Windy or wot!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy here again!

Now then, today is a very important day, its Auntie Di's birthday, she is Dumpty Dingle Years old!

So, after 79 I want you all to join the Happy Birthday Song!

Get ready.......here we go!

One...........23.........Sixty-Four.....................................................Seventy-Nine!

Happy Birthday Auntie Di

Another Year! My Oh My!

We'll get the booze out that we've found

Sing Happy Birthday and pass it around!

Mine is a large one!

It's been windy today, like first thing this morning it was just a strong breeze and dark.

The wind started to build, pushing the waves out towards the North Sea.

As we headed for home, we could feel the wind rising and waving the trees back and forth.
Lunchtime it was a little different, it was gusting so hard that it blew both Old Two Legs and I along the path!
Looking out to sea we could see the water was being blown even further into the North Sea ant the surface was being whipped up into a misty layer of water across the River Medway!

OTL kept his hood pulled up over his head but the wind kept blowing it off so all he had was his hat to hang onto!

On the way back home, we spotted a wooden electricity pole that had snapped and was being held up by the electricity cables. That's OK but the cables were stretched across the road and if the pole came down then the wires would be across the road!

OTL noticed a label on the wooden poles giving a telephone number of the 'Emergency Section' and spent twenty minutes on the phone telling them all about it and exactly where the pole was located!

Having done his good deed, our little soldier and I headed for home to inspect the dustbins that had raced off down the street and the fence panel that was trying to fly off across the farm land!

You know, we get a lot of flying fence panels in our village, they normally try flying at the same time the electricity stops working!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy

  1. Yo Daisy, well it's very windy here today as well. My mum won't let me go in the garden without my lead on on account of things falling and blowing across the garden. I was shut in when my mum and my boy were trying to stop one of the fence panels from taking off across the garden, it was funny, cos they got it back in place and they were doing things to keep it where is should be when it suddenly popped out and smacked the pair of them in the butt. They managed to get it back in between the posts again and worked on keeping it there and so far, it's staying where it should be but who knows, it might suddenly take off. We've got loads of big branches come down from the trees at the back of our garden, one bit is stuck in the ground, my mum says we are all lucky none of us were there when it came down cos it's well and truly stuck and my mum said it would have done us a nasty injury. It's been a very noisy day here. My mum was enjoying her zooming with the glue flingers until they all got cut off when she was in the garden hanging on the fence. We've all got our paws crossed that this storm ends soon cos we're all getting fed up with it now. Hope you've got your power on back home cos my mum said it went off for a while this morning. Happy birthday to Di, hope she is safe and the wind can help her blow out her dumpty dingle candles. Nice pictures. Take care, stay warm and safe all and watch out for low flying fence panels. Love, licks and sniffs from little Arch and the others. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. Dear Daisy,
Thank you so much for my birthday song. You are very kind and so good at writing songs! Your number work still needs practice I’m afraid……..oh no I’m forgetting I’m not a teacher anymore………..I do forget things now I’m so old!
Tell Little Arch that he needn’t worry about my candles as the Mighty Wind is rattling at my letterbox as he wants to come in for a slice of cake! Stay safe in this weather. Love from Auntie Di.

  3. Well I didn’t think much of Storm Eunice’s tantrum. She threw a few of my roof tiles around and I was not impressed! Roofer coming tomorrow thankfully.

Glad you’re all safe and congrats to OTL for being a local hero re the power lines xxx
