester Castle!

...but where is the periscope?
We will have to visit the Russian Sub soon just to make sure it is still there!

Tomorrow we have an appointment with the vet. Holly and I are going to get stabbed with a big needle to protect us against some nasty stuff..........I will HATE it!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Flowery Day!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

It has been a lovely warm day again and Old Two Legs has been taking interest in the local flowers!

At the start of the path down to the beach there is a plant growing that really aggravates OTL's hay fever!

It also seems to be wonderfully attractive to the local population of Red Admiral butterflies!

Clear off, I'm having my breakfast!
Down on the beach we all had a game of 'Dig and Whiz'! Both May and April joined in and we all dug holes all over the place.

We did, us Four Legs that is but OTL didn't join in the fun!

Come on, quicker! They are getting deeper than us!
Both May and April dug a massive hole, in relation to their size and by the time they were finished little April looked all worn out!

I've had enough, pull me out someone!
OTL has been busy this morning, something called VAT Return, sounds very complicated to me!

Lunchtime it was back down to the sea again. Fred and Wendy didn't get time to play on the beach 'cos there was Darcy rushing around and as soon as she saw OTL she came bounding over to say 'Hello'!

Darcy is one of those woofers we meet who think that OTL is wonderful and the first thing she wants to do is roll onto her back to get a 'Tummy Tickle'!

Well, with Darcy on her back getting a tickle the ferrets said they didn't fancy having a run around in case she got too excited and decided to chase them!

So, Fred and Wendy didn't get their run on the beach and needed to wait until we got to the grass path before they managed to have a run!

While we were all ferreting around OTL got the camera out and started on the flowers again!

Now, that looks pretty!
This afternoon OTL got the vacuum cleaner out and got going evacuating all the spiders in the camera housing before trying to disassembling the camera.

When we left him he was squirting WD40 onto all the screws to get them to loosen up!

So far no success!

See you tomorrow!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

Another Sunny Day In North Kent!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

You know what? I reckon we should have gone away on holiday the last couple of weeks!

I mean, just look at the sun shine we have missed!

Mind you, if any of the holiday places are like what has happened to our part of the world, then there will be loads of Two Legs and Mini Two Legs all charging about and making a terrible noise!

And it is the Big TL's that make most noise!

Down on the beach we had a dig and a roll on the sand. Miss May decided that she needed a 'Butt Rub' so she headed straight to the Sea Kale!

I love a Butt Rub in the Sea Kale!
One thing I did notice was the large amount of sea weed that the last tide had brought in. I decided not to go paddling in it and both ferrets and Holly agreed!

What can you do with sea weed?
A couple from the Corvid Family were digging around in the sea weed and eating loads of the bugs!

I Love a Buggy Breakfast!
Back home we left Old Two Legs to play with the old camera but we think he had trouble finding the correct tools to take the thing apart!

He has been mumbling all morning!

Lunchtime it was warm but not too warm, so Fred and Wendy got a walk down on the beach and with the loads of TL's going Oooo and Ahhhh and asking all the daft questions!

Fred and Wendy were on their best behaviour and got loads of strokes!

Back home we headed for our 'Snooze Spots' to await the call from The Missus to pick her up from the village hall.

OTL is still playing with the camera but we don't think he is getting on too well!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

It's been wet today, but not here!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

Well, today has been all sunshine here in North Kent. This morning we went down the beach with Old Two Legs and the ferrets, unfortunately Little Miss April  had one of her coughing fits which she gets as a result of her heart condition. OTL had to carry her for most of the walk giving her a cuddle. Well that's OK but it means he didn't get to take any photos!

April did her 'I want to get down' wriggle a couple of times which means OTL puts her down and she rushes off to the long grass for a wee and a poo!

Now normally she enjoys a run from the bench all the way back to the car but today she only managed half the distance before giving the 'Pick Me Up' signal to OTL, well actually she scrabbles at OTL's trouser leg and that is the sign!

Once home she and May were rampaging around the house pinching our biscuits and fighting, so April had got over her coughing fit!

Fred and Wendy had their turn at rampaging and both had fun getting their tummies tickled by OTL!

And that was after chasing The Missus around the kitchen!

After the cages were all cleaned the ferrets were tucked up and they had a wet towel hung on the cages, just to keep the temperature down to a 'Ferret Comfortable' level!

OTL was busy 'Manufacturing' so Holly and I got onto the bed with a 'Bonio Biscuit' each and started to make crumbs!

Lunchtime Freddy decided that it was too hot to go walkies and Wendy didn't even wake up, so we left them in comfort while we went off to see what Two Legs had turned up on our beach!

We couldn't go in the water, mainly because it was still on it's way up the beach and the Mud Foam was looking rather Yucky!

Another container ship.
There were loads of Two Legs on the beach and the car park was almost full but as we walked along the Sea Wall there wasn't one of them who had a sandwich we could pinch!

Not a Crumb to be Found!
As we got to our beach we spotted another pair of TL's resting on the beach and they had a woofer with them.

We hadn't seen one of these woofers before and Holly went straight up to her to say 'Hello'.

