Rock On!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret!

No more cuddles for Eric, Miss Wendy has been charging around the lounge and you could almost believe that she was playing with Eric!

Mind you, when they went back to bed there was a squeak or two from Wendy as she threw Eric out of the cuddle cup!

Down on the sea front the Brant Geese were out on the mud flats enjoying breakfast!

It is about this time of the year that they turn up and stay over  the winter before flying off early in the year.

The Brant Geese have a white patch on their rear end!
The sunrise was a rather disappointing and the brightest thing was a jet trail lit by the sun!

Not the most exciting view of the sky!
Lunchtime the tide was in but it looked rough, in fact too rough to even chance a swim!

Come on, let's see if there are any new sniffs ahead.
When we got close to the forest there was a new Grain Rock on the bench. Now this one looked like a ghost holding a pumpkin!

All alone on the bench!
Old Two Legs said that it looked lonely on it's own and we decided to take it to where we left the blue rock the other day.

It will be interesting to see how long it stays there before it is taken!

Boo!
Tonight is Allhallows Night and we will be staying in, cuddled up on the sofa and trying to forget about the fireworks that normally start about now!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

We got visitors today!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

This morning was all sunshine and breezy, it made a change from that wind coming from the North Sea!

Just for a change, there was no screaming from Miss Wendy and Eric reserved his attentions on Miss Wendy to a quick butt sniff and then he ran off to play with Old Two Legs who was trying to clean the cage!

We were told that Aunt Zoe, Uncle Paul and Finley, Megan and Ethan would be visiting us this morning. So, hide all the chews and toys and make sure our beds are comfortable for snoozing while they are here!

I don't 'Do' Mini Two Legs and have had a grumble at them before!

Normally I sit on OTL's lap and grumble at them if they get too close! Today was no exception, I grumbled and managed a couple of woofs but OTL was too close for me to do any harm!

It was dark first thing this morning and the wind was getting up, in fact OTL had to take off his glasses 'cos the wind blowing across them made his eyes water!

It even looks cold!
The sunrise was a bit weak, I mean, not even a cloud lighting glow, more of a messy smudge!

No prizes for this show!
Lunchtime we were out a little earlier than normal 'cos Holly had a bit of the old 'Grmbly Tum's'.

The tide was in and the wind was catching the tops and making white horses. Just wait until the winter comes and the wind whips up some big waves, should be fun!

Just the start of the white horses!
Back home the MTL were playing with The Missus card making stuff, you know, loads of ink and inky pads and glue and glitter and other mucky stuff.

I was glad to keep away from them and let them wipe their hands all over the white T Shirts they were wearing!

Now for some great news.

Megan wanted to see the ferrets again and they took a while to locate, there, in the bottom cuddle cup, all cuddled up together was Eric AND Wendy!

OTL sent Megan down stairs to fetch TM to see and we were all smiling and clapping hands and going Oooo and Arrrrrr!

OTL even took a picture through the bars!

Now, we would like to see this every day now!
It didn't last very long but Eric crawled out of the cuddle cup and into another and there were no sounds of screaming from Wendy.

Claws crossed that this good news will keep going!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

It's Eric's Birthday!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

OK, all together, on the count of 99.

1,   6,   99!

Happy Birthday to Eric,

His years are numeric,

But his Butt is quite spheric

and so big for a ferret!

 ********************========********************

There, who said we couldn't find a word to rhyme with Eric!

Eric is all of three years old and is such a super ferret.

This morning Miss Wendy was chasing him around the house and we weren't sure if she wanted a 'Birthday Kiss' or to bite a lump out of his bum!

He managed to pinch my chew and as it's his birthday I let him get away with it but managed to rescue it after he had gone back to bed!

We did ask if he wanted to come out for a run but the dark clouds looked like they were carrying too much water!

I think Eric had the right idea!
All we found to chase today were a couple of rooks and they didn't hang around too long either!

Is it worth chasing him?
Lunchtime the tide was right in and even I decided it was too rough to go for a swim!

No, I think I'll pass on a splash today!
It's a good job that the wind wasn't too strong as it came off the sea or the waves might have blown over the Sea Wall and soaked us!

Oops! That was a close one!
Even our sandy beach was given a good wash by the waves and it didn't take long for me to decide that being up on the ea Wall was safer than being wet on the beach!

No, I definitely don't fancy being down there!
As we wended our way through the woods we came across one of those Grain Rocks. This one was sitting in the fork of a tree, so, we arranged that it be moved to where that other grumbly rock was sitting and planted it there!

