OTL Starts the Rebuild!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, iss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Wot a super sunny day it's been today. A little chilly first thing but that didn't stop the ferrets from enjoying their walk.

Young Eric is really chancing his tail, you know, that little Rat Chops tried to give me a nip just cos I wasn't getting out of his way! I gave him the Woofer Grumble and asked him 'Just how much does he value his tail!'

I think he got the message!

Mind you, you have got to admire his bravery, I mean, he is barely one kilo and I'm nine and a bit kilos! A sort of one sided punch up if he carries on!

Come on, let's sneak up on them!
It was then that May requested a little carry but Eric didn't see her and got all upset cos he thought she had run away!

Hey! Where has she gone? May is Missing!
Of course, she hadn't but that taught Eric a lesson to keep his eyes open!

Back at the football field, Holly found as super sniff that had her name on it!

Old Two Legs says her name should be 'Smelly Woofer'!

This is almost as good as a bowl of chicken!
On our way out at lunchtime we tried to find the sniff but we couldn't find it anywhere!

I hate it when you loose a sniff!
I got down to the beach before OTL and Holly arrived, there was Cody and his mate having a little splash, so I joined in and managed a splash before OTL started calling me!

A sneaky splash!
I thought it was great fun getting a dip in the water before OTL could tell me off!

I beat OTL! I beat OTL! I beat OTL! I beat OTL! I beat OTL! I beat OTL! I beat OTL!
We didn't take Freddy and Wendy cos they were both asleep and didn't want to get up!

This afternoon OTL was out working on the caravan, getting the new battery installed and re installing the gas bottles and clearing out the rubbish out of the front of the caravan!

He has been in touch with the manufacturers of the caravan looking to get a replacement front end to the caravan cos it has some cracking of the plastic so he has asked if they can put a new one on or repair the existing one!

More expenses!

See you tomorrow!

I was Feeling Neglected!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

It was a bit chilly this morning, the wind was blowing in from off the sea and even the ferrets stayed tucked up in Old Two Legs arms until the last minute!

As normal, with two woofers and two ferrets he didn't take the camera and the phone stayed in his pocket in case we were visited by Ferocious Woofers!

Mind you, we didn't see any but you never know when one will pop out from behind a hedge!

Some good news! We had chicken served up for lunch and as we both finished the bowl, there was a Teeth Cleaning Chew each as a 'Treat'!

Lunchtime came and Freddy decided to stay in bed, well, he had got all exhausted running around the lounge and jumping up and down on the bubble wrap!

A quick slurp of Ferretone and then a dash back to bed and that was him sorted for the afternoon!

Wendy decided as the sun was poking it's head out from behind the clouds that she would come for a walk with us.

The tide was right in, in fact it was right up the beach and Holly reckons it could even be a Spring Tide!

Well, it looks like a Spring Tide to me!
Miss Wendy said that it was most likely a Spring Tide cos it was Spring Time and the grass was growing quickly!

Miss Wendy is clever sort of ferret but really only socialises in Ferret stuff!

The grass is Rizz, I wonder where the Mole Hills Iz?
Ferrets aren't very good at poetry!

We had a good game charging across the football field  to find the latest sniffs. Miss Wendy was up for that game especially if there was a chance of catching a Mole!

Any Moles under the grass?
When we got back we found that we had visitors, Terry and Shirley, they had come over to see if OTL can work out how to program a radio scanner!

There was OTL and Terry plonking about with the buttons and getting nowhere. Then, just as they were about to give up, OTL made a 'Mistake' and the thing worked!

So, then it was having to 'Work Backwards' to find out what he had done to make it work!

Loads of poking and pulling and fiddling but finally they managed to make it work 'On Command'!

Now, I was getting right fed up with them fiddling and decided I needed some attention. So, I jumped up onto OTL's lap and snuggled down for a cuddle!

OTL got the message and we had a good cuddle while he was gassing with Terry!

I wonder what is for dinner tonight, steak and chips or is it still salad stuff!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Sunshine Again!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back with you again!

I don't know what sort of day you have had but here is has been 'Relaxing'!

It started off with our morning walk along the sea front with both Eric and Miss May.

May was being a little lazy and stayed cuddled up to Old Two Legs until we turned to home and only then would she get down and have a run!

Eric, on the other paw, all he wanted to do was get down, have a sniff and get back up again.

As soon as we turned for home he was down and running along with Miss May!

Back home we had a great time playing with some bubble wrap that had been wrapped around a couple of new ferret cages that will pass through the caravan door without having to tip the cage on it's side, sending ferrets and ferret poo crashing into the side wall!

