The Last Leaf of Summer

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here.

We have had a lazy day today, having a bit longer in bed and a game of 'Bounce' with Old Two Legs.

First thing in the morning we head off to the back garden for a quick wee and grab a chew from The Missus the back up to see if OTL is awake. Normally he isn't so we have to wake him up.

Now, a cold, wet nose in his ear is a good way but it leaves him a little grumpy, so, what I do is to run up the bed, jump onto his pillow, hold his head down with one of my paws and give his ear a good lick!

He normally bounces up in the air and trying to pull the duvet over his head at the same time. This is the sign for Holly to jump onto his head as well and give his other ear a good lick!

OTL by now is bouncing this way and then that way and getting in a terrible state not knowing which way to turn to rescue his well licked ears!

Great fun!

It was just getting light by the time we got out this morning.

The Container Cranes over at Grain looked like they were still asleep!

From the old golf course we could see the rig RAN still sitting in the docks and no sign of it moving yet.

Back home TM was doing a video again so we had to stay locked up in the office with OTL not making a sound!

Lunchtime the sky looked as dark as it was this morning but at least it wasn't raining and we enjoyed a good walk along the sea front sniffing the sniffs and woofing at the Two Legs walking along the sea wall.

As we walked through the forest, we could see that the leaves were dropping off the trees a pace now.

There was one oak tree we pass as we enter the forest where during the summer had a fantastic amount of leaves but now, they had all gone and left just one leaf hanging on for all it was worth, we reckon a stiff breeze would send it crashing to the ground.

That's if a leaf can crash!

The Last Leaf of Summer.

Mind you, if you look carefully on the branches there are leaf buds getting ready for next Spring.

Looks good eh?

We haven't had Winter yet and there are next year’s leaves getting ready to sprout!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Yo maties. Well I've had a nice lazy day as well. I got up early and saw my mum off to work, then when she came home we both had a siesta together, snuggled on the sofa. If I want to wake my mum up, I usually stab her in the eyeball with my nose, that don't half make her jump. She nearly takes off, off the bed and lands on the ceiling. Mind there's nothing like a cold wet tongue to get a TL moving. We watched Mrs TM flinging the glue and guess wot .... we heard Eric, he was moving boxes looking for smoothies, now how comes he can be there and making a noise when you and Holly chops are locked away? It would be so nice if I could see you two when Mrs TM is flinging the glue, I mean, there's lots of your fans just waiting to catch a glimpse of the pair of you. Nice pictures today, all the leaves have fallen off the little tree in my garden, and most of the leaves have fallen off the trees at the bottom of our garden, my mum will probably only have to do one more clearing of leaves this year. My mum and my boy have just finished stuffing their faces with plawn clackers and flutterby king plawns, pair of piggies. My boy treated. Anyways, take care all and have a lovely cosy evening. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