Not a detailed as the Grumbly Rock but it looked fun!
Old Two Legs has been playing with the computers today, seems that the 'Network' has thrown a wobbler and seems to be missing bits. I can see he is going to order up some new CAT 5 cables and a new longer printer cable!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de 'Old Ferret'!

Back to the colours again!

Hello Woofers,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, here is a first for this end of the year, FROST!

It was a shock seeing it all over the windscreen and it took a whole five minutes to clear the screen so we could see where we were going!

Cold, cold frosty morning!
Heading down to Grain the sky was lit by the morning sunrise. The steam from the gas powered electric power station blocked the sun from us as we headed down to the sea side.

No, they are cranes, not giraffes!
Once we got down to the car park the sun was up and with a little careful positioning the trees were back lit!

Back lit!
Lunchtime it was dark grey clouds but no rain, Holly and I found a super sniff that we couldn't leave alone. Old Two Legs had walked nearly all the way down the sea front before we caught up with him.

I don't know why but he checked both Holly and I for signs of rolling in poo!

As if we would!

Well, it looks like it could hold a lot of rain!
Holly suggested that we should start a protest group to get Izzy out of her cage! I suggested we have a march and a chant.

Holly suggested this:-

Let Izzy outta her cage,

When do we want it, NOW!

Let Izzy outta her cage,

When do we want it, NOW!

We thought it was a great laugh and even had OTL marching up and down the office singing it!

Still, it won't be long and as long as her leg has healed she should be alright soon and will get back to rampaging across the fields!

See you all tomorrow!

Licky kisses to Izzy!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

An Extra Hour in bed!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

So, how do you feel now you have got an extra hour's snoozing?

Holly an I feel great, an extra hours cuddling up to Old Two Legs back!

Mind you, OTL didn't get any benefit, you see, the hour's change should happen at 02:00hr and for some reason, OTL woke up at 01:44hr and decided to watch the clock switch back an hour. Well, that was the idea, but in the end it got to 02:30hr and OTL got fed up and drifted off to sleep again!

So much for OTL watching time slipping by!

The ferrets got into a fight this morning and it ended up with Wendy attacking Eric just cos he wants a cuddle!

We had our walk in the daylight, that sort of light that wasn't dark or light, but it was light enough to see a couple rabbits on the path!

Lunchtime we decided to go out half an hour earlier than normal, you know, just so we can get adjusted back to real time again!

Once again OTL brought his Infrared camera with him and was having fun playing with the controls again!

Our 'Morning Tree' but in Infrared!
The IR is reflected off the green leaves so, just as an experiment he took a picture that contained no Chlorophyll and it looks like that if there is no chlorophyll then OTL should stick to Black and White!

Not a leaf to be seen!
Heading back along the path a couple of Two Legs were ahead walking and gassing, but the trees were hanging onto the last of the leaves.

Looking for Grain Rocks?
We headed back home and spent time getting ready for the F1 Race this evening. Bags of nibbles and biscuits for us while crisps and chocolate sweets for TM and OTL!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

A Different Look!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Well, just for a change, The Missus was in today, no Glue Slapping up the village hall!

She has however, been Glue Slapping in her 'Studio' and the clouds of glitter have blocked up the heating vents!

Once Old Two Legs has cleaned the ferret cage and put them back to bed we crept into the office and enjoyed a super snooze!

Warm, comfortable and draught free!
Now I know that the photo looks 'different' and that's cos OTL has just received his copy of a specialist magazine on landscape photography and there, on page eleven is an article on Infrared Photography!

So, out comes OTL's IR camera and he has decided to spend the weekend playing with it!

He has taken some 'interesting' shots in the past but that was in the summer when the chlorophyll in the leaves reflect the IR and you can get some crazy colour hues!

Holly in IR!
This one is our local church which is around nine hundred years old!

No, that's not snow, it's grass!
OTL reckons if you use RAW there is some strange effects to be had!

Yeah, OK, what ever!

This morning it was just too dark to use the camera so we had to wait until lunchtime before he could bring it out with us.

Lunchtime the ferrets were still asleep so we had OTL to ourselves, well him and the camera!

The path leads to the Sea Wall..
OTL was playing with the controls on the camera cos he hasn't played with IR for some time and his memory isn't what it used to be!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!
The first photo and the forth, fifth and sixth have come straight out of the camera and no Fiddly Diddly on the computer!

