On our way back!

Hi McWoofers!

McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret, and Monty MacFerret Here!

We have had a super time up in the Highlands, we have observed several different types of rain.

There is the Dribbly Sort, that is the rain that runs down your neck and gets under your collar and gets cold as the wind blows.

Next there is the Misty Rain, that is the stuff given off by the low clouds as they come in off the mountains and make you wet all over. Normally a good shake gets rid of it but if you brush up under a bush or some Two Legs tries to stroke your back, it then goes right the way through to you skin and that gets cold again!

After that comes the Steady Rain, that's the stuff that comes down and soaks you to the skin, no messing about, it washes through any rain coat you may have on and travels all the way to your tummy and down your legs, not a very nice rain!

Another rain is the Blaster Rain, this rain is normally coming at you horizontally, it comes from the sides and the back but the worse one is from the front! It's the rain that you can follow a rain drop that smacks into your nose and because of the force of impact, runs up your muzzle, over your eyes, around your ears, down your spine and launches it's self from your tail with almost the same force as when it landed on your nose!

We especially don't like that rain!

Mind you, the best rain is the one that is down wind and running away from you leaving loads of sunshine!

Now, we love being up in the Highlands, loads of new sniffs and especially the sights. I mean, we have seen plastic Seals outside the Sea Life Centre but no real Seals inside. Then there are the 'Out of World visitors. If you look carefully, you will find them all over the place, even down south where we come from. However, we saw this tourist posing for a picture and Old Two Legs was ready with his camera!

How do I get a postcard back to Vulcan?

Can we send this by SMS or maybe WhatsApp?
You just never know what you are going to meet!

At the moment we are sitting in the caravan in Gretna, The Missus has wandered off to the Co-op to get some Doggy Scoff for us tonight, however, Holly and I know there is a Chinese around the corner, so Scoff will be the last on the menu!

Plawn Clackers and King Plawns Tonight!

We arrived in the pouring rain but since we have been here the sun has come out and it's dry every where!

Next is a trip to the Designer Centre, OTL will have a look for some new winter trousers while TM will be looking at the Craft Shop!

Tomorrow we will be off at seven in the morning, nice and early so we don't hit too much traffic , being a Monday and all that!

So, we will see you tomorrow night, providing of course we don't hit any traffic jams!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret, and Monty MacFerret!

Success!

Here we are!

McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret.

Well, after a couple of hours sitting in the car watching the parking attendant's walk past, we have finally found Wi-Fi!

Next is to find a fish and chip shop for some sausages and chips!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret.

A Fishy Day Today!

Helloooo McWoofers!

Us again, McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret.

We have been on an adventure today, a Sealife Centre!

Yes, loads of wrigly tnings with no legs!

We have passed this place many timme when we have been going out expoloring and today we decided to have a look at the place.

The signs said that there were Otters there, a sort of ferret who loves water and fish! Also there are Seals and loads of other sea creatures.

We got to the entrance only to see that the Otter, Lewis, had unfortunatly died of old age so the Otter Enclosure was closed, sorry!

Not to worry, there is plenty more to see!

We went looking for the seals but they were no where to be seen. It seems that the seals come in if they get rescued then they get fed and looked after until they are well enough to go back to the sea again.

The day we went all the seals had got better and had gone home, so, no seals!

There were loads of fishy type swimming around in circular water tanks, around and around and around and..........well it made us dizzy just looking at them!

Sort of Dizzy Fish!
There were sort of sharks and big flat fish the size of car tyres and wot Old Two Legs called Dog Fish but we renamed Woof Fish!

My name is Sharky, fancy a swim?
There were Rays, a sort of flat fish with a tail, but they didn't move that much, in fact they didn't move so much that Holly said they were made of plastic and were put in to make up the numbers!

We saw some orangy fish that OTL called Clown Fish, they didn't look much like clowns, mind you, I've never seen a clown!

A Clown Fishy Thing!
There was one very large tank that had a big flat fish called a Talbot, enormous it was and OTL said it could eat us up in one mouthful!

There was also some Red Squirrels in the trees, but 'cos there was so much rain pouring down, they were tucked up in their nests called a Dray!

So, we didn't see any squirrels!

Another sad thing was, the centre was closing down 'cos they couldn't make enough money from the visitors to keep the centre open. Now that's a shame 'cos where are the seals going to go if they get sick and need attention?

