Another Busy Day!

Yo Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

We have had a busy day today, Old Two Legs has been crying into his wallet again!

It started off this morning when Holly and I landed in the 'Poodle Parlour' for our shampoo & set!

A little while ago OTL was informed that the prices have gone up and that got him all sad and poor.

Today they tried to charge him even more! So, why the increase OTL wanted to know and the girl said that they charged even more for Yorkshire Terriers!

Stuff the Yorkshire Woofers said OTL, my dogs are crossbreeds and live in Kent, not Yorkshire!

The girl said that she would keep it at the old price this time but next time the price goes up!

OTL is going to see if there is a City & Guilds course on dog clipping and do it him self!

After that upset OTL was off to the dentist and after stabbing him and drilling holes in his teeth, he then got some medication and a big bill.

More crying into his wallet!

This afternoon I was taken to the vet for a checkup on my water works. OTL had to get a sample of my wee which was sent off into the back room for testing.

Why can't they just sniff it like wot us woofers do, I mean, we can tell your life story with a good sniff!

We were told my Ph. is a little Alkaline and there was some Protein in my wee as well. So, OTL was given another sample bottle and told to come back in six weeks time with another sample, my wee not his! 

Well, tomorrow should be a little quieter, just the anti tick stuff to go on!

I'm off to see what is for dinner!

Here comes the rain!

We were out early this morning, we got woken up again by The Missus!

Last night TM went to bed early 'cos she said she was feeling 'Wobbly', OTL sez that she should have more water with it!

TM said something rude!

This morning it was cool enough to take the ferrets with us but Wendy and Fred were up for a run and a dig on the beach.

OTL was keeping his eyes open for bugs and stuff and alone the Sea Wall he spotted this bug legging it along as fast as it could go!

Can't stop! Too Busy!

We all had a good sniff and a dig, well all of us except Holly Chops, she reckoned that the beach was just right for catching a few rays!

Oh Pleeeese! Why are you lot so energetic?

Lunchtime it was still cool enough for ferrets so May and Eric enjoyed a charge around and I got good and grubby with a sniff I found!

This is the Dogs!

Now, Miss May was rather interested in the beach sniff that I found and after I had finished she went over to it to see wot I was getting so excited about!

Oh, YUCK! That is sooo gross!

That ferret has just got to get with the beach sniffs!

The weather forecasters have been all doom and gloom about the next few days, storms, rain, floods and plagues of locusts!

Tomorrow we are off to the 'Poodle Parlour' for our 'Short Back and Sides' all ready for the holidays and OTL is off to the dentist 'cos he has a tooth ache!

Early evening I have to go to the vet for a check up and OTL will have to get a new prescription for my pills!

More crying into his wallet!

We start getting ready for the Hols!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, it's started! This is the time when Old Two Legs starts to get everything ready for the holiday. He has got the camera gear bagged up and the ferret cages we take away are dug out of the shed and cleaned then stored in the back of the big car.

We were up early, mainly 'cos The Missus was up at the crack of dawn and was making such a noise with her crafting stuff!

When we got to the beach the tide was still out so Eric had to make do with a paddle in the rock pool.

No Nargles here!

 I managed to get in some 'Sniff Rolling' even though it was a dead crab from the last high tide!

Yeah! A sort of Crab Paste Roll!

 Eric had fun digging in the sand while May went into 'Sniff Mode' in the Sea Kale!

That sun is getting warm!

 Lunchtime we took Fred and Wendy down the beach and of course, being Sunday and sunny there were loads tourists and of course they all wanted to stroke Fred and Wendy!

Anyone would think that Ferrets were new!

 OTL came across this flower growing beside the grass path. The colour was bright in the midday sun!

Next we will be looking for butterflies!

Holly and I have started to get our holiday stuff ready, you know, balls, bones, rain coat!

Well, it is Scotland and you know how much rain they get!

It's all happening!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

We were up early today, The Missus was going to her Master Class, so she was up early and if she is up early, then everyone else is up early!

Mind you,it has it's good side, I caught the tide!

