Miss May should be Gold Plated!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Poor Old Two Legs is having trouble standing on his paws, we have been to the vet today!

Now OTL does like to look after us with regard to worming tablets and anti flea and anti tick stuff.

He also looks after us when we are not very well.

Today has been one of those days when only Monty and I managed to stay out of the vets clutches!

It started off with Holly being too fat, let's face it, she is just too big for her skin and she was just over eleven kilogrammes the last time she climbed onto the scales.

Holly has been on a 'Restrictiion Diet' like, no choccy biscuits or nibbles from the plate or helping me finish off my dinner!

Nor is she allowed too many chews and anything that could be fattening!

Poor Holly has not been a happy puppy.

Today she climbed onto the scales and she was ten point eight kilogrammes!

Well done Holly, target is ten kilogrammes!

Next it was Miss Wendy and Eric's turn to get stabbed by the vet to stop them getting distemper and stuff like that. Both ferrets were so brave, they licked on their Ferretone whilst being stabbed and didn't make a fuss at all!

Brave ferrets!

Last of all it was Miss May. OTL has been worried about her, she has just not been herself and OTL reckons she could have Insulinoma, a common ferret condition. Miss May was kept in the vets for a couple of hours so that a blood sample could be taken and sent off to the specialist for examination. May didn't like the idea of getting stabbed so the vet had to give her a whiff of gas to knock her out while a gallon of the red stuff was drained from her!

Well, May said it felt like a gallon anyway!

So, while the sample is sent off she has got some Prednicare tablets she must take every morning.

It has been suggested that May gives up the Ferretone and the Brambles Biscuits and the Lactose Free Milk!  Miss May is not a happy ferret!

One good thing, after she woke up from the gas she was offered some cat food and she ate it! So, tomorrow OTL is going to get a tin of cat food to see if she will eat that as a treat!

Finally they presented OTL with the bill.

You know, it's a good thing that OTL gets free treatment from the NHS.

They reckon he will be out soon and his wallet is responding to electric shock treatment!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

  1. Yo maties. Well wot a brave girl Miss May is, I hope she managed to get a little nip of the vet wot stole her blood and then told OTL she couldn't have any of her favourite treats. Well done Holly chops on your weight loss, you'll soon reach your target then you'll be able to have some treats again, now wots wrong with these vets wot say us 4 paws can't have our favourite things to eat ........ it's not on, it's not fair, they should be struck off. I'm on the same tablets as Miss May and they make me feel very well so I hope they have the same effect on her, mind, they still don't make me like the cold or the wet so apart from that, she should find them ok. I've got to go to the groomers on Thursday, my mum says it's my birthday treat and everyone should have a bath on their birthday but as a special treat, I can have my bath the day after my birthday so it don't spoil the day. I better be getting some nice presents and I want them in a nice gift bag, and my nice gift bag better not get stolen like my Xmas gift bag did or I'll sulk and I won't speak to my mum for a week. My mum went to the TL vet today, she didn't get a bill even though she got some stuff for her hands cos the skin is coming off again and they're all blistered and sore and then she's got to go back on Friday for another freebie, she's getting stabbed against new monia ....... now I don't know about this new monia, but I do know she's an old monia .......... but anyways, you know my mum, if it's free she'll have one. I hope OTL's wallet makes a swift recovery and that OTL isn't in too much shock, shall I pinch a bit of my mums card and make them both a get well card? Hope Miss May is over the shock of being left in clink then mugged for her blood. Hope you all have a lovely evening with a nice snackette, my mum will hunt out some low calorie treats and send some for Holly chops, she buys them for me on account of I have to watch my weight, well I do, I watch it go up and down and round and round ....... I'd sooner be watching treats go in my bowl though. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. You have had a lucky escape there Daisy, you and Monty, well done, carry on eating as normal. I hope OTLs wallet gets better soon, he doesn’t seem to look after it very well, always lettting it leak money. Poor Miss May with bein mugged for some blood then being denied all her special things, the Ferretone, Brambles biscuits and the milk. Soon be Archies birthday followed by the washing of his birthday suit, I hope it doesn’t shrink then he will be on a diet as well as Holly. I don’t think this new monia is anything to do with moaning but I may be wrong there must be an old monia somewhere. Back to all my usual things now that the celebrations are over, off to Craft tomorrow with my knitting. Nearly midnight, off to bed xxxxxx

  3. Oh dear . . . poor OTL's wallet . . . thank goodness it didn't flat-line completely - lucky escape! VETS is a terrible disease, and people TL's with animal friends seem to get it far too regularly and in quite severe doses! Hope OTL's VETS disease and his wallet make a good recovery soon! I'm quite surprised to hear that the wallet didn't do a "fear fart"!

As for the rest of you . . . well, keep up the good work Holly; good luck on your new diet & tablets Miss May, and hope all the jabbed critters feel fine afterwards too. You and Monty must look after yourselves to keep on escaping the VET!

    Hugs to all xxxx