One good thing, while we were parked up in Oban, OTL found a Wi-Fi signal he could make contact with and gain Internetty Access!

Problem was, he didn't have the computer with us!

I can see he is planning a return trip to Oban, armed with enough change for the parking meter and with a bit of luck we can upload the blog!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret.

Wet and Wobbly just about sums us up!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret.

Guess wot?

Yes it's been raining, again!

Old Two Legs got thrown out of the caravan and then Holly and I got thrown out as well! I mean, it's OK for OTL to get thrown out but what have us poor little woofers done to deserve such treatment?

Well, it appears that it's because we didn't have a poo this morning, so, OTL was given orders, 'Take them out and De-Poo them!'

We got soaked to the skin and even OTL got soaked as well!

In fact we got so soaked that The Missus allowed us back in to dry off and she even let OTL in to change all his clothes!

Holly and I reallyforced ourselves and left little piles for OTL to pick up!

We're good like that!

As it looked like rain all day Holly and I decided that the best place in the caravan was under a nice warm blanket!

The afternoon was no better so we had a 'Relaxing Day' we snoozed and the TL's read their books they had brought, for a rainy day!

The ferrets didn't mind the rain, they stayed in doors and just rampaged around the caravan getting into trouble!

Eric was the last ferret out and spent most of the time finding his squeaky toys and lining them up in the shower!

Miss May is getting a bit 'Wobbly' and OTL says it's her age, we reckon she is five years old now and that is a good age for a ferret! Mind you, it doesn't stop Eric jumping on her and giving her neck a playful nip. She normally rolls over onto her back and grabs his ear in her teeth and gives that a nip! Then as he bounds off she heads for the Brambles Biscuits and the bowl of Lactose Free Milk and enjoys her breakfast while Eric gets back to his squeak's and his OCD!

If it stops raining tomorrow we plan to visit the Sea Life Centre where they care for the seals and otters an all the sea life that gets in trouble and needs a helping paw, providing the rain stops 'cos the whole place is in the open, no shelter, just pools of water with animals sloshing about!

Doggy Scoff tonight, so we will have to see what we can snaffle from OTL before resorting to the Doggy Scoff!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret.

Holly, get wet?

Hello Woofers!

It's McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret.

And not a Wi-Fi signal to be seen!

You know, it might be quicker to write the blog and then post it via Snail Mail to everyone!

Today has been fun, it started when we got thrown out by The Missus who wanted to 'Get On' with some ink and glitter sloshing, getting all ready for the next Master Class!

The ferrets were put to bed and after Old Two Legs had done all his chores like cleaning all the cages, then filling up all the water bottles and topping up the food bowls after which he had to empty the waste water container, replace it under the caravan and then fill up the fresh water tank plus leave one full water barrel ready for use later!

There were a few other chores but to carry on would make OTL look like a right Cinderella!

Holly and I demanded another walk along the foot path and over the bridge 'cos we both fancied another poo and a wee before setting off to see the country side!

With the car loaded up with camera gear we headed north to just see what we can see. It wasn't long until we came to the signs for the Corran Ferry, now we have been on this ferry many times when we spent our holiday on the Isle of Mull, so we knew it very well. If we cross the water, get off the ferry and turn left we would be going over roads we have travelled before, so, this time we turned right!

Now we have not travelled this road before and spent a lot of time with our heads out of the windows sniffing the sniffs and woofing at the Heeland Coos!

We stopped by the side of the loch and OTL found that he hadn't brought our harnesses or the lead!

So, we promised to be on our best behaviour and we both headed out to the beach and away from the road.

There were loads of little rivers on the beach and both Holly and I had fun jumping over the smaller ones.

Now, as you know, just like Archie Babe, Holly doesn't do water, so when we came to one little river OTL told us to go to the left 'cos he could see it was shallow, Holly, on the other paw says that she can see the bottom and it didn't look deep and anyway she had seen a duck paddling along it and the water only came half way up the duck!

Half Way up a Duck?
Them Ducks have got Long Legs!
You know, they have Cockle Men up here!

....and there is wormy men as well!
 Back to a wet Holly......

When OTL opened the car door and showed Holly the Doggy Towel, Holly was the first in!

She would do anything to get dry!

