Snow!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

Well, it's the day after his birthday and he has been taking it 'easy'. Honest, it had nothing to do with the champagne or the malt whisky he  managed to consume last night.

Well, that's what he said!

It seems that The Missus mentioned it on FaceAche and got about a hundred comments and 'Happy Birthday's when she told the tale of the birthday card where the ink was still wet!

No wonder she got up early yesterday!

Today it was a little later than normal but let's face it, Old Two Legs has long ago stopped having to 'clock in' and nowadays starts and stops when he feels like it!

It was rather cold and cloudy first thing and believe or not, we had snow for about ten minutes!

Snow, this early!

Mind you, by the time we got out again at lunchtime, it was all clear blue sky and sunshine and a rather chilly wind!

It's a long way up!
When we got to the top there was a rather cold wind blowing, so, we didn't hear OTL call us when he went off exploring the whacking great moat that had been dug when they first built the gun emplacements.

Is that him down there?
We have never been down into the big hole, it looks too deep and too dangerous, just imaging all the Nargles living down there!

It may be blowy but we'll stay on top!
We came down off the top and managed to get a run along the beach before OTL spotted us!

Race you to the steps!
Back home we all settled down to watch a DVD, one of OTL's birthday presents and of course OTL fell asleep half way through and had to be woken up by me licking his ear.

Only 'cos he was snoring!

Thank you all for the good wishes to OTL and the Birthday Songs!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

  1. wotcha maties. Well I reckon anyone wots 10,072 deserves a lay in. Me and my mum had a lay in as well this morning, in fact, I wanted to lay in longer. Glad to hear OTL had a good evening yesterday with his champagne and malt. We didn't get any snow today, thank goodness but it has been really cold and there was ice on the puddles. I decided I would go for a quick walk up the shop and I wore my fleece cos it was so chilly. There was a very cold breeze. Loved the pictures today. I bet there was lots of nargles down the bottom of that moat. Now you would have thought Mrs TM would have given the card a blast with her heat gun to dry the ink, still at least OTL knows it was a new card and not last years one. I'm off to snuggle in my bed soon cos I'm on guard duty first thing tomorrow, if it's still cold and there's any sign of snow, I might stay in my pit all day cos I really don't do COLD. Have a lovely evening all, hope there are some muggings. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. Good ol' OTL . . . glad he enjoyed his birthday. Was flipping freezing down here too, but no snow so far.
I'd make like a ferret & stay warm & cosy indoors if I were you! Xxx

  3. The reason I am late is because I went out before you published and have not long been home, well long enough for tea, toast and Boursin cheese. Lovely a later start won’t hurt and no clocking on to do so why worry, I do love those red coats they sparkle in the sunshine and I love todays pictures. That little bit of snow was a surprise, Michael thought it was next doors tall plant shedding all its bits over our garden until he realised it was the dreaded snow, so glad it stopped as soon as it started. The champagne and malt sounds good I hope you got a few treats as well, you must take greater care of him now he is in his 10,073rd year. xxxxxx
