Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and the birthday boy, Eric de Ferret!
Yes, it's Eric's birthday today! He is all of two years old! Normally we call the day a ferret arrives here as their birthday but with Eric we can identify the very day he was born!
Today the sun has sort of gone away, I mean, like it has been raining ever since we got up this morning!
All through the morning it got heavier and heavier until it got so bad that both Holly and I had to creep into Old Two Legs office and hide under the desk!
So many lightening strikes and big bangs of thunder and on top of that the rain came down in bucket loads!
One good thing, the ferrets got their early morning walk along the sea front although Miss May had to be picked up for a cuddle on the way back. Not all the way, just a little way until she got all twitchy and wanted a run across the football field!
The pond is now almost up to over filling and there is a Bloom come out on the Lilly Pad!

Holly decided to hang on for a bit! She is not the same as Archie Babe who doesn't mind a drop of rain while having a wee and a sniff all at the same time!
This afternoon Old Two Legs headed out to visit a customer who wanted to have some radios re programmed. It was one of those 'Panic Jobs' that crop up every so often!
Panic over Holly and I settled down to a snoozy cuddle under the desk!
Just for a laugh, we all got together and sang Eric our 'Happy Birthday' song, it went like this.........

It was rather difficult finding a word rhyming with Eric!
Lunchtime OTL found a 'Window' in the rain clouds and we managed to get a quick Wee and a Poo before he was off to work.
As it was Eric's birthday The Missus had left out her box of sponge balls called 'Smoothies' now, Eric just loves them and he thought it was one of his presents, so he kicked the box off the table, jumped down and ran off with several Smoothies and hid them in a cardboard tube he was given over the weekend!
It was after Eric had gone back to bed that TM found her stashed Smoothies and managed to hide them back in the box again!
We all reckoned that Eric will have them out again before long!

Yo maties. Happy birthday little Eric de ferret, happy birthday to you, did you do lots of poo, happy birthday dear Eric, happy birthday to yooooooooooooooo. Now Daisy, I can only go out in the rain to do a wee if there are froggies hopping round the garden, otherwise I have to cross my legs and wait until it stops. I don't blame Holly chops for hanging on. It was quite nice here this morning but just before lunch time the rain started, we had a bit of thunder and I think I counted 1 flash of lightening. Me and my mum decided it would be a good time to have a siesta. When we woke up I had my lunch then it started raining again so we had another little siesta the I woke up and had another scoff. Some of the roads here have been flooded, we're alright cos we live up a bit of a hill so the rain runs down. Hope Mrs TM was alright when she had her dingles stabbing. Hope she didn't bite whoever gave her the stabbing. That flower looks very pretty. Poor OTL, hope he didn't have to work too hard today, he should be allowed to have Eric's birthday off to help him celebrate, mind if Eric pinches Mrs TM's smoothies it might be his last birthday. My boy has just gone off to work, he's working nights this week so I'm on guard duty all week. Hope you all have a lovely evening, are you having a birthday party for Eric and is OTL sharing that cake with the picture of the ferret on it, it could count as Eric's birthday cake. ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Eric and how wonderful to have a present from the pond with a lily. Lots of rain and bangs and flashes today although it was only the rain that was close. There has been lots of flooding, Pattens Lane and the bottom of North Dane Way were very bad from what my friend found, I hope the ground water stayed away from you all. I did think of you and hoped that Holly wasn’t needing to swim. Stay warm tomorrow I hope this is going to post today without problem xxxxxx
