Bye Bye Wellies!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here again!

We are now back to normal, Old Two Legs was up at six this morning! Though I must admit it wasn't all his own work. Miss Holly Chops, who was sleeping next to him had a sudden spasm in her back leg which made it shoot out suddenly and land in the middle of OTL's back!

Such was the force that OTL almost fell out of bed, but he was up at six!

It was pitch black outside and our walk was all in darkness. Not that it worried us cos we use our nose to sniff our way around the walk!

It's fun watching OTL navigate his way around just using his eyes, Holly and I can creep up on him and walk around the back of him without him seeing and watch him calling us while Holly and I are now ahead of him and sitting there waiting for him to turn back from calling us!

Now, OTL has been using his old wellies for some time and has discovered that they have holes in them, just where they have joins which means that when we are walking in the wet, OTL got soggy socks!

So, as reported earlier, a new pair of wellies were due for delivery today and as promised, they landed on the mat in time to take us out for our lunchtime walk!

These are the old wellies, the linings have been 'adjusted' by the ferrets who think it is great fun to use the wellies as temporary beds and the lining is a flap to keep the wind out!

Bye Bye Old Wellies!
Now, just look at these high class wellies! OTL has said that if the ferrets get into them for a snooze they will end up stuffed and mounted on the wall!

Well, it's a change from photos on the wall!

Bootifull!

 See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

It's Getting Closer!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Old Two Legs is getting better, well, better at getting up in the morning! This morning it was half past six when he rolled out of bed and we were down the beach before the sun got up!

There was a problem when we got to the car park, the battery was flat in the camera, so, all we had left was the camera!

Not bad and this was with the camera in the phone!
It wasn't too bad this morning, no wind but there was a ground frost, but even that wasn't too cold!

You know, I can almost feel Spring!
Back home the ferrets were having a great time rampaging around the house. Eric was having the time of his life bouncing around and chasing Wendy around the furniture and in and out of the cardboard tubes OTL puts on the ground for them to play.

Both Eric and Wendy have got their Winter Coats on but I must admit, Eric looks great in his fluffy coat!

Lunchtime it was back down the beach again but this time we went on the middle path and to be honest, I should have gone on the bottom path 'cos there were three big bouncy woofers charging around and while OTL said hello to them, I went down onto the bottom path and Holly stood her ground and gave them the Woofers Warning!

Yeah, not a bad sniff!
Now, we have asked The Missus to send another picture of us to Auntie Sue and she has promised to get another one printed and in the post as soon as possible.

Providing of course if she can find out how to turn the printer on!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

Sunday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here again!

You know, I love Sunday's, like today, we managed a whole hour and a half late in getting up!

Old Two Legs was staggering around looking half asleep on his way to the bathroom and walked into the bedroom door!

You know, I never knew a door could be called so many names!

We have been looking at the eMail in box and found a picture of Eric in mid rampage in our bedroom at Auntie Lisa's house where we stayed over Christmas!

OK, nuffin' under there|!
The ferrets had fun exploring the new room and under the duvet. The only problem was, they were not allowed down stairs so they had to put up with exploring the waste bins and trying to remove the inside of OTL's boots!

This mornings walk was late, as I said and in day light as well!

Just for a change it was rather mild. OTL was going to take the camera but when he looked, the battery was dead, so, he had to take the mobile phone that had a camera built in.

As we headed off to the beach he stopped the car and ran off a few shots of the sunrise above Grain!

OK, not the best but it's not black!
Lunchtime we were out again and when we got to the beach we found loads of fishermen teaching worms how to swim!

Wonder if there are any sarnies left!
Holly was a little put out 'cos there were no sandwiches to be found!

After sniffing every bait box we headed off to the forest and got woofed at by a Basset Hound who thought it funny to woof at OTL. That was until we both gave him the 'Warning Woof'!

OTL pointed out that all the leaves on the trees had gone and the worms had been busy pulling them into their holes ready for eating during the winter time!

Getting ready for Spring Time!
Now, what's all this about Archie Babes Boy feeling unwell? Been slurping too much giggle juice or maybe a Dodgy Kebab or, as OTL has experienced before, a Wobbly Plawn Clacker!

Still, it's good that he is feeling better and planning to go back to work again!

Now, what's this about Michael building HMS Belfast? Is that a jigsaw? Maybe one of those models? Will it float? Does it have a motor inside so you can sail it around the local boat pond?

More info please!

Did you hear about the Two Legs who loaded up the dishwasher and managed to drop her glasses in the cutlery basket and got them washed with a salt water finish!

Too much Giggle Juice?

See you all tomorrow!

A Very Relaxing Day!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Wot a super day we have had. I mean, we didn't get up until half seven, which is a whole hour and a half after our normal time!