We went all the way up to the top and back again and when we got back to the caravan it was four in the afternoon!
That was it, snooze time!

Not sure what we are doing tomorrow but TM has mumbled something about throwing us out again, so it looks like there is another adventure heading our way!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret.

We got a ferret with OCD!

Hi Woofers!

Us again,McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret.

Today has been fun, sort of.

We headed off into Oban equiped with all the computer gubbins, power suppy and the inverter that changes 12v DC into 230v AC so we can use the computer power supply.

Oban wasn't so crowded as yesterday and Old Two Legs found a parking spot on the pier. The Missus headed off to WH Smith to buy a book while OTL settled down to access the Internetty Thingy via the 'Free' Wi-fi.

Trubble is, all this free stuff needed a password! The free site got us access to the system but wouldn't let us into the Internetty and all the other Wi-fi spots wanted a password!

We was not happy!

Even when we went to the ferry terminal where they have free wi-fi access we couldn't get a strong enough signal, unless we joined the queue to get on the ship!

Tesco was the same, unless you went inside there was no way to use their wi-fi!

That was it, in the end we gave up and decided to go back to the caravan!

On the way back we stopped at the forest for a little run around but to be honest, we are used to flat ground and the path through the forest was mostly straight up, or if you were coming back, straight down!

We had some showers of rain, not much but there was one where the rainbow looked like it was going to land on us but right at the last moment the sun went behind the cloud and the rainbow went 'Poof!' and disappeared!

The ferrets had a little run out on the grassy patch and of course the neighbours came running out to Ooo! and Arr! all over them! With the exception of Miss May, all the others wanted to do was to get back in the caravan for a game of chase!

We have found out that one ferret suffers from OCD!

Yep, it's Eric de Ferret.

When we get the rubber balls and toys out for them to play with, Eric insists on getting all the balls and placing them in a line in the bathroom and woe betide the ferret who upsets his perfectly aligned toys!

We have got Doggy Scoff tonight but some stuff OTL found in the local village shop, don't taste too bad, in fact it is almost edible!

See you tomorrow, or sooner if we can find a signal!

Luv,

McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret.

Still no Internetty Thingy!

A Day of Rat Holes!

Hi Woofers!

McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret back again!

Well now, it's been a funny old day today, Holly woke up with the Grumbly Tum this morning and was in need of an urgent poo!

As The Missus was the only one up she had to escort Holly to the grassy patch. It was raining and wet and soggy and TM was not happy 'cos it was a bit of a mess that TM had to clear up and back in the caravan Holly got the 'Washy Butt' treatment! Phew!

We decided to leave Holly in the caravan while Old Two Legs and I headed off to Oban to do some 'Uploading'!

If only life was that simple!

On the way we stopped off at the Nature Reserve for a quick wee and a poo, me that is, and then headed off to Oban.

Well, being a Saturday there was the world and its wife out shopping and of course there were no parking spaces anywhere. On top of that Old Two Legs decided he needed a wee! In the end we double parked and he dashed into the Two Legs Weeing Place and was out again before the Parking Attendant arrived!

Now, we had to find a place to park so we could use the 'Free Wi-fi' there was in town. In a narrow, dingy back street in the back of the town. OTL dug out a whole eighty pence to feed the parking meter and returned with a ticket that goes on the dashboard of the car.

He gets the laptop from the back of the car and turns it on ready to search for some free Wi-fi. Now there were loads of 'Free Wi-fi' available but the trouble was, they all needed passwords!

Just as we were starting to try a couple of the standard passwords, like, letmein or password or even the name of the hotel, when, accompanied by a bleeping sound, up flashes a window that says 'You only have six minutes battery life left, connect power supply!

Oh! Rat Holes! The power lead is back at the caravan and the 12v power lead that plugs into the car is at home in North Kent!

Now it's me that is showing off, all this way and no power in the computer!

Nothing more to do except to drop in the village shop and get some Doggy Scoff for dinner tonight!

Mind you, after lunch OTL took us out for a walk 'cos the rain had stopped and sun had come out, so, not all bad in the end.

Maybe tomorrow we can try again!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret.

A sort of Wet Day, for a change!

Hello Woofers!

McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret back again!

Well, today has been a day of two halves.

You see, after getting all the jobs done, Old Two Legs was told to 'Clear Off' and let The Missus get on 'Creating' with her bits of paper and stuff!