Luckily for us the rain that landed last night had gone by the time we got out so the grass wasn't that wet.

Lunchtime we took Miss Wendy with us and left Freddy to have a snooze. You see Freddy is getting old now and is not as active as he used to be. We took him out a couple of days ago and he has taken two days to get over it!

Miss Wendy, on the other paw is a couple of years younger and can still enjoy a jog along the shore sniffing the sniffs!

Get a move on or I'll run you over!
What we like about Wendy is, she doesn't try to give you a nip if we get too close! Not like Eric, he is always trying to catch us and it really upsets Holly!

Here I come! I told you to move!
Being a Sunday, there were the normal tourists plus a big gang of fishermen. We didn't bother with the fishermen 'cos they had all eaten their sarnies but we did get stopped by the tourists. you know, 'does she bite/smell/only come out at night?' Gawd, the number of times we have heard that!

OK, where have the fish gone?
No sarnies, no fish, might as well go home!
When we got back, Freddy came out of the cage for a little run around the house and to play with the bubble wrap. He also loves getting into the plastic shopping bags to have a good scratch! OTL also rolled him onto his back for a tickle and also to blow a raspberry on Freddy's tummy!

Freddy loves that and he always chuckles when OTL does it!

We all watched to F1 Racing which was interesting but not wildly exciting. You see, once Hamilton gets in front, no one can catch him, unless there is a 'Safety Car' moment but as long as he is in front, off he goes again, it seems that the Mercedes don't like 'Dirty Air'!

OK, we are off to do Holly's ears now 'cos OTL got another bottle of ear gunk to get rid of the Streptococklewottsit bug that has mad a home in both ears! It's slowly going and by the time we have finished the bottle it should have gone, a bit like OTL's money!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Saturday is fun!

Hello Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Today The Missus is off to her Master Class and as normal, she was up before the sun!

We all stayed in bed enjoying the extra space on the bed!

Finally we had to get up 'cos the noise she was making, no one could sleep through!

So, about quarter to seven us, the ferrets and Old Two Legs were heading down to the sea shore.

Because we had been having some wind over night, that stopped the dew from forming so both ferrets were charging about and rolling in sniffs!

OTL didn't bring the camera 'cos two woofers and two ferrets to look after didn't give him time to take any pictures!

It still was fun and the ferrets just loved diving into the dried grass that was left in piles after the groundsmen had mown the football field!

Freddy didn't want to get up this morning. He stayed in bed an extra hour and said he was feeling 'Worn Out' from age. We reckon Freddy to be six years plus and that is a good age for a ferret but now he would rather stay under the blankets than charge across a grassy football field, mind you OTL says that as well, normally when it is raining and Holly and I want to go out for a walk!

Lunchtime we left Freddy and Miss Wendy snoozing 'cos it was raining and ferrets just hate the rain!

Holly and I didn't hang about, a quick wee and then we head back to the car!

We were going to watch the F1 qualifying but as OTL had some work to do we left that until this evening when we can all watch it from the recording!

So, not such a wild and dangerous day, just a sort of lazy Saturday, maybe it will get exciting tomorrow!

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Eric plays the Red Indian!

Hi Woofers!

The gang is back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

We thought it was going to rain today but we were wrong, it's tomorrow. Well according to the weather forecaster!

It has to rain tomorrow cos it's the weekend!

Eric and May came out with us first thing and Eric said he was going to have a game with Holly.

All the way down to the sea front Eric was telling May how Ferrets were first kept by the American Indians and they were train in how to capture Buffalo for dinner!

Holly Chops was listening but pretended not to be listening, if you know what I mean!

So, it started.

Holly was nose down in the grass investigating a tasty sniff, when, out of the corner of her eye she spotted two ferrets creeping through the grass!

OK, go around to the right and circle her!
Miss May kept telling Eric to keep his tail down but forgot to stop waving hers!

OK, now we start to gallop and when she gets dizzy watching us we can then go and bite her tail!
Well, that was the idea but of course, Holly was watching all the time and as soon as they got near she woofed at them and chased them around in a circle!

Eric disappeared into the grass while May rushed over to Old Two Legs to get protection!

Quick! I need to be rescued from a ferocious woofer!
Before long both ferrets were up in OTL's arm while Holly just sat there with a Superior Look on her face!

You gotta be better than that to catch me!
Lunchtime Freddy and Wendy came out with us and although Freddy didn't walk all the way, he did get down for a little wander as well as a wee!

When we got to the football field he got down again and in his own time walked all the way across the field!

Mind you, he has spent all the afternoon snoring his tail off!

Now, Isle of Mull, here is another shot of an eagle flying down to get a fish thrown from the boat!

