A New Use for an Old Whisky Jar!

Yo Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret back with you again!

Wot a super hot day it has been today!

The morning run was cooler but it was most enjoyable!

We started off by letting April stay in the ferret bag 'cos she had a bought of coughing which is a result of her heart condition. We haven't heard her cough for a few weeks now, ever since Old Two Legs had increased her diuretic dose by 2.5mg. She has been doing well but this mornings coughing went on for five minutes so the best place was sitting in OTL's hand, inside the bag, with her head poking out the top to see what was happening!

Down on the beach Holly and I got into a game of 'Dig & Whizz' and it wasn't long before May decided she wanted to join in the fun!

Come on Daisy Chops, my go!
We all had a go and I even started a new hole so we could all have a dig at the same time!

Trouble was, May wanted the hole I was digging, no matter what hole it was!

................and now it's my turn in this one!
Heading back up the grass path Holly and I stopped for a sniff and May nearly ran into the back of us!

She said we were hanging about too long over the sniffs!

Shift your tails, Ferret coming through!
Back home OTL cleaned the ferret cages out and when he finished he chanced a look out the window down to the pond and.......................................it was working!

The Whisky Jar was doing just what he planned it to do. A quick call to The Missus and the pair of them were in the garden looking at the new addition to the Pond Furniture!

Allow me to present............ The Stone Whisky Jar

Well, TM was very pleased and even sat outside in the garden listening to the tinkle of the water coming out of the jar and cascading into the pond.

She didn't stay too long 'cos the tinkling sound reminded her she wanted a wee!

Lunchtime it was twenty two degrees outside and both Fred and Wendy decided it was really too hot to do any digging and both blagged a lift back to the bench and from there they walked back to the car.

We got the holes to ourselves!
We were all glad to get back home and both Fred and Wendy almost collapsed into the water bowl for a swim!

It didn't take long for them to cool down and soon they had had a bite to eat and then off to have a well earned snooze!

Hey! What's this about Archie Babe getting another bed? Buying it for your Boy is just an excuse, you really need a fourth bed!

Another thing, Miss Sue, who or wot is this Piper? We haven't heard anything about Piper, is it anything to do with Bagpipes?

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

  1. Afternoon little maties by the sunny seaside. Wot a lovely day, mind, I've been staying inside in the shade for most of it, I have had a couple of walks but it is hot here. Wot a smashing job OTL made of that jar, I bet Mrs TM is very pleased even if the sound does make her want to do a wee. My mum went and had a look at beds first thing this morning but the man said my boy needs to go and have a lay down on one, do you think I should go as well, just to make sure it's comfy for both of us. Well you wouldn't believe how many frogs I ran into in the garden last night, cos it had rained they all got out of the little pond and started to dash across the garden to get under the shade of the shrubs. Shame I'm still on the lead in the garden but I did manage to make 3 of them jump. My boy is about half way home now so I'm looking forward to seeing him and going potty when he gets here. Happy muggings and I hope Miss April's cough is much better soon. Have a nice evening sitting by the pond listening to the tinkle of the jar. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and Mr Nipper xxxxxxxx

  2. To answer your last question first, Piper is a black fluffy baby poodle whose minders are Jean and Charles and I hear that you are going to get a visit from the three of them next week. He is very quiet so no teaching him bad manners, Charles is on a big boat at the moment so Jean has been doing all the caring and when it is hot Piper likes to lay on the tiled hearth. As yet he hasn't seen a beach so maybe you will give him a few pointers for his holidays.
When I saw the sunshine I thought of your jar and wondered if OTL had got the correct angle of attack, yippee although perhaps yipp, yipp is better! Hasn't it been lovely, sorry that Miss April has had her meds increased, I wondered if it was the heat that upset her? Archie seems to have all the frogs and a new bed to test drive, naturally he must give his seal of approval before any money is spent. Happy hole digging and swimming tomorrow and may the force be with your whiskey jar, good job, OTL. xxxxxx
