Hi Woofers!
Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back again!
My, how time just flies by, you know, it's already the second of January and we have hardly noticed it!
Mind you, this morning it wasn't raining, for a change, down on the sea front this morning there were loads of woofers and poor Old Two Legs missed a wonderful sunrise but when we got down to the beach it had all gone!
It seemed that every two steps there was another Two Legs wanting to say Happy New Year and talk about the ferrets, leaving Holly and I to sit on the wet grass and wait for them to finish gassing on about Christmas and the weather!
So, no photo's this morning!
Eric and May decided that staying wrapped up and warm in OTL's arms was the best place to be, except wrapped up in a warm bed back at home that is! Mind you, they did run back from the bench on the hill all the way to the car!
Lunchtime it was raining, so we hung about for a while until we spotted a window in the showers where we reckon we could get down to the beach, have a wee and get back to the car before it started to rain again!
It didn't quite work out that way and it started to rain again half way through the walk so OTL let Freddy and Wendy climb up for a cuddle on our way back to the car.
We were going to get the camera out but in the end decided that it was (a) Too Wet and (b) there was nothing interesting to photograph!
When we got to the football field both Freddy and Wendy got down and trotted across the field. Freddy was saying his tummy was getting too wet 'cos it was rubbing on the grass and Holly suggested he either loose some weight as a New Year Resolution or learn to run on his claws instead of his paws!
Freddy said that he might just jump on Holly's back, hang onto her harness and ride her all the way back to the car!
We got back to the car just before the rain started to come down with a vengeance!
Back home we found Auntie Jane and Uncle Ian had arrived with a Christmas Present for OTL, a bottle of Glenmorangie Single Malt!
OTL was a happy woofer!
He might open that tonight and see if it goes well with the Shortbread, it seems anything that has Malt and Whisky in the description goes well with Shortbread!
Se you all tomorrow!
Luv,
Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
Yo maties. I was out early this morning before the rain got up so I stayed dry, good thing cos if it rains then I won't go out! I went to see Brenda and get a cuddle and a treat, she said it was little Milly's birthday today and Milly is 3 years old. Now it's my birthday next week and I'll be 6 years old so I'm twice as old as Milly. That Freddy is getting well cheeky, he better watch out cos Holly chops might fancy a taste of ferret one of these days. OTL must have been a good boy last year to get another Xmas pressie. I hope he enjoys it. Shame it was too wet for photos but hopefully it might be nicer tomorrow although we've got a yellow weather warning for high winds here. Hope you all have a good evening, don't forget to mug OTL for a bit of his shortbread. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteHello there, yes a damp rainy day but I managed to stay dry this morning going to Hempstead with my friend and then this afternoon I was wanting to go to Morrisons, well not wanting but needing to and Michael said the rain would stop at 3pm so we went in the dry. OTL was very lucky to get a Christmas present already with 357 days to Christmas, his favourite as well, goes nicely with shortbread. We spent an extra £16 in our shopping after someone arrived on New Years Eve with their favourite tipple for us to try, Michael upset him a bit by asking for a little second helping! Anyway there on the shelf in Morrisons was Disaronno Originale, Italians favourite liqueur since 1525, I think the shop people must keep the bottles well dusted because there weren't any cobwebs like you see in wine vaults. Still unopened I might add but there in the cupboard alongside my Hock and the Bucks Fizz that I had forgotten about!
ReplyDeleteFreddy must get himself two pairs of stilts then his tummy will stay dry, good idea about him riding on Donkey Holly but she would need to kneel like the camels do to get on and off her back. What a pain hearing all about the ferrets again, all you need are leaflets to give out, job done. Our friends in Florida are expecting snow which should not actually settle but the temperature there is "cooler" than here and it is windy so it is a crazy world, take your sun screen out tomorrow just in case. xxxxxx