Fish are OK but I wonder what a ferret tastes like?
You know, when the eagle is full grown her wingspan can get up to ten feet!

Now that's one big bird!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

A Sort of Infrared Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back again!

Wot a super day it turned out to be! It started off raining on us while we were out for our morning stroll and Miss May did her 'Carry Me Daddy' so that Old Two Legs couldn't play with the camera in the phone but we didn't mind too much cos there were loads of new sniffs.

Archie Babe would just love the sniffs, we even found some sausage sniffs where the weekend tourists had a B-B-Q in a silver paper tin wottsit and set fire to it on one of the table and benches set out for the visitors! Wot a bunch of Dozy Bozos these Two Legs can be!

As I said, May stayed cuddled up in OTL's arms until we got to the last bit and then she got down for a run, poo and a wee, but not in that order!

Lunchtime we asked Fred and Wendy if they wanted to come out but they didn't even wake up to say 'no'!

Well, that means OTL can play with the photographic stuff and today he took the Infrared Camera with him. He hasn't had that out for some time so it was interesting to see the results!

Pity IR doesn't show up the sniffs!
All the trees reflect IR but it was the stuff that didn't reflect IR that was the most interesting, well, to OTL it was!

No, it's not exhaust from the ship, it's IR given off by the trees!
Because it all comes out in a sort of Black & White there are some interesting sights.

This is a Speckled Wood and is brown in colour!
Looking at Holly Chops you wouldn't think she was Black & White all over!

....and the Harness is Black and Red!
Now, we have been looking at some of the photo's OTL took when he went to Isle of Mull. this one is pretty good, well we like it and he is thinking about printing and framing it!

The fish is about the size of a ferret! Well, that's what we told Eric!
The Missus has got her computer back, all re formatted and up to date and clean of any nasty bugs that had crept in via her dodgy websites she visits!

There is another eagle picture that looks good, we will try and show it tomorrow!

OK, we can sniff food so, bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret

One of those days!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

We have had an exciting day today, it started off with Eric and May coming for a walk with us this morning. There was loads of dew on the grass again and May decided that Old Two Legs arms was the best place to be while little Eric spent all his time dancing through the grass getting wetter and wetter!

Holly was wandering and sniffing when Eric jumped up and gave her ear a nip. It was a good thing OTL was watching 'cos Holly Chops gave Eric a good telling of and even threatened to bite his tail!

Eric was suitably told off!

When we got back The Missus was sitting at her computer calling it a load of strange names!

We heard her start off with 'You pile of............' and then it went on and on!

I didn't know that a computer could have so many names!

OTL had a look but couldn't do anything so he made a call to the menders and arranged to drop it in.

Now that was OK 'cos Holly and I were looking forward to a ride after our lunchtime walk.

The sun was shining and we had a great time woofing at all the woofers walking on the path at the side of the road.

Lucky for TM, the man in the menders said he could repair it and it may need be wiped clean and a new operating system re installed!

Sound very technical to us!

So, come Friday we expect a call from the man and we'll be going down there again with OTL to pick it up.

Until then, TM will have to use her laptop or her phone.

So many computers!

Good to see little Izzy again and good to hear the family is all well.

Archie Babe is getting a little more scoff, well that's just got to be good news!

Sorry about the photo's or lack of photo's, blame OTL, he has been too busy talking on the phone instead of taking pictures!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Keep on with the Pills!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, this morning we heard that Archie Babe is back home with a change of medication, seems he is back on a course of steroid tablets. Now, in our experience Steroid Tablets are easier to take than dustbin lid stuff they normally expect you to chew on!

I mean, have you ever tried a Worming Tablet? Well, let me tell you, it's like trying to chew on a  King Size Pizza made of Concrete!

We were up about thirty minutes late today so it was all rush and tear to get us all out in time!

We left Freddy and Wendy asleep 'cos they said it was too wet on the grass to go prancing about!

Eric enjoys the dew but May always hangs on until we head for home before getting down for a run!

Because of the dew there were loads of spider webs on the ground and a few in the bushes.

Home of a Ground Nesting Spider according to Holly Chops!
Eric was jumping in and out of the spider webs, he thought it great fun!

That's number twenty nine!
I must admit, while Old Two Legs was trying to get Eric out of the grass, I shot off to the beach and had a quick splosh before OTL spotted me!

There was little or no waves it was almost as flat as a mill pond!

The waves were made by the container ships going past several miles off shore, according the Holly Chops!
Back home we retired to our cushions and enjoyed a Bonio followed by a well earned snooze!

