A Little Damp between the Ears!

Yo Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

It has been a sort of fun type relaxing pheasant hunting wet day today!

Well there you are, a whole day in one line!

We went out with Old Two Legs and the ferrets first thing and coming around the corner of the field there were hundreds of pheasants mooching about in the long grass!

That was it, as soon as we poked our noses around the corner they all flew straight up in the air making the loudest noise we have heard for a long time!

The soppy birds landed a bit further up the path and continued to poke around in the grass as if we weren't there!

Mind you, they did leave one bird behind to keep an eye on us!

On Guard Duty!
After a while this bird got all worried and flew off leaving another bird there to keep a watchful eye on us!

I've got my eye on you, you, you, you and you!
After a little while Freddy decided that sniffs were more interesting than food that kept running away and he followed Wendy into the field a little to hunt slower prey!

OTL spotted a couple of Comma butterflies dancing around the bramble bushes and when they landed he managed to get this shot.

Smile for the camera!

Back at the caravan we all watched the F1 Practise and then the Qualifying, rather an exciting run up to the race tomorrow!

As soon as that finished Holly and I woofed our tails off to go out for another walk but half way around the field we saw a dark thing heading our way!

Looks like it could be wet!
Unfortunately we got wet, all sort of soggy doggy wet and the ferrets didn't get away with it either, Eric and May also got wet tails but they sneaked into OTL's jacket and managed to stay out of the deluge!

Holly and I headed home as quickly as we could and got a rub down with the doggy towels before heading for the soft cushions!

All I need now is some dinner followed by a snooze before bed time!
Tomorrow, if the rain stops, we plan to go back to Kimmeridge Bay to hunt for some more Dinosorearses and maybe find some rock hard Dino Poo!

Then, if they allow woofers, we want to get a look at Corfe Castle which looks like it is about to fall down!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Evening little soggy maties. Sorry to hear you got caught out in the wet stuff, hope you didn't get cold. We've had a pretty good day here weatherwise but have had a few light showers this afternoon. Them peasants are silly birds ........ why don't they fly up into the trees? I don't blame Freddy for getting fed up trying to chase his brekkie. Loved the pictures today. Did Mrs TM get to wear her new wellies today? Hope you manage to get into Corfe Castle just mind out cos if it does fall down you don't want to get hit by falling stones. Enjoy the dinosoarse hunting, I don't think I should hope that you find one cos in the films I've seen on telly, they like to eat anything smaller than themselves. Don't roll in the dino poo either cos it will probably hurt being as how it's very hard. Have a lovely evening and paws crossed that the weather is better for you all tomorrow. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and Mr Nipper xxxxxxxxx

  2. A bit late with todays read as I have been out eating chicken balls, beef in worms and plawn quackers and very nice too. Thanks TM for her kind comment yesterday, I love reading your stories and try to get helpful with my comments! xx
So sorry to hear that you got wetted today but I bet it was worth it for all the attention you got, poor little woofers all soggy and forlorn looking. Our weather has been fine today so maybe your turn tomorrow, our neighbours who are in the Isle of Wight have had an on off sort of day dodging the showers with their dog Charlie. Has TM christened her super wellies yet or is she saving them for a rainy day (boom boom)? Those pheasants are silly but have their own guard so a no hope especially against a ferret on a lead. Lovely pictures, the butterflies are pretty and what a poor doggie so sad, needs feeding a nice treat!!!
Hope Corfe Castle likes you all then you can go and investigate it, nice there we stayed nearby when there before. Take care, off to bed now, I expect you are already purring away xxxxxx
