Busy Busy Day!

Hello Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Well, we tried Archie Babes trick of moving the paw to prove we have been doing our guarding job.

It didn't work, you see, Holly Chops is a bit of a 'Mover' when it comes to sleeping and we had discussed this paw moving trick and Holly said she would try it first. So, on the hour she rolled over and stuck her back leg out straight with a bit of force.

It was then that we heard Old Two Legs shout out as though he was in pain, which he was, 'cos Holly had managed to stick her back claws straight into his ear!

OTL was not happy! Neither was I 'cos I was forced to go out on the rounds while Holly stayed in bed saying that her claw was bruised and she couldn't walk properly!

It was dark this morning and just a little chilly, the Weather Man says it will get colder as we get nearer to the weekend, nearer? The weekend is tomorrow!

The Missus is off tomorrow to the village hall for a bit of glue slapping so we may have a relaxing day watching TV and nibbling on treats!

OTL has been busy and had some boxes to dispatch at lunchtime so we went along with him, just to woof at the carrier man!

Eric came with us but he stayed in the bag when we were walking along the sea shore he even refused to move when OTL put him down on the concrete!

I'm not moving at all, it is just too cold for any sort of moving about!
It was just the same when we got to the football field, OTL found a Mole Hill that had some fresh earth where the mole had been busy but Eric even turned his nose up at a Mole Hill, he just wanted to get back into the bag again!

I just don't do Mole Hills in this weather!
Now, as you know, Eric and Wendy have been booked into be stabbed on Monday, well, OTL made a booking for Miss May as she seems a little off colour. OTL has been studying her and her actions and thinks she could be troubled with Insulinoma which is a sort of reverse of Diabetes and is common in ferrets of her age. With diabetes you don't produce enough insulin but with Insulinoma you produce too much!

I don't think it can be cured but there are pills she can take each day to keep it under control, providing of course if OTL's diagnosis is correct!

We'll find out on Monday!

Have yourselves a good weekend!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

  1. OTL will be able to set himself as a Pet Advisor as well as Doggie Groomer, think of all the pounds that will roll in and what with Holly and her super powers on the Internet you will be quids in sunning yourselves on the Riveria. Maybe the ferrets won’t be allowed to go with you though ☹️ 😔 😞. Is Eric loosing his attraction to molehills now the weather has turned colder, the moles seem to be as industrious as ever. Hope TM has a stupendous day tomorrow with all her lovely projects, looking forward to seeing the results. I have been for a walk to keep up my steps on my thingy, we rang Margaret last night at 8-45 pm for her to come out with us, that way I reached my goal as sitting down I was low on steps. Today I went out with Margaret to the chemist and was over my goal before we got back. I only have 3000 steps as my target as I don’t want to overdo things. Keep warm xxxxxx

  2. Yo maties. Look Daisy, you'll have to tell Holly chops that she only has to move her paw a little bit, not enough to disturb OTL or Mrs TM, it's just so that when they open their eyes, it looks like she moved during the night, putting her paw in OTL's ear isn't really much good cos then he'll know she's only stretched her paw and not moved and done a patrol. Anyways, it's your turn tonight to stay snoozing and Holly will have to do the patrols. I'll keep my paws crossed that the vet can give some tablets to Miss May to help her and make her more comfie. I really don't blame Eric for wanting to stay in a nice warm bag instead of walking on the cold ground, them moles aren't daft, the big fresh piles are from where they're digging down deeper to keep warmer, I reckon. Now, I've been in the doghouse today and my mum is a bit miffed with me. You see I went in the garden to do a wee and there was a big bread roll sitting, waiting for a woofer to come along and snaffle it up, so me being the sort of chap I am, I went to snaffle it, well, my mum chased me all round the garden, then I made a move wot I think wasn't the best move, I ran indoors, so she trapped me. Do you know she tried to get the roll out of my jaws, well we had a tug of war and we both ended up with half a roll, I quickly swallowed the bit I managed to hang on to and my mum binned the bit she managed to hang on to. She says if I get a grumbly tum she's going to be cross with me and I'm not getting any treats for the rest of the day .......... don't you think that's a bit heartless and taking things a bit too far? Hope Mrs TM enjoys her glue slapping tomorrow and hope the rest of you enjoy putting your paws up and having a nice relaxing day. Good on Mrs Sue for doing her steps, mind in this cold weather I think I'd rather do my steps indoors. Hope you all have a good evening and stay warm and cosy. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