Old Two Legs had a slurp of his favourite single malt and we reckon that 'relaxed' him and it lasted well into the morning!

Well, an hour and a half at least!

After coming back from our morning walk OTL discovered that his wellies have sprung a leak, actually more than one leak, more like six leaks!

We could see where the leaks were by the damp patches on his socks!

So, after the cage cleaning and all the other jobs, we sat down at the computer to search for an improved welly.

After looking all over the web we decided that a pair of green wellies with a side adjusting strap and a highland plaid lining will be ideal for OTL.

The pictures on the web page made the wellies look good and they were not 'Bargain Basement' priced. In fact OTL was weeping as he offered up his credit card!

Trouble with OTL, he is so emotional!

Where money is concerned!

Being a lazy day, OTL has been reading his book and being very 'relaxed'. Likewise, Holly and I have been taking it in turns to sit with him on the chair and have a snooze, between meals and nibbles and Chocy Bars!

We didn't get the Chocy Bars but we did get some doggy nibbles!

The Missus has been working on her designing stuff today, she says she has a meeting at the village hall next week and is working on some special stuff for the ladies and just for once, she will not be using glitter, gawd knows what she will be using, but it won't be glitter!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

We are Back!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

A very belated Merry Christmas to you all and thanks for the cards, good wishes and the presents!

We left home on Christmas Eve and travelled to a strange land North of the River Thames! Actually, we headed West on the M25 and then onto the M40 and got off near the end!

We had been invited to spend Christmas with Uncle Martin and Auntie Lisa and the family!

Now, Holly started her life with them before she came to live with us. We have visited and stayed with them before but it is always fun, and, they get squirrels in the garden!

Of course, Holly and I spent loads of time sitting at the window waiting for them and then rushed out woofing our tails off and chasing them until they jumped over the fence!

Great fun!

Christmas day was great fun, we opened our presents from everyone and while there were loads of clothes for the Two Legs and stuff like that, us woofers got loads of food and squeaky balls that we had great fun chasing when the TL's threw them for us!

The table before the food arrived!
Christmas dinner was great, Turkey and Beef all super juicy and tasting great! Holly even tried some Brussels Sprouts and spent the rest of the day suffering from 'Wind'! Well, she had wind and we all suffered from her, if you know wot I mean!

Ooops! Sorry about that, it was the Sprouts!
The ferrets got food treats and Eric got a Green Squeaky Ball which he spent ages  trying to hide in his cage!

We couldn't let him and Wendy out to rampage around the house 'cos they might have wandered out into the garden so they had fun chasing the ball and pigging out on the nibble treats!

Plus they slept a lot!

We came home on Boxing day and got home feeling a little tired after a fun time. It was good to get back to the sea side for a walk and a sniff. The sniffs Up North are just not the same as a good sea weedy sniff!

We got loads of nibbles and so have Old Two Legs and The Missus, trouble is, those nibbles are not good for us woofers!

So, we have been warned, if we are caught with our nose near the nibbles we are in trouble!

As if we would!

Today we have been having a lazy day and Holly has announced that she doesn't want any more sprouts!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Another Rock for Christmas!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here again!

We got woken up early this morning, you know, lights on and stomping up and down the stairs and banging doors and cupboards!

The Missus was off to the Tesco store to be there at six in the morning when it opens to the public.

It really was cheeky, having woken up the whole street she then says to Old Two Legs, 'You going back to sleep for a bit?'

I mean, that was just uncalled for!

Being up so early means the whole walk was in pitch black with just the aeroplanes circling around waiting to go into land at Heathrow!

Lunchtime was interesting, we found another Grain Rock sitting on the park bench.

Warm innit?
The sun was shining and there was a breeze blowing and this rock seemed to think it was mid summer instead of one day past the Winter Solstice!

OTL was considering removing it to a new home but decided that it looked just right where it was, looking out to sea and wondering when the tide was due in so he could go for a swim, or should that be a 'sink'?

You know, rocks don't float!

We kept our eyes open for some more but there was nothing to be seen, maybe they are all getting ready for Christmas Day when they will all be out dancing around on the benches!

We are off to count the presents under the tree to see if there are any more since last night!

Hey! We just heard that Izzy's pups are three today but three of them have got the Grumbly Tum!

All together now......One Two Ninty Seven!

Happy Birthday to you
Have you been sniffin' bad poo
Maybe it was stale Wee wee,
Happy Birthday to Yoooooo!

So, big licky kisses to Izzy, Tommy, Genie and Lady with the Grumbly Tums and  not forgetting Bella and Hamish who haven't got the Grumbly Tum!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly,
