I'm just a Sleepy Woofer!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Last night Old Two Legs stayed up later than normal 'cos he watched two DVDs instead of the normal one!

That means, The Missus goes to be ad early 'cos she has to get up the hall tomorrow to get the tables set out for the Glue & Glitter Gang, OTL goes to bed late and us woofers get stuck in the middle!

OTL fell out of bed at the normal time but I didn't. Like I was tired, in fact I was 'Dog Tired' in fact I was Seriously Woofer Tired'!

I stuck my head under the duvet and went back to sleep!

When it came to that time when I get up to have my harness put on ready for a walk, I was still fast asleep, 'Dog Tired'!

You know, it took a whole ten minutes for OTL to get me up and dressed!

I think I will try that again tomorrow, a little extra snooze time is always welcome!

As normal, it was still dark when we went for a walk but by the time we had finished the walk we could see it was getting brighter, Spring is on it's way!

Back home we decided to finish off our snooze, both Holly and I fell asleep under the desk on our cushions.

I do enjoy a morning snooze!

Lunchtime the sun was out and the wind had dropped, so, for the first time this year OTL left his big coat at home and wore the light fleece thingy wottist!

A  sure sign that Spring is coming!
When he has the camera with him, OTL likes to try to get a shot of us running together. Now Holly is a bit of a pickle 'cos she will turn her head away or run past him as fast as she can go so that all he gets is a doggy blur!

Today he tried to get a shot but this time increased the shutter speed up to 1/500 sec!

Still not fast enough!
Before he could check and adjust the speed up some more, I came through like a Greyhound!

Better luck next time!
Back home both Eric and Wendy were rattling the cage 'cos they had sniffed the Chicken Strips  and the Ferretone!

Just for a change, Wendy was first out of the cage and straight into the Ferretone and while Eric was trying to lick the last out of the bottle cap, Wendy grabbed a Chicken Strip and headed back into the cage and under the blanket where she sat and chewed away until it had all gone!

Eric also grabbed a Chicken strip and headed up to the bed at the top of the cage and sat in there munching away, leaving not even a crumb!

OTL says that if the weather is like today, he may take the ferrets out for a run along the beach for a dig in the sand!

We are off to see what is for dinner, or what OTL is having and what we can pinch!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

A Woofer Choir?

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

We were out a little later than normal this morning, mainly 'cos Old Two Legs didn't get up at the normal time!

He was hoping that there might be a sunrise to photograph but unfortunately it looks like the sun was late in getting up as well!

Not exactly a mind blowing landscape!
We did have some fun though. We met up with some of the woofers and had a lesson in close harmony howling!

Holly and I hadn't done it before so we sat back and listened.

The woofers lined up on the Sea Wall Steps and were counted in to start, 1,2,3,9!

Then they all gave it stick!

Swe-et Vio-lets, Sweeter than all the Rozz-es!
Actually, it wasn't too bad except that Jasper was a little flat!

Good fun, and we all got a nibble afterwards!

On the way back to the car park we spotted a new Grain Rock, only a couple of paces from Rosie's Rock.

Is it a Piggy Rock or a Woofer Rock?
Rosie's Rock was still there sitting on top of the Moss Mound looking all bright and shining!

Now I have someone to keep me company!
We spent the morning snoozing and even had a nibble at the Chicken Strips OTL got for to ferrets, well, Eric said we could share a couple between me and Holly!

To be honest, I thought that I'd get more that a 'share' of two strips!

Lunchtime we headed off again and once again the sky looked rather grey and drab!

The only thing blowing was the wind!
Mind you, we got a run on the beach and Holly did her famous 'Sand Diving Trick' and covered her self in sea weed and sand!

Just gotta remember to keep her mouth shut!
A bit further on she managed to find a really good sniff and before OTL could stop her she managed a good roll, covering her harness with some super smelly poo!

As soon as we got in she was given a good wash down and the harness headed for the washing machine!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

Eric de Ferret!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

Old Two Legs has a camera that is supposed to do video as well as the standard photo, and looking at the Blog controls, you are supposed to be able to up load a video, so, you know what he has done?