So, off we went across the bridge and on towards Fort William. We didn't get to Fort William 'cos it was twenty six miles away but we did get a couple of miles down the path! It wasn't too bad, well, until the rain started and we had to hide under the arches of a bridge until the rain eased off a little.

There's a bridge there!

It's still raining, sort of!
Mind you, we were still wet when we got back but at least we were allowed back in!

Now, tomorrow, OTL has plans to go back to Oban, pay fifty pence in the parking meter and up load all our holiday blogs to date. Well that's the plan!

The rest of today has been spent snoozing and reading, well, OTL has been reading, Holly and I have been snoozing 'cos we don't do reading much!

TM seems pleased with the glue sloshing so she is a happy puppy tonight!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret.

Still not Internetty!

Hi Woofers!

McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret here again!

Still no Internetty but OTL is working on a plan!

Well, the sun has come out and the wind has dropped and we've been out for a wee!

We finally shamed The Missus into taking us out for a wee, all the time it has been raining it suddenly became Old Two Legs 'Job' to look after us woofers!

So, as the rain had stopped and the sky was blue TM says she will take us out!

The grass is still wet, so, in we come with wet paws and tummies!

Us woofers that is, not The Missus, she just got wet boots!

TM decided she wanted to go into Oban for some 'Important Shopping' trubble is, we can't remember any Crafty Shops' in Oban!

We walked up and down the High Street and dropped into a Pet Shop to get another pair of harnesses for Holly and I. You see our super expensive harnesses with the handle on the back was soaking wet from our previous walk and our collars are not good for our throats as we try to pull ahead!

After getting the harnesses we got dragged off to a Craft Shop but it was selling stuff made by the local crafters rather than sell stuff to make the crafty stuff, if you know what I mean.

OTL sneaked off to the distillery and came back with a couple of bottles of 'The Water of Life'!
Now, being on holiday we expect there to be visitors from other countries but today we saw a visitor that we couldn't decide which planet he came from, never mind what country!

Holly thought it was a Klingon, I said he looked more like a Vulcan while OTL thought it was someone from Essex!

What ever he was he stood there while his mate took a picture and off they went!

You get some strange visitors up here in the Highlands!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret.

Ali Who?

It's now a Wet and Windy Wednesday and Ali has arrived in Port Appin!

McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret here!

Well, last night the rain came and washed the road dirt off the caravan! Then the wind 'Blow Dried' the caravan to make it ready for the rain to have another wash!

In the end we got so fed up it got a bit boring, so we went to sleep!

Old Two Legs wanted to see what sights there were around here so after the cage cleaning etc we set off down some very narrow roads!

It was amazing just how much had blown off the trees, you know, leaves, twigs, branches, trees!

Another tree falling to bits!
We ended up on the beach at Oban and decided to get out and have a run, well that was the first idea!

This is us GONE!
Out we jumped, just as a blast of wind arrived and blew us sideways!

OTL wandered along the Sea Wall only to be met by a great big wet and soggy Old English Sheep Dog!

I mean, it was horrid!

Holly and I headed back to the car and stood beside it waiting for the door to open, we 'aint going out in that weather or with that woofer around!

OTL found this narrow road that went all the way around a loch and half way around there was a car park attached to a Nature Reserve!

Well, that's what the sign said but it was just a load of trees to me!

Off we went and had a great time sniffing the sniffs, wee'ing and poo'ing our way around the woods!

One small problem, no Poo Bins, so OTL had to store the used poo bags in the back of the car!

After that we headed off again only to find half a tree in the road!

As wandered along this road we came across a load of Heifers all standing by the fence, looking our way and waving their tails. Of course, we stopped to say hello and found out that as the wind and rain was blowing from behind them, they were getting their backsides washed by the rain, you know, a sort of 'Horizontal Power Shower'!

I'll haveto get Holly to try that!
We stopped for lunch by the side of the Sea Loch as saw a lifeboat racing up and down the loch and it was being shadowed by a Coastguard pickup truck with its blue lights flashing!

They were obviously looking for something in the loch!

Whoosh!
We got back to the caravan to find The Missus all happy 'cos he had been sloshing the glue and glitter around and making as mess, as she does!

A peaceful evening with nibbles and snoozes and listening to the wind and rain!