It would be interesting to see what some Fiddly Diddly would do to it.

Holly suggested 'Screwed Up' would be a good description!

The Long Path Home!
OTL says he may try some more IR but with a big wide lens on the front but then he remembered it was re-engineered to work on the 35mm that was on the camera. So, it's going to be a case of OTL walking closer if he wants to zoom in and get creative at 35mm!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May and Eric de Ferret.

F1 Racing this weekend!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

We have a good weekend ahead of us. Today it is Practise 1 & 2 then tomorrow we have the qualifying then Sunday the race!

Brrrm, Brrrm or wot!

Just after six we were awoken by Old Two Legs getting up this morning, he was really still asleep 'cos when he got out of bed, instead of turning left, he turned right and walked into the wall!

All this and he hasn't had a drink for two days!

It was dark when we left for our walk and dark when we got back, it's a good thing that the clocks are going back this weekend!

Back to real time again!

The Missus was out all day today so we had to look after OTL all on our own!

We kept him busy this morning and let him clean out the ferret cage while we had a snooze on the bed!

Both Eric and Wendy enjoyed a game with OTL, not together but as one finished jumping at OTL to other one started!

It's a game where they jump at him and he wraps them in one of our towels when he catches them in mid-air! The ferrets think this is a great game and laugh their tails off as race around OTL and try to climb up his back!

Lunchtime we didn't hang about on our walk 'cos we could see the rainclouds racing towards us.

A swift wee and wee was the order for today and we just made it back just before the rain arrived and before the delivery man arrived with a bottle of Water Butt Freshener!

Now, if we are correct, this stuff will get rid of algae from the butt and when we top the pond up, it will get rid of any algae in the pond as well, hopefully!

The F1 program from Mexico starts around four so we will all be sitting there getting our fix!

See you tomorrow and hopefully with the camera!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

You can tell Autumn is here!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Down here in North Kent it has been wet and soggy! The ground is getting more mucky and the puddles deeper!

Holly is complaining that her paws are forever damp and the mud was getting stuck between her claws!

This morning it was dark and wet but surprisingly warm. Watching Holly Tippy Toe through the puddles is funny and her tail wobbles all over the place!

Old Two Legs has been reorganising the computers in the office, crawling around under the desk, banging his head and generally getting in a state!

Now we have the computers with new monitors, all very posh!

Lunchtime the rain was coming down and OTL decided that we would be better off going around the football field behind our house. It was just as well 'cos the rain was dripping down and making our tails wet!

Still, a couple of wee's and a quick poo and it was back home again and up stairs for a snooze on our beds under the desk!

The Missus has been playing wit the TV and the controls that talk to the Internetty thing so that she can control the TV by using her mobile phone. Now that's alright but when OTL uses his earphones to listen to music on his iPlod he can hear the TV audio so instead of 'Knocking on Heavens Door' by Bob Dylan he has to listen to Dunton Abby DVD's!

A quick bit of fiddly diddly and back comes Bob Dylan!

Now there is OTL with the headphones on trying to sing along with Bob, OTL is not the best singer since he had an operation on his throat so when he tries to sing 'The Mighty Quinn' it sounds like a pack of pussy cats howling at the moon!

Knocking on Heaven's Door is something else!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

A Grumbly Grain Rock!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here.

Last night we managed to finish off all our treats and chews and Old Two Legs and I had a good game of 'Chase The Ball' up and down the lounge after The Missus had gone to bed!

After a good nights snooze we were up early this morning.

Both ferrets were fast asleep and OTL didn't wake them up so we headed off on our own!

OTL brought his camera along, hoping for a sunrise but he was out of luck, just a pale glimmer on the horizon which didn't amount to much!

Not wot we would call 'Impresive'!
This afternoons walk was full of Mini Two Legs running around screaming and making a nuisance of themselves, as OTL says, it must be half term!

One good thing today, we found another Grain Rock!

This one was sitting on top of a clump of grass under a tree!

OTL was thinking about moving it but left it where it was cos it looked really fierce!

A Growling Grain Rock!
This Grain Rock was the size of a Blackbird egg but it had a grumbly face and we didn't want to chance getting attacked!

We have found Eric in the same cuddle cup as Wendy and like yesterday, there was a pinafore between them but Eric managed to get a snooze even though Miss Wendy had her nose poking out from under the pinafore!

Later on Eric decided he needed more space and headed down to his normal bed!

Let's hope it carries on and when they are both sorted we will be able to get another two, or three?

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!