Just look at that water!

 Old Two Legs had taken off my harness 'cos he reckons it's better to have a dry harness and a wet woofer than a wet harness and a wet woofer!

Mind you, he doesn't take the harnesses off the ferrets 'cos they would be off like rockets, in opposite directions!

I don't mind the harness, it's better than rain coat!

 Holly Dog was showing off 'cos she didn't want a swim and there was no sun! That means she couldn't roll around on the beach getting a sun tan!

Holly's got 'The 'Ump'!

 Mind you, I can see what she means!

Wot Sun?

 Lunchtime it was too hot to take the ferrets out and OTL had telephoned the Telescope shop to find out if they had got his controller in yet?

'Yes' says the man but we close at 14:300hr today and don't open again until next Wednesday!

That was it, we rushed down to the car and off we went and an hour later OTL was getting back into the car with the controller!

Luckily on the way back we called into the Riverside Park and enjoyed a stroll all the way around and this time it was Holly who chose where we went!

Haven't been down here for some time!

 It was good to see the boats were still there and even that wooden yacht was still on the beach!

Still here!

 Now we have got an appointment with the Poodle Parlour next Tuesday so we understand wot Archie Babe means about the sniffs! Mind you, we will get a dose of anti tick stuff on our shoulders, all ready for the holiday!

Now, a new vet? Just when you get them trained they clear off! We have the same problem here but we have been lucky that they all seem to know what they're doing!

OTL always asks the same question, 'Wot do you know about ferrets?' You see, ferrets are not your normal everyday pet that walks through the front door!

Mind you, I've got to go to see the vet before we go away, I need some more pills and a checkup!

We are going to spend this evening reading the instructions on the controller, OTL needs at least three sessions of study before he plugs it in!

If he'd listen to us we would get him sorted in no time but he insists on doing it the hard way!

A day for paddling in the sea!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, young Eric overslept this morning. He was up most of the night partying and generally making a lot of noise! He decided that he was going to make the most of his birthday and he wanted everyone to join in, whether they wanted to or not!

Old Two Legs had decided that Miss Wendy and Eric were coming with us this morning 'cos Fred and Wendy came out yesterday morning. The midday sun being too hot for ferrets!

I was first onto the beach and as the tide was in, so was I, straight in for a splosh!

An early morning dip, just what the vet ordered!

By chance, young Eric was close behind me on the beach and said that he fancied a quick splosh as well! He has been practising at home with a plastic tray full of water and a few squeaky balls!

It keeps running away!

 I was too busy chasing the bit of wood OTL had thrown in for me to rescue!

Come here Sticky Wicky!

After a good swim I had a really good roll on the sandy beach and ended up looking like a sheet of sandpaper!

Even Eric said I would be in trouble when I got home!

How do you make it stick?

 Lunchtime OTL decided that it was cool enough to let Fred and Wendy come out for a run and although they didn't get into the sea, Wendy managed to get a good paddle in the rock pool!

Oooooh! It's cool on my tummy!

Fred decided that Wendy could do the paddling for him as well! Mind you, he gave Wendy a good cuddle when she came out of the water!

OK, I'm dry enough now, shall we go back or carry on digging this hole?

 After the run we were all tired so we spent the afternoon snoozing while OTL was playing on the computer!

Happy Birthday Eric de Ferret!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and (Birthday Boy) Eric de Ferret here!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIC de FERRET!!!!!

Eric is a whole year old today, well we are not exactly sure of the day but we have all agreed that June 1st is Eric's birthday!

This morning he got first cuddle with Old Two Legs as it was his birthday, mind you, he nearly always gets first cuddle 'cos he is the first one awake and banging on the cage door!

When he was let out to have some breakfast, the first thing he did was to hunt out his squeaky balls and hide them behind the paper shredder!

He knows where OTL hides the balls, so, the first place to look is........under the Ping Pong Balls!

Come on Squeaky, Come to Daddy!

 Once he was out of his cage he had such a rampage around the house, Miss May was chasing him and they were play fighting and dooking their tails off!