Yep, a video of us woofers chasing a rook or two!

Well, we uploaded it and it just sat there looking at us!  There is a possibility that it will fire up when we 'Publish' it but I wouldn't hold your breath!

Holly reckons he should stick to the old Clickey Click just like he did when Eric decided to climb up the outside of the cage and blow raspberries at OTL!

I'm Stuck!
Trouble with Eric is that he gets into the most awkward places and gets stuck. Take this morning, there he was in one of OTL's wellies and got stuck trying to double up and get out, only there was just too much Eric and not enough welly boot!

It took a while but in the end OTL got him out and was rewarded with a big licky kiss on his nose!

After that, where did we find him?

Yep! On tom of the cage, again!

OK, I'll play here then!
Now, Just for Archie Babe with that reoccurring problem, here's a picture of Holly and I with our own problems!

I eat rabbit poo and get a Grumbly Tum!
Holly on the other paw just can't get enough to eat and after her quota of rabbit poo, she gets a big Grumbly Tum

It's only dangerous when I sneeze!
This afternoon OTL and The Missus headed off to do some shopping, well, TM to get some paper and OTL to get a big bag of chicken strips.

There is going to be some Happy Woofers tonight!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Winding up OTL!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret back again!

This time of the year when we go for a walk first thing it is still dark and normally Old Two Legs would leave the camera at home.

Today however, camera in hand we headed off to the Sea Wall expecting to get a shot of the morning glow but when we got down there all we saw were the lights of Sheerness Docks!

The sun is there but a long way down the coast!
The camera has a pop up flash light that means we can take pictures in the dark!

Mind you, the light doesn't travel very far!

I can sniff it but the light is too quick to see it!
Back home it was work, work, work. It is rather boring this work stuff and Holly had an idea on how we can brighten things up!

You see it works like this.

There is OTL, at his desk, plonking away on the computer when, without any notice, Holly would jump up and give the back of his chair a good whack! Then, when he turns around she gives him a woof and runs out of the office and stops at the top of the stairs, looks back at OTL and gives another woof!

By now OTL is up out of his chair and following Holly who now is at the bottom of the stairs looking back up and woofing like she needs OTL urgently!

Down the stairs comes OTL and has to climb over The Missus legs to get to the back door where Holly has stopped and was woofing her tail off!

As soon as OTL got to the door, Holly runs off and back up to the office again!

Now it is my turn and off we go again!

Grrreat Fun!

After a while OTL got fed up and put his coat on and called us to put on our harnesses on and off we went for an early lunchtime walk!

The tide was on its way in we saw a rook picking bits off the sea weed on the rocks and just for a change, Holly decided not to have her run along the sandy beach and instead stood on the Sea Wall and gave the rook a good woofing!

Hey Shrimpy, come to me!
We headed off towards the forest and raced OTL to the top of the stairs!

Shall we go back for him or shall we wait!
In the end we waited!

When we got to the forest we found Rosie's Rock still in it's place and we waved as we passed!

Back home we headed up to the office for a well deserved snooze on our bed!

We know how to enjoy ourselves!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

First Sign of Spring!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

I am glad to report that we had our normal quota of snooze time last night, even though, The Missus fell asleep on the sofa and kept us all awake with her snoring!

After a while Holly got fed up with the noise and climbed onto the sofa and stuck her nose in TM's ear!

That woke her up!

Then she staggered off to bed!

Still, us woofers got a good nights sleep and OTL got his fare share of snoozes!

It is still dark in the mornings but the sky this morning had a sort of glow that indicated the sun wouldn't be long before it poked its nose over the horizon!

Spring is coming!

Lunchtime we were down the beach again and although there was a clear blue sky and some wind it sort of felt more like Spring than we have felt for a few weeks!