Holly asked what sort of woofer she was and was told that she was a Dachshund!

Holly said it sounds like a foreign name!

OK, come and meet OTL and he'll sort it out!
We took her to see OTL and she told us that the TL's called her 'Little Sausage'!

She said hello to OTL and even got her tummy tickled when she rolled on her back!

My name is Sausage!
She was having fun but then got called back to her TL's who were waiting for the tide to come in!

Bye Girls and Bye OTL!
Holly and I headed off towards the car park. I kept waiting for OTL to catch up but Holly went ahead, just to make sure the way was clear!

Come on OTL!
I heard Holly woofing but couldn't see her so I did my trick of standing up like a TL!

It didn't work and OTL had to lift me up so I could see where she was!

Sometimes it is handy to be as tall as OTL!

Now, where is that Holly Woofer?
Back home we settled down to watch the F1 Qualifying only to see that it was held up 'cos they had loads of rain!

They should have run the race over here 'cos we got loads of sunshine!

TM is out tomorrow morning good and early, she has another 'Master Class' so that means we can have all day with OTL playing games!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Sunny Friday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here again!

What a glorious day it has been! No rain, loads of sun shine and a dusting of cloud to keep the temperature down to acceptable!

May and April had a great time, May went exploring while April kept a look out from the top of the ferret bag!

I love new sniffs!
There were some ships out to sea, a couple of container carriers and a pleasure sailing craft.

Do you think they know sail has right of way?
On the way back to the car I got Old Two Legs to lift me up so I could have a good look around. He called me a 'Big Softy' but he doesn't realise that I can't see very far 'cos I got short legs and it's a rare treat for me to see more than ten feet away!

Lunchtime we left The Missus and Auntie Sheila slapping the glue pot around!

Wendy and Fred had some fun on the beach, Wendy was playing 'Bulldozers' by digging her nose into the sand and digging a trench!

OK, here we go!
The tide hadn't peaked so there was a load of 'Mud Froth' washing up on the beach and also it wasn't very deep either!

Is that a crab or an under sea 'Froth Ball'?
Holly wasn't getting anywhere near the froth and did suggest it would make her sniff something terrible!
You have just gotta be joking!
Freddy came down the beach to see what the froth was all about and even had a taste, which he described as 'Muddy Milk'!

He said that he would pass on the invitation for a swim in the froth and water and instead he would go swimming in the grass!

That tastes like YUCK!
We all had a good walk back to the car and while the ferrets were having a sniff Holly and I found a sniff that called for a roll!

By the time we were getting close to the car park the ferrets were feeling the heat, so OTL had to carry them both back to the car for a drink of water!

The ferrets were in first then Holly and I had a good drink. After Holly and I got back into the bed the ferrets went back to the water for another slurp!

Once they had finished OTL gave them both a couple of handfuls of water rubbed into their coats to help keep them cool!

Wet and Soggy Ferrets!

Back home we all crashed out in our 'Cool Spots' 'cos the sun had gone around the corner and the back of the house is cool and the front warms up!

Tomorrow OTL is going to play with the old camera to see if he can make it all work again. That way he will be able to mount it in the garden so we can see the animals that live there but hide when we go out for a wander around the garden!

Who knows, we may see some of the Trevor's that may be around!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Eye Spy!

Yo Woofers!

We are here again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

Not so hot today, in fact it was just right. The clouds kept the temperature down but there was enough sun to keep everyone happy!

Both sets of ferrets enjoyed a trip down the beach. Miss May had a roll in the Sea Kale while Miss April kept watch from the rim of the Ferret Bag!

I just love this stuff!
While May was investigating the Sea Kale she said that she could sniff not only shrew but also mouses!

She said she could just go for a mouse for breakfast!

A nice plump mouse with a side order of shrew!
Holly said that she could keep that, and what is wrong with lambs heart?

May said she hadn't tried Lambs Heart and Holly will have to save some for her the next time it she finds it in her bowl!

Holly said something about a snowballs chance in hell but I wasn't listening 'cos I had found a sniff that needed a good roll!

All today Old Two Legs has been installing a new wireless camera out the front of the house.

He couldn't put it where the other one was so he had to drill new holes for the power  cable.

As the caravan was on the drive he didn't have much room for the ladder and it ended up being almost vertical!

It's a good job that OTL was into rock climbing in the distant past and that helped him hang on with his finger nails and teethe while he drilled holes!

It's all installed now and the camera takes video of the front of the house, sends it back to Internet modem thingy and then via a cable to the computers or Wi-Fi to the Internetty and then to his mobile phone!

Clever or wot?

The old camera had to have a cable going from the camera to the TV screen and the resolution wasn't as good as this new camera!

Lunchtime we were down the beach, someone had pinched the ball we hid yesterday! Wendy said that we should have let her do a poo as well as a wee over the ball 'cos that would have stopped anyone pinching the ball!

Somehow I really didn't fancy a Ferret Wee and Poo covered ball, even if it got washed in the sea!

OTL found a stick, so I did some swimming after the stick once OTL had thrown it into the water!

Is that Sea Mist?
Back home OTL finished off the clearing up, took the ladder back around to the garage, walked back and took a look at his handy work.