Down on the beach it was sunny and balmy breezes again. The tide was still out but Holly and I didn't mind 'cos we know it will come back in a week or so. Well, I'll be pleased 'cos I'll be able to have a swim again but Holly Chops will stick to shore line!

Yeah! Not bad when the sea has gone away!

 Holly sat down and decided that she would enjoy the lack of sea and abundance of sun!

This is how it should be done!

 Holly said that she could sniff food on the breeze and finally we found the source of the sniff, it was where a family had served up a BBQ sausage meal!

Yeah! It was here but now it's gone!

 Eric has been enjoying today, when he is awake of course! The Missus has told him about the thousands of 'Happy Birthday' wishes that have arrived on FaceAche.

We don't do FaceAche but TM is on it all the time, I mean, who would be interested in us?

Holly has still got her Grumbly Tum and OTL says it's all because she keeps on eating the wrong grass!

Tonight TM has got some Bambi Burgers, so Holly Chops will have some burger dipped in eggy yoke!

Holly's Loosing Her Touch!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy ad Eric de Ferret!

It has been a pleasant day today, the ferrets have been scampering around the house, Holly and I have been snoozing on the sofa and Old Two Legs has been chasing suppliers about expected deliveries that haven't turned up!

He don't half show off when stuff gets delivered late!

To show you how he gets, he forgot to take the camera with him on our morning walk! Holly and I nearly caught a rabbit and we were so close that the rabbits nose was tickling out noses as we raced after it!

Now, that would have made a super picture!

Instead you have got a picture of Miss May digging a hole under OTL's boot!

If you don't shift it I'll dig under it!

 OTL moved his boot and May went into 'Hyper Mode' shovelling sand all over the place.

Sorry OTL, did I scare you when I was throwing sand over your boots?

Now, you all know how Holly Chops is governed by her stomach? Normally she can extract a sausage sarnie from and hard hearted fisherman when she puts on her 'Poor Puppy' look and makes like she hasn't been fed for a month!

Well, we came across this family enjoying a picnic on the Sea Wall. They had cheese sarnies and sausage sarnies and crab paste sarnies as well! There was some crisps and hoops and even a bit of pork pie as well!

Holly went into 'Feed Me' mode and tried all of her tricks to get a nibble but no one offered her even so much as a nibble!

Poor Holly Chops, not even a sniff!

In the end she had to give it up 'cos OTL was calling her to have a run on the beach!

Poor Holly, tonight she has Doggy Scoff as well!

Back to work!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

It has been a busy day today, Old Two Legs is playing about with bits of paper and paying bills.

You can tell it's the end of the month!

It was a bit cloudy this morning, but that didn't stop us from having fun down on the beach.

It could rain but in the end, it didn't!

Wendy and Freddy just love a dig on the beach. Wendy was getting deeper down the more she dug!

Freddy tried to help but he is not that good at hole digging!

Go on, find your own hole!

 It didn't get any better at lunchtime. Both May and Eric were very sleepy and when we got to the car park they were still asleep! OTL had to carry them all the way down to the beach and when he set them down, they just wanted to get back up into OTL's arms again!

Go on, let me get back up and finish off my cuddle!

 OTL said that they had to walk 'cos they needed the exercise!

Holly had a grumbly tum and OTL had to do some 'Tidying Up' around Hollies back side before she got back in the car.

I don't care, I'm not getting any closer to her backside!

With a bit of luck, we may get a cloud free evening and if so, OTL has promised to get the telescope out! He has ordered an adaptor so that he can mount his camera on the scope!

The last time he had the 'scope out he saw a meteorite hit the upper atmosphere and also a satellite went over but he didn't need the 'scope for that one!

It will be good when we go on holiday 'cos we will be up in Scotland and away from all the lights!

Dry! I'm Dry and there is no chance of me getting Wet!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, today it has been a lot cooler than yesterday, so we took Wendy and Freddy out first thing this morning. They had a run down to the beach and enjoyed a dig in the sand and then trotted all the way back to the car!