Yeah, Spring like but that wind sure blows up yer tail!
One of the good things about the lunchtime walk is trotting along the Sea Wall. OTL says it has two uses, one is to keep an eye on us and the second is to keep our claws ground down to our normal length!
I don't mind a claw trim like this cos the I just hate the clippers!
Rosie's Rock is still there on the moss mound and OTL says we will leave it there and see just how long it takes to go wandering!

Still here but the plants are growing!
As we got close to the car park OTL spotted some blooms on the Hawthorne Tree! Not just flower buds but real flowery blooms!

And it's still January!

Real Live Blooms!
So, there he is, snapping away to get a good shot with a camera that is a little wobbly on the focus!

Manual focus and f3.5! We really must get the big camera out!
So, there we are, the first blooms this year and Spring is on it's way!

See you tomorrow!

Sometimes an extra couple of hours is just wot you need!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here and have we been a lazy lot today!

Last night The Missus went to bed around eight thirty leaving us all watching TV and getting a nibble or two off Old Two Legs.

Normally that would not be a problem except that TM had spent the evening snoozing!

So, in the middle of the night, well, five past three, TM decided to get up cos she couldn't get back to sleep!

Gawd knows what time she woke up but five past three was when she got up!

OTL was woken up and took a couple of hours to get back to sleep.

So, at just five minutes before eight she came crashing into the bedroom and announced in a big voice, are you going to stay in bed all day?

OTL said that was a good idea but us woofers need a breath of fresh air and a walk through the grass!

So today has been all of two hours late, all day!

The manufacturing has been late, chasing customer for money has been late and so has lunch plus the midday walk and finally the stuff for the carrier was late as well!

We now have a plan, we are going to make a lot of noise if we see TM with her eyes closed for more than a blink and only let her go to bed at nine.

We hope!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

A Lazy Sunday.

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

This morning Old Two Legs fell out of bed right on time, as he calls it, six hundred hours!

The only trouble is, he woke me up as he got out of bed!

It was still dark when we went out and as we arrived at the car park by the football field we spotted a couple of big foxes across the other side of the field. They were running towards the bramble bushes and heading home after a night out exploring the dustbins in the village!

They didn't hang around to show us what they got, no matter how much we woofed at them!

Sorry to read that Archie Babes TL feeling 'Tom & Dick', as we say down here, maybe she should add more water with it next time!

Well, that's wot OTL says when The Missus wakes up with grumbles!

Being Sunday we got our normal load of visitors and there were a few woofers to say hello to as we headed towards the Sea Wall.
More sniffs from strangers!
We got around to Rosie's Rock and found it had been moved but the way it was moved looks like it was trod on by a woofer rather than a TL, so, OTL put it back to where it was and we will see what happens tomorrow when we pass!

Look! It's back again!
We noticed this morning that the sky seemed a little lighter, meaning, it won't be long before OTL starts looking for 'Sunrises'!

If it gets good I reckon he will be getting the big camera out and his favourite lens!

Claws crossed!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Miss Wendy's Birthday!

Hello Woofers

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Today is Miss Wendy's birthday!

It was back in January 2016 that OTL took Freddy along to Harrietsham Ferret Rescue to see who would like to come home with him after loosing Wilma.

The first little girl that came out was Wendy who, in true girl fashion, she screamed at Freddy and tried to bite his butt!

Freddy just turned around and went to sleep!

Miss Wendy was thought to be around a year old and had a crinkly ear, a brown tooth, wobbly butt and a thick neck!

That was it, she came home with us and became super friends with Freddy until he passed on leaving Wendy on her own. That didn't last long 'cos young Monty arrived and was instructed on how he should behave to a little girl!

It started off with her screaming at him!

Sadly Monty left us and once again Wendy was on her own until Eric was introduced to her. Now Eric was kept in a separate cage with Miss May 'cos they didn't get on with Wendy and Monty and after Miss May left us we were left with two cages and two ferrets that have spent their time trying to attack each other through the cage bars!

Well, you know the story and after six months of careful monitoring and screaming from Wendy, Young Eric and Miss Wendy settled down to a comfortable life with each other in the same cage and cuddling every night!

So, after that history lesson we decided that Wendy was a year old plus the four years she has been with us.