Holly preparing for bed!
Holly is one of those woofers that turn around in a circle several times before collapsing down in a heap and of course when she does that she sometimes looses sight of her Bonio!

Me looking guilty having just pinched Holly's Bonio!
Lunchtime we were out again and OTL met up with the man who does all the grass cutting on the sea front. OTL, being OTL, made representations about the grass cutting, saying it was too short 'cos since the grass was cut, he hadn't seen a Lizard or Grass Snake or a Stoat, all of which he has seen before!

The man said that they intended to let it grow up to twelve inches, so he reckons the insects will come back!

They had better or OTL will have more words!

Mind you, letting the grass grow a bit is OK by me, I mean, a girls gotta hide in the grass when she's having a poo!

All our best wishes to Archie Babe, keep on with the pills!

Luv,

Too Many Tourists!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Wot a Super Day it has been. The sunshine started early this morning but Old Two Legs decided that the ferrets could stay in bed rather than come out for a walk 'cos the grass was soaking wet with dew.

None of the ferrets, with the exception of Eric, like having their tummy's cold and wet with early morning dew!

In fact Freddy said that he would be quite happy playing in the shopping bags and hiding in the furniture rather than go out for a walk, he just doesn't feel up to marching all over the sea front!

That left Holly Chops and I plenty of time to enjoy our own rampage around the sea front!

CHARGE!
As luck would have it, the tide was in, well actually it had come in and now was going out, but, there was enough water there for me to get wet right up to my tummy!

I do love a geed early morning splosh!
OTL wasn't too happy about me getting wet but I was just too far ahead of him and no matter how much he jumped up and down and waved his paws over his head, I was going in!

Me, doing the 'Soggy Doggy' look!
Holly Chops decided to stay up on the Sea Wall and refused to go anywhere near the water, even when I came back onto the wall to show her the way down onto the sand!

I don't look good when I'm wet so I will be a 'Dry Doggy' thanks all the same!
Back home we were banned to the bedroom while OTL did the 'De-Pooing' game he plays in the ferret cages and when he had finished he came into us and planted a tube of Anti Tick stuff onto our shoulders!

I can see that it will be an irritant tonight!

Hey! Good news that Archie Babe is back home and nibbling at the scoff. Claws all crossed here and a cuddle on the sofa is the best medicine!

Lunchtime Eric and May came out with us and although there were loads of tourists floating about OTL only had to pick up the ferrets once when a big wet German Shepherd Dog came bounding up to sniff us and the ferrets!

When we got back to the football field both ferrets went into 'Hunting Mode' and demolished three mole hills looking for the Mole Hole!

Just where is this Mole Hole?
Back in the car, OTL got his phone camera out and took a picture of Holly and me, just to show you how much he had shaved off out faces!

The Missus likes it 'cos she says that she can see our eyes now!

All the better for seeing you my dear!
Of course, Holly would only pose in profile 'cos she says that she looks better like this.

Talk about show off!

This is my best side, even with the short hair!
Tomorrow it's back to work again so we had better make the most of today!

Lots of love and licks to Archie Babe and keep yer Tail Up lad, it will make you feel better!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Who is the Star of the Show?

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Well, at the time of pounding the keys on the laptop we haven't heard any more about Archie Babe so we are all crossing our claws and working on the theory that 'no news is good news'!

We know he had some breakfast this morning so that is a good sign!

All woofers need their breakfast!

It has been another super sunny day and both sets of ferrets came out with Holly and I on our walks.

Me scouting out for tourists!
Once again it was Eric and May first thing and May was not impressed with the dew on the grass, again, and insisted on getting a carry from Old Two Legs for most of the trip around the sea front!

Eric on the other paw was having fun by getting soaked in dew and swishing his tail about and sloshing all the dew over us as he passed by!

Lunchtime Fred and Wendy joined us and Fred, being Fred, decided that just a couple of steps to begin with followed by six steps to end with was going to be his contribution for the day!

Wendy was all up for a run and galloped all the way back to the car 'cos she was getting all excited about us dropping in to see Rosie at the village hall!

While Holly and I did the rounds looking for something edible to mug, Wendy was getting cuddles from Rosie!

Wendy getting cuddles from Rosie!
We have to keep a careful watch on Rosie 'cos Wendy is her Favourite Ferret and would love to take her home!

Holly and I couldn't find any food so we had to go home empty pawed!

Tonight we are going to get our first dose of 'Anti Tick Drops' which itch like mad on the first application and while Holly seems to cope, I HATE IT!

Still, I suppose it is better than having Ticks trying to eat you!

Now, all we can do is wait for news on Archie Babe, keep yer tail up lad!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!