Hello Woofers!

Us here, Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

First, the good news. Old Two Legs had put one of The Missus pinafores in the big bed on the top floor of the cage. You see, Wendy loves curling up in the pinny box for a snooze after the morning rampage around the house.

Having put a pinny in the cuddle cup she normally uses, OTL watched her get in for a snooze. Then, a little while later he looked into the cuddle cup and found Eric curled up next to Wendy!

Wendy was on one side of the pinny and Eric on the other. Now we were sure that Wendy knew Eric was there but hadn't made a move to throw him out!

So, we reckon it's a Birthday Present from the Ferrets, just for us!

Claws crossed that things get better!

It was dark when we went out and just for a change, it wasn't raining!

There was not big sunrise 'cos the clouds were all dark and grey but OTL used the flash setting just for a 'Birthday Picture'.

Two Ten Year Old Puppies!
Back home we opened our presents and ran off up stairs to enjoy our chews!

After the ferrets went back to bed, Holly and I played a game of 'Chase The Ball' with OTL. He would throw a tennis ball out of the office and it would bounce off the landing wall and down the stairs!

Good fun!

Lunchtime the sun was out and we were off down to the beach! One of the good things is that as it's our birthday, we get to have a roll without OTL telling us off!

Oi! I've found another sniff!
Then, after a roll we had a chase up and down the beach, good fun!

Wheeeeeeeeeee!
Well, after all that running we got back onto the Sea Wall and had a breather before setting off for the forest!

Which way, left of right?
When we got to the bench we decided to have a rest and let some Mini Two Legs go past. Holly reckons it is Half Term as they had their parents with them!

It's OK, if we bark they squeal then run off!
The leaves are still falling down in the forest and it won't be long before there will be only branches.

We had a good look but there were no Grain Rocks to be found either on the ground or up the trees!

You can see further through the trees now!
Tonight we have some special food being cooked for us, Beef stew especially made for woofers!

Yum Yum!

Thanks for all the Happy Birthday wishes on here and the FaceAche that TM runs, and who was it that said Love To Eric?

See you all tomorrow when we will be ten years and one day old!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

Not the best Monday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Today it has been one of those Mondays that happen now and again, you know, wake up and hear the rain hammering on the window and Old Two Legs still wants to take us out for a walk!

Not the best way to start the day!

The ferrets refused to come out of their beds so we had OTL to ourselves!

The only good thing was, we did our walk on a fast trot!

It was dark when we left home and dark when we got back so we didn't have time to look for the rock Eric found yesterday. Maybe on our lunchtime walk we will find it and move it up into the tree!

While we were drying off on a pile of woofer blankets we heard the screams of Miss Wendy coming from The Missus stowage room. OTL went in and found the pair of them rolling around on the floor!

The trouble with them is that they are just as bad as each other, Eric has a sniff them Wendy launches at him screaming and Eric turns around so Wendy is talking to his butt!

Warfare doesn't last long and off they both go searching for chews and squeaky balls!

OTL spent the morning on the computer sending out invoices, he likes that job!

Now, we have been looking at the calendar and guess what?

Tomorrow is our birthday!

Yep! We will be all of ten years old!

Me and OTL when I was one year old!
We have been looking at some photos from when we were younger and up to today, there must be thousands of them!

Us looking all young and cute!

We even have some silly ones, like wot this is!

Holly the Whelk!
So, tomorrow we are expecting some Birthday Presents and a load of songs!

The ferrets have done a painting that we are going to get OTL to frame!

As if we could forget them!
Lunchtime we were out in the rain again but we had our rain coats on!

We couldn't find Eric's rock so tomorrow he can look for it himself!

We are going to have an early night so we can be up early for our prezzies!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

A Fun Sunday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

How's been your Sunday? We have been 'Relaxing'!

Old Two Legs said it was us being incredibly lazy but we prefer 'Relaxing'!

Eric came out with us this morning, he was waiting for OTL this morning and wasn't going to miss out a run so he rattled the cage and made such a noise you just couldn't ignore him!

Eric found OTL's jacket pocket for the first time and hid in there until we got out of the wind.

Once he had decided that the wind was gone he wriggled out and was soon dancing through the wet grass sniffing his tail off!

We met up with three other woofers with their Two Legs and each of them gave Eric a tickle behind the head and called him by name!

What did Holly and I get? Nuffin'!

That Eric is getting too big for his tail!

Back home the ferrets had a chance of a rampage around the house and unseen by us woofers they both pinched our chews and hid them under the furniture in The Missus's stowage room!

