It's the first Daffodilly!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy here with some good news!

We were out first thing this morning and, on our way, around we looked for the first Daffodilly but couldn't see anything that looked like it was ready to burst open.

Getting close but not close enough!

We looked all over the walk, into the bushes and under the trees but there was no sign.

Now I had got this feeling that the Daffodillies were ready to bloom and I just felt it was going to be today.

Around nine thirty I started to worry Old Two Legs to go out again but he just didn't get the message. I woofer and whined and banged on the door.

I jumped up onto his lap and licked his nose but he still kept on about it being too early to go out for a second walk!

Finally, around eleven thirty, he agreed to us going out, at last!

The sun had got up and was flying across the sky, the clouds were bright and scudding across the sky.

It's all looking good over Sheerness Docks!

We went over the hill and down towards the car park when, there, in the middle of the meadow where the Oxeye Daisies flowered last year and almost took over the whole area!

A small bunch of green pointy leaves stuck up in the air and in just one stalk stood a yellow flower!

A Daffodilly was blooming, just one flower, waving gently in the breeze but it was the first!

The first one we have seen this year and a sure sign that Spring is here!

That made our day seeing the Daffodilly, I do love seeing flowers blooming early!

There we go, the first!

See you all tomorrow and who knows, there may be some more blooming Daffs tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy.

  1. Yo Daisy. Well the weather here has improved a bit and I took my mum for an early walk. We didn't meet anyone else on our walk but at least we weren't blown away or frozen. My mum went off to town to get me some broccoli and some bits and bobs for her and my boy and she reckons, she saw loads of daffidillies, she said there was loads outside Waitrose, all in tubs and fings all waiting to be bought and planted in peoples gardens. We've got quite a few pointy leaves but no flowers yet. All 3 of us have had another lazy day, I didn't get quite the lay in I was planning this morning but at least it wasn't silly o clock when the binmen woke me and my mum up. Smashing pictures today, and that little daffidilly looks very sweet. I think I'm going to put my paws up and have a pre scoff snooze. Take care, stay safe and warm all. Love, licks and sniffs from little Arch and the others.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
