It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty Babe!
Another hot and sticky day today! Mind you, if you get up early enough it is rather pleasant down by the sea side.
Miss May has been opening her eye fully over the last couple of days and today Old Two Legs decided that she could join us on our morning stroll!
OK, I know it is a bit fuzzy but we think that the ulcer has damaged the corneal making it look misty, like a cataract.
Yeah! and the reflection of the sun as well! |
When we got to the beach there was loads of green seaweed stuff all over the place, loads of it everywhere!
It's not as though we have had a storm overnight, maybe some sort of seaweed bloom?
Anyway, OTL wouldn't let us go onto the beach, just in case!
It might give us Grumbly Tums that lead to Sore Bums! |
You can get some strange stuff washed up on the beach in hot weather! |
OK, the eye looks better and now I need a carry! |
Holly and I had fun on the Sea Wall while OTL was after the dragonflies again and today found a Green Darter!
We don't know it that is what it is called but it was the same as a Red Darter except it was green, not red!
It could be a Four Spot Greeny Darter! |
A Low Flying Holly Dog! |
We haven't spotted Monty cuddling up to Wendy, maybe it is too hot. We saw OTL put Monty into the cuddle cup first and when he settled down, he put Wendy in as well.
Now, she had a sniff and climbed in without trying to beat up Monty but as soon as Monty realised she was in with him, he shot out like his tail was on fire!
We think Monty has got to be a little braver!
See you all tomorrow!
Luv,
Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty.
Yo maties. I've had a busy day today guarding, I'm so sleepy now I could go to bed and stay there til tomorrow, this heat makes me even snoozier than usual. Glad to hear about May's eye and I hope it clears up properly for her. Maybe Monty didn't want to share the cuddle cup with Wendy cos she might get a bit of wind and if you're in a cup, it probably doesn't disperse very much...... just a thought cos I know that some ladies can get a bit windy sometimes. I don't like the look of all that green stuff on your beach, I'm not surprised OTL didn't want you to go down there, but, don't forget if you do get a sore butt you can always put some baby bum cream on it to soothe it. Mind, I don't like anyone going near my back door even if it is to soothe a sore butt!! Loved the pictures today, that little dragon fly chap looks quite cute, I wonder if I caught one if my mum would let me keep it as a pet. I've not seen any in our garden yet this year, we do usually get a few. I'm keeping my paws crossed that it is a bit cooler tomorrow, I find it hard to get in a comfie position that I can stay in at night and the sound of all the fans in our house make me think a helichopter is going to land on me. My groomer is home from her holiday and has given my mum an appointment for me for Wednesday, now I'm not right happy cos I only had a bath on Saturday, now who needs 2 baths in the same month??????? I don't reckon that you should need 2 baths in the same year. Right I'm off for a pre bed snooze. Have a lovely evening all. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteThat green stuff on the beach is definitely a no go zone, who knows what grumbles you might catch. Good news on the eye, let’s hope is gets even better so it doesn’t trouble Miss May at all. I see that TM has been busy making jelly, is she serving it with ice cream, I like jelly and ice cream with meringue and cream. The green darter or whatever it was is amazing, you are getting very knowledgable on wildlife, well done OTL for spotting them. We saw some dragon flies yesterday around Capstone Park but they were too quick and were gone before Michael could go snap snap. It looks fun running along the sea wall even if you can’t go into the water, the forecast is still will it or won’t it get cooler, will it or won’t it rain, well we must wait and see. You take care and Monty get a bit braver then he can cuddle up in the cool weather. xxxxxx
