Saturday and we have almost caught up!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Saturday is with us and Old Two Legs is getting close to being up to date with all his stuff!

He always says that a two week holiday takes three weeks to sort out when you get back!

At least the paperwork is all done and now it is just the 'engineering' to do!

We got down to the beach this morning in time to see the mucky stuff sort of floating on the water, what we need is a good storm to beat it all up and wash it away down stream!

All this mucky stuff stops me having a swim!
May and Eric had fun digging on the beach but even they said they wouldn't go in for a swim!

OTL has got a new dishwasher arriving on Sunday, so, this morning he disconnected the old one and put it outside on the drive so the delivery people can take it away!

He had to pay for that but it would be disposed of properly and also he has got them to take away the packing as well!

There is one small problem, the delivery times start at seven in the morning!

Never mind, we will be there to make sure everything is done properly or they will get a good woofing!

Lunchtime Freddy and Wendy came out with us. Wendy just loves a good run on the beach and digging holes and hunting for mouses as well!

Freddy, on the other paw, much prefers a carry down to the beach, a quick roll, then he gets OTL to pick him up and gets 'carries' all the way back to the football field where he gets down and has a run across the football field!

On the way back we spotted a snail half way up the bush with the red leaves. Holly asked the snail why he was so far up the bush and hanging onto the leaf?

'Well' says the snail, ' I've heard that we got the back end of the bad weather from the U.S.A. and I'm making sure I'm above the water and on something that floats if the water gets any higher'!

Holly pointed out that the snail was in fact so twenty metres above sea level and if the water should get up to him, half of the South East will be floating away on the tide!

.....I don't care, I'm staying warm and dry!
We left him to it and headed home!

Holly was singing a song........I am Snailing, I am Snailing, Home again, across the sea!

She can be a right wag at times!

We are off now to investigate what is for dinner and whether or not we can get a nibble!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Evening little maties. Hope you managed to get some muggings today while TM was glue slapping and glittering. Did your new dishwasher arrive? Now I reckon salad doesn't make plates dirty and a quick lick should sort them out so maybe you could have saved by not getting a dishwasher while you're dieting. I only met one of my woofer mates today on my walk, Storm the german shepherd, but he doesn't have a german accent when he woofs. Glad to hear the mucky stuff is beginning to move off your beach. We've had a good lazy day today, we all watched the new star trek on the telly, my boy was a bit of a pain though, I got my place on the sofa first and he moaned cos he was uncomfortable, so my mum lifted me off and held me while my boy got comfie then she put me on the sofa, not really fair cos I was laying on the cushions and after he got comfie he had the cushions ...... I reckon it's not on when you get first dibs and bagsy the best spot and you're moved for a latecomer. Glad to hear that OTL is getting caught up with his work. Now, we've got a snail in our garden who looks just the same as that snail in the photo, I'm wondering if it's a relation who just moved away from the seaside a bit quicker than the one you saw. Glad to hear the ferrets are all enjoying their walks or in Freddie's case, carry. Hope you manage some decent muggings this evening, have a lovely evening. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and Mr Nipper xxxxxxxxx

  2. Glad the mucky stuff is leaving for Essex, you don't want it. Now I noticed that you said OTL is having a new dish washer and wondered is it because TM goes cooking this salad stuff while OTL has to do the washing up? Has the old one broken or does he need a bigger for all the lettuce plates, maybe tomato has its own plate while celery is shy and spring onion needs space to spring. This would account for needing a bigger one or is he taking in washing up to help the budget? Hope your diet hasn't been too drastic or you will fit in with the ferrets and he can hire out your cushion! Archie seems to be lacking in space and he is small anyway, poor Archie but he must have made the sofa warm for his boy. The snail picture was nice with the leaf and at least it didn't move too quick for the camera, I do hope he manages to keep dry. Hope TM had a nice day with her glueing and glittering and eating cake, it seems you didn't go to get a little mugging and I don't expect she would bring you any home because OTL would be upset and he is upset enough with buying a new dish washer and paying for the old one to be taken away. xxxxxx
