We don't do wet!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Well, what a change today has been!

We went out early first thing this morning and there were drops of rain all over the car and windscreen!

Walking on the Sea Front wasn't too bad, just the occasional drip on the nose!

We were down early enough to see the last bit of the sunrise, we reckon soon we will be looking for those deep red sky's and dramatic clouds!

Not the best we have seen but it's a beginning!
Now, you can tell it has been raining 'cos the snails were climbing up the plants getting ready to climb above the impending floods!

Well, that's wot they said!

If I hang like this I can see the water climbing up the stalk!
Mind you, they were not the only ones trying to stay dry. We spotted this tiny moth hanging onto the stalk and trying to look inconspicuous!

We reckon this moth was about six millimetres long!
Then we saw some more snails hanging on to the bushes. Do you think they are a new breed of Tree Snail?

It could be a new species of Monkey Snail!
We got back home just in time, the rain has been falling all day. Around lunchtime we took one look at the pond being splashed with rain drops and decided we would not be going out! OTL had to go down the carriers on his own!

Archie Babe would have been proud of us, we both stayed on our beds and refused to take a step closer to the front door!

We might go out later this evening, just for a quick wander around the garden, providing it has stopped raining!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,
Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

  1. Don’t you have pretty snails down by the seaside I am so pleased OTL didn’t try doing his infrared thingy with them. Good for you putting your paws down and not going to the carriers in the rain, hope OTL managed to carry all the stuff without your help! I was going shopping to buy a few things but I am not desperate to get all damp so I decided to go tomorrow. We are hoping that the weekends kite festival is dry, do you think the Council will let us have our barbecue which we can’t because the ground is dry? Otherwise we must have fish and chips, Bill our barbecue man has two big paella pans, one filled with onions, tomatoes and peppers and the other with chops, sausages and steak, the wine, beer and salads won’t be the same with fish and chips. Just imagine how we will suffer on Saturday!!! The weather person said we will have a mixed bag of weather over the coming days, please ask Holly, she may be able to decipher what that means. Michael recons it could snow xxxxxx

  2. Yo maties. Well done Daisy and Holly for standing your ground and not getting wetted. It's been raining here today as well and I refused to go for a walk but I did do some popping into the garden in between the heavy showers. I'm glad I'm not a snail though, I don't think I would like to live outside in the wet even if I did have a little house on my back. We've not had a very nice day today, first of all there was no internetty or phone, my mum is still very itchy and thinks she might need to go see the doctor and get something for her allergic reation, then a filling fell out so she'll need to go to the dentist. The foxes have tried to get thru but they didn't, so my mum had to go out and reinforce part of the fence at the end where they tried to bulldoze it. All day long my mum has been trying to get information from sky about the internetty and the phone and now that they've finally fixed it they keep sending her text messages, well she knows it's working now .......... wot silly billies they are, well that's not quite wot she called them, I expect OTL and Mrs TM could guess cos they speak a few words of French sometimes don't they. Loved all the pictures again today, specially the one with you and Holly chops up by the picnic table, did you find any morsels there? I hope Mrs Sue can have her barbeque on Saturday, one of those pans sounds like it's filled with very yummy scoff, why don't you and Holly chops go. I hope you got some decent scoff today. Have a lovely evening all. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