OTL reckons it should have all passed us by in a couple of days, so we will be looking forward to some more walks in the forests!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret!

We're Here!

Hello Woofers!

It's Tuesday!

Guess who?

McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret!

Well, we are here in Port Appin at last!

The trip up to Gretna was a bit boring, loads of traffic and a couple of big hold ups on the motorway. The first was to do with some trucks and cars trying to play at bumpers! The second hold-up was due to the motorway being closed! Old Two Legs did some playing about with the SatNav and managed to get around the hold up but it involved going sown some very small roads and through some rather dodgy looking housing estates!

In the end we got through and landed in Gretna Green around Five Fifteen. Just in time to set up the caravan and head off to the chippy for some fish and chips and sausage and chips and sausages!

OTL, in his haste backed too far into the parking bay and managed to break the light lens on the caravan but with the help of some Gaffa Tape he covered the hole, made it waterproof and the light still works!

Another job for when he gets home!

It was about seven thirty we left Gretna and headed off to Port Appin. The road normally takes us along side of Lock Lomond but OTL hates going that route 'cos the road beside the loch is so narrow and the coaches just seem to fly along the road and OTL gets the wobbles cos he thinks they are trying to push him into the rocks beside the road! So, being a clever old stick, OTL heads of to Stirling, hangs a left and joins the road above Loch Lomond, all without getting shoved off the road!

We arrived in Port Appin around two thirty and set up the caravan. Well OTL did the setting up while The Missus just stood around telling him what to do and how to do it!

Who's in charge then?
Out in the loch there is a castle or fortified house called Castle Stalker, looks like a great place to live, surrounded with water and no neighbours!

Castle Stalker
OTL took us for a walk and found a super path by the side of the loch, loads of sniffs and we were allowed to have a paddle in the mud!

Watch out for the Squiggy Bits!
The path joined up to a bridge which crossed the stream. Holly got the wobbles crossing the bridge and it was only OTL telling her she was a big brave puppy that got her across. Mind you, going back was no problem, well, she had done it once!

We found a rather old bird hide that Holly and OTL can sit in to do some birdwatching later on.

Someone has wee'd here!
Tonight we are getting ready for this storm that is supposed to arrive tonight and carry on blowing all day tomorrow.

Should be fun!

OTL has already inspected the trees and he reckons there are none close enough to fall on us, so that's OK then!
By the way, we seem to have an Internetty Problem, TM can get a signal on her phone but OTL's phone and computer can't see any signals at all, so that means he will show me how to back up the blog then find a tea shop with free Wi-Fi where we can publish!

Right, dinner has arrived, so, bye for now!

Luv,

McDaisy, MacHolly, McMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret!

Monty just Loves Smoothies!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret, Monty de Ferret here!

Well, this is the last day before we head up North for two weeks of fun and mayhem!

Holly and I will be having the fun while the ferrets cause the Mayhem, 'cos they are good at that!

We started off by catching the sunrise, well, a little late but it made for a colourful sight, three coloured sunrise!

White, red and yellow!
All we needed was a rainbow and it would have been a picture to win a prize!

We only spotted one rabbit today, that was until we got in the car, as soon as we were in, out they came, dancing and chasing each other.

Given half a chance we would have shown them how to play chase!

Three on my side and four on yours!
Back home we ad some fun, well Eric did.

Now, you know Eric has a thing about the 'Smoothies' that The Missus uses with her crafting. He pinches them and hides them in all his 'Secret Spaces'!

Now, there's a never ending battle between TM and Eric, TM spends all her time trying to store the smoothies so Eric can't pinch them. Eric on the other paw, spends all his time trying to open the boxes, cupboard doors and plastic bags!

Today TM tried the bag and height to outwit Eric, how did he get on?

Have a look at the Smoothy Thief!

Now,  if ever you loose a Smoothie check for ferrets first!

Another thing, you have to understand that ferrets love cuddles, they cuddle OTL and if he is not around, they cuddle each other!

That's Miss Wendy on top and Monty underneath!
Out for our walk at lunchtime we ran into these four female Two Legs sitting on the Sea Wall. Little did they realise that Wendy was checking the bag for nibbles while Monty distracted their attention!

OK, back off, there's nothing in here to eat!
If it's not Smoothies, it's handbags!

Well, that's it for today, we are loading the caravan with the last bits and bobs.

