All the Seasons in one day!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

You know, we miss having Old Two Les around but Imust say, it is peaceful having just The Missus to cope with. I mean, we get our walks on time and she doesn't keep shouting to us to 'Keep Up' when we want to hang back for a good sniff or two!

The weather has been kind to us today, a bit cloudy but what rain there has been, we missed and the heavy stuff came over night!

We had news from OTL  who together with Alun went off searching for Golden Eagles. The B&B owner said that she see's a Golden Eagle nearly every day coming from the 'Ben' across the bay and we should camp out in the car to watch for it.

Well they did and they sat and they sat and they sat and finally OTL fell asleep!

No Eagles!

Off they went to the Cuillins which are 'Bens' and as they were covered with snow OTL thought he could get a picture or two. Well, the mountains were grey and the snow was grey cos there was no sun shining and the clouds in the ske were grey. Not the most successful landscape photography he has undertaken!

One thing they did have was 'Seasons' in fact they had all of them in one hour, sun, wind and rain, rain, sleet and finally, snow!

Here comes the snow!
 Snow, and it's only March!
Followed by the sun!
there they were thinking of putting on the sun glasses when.............
Then it was rain.
There was a terrible rushing sound followed by.........

Finally the snow arrived!
You know, I reckon that being at home here in the warm, covered with a blanket and getting cuddles from TM could be better than exploring the Isle of Skye!

They have one more day up there then they are heading back on Friday so that mean I will have to let him have his bed space back again and Holly and I will get squashed together again!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Rain,Sun, Rain, Sun and more rain!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here again via SMS link with Old Two Legs!

Well, it seems we have all had the same weather today, sun shine followed by rain followed by sun shine then a bit of hail followed by rain!

Well, it's March isn't it?

Eric has been a pickle today, first of all he was let out of the cage and hunted down another 'Smoothie' from The Missus stock, then he was off and hid it under the sofa, thinking TM wouldn't see it but she saw him grab it and run off, so when he came out from under the sofa without the smoothie, well it didn't take a rocket scientist to work out where he had hidden it!

You know, since OTL has been away we have had to learn the art of speed weeing and pooing, it was never like this when OTL took us out!

OTL has stayed away from the booze today, seems he had a couple of slurps of the Japanese whisky and pronounced it as not being his sort of whisky! I think that Alun will be having the remainder of the stuff when the break is finished!

Today they have been looking foe Golden Eagles up the top of Skye but because of the rain the eagles would have stayed in bed instead of flying around hunting, so, no eagles!

The landscape was good, when you could see it through the rain and the mist and hail!

They stopped at Flora McDonalds grave to pay their respects then left as a coach load of tourists came crashing through the gate!

Noisy or wot!

Watch out Flora, here come the tourists!
Now you all know abut her helping Bonnie Prince Charlie to escape but did you know that over three thousand mouners came to her funeral?

Just after this the rain started again!
Tomorrow OTL and Alun will be off to look at the mountains called The Cuillins but Alun says that if OTL want to climb them, he is on his own!

As long as OTL doesn't get lost!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Soggy Soggy Skye!

Hello Woofers!

This is a very difficult way of doing my blog, I mean,I have to make loads of notes then send to Old Two Legs by the SMS telephone system and then he types up the news on the laptop he pinched from me!

Well, it has been raining today and both Holly and I have been having a race, who can do the biggest, quickest wee and a poo and get back to the house!

Today I won!

Because OTL is not around Eric has been a bit miserable cos he just loves playing chase with OTL and fighting his way out of plastic shopping bags, running up and over OTL's shoulder and then runs down his back and under the sofa!

The Missus is too busy cleaning the cage and changing the water!

Talking of water, did you know that the whisky in Scotland is called The Water of Life? well it does! Now, OTL is very fond of water and is always on the lookout for new or unusual 'water'!

Today, being very wet and rainy he decided to visit a distillary that may just have been in business long enough to sell whisky!

When he got there he found he was about a year too early!

So, he had a nose around the shop and found a whisky he had never seen before!

A Japanese whisky, blended and made in the same place as they make Saki!

As OTL says, 'you have got to try everything at least once before deciding if it is any good. That goes with food and all other stuff!

So.

Japanese, blended whisky!
He says that he and Alan will try it tonight after the fish 'n' chips!

Having made this purchase he felt that he should make things right and visit the oldest distillary on Skye and one of his most favourite places.

The place where the angels live!
OTL has always said that he wants to live with the angels cos they all get to have a slurp of the really good stuff before it's bottled!