Lunchtime OTL convinced Miss Wendy that she would enjoy a run along the Sea Wall even if it was windy!

First of all she hid in OTL's jacket pocket  and stayed there with her nose poking out!

Once we got out of the wind Wendy climbed out and had a good ferret along the beach.

Yes, this is out of the wind and it's rather warm as well!
Holly and I found a good sniff on the beach and took it in turns to sniff and dig!

Go on then, your turn!
Then, once the sniff was dug up we both had a really good roll!

This is the way to do it!
As we headed back to the car Wendy found a Grain Rock under a pile of leaves and after clearing the leaves away Wendy decided that the rock was going to stay at the base of the tree.

We have agreed to look for it tomorrow morning and if found, we will move it up the tree!

Look! I've found a Rock!
This afternoon Holly decided to go on the hunt for the missing chews and once she had located them she found that she couldn't get them out.

That was it, she sat there and started to woof, then she woofed some more until OTL came to see what the noise was all about.

Next thing OTL was on his knees and reaching under the furniture until he found two Teeth Cleaning Chews that we had lost yesterday!

After getting them out Holly insisted that OTL go back under the furniture and bring out the Brambles Biscuits that were hidden by the ferrets!

Finally, after a big sniff, Holly decided that there were no more sniffs to be sniffed!

That Holly Chops has got a very sensitive nose!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

Sunny Saturday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

We were up early today, it seems that The Missus was attacked by a bit of Lamb Hotpot she made yesterday.!

What was worse was she made enough for six meals!

Seems that the remaining Hot Pot is destined for the compost heap. Shame cos it sniffed quite nice!

Well, an early run wasn't too bad and the ferrets were still fast asleep!

We had a great time, the sun was shining and the sniffs were good and dry!

There were some more fungi that had sprouted and Old Two Legs couldn't resist a photo!

Fungi for Fun!
OTL says that some are good to eat, like the fungi we have with crispy bacon rolls but we have to stay away from the fungi on our walk 'cos they would give us terrible tummy upsets!

Back home the ferrets were awake and fighting. Seems that they both wanted to go down the ramps to the Poo'in Place and were pushing and shoving and That's When the Fight Started!

Holly and I had a great time snoozing the morning away, the Missus had gone off to her Saturday Crop and OTL was on his knees shovelling Ferret Poo!

Lunchtime came and Holly and I were down the Sea Wall again and Holly decided that she felt like running.

I was more interested in the sniffs and mentioned that if Holly tried to run she would wobble so much her harness would fall off!

That's when the fight started!

Come on, let's have a race!
TM enjoyed herself at the crop and said she felt a lot better than she did this morning!

Sunday should be fun, weather looks like it will be sunny but cloudy!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Wet, Wet and more Wet!

Wotcha Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

We had a bit of a disturbed night, loads of rain fell down and there were a couple of thunder bangs that woke us up, well everyone except The Missus who ignored all sounds and carried on snoring!

It was still raining when we were ready to go for our walk and we were not looking forward to walking in the ran!

The ferrets stayed in bed and refused to wake up!

Old Two Legs got soaking wet and Holly and I got severely wet but we can have a good shake so we were able to get home in a 'Damp' condition!

As you would expect, OTL left the camera in the car, so no dramatic sunrises, unless you like raindrops on the lens!

Today there is sunshine, followed by rain and sunshine and clouds and sunshine and rain!

I suppose the weather man will say it is 'Changable'!

Lunchtime we headed off again, leaving the ferrets fast asleep and just for a change, the sun shone!

As we walked across the football field we spotted some fungi!

Almost a Circle!
We headed for the woods and there, in the grass, almost hidden from sight was a..........

A Painted Grain Rock!
OTL picked the rock up and left it on the concrete post, at least you can see it there!

Nearly all the blackberries had gone, just the last few!
As the mornings are damp and the ground is a bit soggy, there seem to be more fungi poking their flowers up above the ground!

We will have to go down to the woods we used to go to when we were young!

The sky started to get dark so it was a quick run across the field as the sky got darker and darker.

Then the rain came!

It's wet again!
Back home the ferrets were still snoozing and Eric keeps looking into Wendy's cuddle cup and wondering if he should get in for a cuddle but then he bottled out and went back to his bed!

Poor Eric, all he wants is a cuddle!

Trouble is, Eric has got to learn to be a little more gentle when he joins Wendy in her cuddle cup!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