We got us a five year old lovable, cuddly little girl with a crinkly ear and brown tooth, a wobble butt and a thick neck!

Somethings never change!

So, now here comes the song, after seven,   Five, Six and a Half, SEVEN!

Happy Birthday Miss Wendy,
Your Butt is all Bendy
Your ear is so crinkly,
but we all love yooooo!

There you go, another birthday and she is still bouncing around, chasing Eric and giving Old Two Legs lots of Licky Kisses!

As it's her birthday, Holly and I let her have our Chicken Strip, which she buried under the blanket!

Wendy loves exploring in and out of the drawers!
OTL normally brings up the ferret milk but that doesn't mean that she can't slurp the last of OTL's breakfast!
It's Naughty but Nice!
As a birthday prezzie OTL left a Chicken strip under the lip of the bowl and it didn't take long before she found it!

Hello, Hello, wot's this I sniff?
Of course, there is always the morning slurp of Ferretone and as it's her birthday, she got an extra slurp!
Three cap fulls, must be my birthday!
After the Ferretone it's back to the milk bowl, just to wet her tongue!

There is still a bit in the corner!
After she finishes there is nothing left, however, it doesn't stop her from looking for the last drop in the bottom!

OK, I give up, it's all gone!
If it wasn't so grey and misty outside we would have taken her and Eric out for a walk but they both declined saying they would rather stay warm and cuddly under the blanket!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Nuffin's Changed!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Now, have you ever suffered from dayjarview?

Well, we did today 'cos when we got to the sea front, there it was, the same as yesterday!

Just look at the colours!
It's a shame when it is like this 'cos we would rather have something interesting to look at instead of wet concrete!

Lunchtime was no different but we did call on Rosie's Rock and it was still there, sitting on the Moss Mound!

We reckon that the Two Legs that pass this spot might confuse the yellow colour with the dead leaves from the trees!

Don't know how the TL's can miss it but most of them walk around with their eyes close first thing in the morning!
Back home we decided that the best idea on how to spend the afternoon, snoozing!

Under the office desk we each have a cushion which I must say is soft and warm and just big enough for Holly and I can stretch my paws out to all four corners!

The Missus has been out all day with her mates so we will be glad to see her when she gets back!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

Another Snoozy Day

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here again and guess wot?

Yep, it's another of those snoozy grey days!

I know it's still January but just for a change can't we have a bit of sunshine?

We were up again at six this morning, poor Old Two Legs was woken up at five thirty by something, he doesn't know what it was but he thinks it could have been The Missus 'cos she was up early with one of her 'Insparations'!

OTL says he is normally 'Inspired' to go back to sleep again were it not for the fact that Holly or I had given his ear a good licking!

We took the camera today but the chance of a photo is zero, I mean, clouds, dark, grey skies and misty rain!
Just look at that vista!
Using Sheerness Docks as a background and Holly and I in the foreground we managed this one.

Well, it's still misty!
We noticed that the last of Rosie's Grain Rock still hasn't been found yet. OTL says he is leaving it where it is as Rocks have been hidden there before and were found after a while.

Then, Just a few yards further on we spotted another Rock on the bench!
A bit early for the Poppy?

They have been spreading chopped up trees on the path to soak up the water and reduce the muddy patches.
Looks posh!
Just as we got to the car park Holly got all excited, there, walking and sniffing their way along the road was the Huskies Holly likes winding up!

She ran through the middle of them and then around them and finally back through the middle again!

Can't catch me cos I'm off the lead!
We had the groomer visit today, not for Holly and me but for TM. She didn't get washed and blow dried like wot we have to but she got a 'Dry Cut'. Holly an I watched her get shaved but she didn't have as much hair removed as we do, not fair!

Can you imaging TM with the same hair cut as OTL?

Those ferrets have been hiding their Chicken Strips all over the place and no matter how much Holly and I woof for OTL to help dig them out from under the chairs or the furniture, we still don't get to them!

We made such a fuss that in the end we got a couple of strips from out of the bag!

Sorted!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