It was then that he spotted the electric drill in the rain gutter where he had left it while he screwed the camera to the wall!

He had to get the ladder out again to retrieve the drill!

Wot a Plonker!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

We thought we had lost Freddy!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

Another super sunny day and a bit of a scare!

It started off this morning when we arrived at the beach, there it was, all covered in sea weed!

I mean, loads of it all washed up and dumped all over the beach so that we would got 'Squelch Squelch' if we tried running on it, never mind rolling in it!

Old Two Legs told us we were banned from the beach this morning, so we all headed off to the grass path to catch up on the sniffs!

Looks seriously Yucky!
I said I'd fancy a roll on the beach but Holly told me I had some disgusting habits and wandered off with her nose in the air!

OTL and The Missus had to go out this morning, so we all got a chance for a snooze without the jet powered vacuum cleaner keeping us awake!

They got back just before lunch and in time for our midday walk.

OTL dressed Freddy in his harness and shoved him into the travelling cage. Then he gave Wendy a cuddle and a slurp of Ferretone.

While he was doing that, Freddy got bored with sitting in the cage, he shoved the door open and wandered off under the desk, all without OTL seeing!

We all climbed into the car and off we went to the beach, leaving Freddy to a wander!

It was down in the car park that OTL opened the cage door only to find Wendy stretched out in the cuddle cup enjoying the space!

OTL had to phone home to check if TM had seen Freddy and she had, Freddy had decided to have a game of rolling about in the plastic shopping bags!

We think Freddy had got fed up with the running away bit after last time, well, there are no good sniffs or sea weed in our gardens!

Down on the beach the tide was in and I found a tennis ball with the covering ripped off, that means it will fit very nicely into my mouth!

So OTL and I had a game of 'Fetch The Ball' while Holly sat on the Sea Wall catching up with her sun tan!

Jus' the right size!
While I was waiting for OTL and Wendy to catch up with the ball I settled down to trimming off some more of the covering from the tennis ball, in the end it fitted perfectly!

Tailor Made for my Chops!
When the game was over, OTL took the ball and hid it in the grass so we could play with it again tomorrow!

Wendy said that she would do a wee on if so the other woofers would think it strange and leave it alone.

That might be OK fro her but I had to point out that I was planning to carry it in my mouth!

A Ferret Wee should cover up the Woofer Sniff!
We got back home to find Freddy had gone back to bed to show off!

He had the whole cage to himself and had moved around from 'Cool Space' to 'Cool Space'!

So far this afternoon the temperature has reached thirty one degrees, not the weather for charging about. So, we all retired to a cool spot for a snooze until dinner time!

No sign of the frogs, so we will have to consult Archie Babe on how to keep frogs in the garden!

 See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Another Sunny Day!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

Wot a super day it was yesterday, loads of sun shine and it was warm and sticky in the house.

Old Two Legs was prepared for the warm weather 'cos he draped the cage with a damp towel and then shoved frozen blocks from the freezer. Both sets of ferrets thought it was wonderful and soon curled up in the 'Cuddle Cup' or on top of the blanket.

Well, today, having got the experience yesterday it wasn't too long before they were all enjoying the chilled bed!

Down on the beach we looked for any ships that may have berthed overnight but it was surprisingly void of ships!

The sun was climbing up into the sky and OTL took this picture saying it was a 'Star Ship' in the sky!

A passing Star Ship!
Holly and I got bored with 'Ship Watching and settled down for a well earned roll on the sand!

If you gotta roll then you gotta roll!
Back home the Page 3 Girls enjoyed a rampage around the house but were pleased when they got back into the cage for a cooling snooze!

Fred and Wendy had a good time playing tricks on OTL, Wendy was chuckling away as she ran up OTL's trouser leg and gave his leg a lick!

Freddy spent most of the time on his back having his tummy tickled! He does enjoy this game and is always laughing his tail off!

After all that running around both Freddy and Wendy crashed out in their cool beds and in no time were fast asleep!

It wasn't too long before lunchtime arrived and we headed off to the beach again.

Nothing much had changed except it was a little warmer and the was one boat out to sea, a Pleasure Craft.

You can tell that holiday time has arrived!

Just one Sailing Craft!
The tide was in, so was I, straight in and swimming among the sea weed!

Throw the stick or I'll bite your leg!
OTL found a stick and while Holly was catching the rays I was having a great time!

OTL had brought one of his big cameras and a 'Macro 105mm Lens'. This is the one he uses for taking pictures of insects and close up of flowers.

Pretty but no insects!
Now, remember yesterday when I told you the flower was white? Well, here it is in it's full colour, or lack of colour!

Look! No Infrared!
While OTL was clicking away at the bloom we spotted a Dragon Fly ducking and diving around the bushes, then it landed on a bush and OTL did his 'Creeping Up On Insect' stalk and managed this shot.

First this year!
Back home the best thing we could think of doing was snoozing in a cool spot!

At the moment it is twenty six degrees centigrade and we expect it go a bit higher before this evening!

I think that tonight we have some Lambs Heart for dinner, but only when it cools down!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.
