Slippery Cows?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Well, he done it again! There we were thinking we would get an early run on the beach when  we were dragged back to the football field behind the houses where the frost was six feet deep!

I just hate frozen sniffs!
Needless to say, we didn't hang about and were soon back indoors cuddling the radiators!

Lunchtime it was completley different, the frost had gone but the wind got up and was blowing the sniffs around!

Holly catching a sniff from Sheerness on Sea, the last of the Kebab's!
You know that is always an interesting sniff from Sheerness, sometimes it's food and other times it's grease and oil!

Life is so interesting down here!

We had some fun searching out the s niffs in the grass and I must admit, we did have a roll or two when Old Two Legs wasn't looking!

Wait until he goes past then we'll have a roll!
OTL had a different lens on the camera today, it's the one he uses for photographing bugs and such but the wind was blowing so hard that all the bugs stayed hidden in the grass!

No bugs means he had to go back to flowers.

As we were walking along, he said Ooh, a Cowslip! Holly misheard him and thought he said that a cow had slipped over but when we looked we couldn't see any cows anywhere!

All the way back to the carr I was calling out 'Mind the Slippery Cow'!

Another Slippery Cow!
He did spot one Ladybird having a snooze on a leaf but that was it, even the flies were getting blown about!

A Six Spot Ladybird!
We took the long path through the woods Holly spotted a Grain Rock on the back of a bench, we weren't sure if it was an angel or a butterfly!

Well, it could be a butterfly!
The path back to the car was mostly grass and there were some daisy's waving in the breeze.

I like daisies, pretty, just like me!
See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Sunshine Today!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, wot a state of things, I mean, this morning we only got a walk around the football field for our morning wee and a poo! On top of that, it was frosty all over the grass and if you sat down it made your butt damp and cold!

Seems that we can only go out once a day for 'Exercise' or to get some shopping!

Lunchtime Old Two Legs took the small car and filled it up with petrol then off we went down to the seaside for a proper walk!

It was interesting to see the whole walk was void of any woofers!

High Tide but no woofers!
We got a run along the sand but OTL wouldn't let me into the water for a swim. Mind you, I didn't fancy going in anyway!

I might have a swim, if it was just a little bit warmer!
Even off the beach and behind the trees it was warm but there was still no woofers!

Just us, behind the camera!
OTL decided to have a search around on the plants looking for insects and bugs and creepy crawlies!

Holly and I decided to help him by searching for bugs he had missed!

Do you think he can photograph a sniff I've found?
There were a few fly's around chomping away on the pollen.

Chomp, Mmmm, Chomp, Ummm, Mumm!
We found some buds that had burst and the leaves were begining to sprout!

Who's going to be a big leaf then?
OTL found a Lady Bird basking in the sunshine.

If this carries on then soon I'll need some Factor 35!
There was one little plant that caught OTL's eye, so he took a photo. Only problem is, he doesn't know its name!

OTL says it could be a Cowslip!
Back home we found The Missus playing with her iPhone, making a movie of her making a card and she plans to upload it to her blog. Only problem is, the phone doesn't have enough memory to hold the movie!

Oh well, she will have to get rid of some of the photos she has on the memory card!

Another idea is she shouldn't gas on too much!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

The wind has dropped!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Hey! Wot? Look!

It's the Cat Woman again and she is chasing a Peacock Butterfly already! Yopu just can't trust these Cat People!

I noticed that The Missus has found a way to comment, you know it's enough that she is always telling Old Two Legs what to do and bossing him rotten!

Mind you, that picture of him with the pinny, that's a classic!

On our run this morning we noticed that the wind had dropped, it was still blowy but at least we managed to catch the sniffs!

Hey! This is one of yours!
You know it was so warm that a rabbit came out for a nibble of grass!

OK, we saw it, chased it and lost it in the bushes!
You know, OTL and I were stalking that rabbit but Holly just lost control and raced past us and of course, by the time we got going Holly was almost there and scared the rabbit off!

Another twenty seconds and I could have caught it!
One thing we noticed was the buds starting to grow. It won't be long before the leaves will be bursting out!

Getting bigger all the time!
Back home OTL did his morning job, cleaning the cage and he noticed that the ferrets were jumping out of their bed and crashing down onto the suspended blanket!

So, he had a fiddle with the beds, just to confuse the ferrets but they soon worked it all out and were dancing from bed to bed and shelf to shelf!

Lunchtime we were back down on the Sea Front again, the sun was shining and OTL had changed the lens on the camera to a 35mm Prime lens that he was using on the small camera. He reckons that it will produce better Bursting Bud pictures!

Unfortunatly, the wind had picked up and was rather unpleasant as it blew into our eyes!

Even OTL walked backwards along here!
As for the sniffs, they were gone with the wind!

Once we got into the woods the wind dropped and OTL was able to run off a couple of snaps!

A local fly sucking up the pollen!
As we got further along the path the branches stopped waving about and we could see just how much the buds were bursting!

These will be leaves before long.
After all that walking in the wind, it was good to have a snooze on the rug!

You just can't beat a snooze on the rug!
 See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

A busy day in the office!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here.

Another cold and windy day today, that wind was cutting through our coats and it was good that Old Two Legs had dressed us in our harness which was a good thing cos when you get the wind behind you it makes your eyes water!

These sniffs are hard to get in this wind!

Just like yesterday there were 'white horses' on the waves and even though it was a clear blue sky the wind dropped the temperature to a rather cold level we just didn't want to hang around!

No, we don't fancy a swim!
Once we got out of the wind it was quite pleasant and we had time to look at the blossom.

Spring is here, except that the windis still hanging about!
Now, we have seen several butterflies dancing about up in the trees but we couldn't identify them, until today when one landed on the path in front of us!

It's a Red Admiral!
You know it's a good sign when the butterflies come back.

Now, OTL has been thinking of getting the rowing machine out again cos he reckons that he needs to get some exercise to try to reduce the size of his tummy!

So, today he took apart the ferret cage that is not being used at the moment and made enough space for the rowing machine to be installed in the office.

Now, when he was using it before he didn’t notice any dramatic weight loss but said that he felt better taking exercise he wouldn't normally have done!

So, the cage was reduced down to its component parts, washed dried and moved to the shed and in its place the rowing machine arrived!

OTL pinched a pinny to keep the water off his large tummy and as soon as she saw it, Holly did a runner and refused to get anywhere near OTL in case she got washed again!

I mean, is he embarassing or wot?
Well, it has now all been done and I suppose that tomorrow we will be woken up by the sound of him rowing around the office again!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
