It's Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here again!
The weather looks like it will be all bright and sunny over the weekend so we are expecting to get out for good run all over the place, with the ferrets if everything goes well!
It was such a nice morning that Old Two Legs took Wendy out for a morning walk instead of Eric, Eric was not happy about that!

While he was there he said hello to some of the ferrets awaiting new homes.
He was very good, he said that he planned to get Eric and Wendy together in the same cage without any fighting!
Roy suggested a bowl with some Ferretone Oil in the bottom and to slosh some over the backs of their necks before putting them together.
Well, today we tried it, to start off with, it seemed to go well, both Eric and Wendy had their noses in the bowl slurping away at the oil and then started licking each others neck.
Things looked good, well, until the oil had gone and the back of their necks were almost dry.
Then with a big scream Wendy launched herself at Eric who was bowled over backwards wondering where this ball of fury had come from!
Eric did what most male ferrets do when attacked like that, he showed her his butt, so she tried to bite it!
At that point OTL stepped in and separated them and they broke off and ran away.
So, while OTL was cage cleaning there were minor scraps and screams amongst the toys and chasing all through the house!
After cleaning the cages both ferrets came into the office, climbed into each others cage and set about wrecking each others bed clothes. Blankets went up in the air, cuddle cups were thrown around and to finish off, they both did a poo in the bottom cage!
By the time all this had happened, both ferrets were a little snoozy and headed for bed. Wendy got into her bedding and Eric tried to get in with her!
That's when the fight started!
Once again OTL separated them and both got into separate beds, this seemed to work, for a couple of minutes. Miss Wendy decided that she wanted to get into her bed that Eric was occupying and as before...........it was then that the fight started!

So, all today OTL has been in the office watching both ferrets and making sure there were no more fights, well, OK, there were one or two spats but nothing too violent!
Today OTL reckons it has gone very well and with a bit of luck by the time we go on holiday the pair of them will be all cuddled up and using just the one cage!

Yo maties. Well now, I don't know wot to say but if someone shoved their butt in my face I think I'd have a nibble on it too. I mean, it's a bit rude to shove yer butt in someone face innit. I hope they do manage to get on without too much fighting. Maybe if you whisper to Eric that mooning a lady isn't the way she likes to be dazzled by a chap it might help a bit. I reckon you and Holly chops need to have a word with Wendy as well and tell her that screaming at a chap isn't the best way to get him to do wot she wants. I was wondering if it was worth writing to one of these agony aunts wot tells TL's how to get a chap or girl, they might have some tips. See now, I'm not that fussy, as long as no one bites me or gangs up on me, I'm quite amenable. Anyways, I do hope that you find Wendy and Eric snuggled up together in the same bed soon. It wasn't very nice of them to wreck each others house either but I spose it's their way of telling each other wot they think. It's been fairly quiet here today, my mum had to go to the dentist to see the chap wot pokes between yer teef, she let him have a little poke but declined his offer of a polish. She hadn't met this chap before he's new there so she told him about the agreement she had with the other one, you don't hurt me and I won't hurt you, luckily my mum didn't have to bite or scratch him but she said at one point it was getting a bit close. Alfie and his mum called round at lunch time to say thank you and both me and Alfie acted like long lost friends, sniffing and making a fuss of each other but to be honest, I was quite relieved when he went off with his mum. Me and my mum had really good snooze last night with no interruptions. Hope you have a peaceful evening with Wendy and Eric having a peaceful time as well. ReplyDeleteI wondered if OTL would try to get Eric and Wendy together because it usually proves difficult to introduce them and he now has a double problem but get Wendy and Eric happy then maybe you could have a pair that mare happy together. Good luck, no bitten fingers and not too much fur flying.
ReplyDeleteYou made the most of the weather today, nice to see the pictures too. Glad Archie has made a friend of Alfie, must be the only thing (sorry Alfie to refer to you as a *thing*) but the only thing he hasn’t tried to eat.