Now tomorrow Alun and OTL will be off up to the top of Skye to see the rock formations and maybe even get a picture or two and then it's off to see Flora Mcdonalds grave, you know the one that starts of Fly Bonnie Boat like a bird on the wing etc.

OTL says he has visited the grave and has seen where visitors have pinched stones from around her headstone!

Naughty Naughty!

So, that's what has been happening today.

Lets hope tomorrow is drier than today!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Bye Bye OTL!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, Old Two Legs has gone now, he's heading off to Aluns place where he will spend the night and then they will be off around four thirty in the morning, just about the same time The Missus gets up as well!

Holly and I will still be in bed snoozing!

Still, that's a long way off, back to today.

This morning we were up at the normal time, but the sun was up just a little earlier than us!

I'm not sure when the clocks go forward but I think we need a little help to catch a sunrise!

OTL was fiddly diddlying with the controls and  hiding behind the tree trunk!

Nice bit of Fiddly Diddly!
Mind you, just turn around and the sun is lost and we see a bit of frost on the grass and a chilly bird on the top of the tree!

It looks like snow!
Mind you, as the day progressed it got warmer so by the lunch time walk it was positively balmy!

We found a Grain Rock on one of the benches and I think it may have been one of the rocks that Rosie painted. It was a long time ago but I seem to remember the design!

Long time no see!

This afternoon we helped OTL pack his socks ans stuff into his rucksack. Holly did suggest we try climbing in as well so we could go with him but after his socks had gone in it was getting a bit crowded so we left him to it and instead we had a fight over who would get his pillow tonight!

OK, must pack the lapptop away now, OTL is showing off and says he is late cleaning the car!

So, with a bit of luck I'll be back tomorrow, if not, then the day after!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric, de Ferret.

Sunshine and Woofing!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

We woke up this morning to some sun, you know, that big thing that hides behind the clouds!

It''s there somewhere!
We scrambled out of bed but missed seeing the sun crawl over the horizon, stil, Old Two Legs is getting good at this Fiddly Diddly with the camera controls and sometimes makes a good shot.

OK, so, this isn't one of them!
Just for a change we saw one of the Natural Gas Ships pulling out of the Medway after unloading its cargo.

I think the gas comes ready frozen from the Middle East and off loaded at the Grain Terminal then it gets thawed and injected into the gas system here in the UK.

Dunno why we import gas, Holly produces enough to keep the country going!
Of course, as soon as I said that, we got into conversation about gas supply and what rate we could charge, 'per Therm' or what ever it is supplied in!

Do you really think I could make money supplying gas?
The Daffodillies are still flowering although there are not as many as there were a while ago, we think it's the rabbits eating them!

They sniff funny so we are not sure who would eat them, Bunnie Wabbits?

Driving back home, we stopped to take a photo of the massive puddles there were at the side of the road. It must have rained during the night, not that we heard a thing, we were all fast asleep and we were all fast asleep and snoring, well, The Missus was snoring!

This must have made a terrible noise when it fell out of the sky!
We reckon the puddles were so big you could get ducks swimming in them!

Wot! No Ducks?

OTL has been diving about all over the place today, taking stuff to the carriers and then visiting customers, such a busy little lad he is!

Tomorrow we will be helping him to pack up his stuff cos he is off late afternoon to overnight at Aluns so they can make an early start, well, he says he will be on the road before five in the morning!

It's only TM who normally gets up that early!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Wot a Wet Day!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Wot a horrid day! It has been raining from before we got up and just hasn't stopped all day!

Old Two Legs has been studying the rain radar on the Internetty Thing looking for a 'Window of Opportunity' to get us out for a walk but the rain just kept on getting wetter and wetter!

Finally, Holly and couldn't wait any longer, so, we got dressed up and headed for the football field and after the quickest poo and a wee, we headed back home to a rub down with our doggy towels, then off to the office to curl up on the cushions for a well-earned snooze!

We have been helping OTL to get all the photography stuff ready for his trip to Isle of Skye with Alun. He will be off on Saturday afternoon and taking the laptop with him but we have worked out how we can get this blog up on the Internetty Thingy. What we need to do is to telephone OTL and tell him all about our day and what we have been doing and also what The Missus has been doing!

Then, OTL can type it all up and maybe with a photo or two of the Isle of Skye, (through the rain!)
and that way you can keep up with us!

So, that's it, sorted!

The only problem with that is if OTL and Alun get onto the local whisky and forget to leave the phone switched on!

Then they will be in deep poo!

Tomorrow looks like there may be some sunshine, so with a bit of luck we can head down to the beach for a run around!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
