We have been left alone today!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Do you remember yesterday when I showed some Two Legs walking in the mud?

Well, a few years ago we were out walking with Old Two Legs and he took this picture!

You mean I have to Wash it Off?

Today has been awful. OTL has had to take the big car to the menders to get the electrical connectors for the caravan re-newed and of course The Missus has had to drive him there and back.

It was terrible, one moment they were her, then just like Harry Potter the both Apparated out the front door!

Holly and I were left at home to woof our tails off at the passing neighbours!

Then, back they came but before you could say 'Woofer' they were off again!

TM never got time to do her video today so I imagine she will be busy tomorrow playing the Diva!

Now, talking of video and photos, Sarn sent TM a couple of pictures of Blackbirds sunbathing next to the bird bath but as the photos are a little out of focus it is hard to see exactly what they are doing. however, I reckon that like other corvids I have read about, I reckon they are sitting on top of an ants nest and letting the ants attack them so that the ants squirt acid at the Blackbird which in turn acts as a body spray to kill off the fleas!

Oh, that's fizzy!

It would be interesting if Sarn could go and have a look where the birds were to see if there is an ant’s nest there?

Holly says that ants taste like Fizzy Sherbet Lemons but I don't know how she knows these things!

I reckon that is how she gets a Grumbly Tum, licking ants!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Sorry for the fuzzy photos . . . Taken by phone from indoors on longest zoom so as not to disturb the birdies. Top picture is a blackbird in the chipbark & a starling on the grass. Just checked for ants . . . Scraped around & there were none. Honestly, the birds were sunbathing.

Hope you gave your hoomans a woofers welcome when they finally came home. Was OTL's crying from pain in his wallet? I hope not.

    Have a great evening. Xxx

  2. Yo maties. Well I don't fancy sitting on an ants nest, they might bite my butt then it would get itchy or they might run over my butt and then it would get itchy, I don't like getting an itchy butt. Now I hear the biggest container ship in the world went up the river near you and it's supposed to be coming back down tomorrow around 10 in the morning or so someone on the Grain faceache says. My mum has been doing some glue flinging in between jobs today and she got covered in ink, she got some blobs on one of her nearly new t-shirts, in the shape of finger prints, so she can't blame me or it would be paw prints. My boy had the day off today but he has to go back to work tomorrow and on Thursday they're opening the shop where he works. I've had a pretty busy day chasing squirrels out of my garden. I went for an early walk and only saw 2 other woofers, they weren't woofers I normally see. I bet you and Holly chops worked hard guarding while Mrs TM and OTL were out, I hope you get extra treats for all that work. Take care and have a good evening all. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
