Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here on a damp and grey New Year!
Happy New Year to all of you out there, the readers and commentators on our little blog!
Last night Old Two Legs and I sat up until the fire works went off all over the place.
Holly had gone up stairs to bed with The Missus, just in case there were any whizz bangs going off in the village.
Surprising, there were some bangs coming from the holiday camp but not enough to worry us and Holly stayed tucked up under the duvet!
So, at midnight 2020 arrived with not so much of a bang but rather a Phutt! Let's hope it's not a for taste of the year to come!
As you would expect, we were up a little late, a whole hour late! When we got to the beach it was all grey and no wind. There was a sea mist out to sea and it had crept onto the beach, damp!
Back home the ferrets had their morning rampage and Holly and I got a chew to gnaw at until lunchtime. These chews are great but I have noticed that if I get a chew, then Holly wants to pinch it! Likewise, if Holly gets a chew I always reckon that hers tastes better than mine!
It's the same with the ferrets, Miss Wendy reckons that the Bramble Biscuit tastes better if it is stolen from the bag rather than the bowl!
Lunch time OTL took the phone camera down to the beach 'cos the conditions were such that he thought it a waste of time taking the 'real' camera, well, if this is all you can get then it's not really worth it is it!
I mean, wot a terrible picture! |
That means King Plawns and Plawn Clackers and Chicken Strips but we will leave the bubbly alone!
A super start to the year!
So we will wish you all a very Happy New Year and may you achieve all you wish!
Luv,
Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!
Yo maties sounds like you all had a good evening even though you spent it differently. Me and my mum went to bed before midnight but there was lots of whizz bangs so we didn't get to sleep. We had a lovely lay in this morning. We met up with Brenda and Milly and we walked along discussing the sniffs. Me and Milly were allowed in the shop on account of it being new year cos there wasn't any people around. I bet you and Holly chops enjoyed them chews. Pinched stuff always tastes better. I reckon that picture looks good. Well tomorrow is the last lay in for a couple of days for me & my mum but my boy is back at work in the morning. Enjoy the plawn clackers & flied life tonight, you could have a sniff of the bubbly, you might like it. Have a lovely evening all. Love, licks, wags & sniffs from little Arch & the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteHardly any fireworks here either thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteHope the Chinese was good. We had a quiet day and made a delicious lasagne for lunch, it was lovely!
Interesting picture from OTL! It was a bit murky here too.
Hope 2020 is a fab year for all who visit this blog, and for all at Godwin Towers.
Hugs, Sarn xxx
