Miss May has been out on a gallop today!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret back again!

Wasn't it cold this morning? We got up at our normal time and got down to the sea shore just as the sun was creeping up over the horizon.

One of the good things about catching the sun so early is that you could see sun spots, if there were any to see!

It looks quite tasty!
It is amazing just how things change over a few minutes!

.....and now it's warming up the sea!
The last bit of sunshine crept over the hill just before the sunrise disappeared and the frost was plain to see!

The last bit of the sunrise!
We headed back home to enjoy our morning snooze while the ferrets enjoyed a rampage around the house!

Don't sit down on the frost 'cos it'll freeze your butt!
By the time lunchtime arrived the sun was up and the frost had gone. Miss May said she fancied a run so both Eric and may climbed into the ferret travel cage!

Eric was a little lazy and tried to spend time in the bag watching the world go by.

Miss May was so pleased to be out that she spent almost all the time on the ground rolling on the grass and at one point she was in a mole hole having a great time digging the soil out of the hole!

I just love a roll in the grass!
Getting in the hole was no problem but getting out was a struggle!

That was a bit of a struggle!
Eric, seeing what fun May was having, he was soon on the ground and heading towards the hole!

This soil is good and diggable!
May was enjoying herself and spent almost all of the walk around the sea shore, sniffing and snuffling amongst the grass.

Once we got back home they both headed for the cuddle cup for a cuddle and a snooze!

Holly has said that we will be getting some cold weather by the weekend, so I don't suppose that the ferrets will be out if it's cold!

I do hope it's not too cold, we are just getting used to this warm weather!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

  1. Yo maties. It was very chilly here first thing this morning and we had frost here as well. I waited until it warmed up a bit before I went out for my walk cos I'm not that fond of cold or frost. Glad to hear that Miss May had a good time out today, that Eric sounds like he's getting a bit of a lazybones. Don't think I would have gone down the mole hole just in case the mole was at home. I had a super siesta with my mum today, I had to wake her up and tell her it was time for my scoff. My boy is home late this evening so I might just have a nice snuggle up with my mum until he gets here then I can have a nice wrestle with him. I sent my mum out to cut the grass today, I reckon it was time for it to have it's first groom of the year. Hope there was some of that chicken left for your scoff today. Loved the pictures. Have a lovely evening and stay warm and cosy. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. Fab sun pictures today. Very pretty & one misty/moody too. Super (pea souper!)

I had to scrape ice off my windscreen first thing this morning, then later on didn't need my coat at lunchtime it was so warm! Funny old weather. Rain due tomorrow!

Looks like everyone enjoyed their outings today.

    Night all xxx

  3. Lovely sun rise pictures and how quickly things change when it gets out of bed. We only had a little bit of frost not enough to clean windscreens off and it was warm when I was out this afternoon. How wonderful to see Miss May digging in that mole hole, the soil was soft so she could really ferret around. I think if Eric hadn’t had his harness on he would have gone all the way in and surprised those moles. Probably surprised Eric as well. Bad news the weather is supposed to be February weather with rain and cold, we are going to Appledore in the motorhome Saturday and Sunday and possibly Monday if we want to, just a case of paying some pennies to “The Lady” at the site. Never mind we are taking beef stew and soup with us, I will leave the lettuce in the shop. Do your best to keep warm and dry, give TM a help with the packing and get OTL to count the ferrets! xxxxxx