Our first stop will be Gretna Green and with a bit of luck they will have Internety link on site, cross claws!

We know that there will be no Plawn Clackers 'cos the Chinese is closed on Mondays, however, the Chippy is open!

See you tomorrow and watch your Smoothies!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret, Monty de Ferret!

Cuddles with OTL!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Today we were up a good half an hour sooner than normal, there was a reason, today The Missus planed to go to Ally Pally for one of her Craft Fare thingy whatsits.

That means we have to be up early so we can get our morning walk before Old Two Legs has to take her to the express railway station to get the train into London.

OTL managed to get our walk done and even got one of the cages cleaned and all the bedding fluffed up!

Of course, being up so early we managed to catch the sun on the horizon.

We beat the sun today!
Little Eric was a bit put out that he had to get up so early, he stayed tucked up in the ferret bag and looking at the country side as we headed towards the beach!

I could have done with another thirty minutes this morning!
Back home, after delivering TM, the ferrets had a great time chasing all over the house. Miss May, who's is around five years old, was having a super time chasing Eric, jumping on him and the pair were rolling all over the carpet!

Lunchtime arrived and we got served Doggy Scoff which I tucked into straight away 'cos Holly got locked out of the kitchen. You see, I got this thing about everyone watching me. It's the same when I have a poo, I dive off into the long grass so no one can see me and it's the same when I'm eating, unless it is OTL standing guard, I tend to let everyone eat their meal before me. This causes a problem 'cos Holly Chops eats her food then raids my bowl, eating half of my grub!

Sorry, it's just one of those things, OK?

Monty was still complaining about the size of steps but today OTL helped both him and Wendy up and onto the grass.

I thought Holly was going to get this sorted!

Hey! This is better, at least we don't have to get the ladder out to get up here!
While the ferrets were enjoying the grass and sniffs I was resting on the Sea Wall looking at the tide which was miles away!

If the water was just a little closer I'd be in for a dip!
This afternoon we all had a cuddle on OTL's chair, we were snoozing while OTL was reading a book.

The F1 Racing was on but it was being recorded so we will watch it tonight with TM.

See you all tomorrow, our last day before we are off to see the Heland Coo's and Wild Haggis!

Bye for now.

Getting Closer!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Well, wot a busy day everyone had yesterday, there was Archie Babe's Mum having her teeth pulled, just so they can stick them back next week! Why don't they just leave them where they are? It would save all that pain and suffering and at no cost!

We just don't understand these Two Legs!

You know it's the same with Izzy's Mum, off she goes to the TL Vet and get screws and metal plates embedded into her spine and then gets told not to bend down! I mean, with all that lot and a bucket of Araldite there would be no way anyone could bend!

We just don't understand these Two Legs!

Then on top of that, Auntie Sue goes off on a Mystery Tour, I mean, just suppose you get to where the Mystery Bus drops you off and you don't know where you are, how are you going to get back again?

We just don't understand these Two Legs!

The sunrise here was a little dismal, in fact it didn't even rate a photo!

Instead he took one of Holly and I looking for Sock Monsters.

Aren't they supposed to live under beds?
Back home OTL was busy finishing off the paperwork and packing the last of our toys.

Lunchtime we headed off to the beach but the weather hadn't changed, so that means the ferrets were bothering OTL for a carry!

Finally they got down and went off hunting Nargles 'cos all the Sock Monsters were at home hiding under the bed, according to Auntie Sue that is!

Holly and I enjoyed a sniff of ozone and roting sea weed before heading off to the car.

How can anyone think of living in that stuff?
That's the problem with Holly Chops, she sometimes gets too philosophical!

I decided to have a game with OTL and when we got back to the football field, I just sat myself down to a super sniffy sniff and let everyone get into the car.

Then I sat there.

OTL jumped up and down, calling me and waving his arms about.

I sat there and turned my head the other way to him.

OTL started to wave his arms about vigorously and with purpose.

I sat there and wriggled my tail just to get a bit more sniff on it.

Next thing I see is OTL stamping his way across the field heading in my direction. I waited until he was about ten paces away, then I was up and ran all the way back to the car, jumped in and waited for OTL to shut the back door to the car.

You know, I don't get any thanks for helping him take some exercise to get his weight down, just abuse and threats!

It's a hard life being a woofer in this house!

