Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!
You know, Saturday in our kennel is always 'Relaxing', well, let's say that we don't really exert ourselves too much. During the week we are always ready to help Old Two Legs with all the stuff he has to do and then of course there is the guarding, Archie Babe will know all about that and we also have to keep the ferrets in line as well!
Saturday starts off like any other day except we normally get up half an hour later than normal and as the days are getting longer, there is always the chance of a sunrise.
OK, not the full blown sun beams and red sky! |
We don't have those silly LED lights around our collars but if there is a tiddly bit of light, it gets reflected off our harnesses, just like this!
Is this wot they call 'Shoulder Flashes?' |
First thing was the Ferret cleaning. So, being understanding woofers, Holly and I left OTL to it while we snoozed on the bed and generally relaxed!
Miss May was well up for a game with Eric and soon told him where to get off!
Monty and Wendy were in the same mood for a game and spent time chasing each other through the cardboard tubes and behind all the furniture!
Lunchtime we woke up just in time to catch the late lunchtime wall and rabbit chase. We always like chasing the rabbits around the gorse bushes and if Holly manages to chase them around the back of the bush and I chase them around the front, the rabbits end up not knowing which way they should run!
You know there are times when OTL gets involved in the chase as well when the rabbits nearly run him over!
Come on OTL, you gotta be quicker than that! |
I reckon it won't be long before OTL digs his gloves out! You know he hasn't got them out at all since last year!
OK, we are off for some chicken, so bye bye for now.
Luv,
Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.
Yo maties. It seems like a very busy kennel at yours today. Yep this guarding lark does make a woofer feel snoozy. I had a walk up the shop today and I had a cuddle with Brenda cos she's back at work, honestly, she was very ill last weekend, in hospital even and now she's back at work, I did miss her when she was off though. I was all wrapped up in my fleece cos it was nearly arctic conditions, that wind would cut right through you. Did you manage to watch the DVD, did you watch it from the end to the middle? I hope you managed to see the bit you all snoozed thru. I'm off to my bed soon cos I'll be up very early guarding tomorrow, now I wonder if I'll see this eclipse wot everyone's on about on Monday. How many bunnies did you manage to chase today? I chased a few sqirrels out of my garden today, cheeky things want to bury their stuff in my garden, without paying any rent .......... wot a cheek. I'm keeping my paws crossed we don't have any snow. I bet the ferrets are glad they don't have to go out for a walk or a wee or a poo. Have a good evening all, enjoy your chicken, stay warm. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteNow first of all stop this mention of snow, it looks very nice out of the window when it is all freshly laid but then that is that, we can’t go out, the shops get raided by those who can walk to them, the schools shut and big TLs moan about the mini TLs being at home. Rage over.
ReplyDeleteThe shoulder flashes look good in the half light, very imposing, almost like a guards uniform, Archie must get himself one. It looks like Miss May is doing well with the medication, bless her, young Eric has his paws full. All this running around through tubes and around furniture sounds fun, I wonder if they still have a delve into the ping pong balls, more fun as well.
Nice to see the sun getting up, Michael has a new app. that shows exactly where the sun will rise and set but today we didn’t get any that we could see so he was disappointed, have to 2ait for another day. We are off to see Daisy Girl tomorrow and give her mum the Christmas present that was ordered in the middle of December, still better late than never is what they say! Looking forward to hearing about the Village Glueslappers, I hope TM bought home some cake. xxxxxx