Of course, when they got home, it was such an effort trying to stay awake!

And who is sleeping in my bed?

 Old Two Legs has been leaving a tray full of water in the shower with some squeaky balls floating on top. First Eric and then Freddy had fun 'Rescuing' the balls and storing them in The Missuses work room.

Once they were all back in their cages, OTL found one of them had pinched the grid on the waste pipe in the shower and they are refusing to tell OTL where they stored it!

Lunchtime we decided to take May and Eric down to the beach 'cos the temperature had dropped down to a sensible level that wouldn't be any problem for ferrets!

When we got down to the beach, there was no water, I mean nuffin'!

 Eric and May went down to the rock pools and had a little paddle but OTL wouldn't let me do the same 'cos he reckons I would have a roll instead of a paddle.

As if!

Hey! Woofers! Watch me get my paws wet!

 May and Eric had fun rolling on the sand and paddling in the rock pools!

Come on, let's go up to the Sea Wall!

 I was not happy about the lack of water, I mean, I've had a swim every day and I had a great time but today, nuffin'!

Holly wasn't any help, laughing all over her chops!

Look! No Water!

 Her humour is not really welcome!

Not a wave to be seen!

 Last night there was a storm and loads of water fell down. When we got to the beach May noticed just how much the Sea Kale had grown and of course, that was a good excuse to have a roll!

Just look at the size of it!

There was one of the 'Volunteers' riding around on the grass cutter thingy cutting down all the weeds.

Well, it keeps them out of trouble!

Brrrm, Brrrm!

Back home OTL has been fiddling about with the telescope trying to get it all set up for Equatorial Polar Alignment!

Well, it keeps him out of trouble!

I don't think that we will be star gazing tonight 'cos there is too much cloud but the weather forecast says that maybe tomorrow there will be clear skies!

Today I got wet ( on purpose!)

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

It looked like it was going to be another hot day so we took Eric and May down the beach first thing this morning after dropping The Missus off at the Village Hall for day number two of glue slapping and throwing the glitter pots around!

The ferrets were having fun throwing the sand around but it took a little while to get going 'cos some Two Legs had got off their bikes to watch them from the Sea Wall!

Ooo! Look, Rats!

The problem with Two Legs is they just open their mouths before consulting their brains!

Yeah! Long Wheel Base Rats to you!

 Miss May decided that she would try digging a trench along the beach but everywhere she started to dig, she would end up bumping into young Eric!

Look! Instead of a trench, let's try a big hole!

 Holly and I were watching the TL's and speculating on how they could sit on such a small seat on the bike and not fall off!

When we turned around there was a whopping great hole behind us!

I reckoned the ferrets were trying to get us to fall in but Holly says that it looks like a hole a Mini TL would dig!

No, I can't sniff ferret around it!

 Back home the ferrets all had a rampage around the house and everyone, with the exception of Eric, all found places to fall asleep!

May and Wendy headed for the inside of the lounge chair and Freddy fell asleep on my bed underneath Old Two Legs desk!

Lunchtime it was just Holly and I down the beach, it being too hot to take the ferrets out. OTL took my harness off me 'cos he knew what I was going to do!

Yep! Splash!

It was so cool in that water, I even did a 'Ferret', that is blowing bubbles through your nose while it is under the water!

Bubbly, Wubbly, Bubbly!

 OTL decided that we should head for home but I met up with Bonny, the Staffy, who was chasing a rubber ball. I tried to beat her to the ball but she is just a little too quick for me and I might just get trodden on at the speed she goes!

She is in there somewhere!

 Actually, she is a big show off, charging in and out of the water like that. No finesse like wot I have, I gentle push off from the beach and sneak up on the ball or lump of wood.

She, on the other paw goes tearing in looking like she can run on water!  

Show Off!

 Back home it was a bowel of 'Posh Scoff' and because we were hungry, Holly and I managed to finish it all!

Then we left OTL with the instruction manual and a Star Guide and headed off to have a snooze before TM got back.

Now she is back we are heading down to watch the recording of the F1 racing!