Guess where I am?
We have been looking at The Misses FaceAche messages, just in case she has arranged a surprise box of Doggy Goodies for us to take on holiday, anyway, we saw that Auntie Chris and Caz are off to the hospital to get 'Sorted'! Loads of luck and kisses from us this end of the county!

OTL has been fussing about making sure we take my medicine and he is expecting a delivery of my pills today, all ready to take away with us. They had better arrive 'cos we don't want any 'Accidents' on the car seat!

All of us have been making lists of our 'Singing Songs' we will be singing as we head up the motorway and of course we will be blowing raspberries at the truckers as we pass them!

It's the only way to start the holiday!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

How big is a Ferret Step?

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

It's getting all exciting here as the holiday draws closer. Monty has been looking for his swimming costume and Eric has been checking his climbing gear 'cos he plans to do some Munro Bashing when we stop in Fort William!

Old Two Legs has been getting his toys together as well, first the camera stuff and next his 'Bird Watching' stuff like binoculars and telescope!

We reckon there will be loads of birds on the loch so OTL wants to get some pictures and see if he can spot any new birds!

This morning Holly woke us up early by woofing to get onto the bed, I mean, it's not as if it was difficult jumping up on the bed, all she had to do was miss landing on me!

Once up on the bed she headed for OTL's newly shaved head and gave his head a seriously good licking 'cos Holly says that there was a funny 'Taste' after OTL has a haircut!

Down on the beach the sun was up and poking through the clouds, the sunbeams looked quite pretty!

Now, that looks pretty!
Eric was in the ferret bag catching up on his sleep and of course he was asking if we were 'There Yet'!

.......are we?
As we turned to head for home, who should come bounding along the Sea Wall?

It was Bert!

Holly didn't see him until the last moment and made her jump!

Gissa anuver kiss?
Eric was out of the bag and half way up the grass path searching for Sock Monsters but all he could find was mousses poo!

How many feet does a Sock Monster have?
OTL had a bit of 'Manufacturing to do this morning, it's always the same every year, there is always the customer who leaves ordering until the very last minute!

Both Miss Wendy and Monty came out at lunchtime. The sun had come out and the grass was good and dry so no one got a wet tummy today!

I am going to write to the local Parish Council about getting some ferret sized steps!
Holly was sitting on the Sea Wall trying to calculate the size of a ferret step based only on her observations of leg length and the jumping capability of a ferret in reasonable health!

Well, I can start off with E = M C squared, then take away the first number, followed by the leg length and.......
By the time we got up to her she was only half way through the calculation when OTL called her and she forgot where she had got up to!

I suppose that she will be playing on the calculator tonight to finish her design for a ferret sized step!

Me? I reckon it would be easier if OTL picked the ferrets up whenever they got to the step!

See you tomorrow!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Old Two Legs is also Old Baldy!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

I don't know what it has been for you today but we haven't seen any sun, nor have we had a dry walk all day!

Today it has been a 'Soggy Day'!

I mean, when I got to the Sea Wall I could see my self in the reflection!

Hello Woofer, wot's your name?
We were glad when we got back home, a quick rub down with a Doggy Towel and a bowl of chicken soon made everything better!

We were lucky that lunchtime the rain slowed down and we didn't get so wet! Both Wendy and Monty stayed tucked up in Old Two Legs arms until we got down to the beach.

Wendy had a great time digging at the weeds that have grown out of the cracks, she says that Nargles hide under stuff like this!

They are here, I just know they are here!
One of the good things about going out with Wendy and Monty is that they don't hang about like wot we have to do with Eric!

Hurry up, he's behind us already!
Once back home OTL decided that he should have a hair cut before our holiday so he sat himself down with a mirror and the shaver and went zoom all over his head and around his chops!

I must say, he does look a little less 'Ragged' and getting rid of most of the grey hair makes it a little kinder on the eye!

His beard is now shaved right down to the skin while his hair feels like a bit of sandpaper!

As he says when he cuts our hair, 'If you don't like it, wait, it will grow again!'

This evening we are expecting him to get together the photographic gear he wants to take on holiday, including a tripod! That means he will be doing some night time shots or a load of 'Selfies'!

Now, we just love the idea of a Sock Monster, is it bigger than a Nargle? Does it wear the socks and just how many feet does it have to be able to wear all those missing socks!

Next you will be telling me there is a Verruca Gnome as well!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.
