Monty is still off his food.

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Little Monty is still not back to normal yet. Old Two Legs has been trying to get him to eat some special stuff he got from the vet that should help make him feel better. The vet gave him two tins of the stuff plus two syringes.

Now, at first OTL was unsure of the syringes but last night he mixed up a bowl of this stuff, mixed with Royal Canine Convalescence powder and a splosh of Lactose Free Milk. Monty didn't want it, so, using the syringe, OTL managed to get a couple of tubes of the stuff down Monty's throat. He didn't like it and put up a bit of a struggle even though OTL wrapped him up in a towel.

This morning OTL tried a mixture of just the convalescence powder and lactose free milk and once again he struggled like mad trying to get it down Monty's throat!

OTL says that he remembers when he had to give Snowflake some medicine using a syringe but just after he squirted it into her mouth, she shook her head and both OTL and the Vet were covered in the medicine!

That was before we discovered Ferretone!

Yeah, we have tried Ferretone with Monty but he doesn't do Ferretone as much as the other ferrets!

OTL says that it may not be much but he is managing to get some down Monty's throat which is better that nothing!

Miss Wendy keeps cuddling up to Monty and giving him a sniff around his tummy and butt. Then the pair of them creep under the blanket and have a snooze while OTL mixes up some more powder!

It's strange how miss May just loves the stuff and can't get enough but Monty thinks it is poison!

We met up with Olly this morning and told him about Monty. Olly said that he sends his love to Monty and although he rather fancies roast ferret on toast for breakfast he understood about not liking the medicine!

What do you reckon a ferret tastes like, rabbit?
OTL was looking for insects but all he came across was this daytime moth, well, we think it is a daytime moth 'cos we haven't seen a butterfly like it!

Must get the book out and see what this is!
Lunchtime I had a bit of luck, there, on the ground was a brand new shinny tennis ball just waiting to be thrown. OTL spotted me sniffing it and threw it down the path for me. I got a bit fed up later 'cos OTL couldn't throw it that far, what he needs is the throwing stick in the caravan to get some distance!

I'm getting fed up with this, I need a good run not a trot down the path!
The Missus said that there were loads of messages on FaceAche wishing Monty well but as we don't have FaceAche on OTL's computer we can't see them.

Well, a big thank you to all who have send good wishes and mixed with our good wishes we are hoping that he starts eating again 'cos that will be a good sign!

Tomorrow Monty is off to the vet first thing. More news as it comes!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Not one of the best days we have had!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here.

Not the best of days, it started off raining as we headed out for our morning stroll, well the clouds made everything dark and gloomy!

Old Two Legs made it a little darker by doing some fiddly diddly with the camera settings, just to give it atmosphere, well, that's his excuse!

Moody? Well, it still looks just dark to me!
While he was messing about Holly and I headed off to the long grass for some serious sniffing and a nibble of grass 'cos Holly reckons she has a Grumbly Tum and needs a little 'Help'!

I'd much prefer the Spring Grass, it's got more body to it!
Being as we were out earlier than normal we didn't see anyone on the path or even in the woods, it was almost spooky!

Just us and the trees!
A quarter to eleven arrived and OTL was off with Miss May, Wendy and Monty to see the vet.

Miss May got weighed and pushed and poked then finally she got stabbed with the sharp needle and that was her sorted for the next twelve months!

Young Monty came out of the cage and was pushed and poked and prodded and finally the vet said she had found a 'Lump'!

Unfortunately an X Ray wouldn't show anything 'cos Monty was so small and there was only one thing that could be done, an operation to see what was there.

So, we had to leave Monty at the vet and we are all sitting at home with our claws crossed. It seems that the longer it is that we don't hear anything the better it is, so, at half past one we are trying to keep busy by writing up the blog and hoping we don't get a phone call until late this afternoon.

Well, the phone rang a couple of minutes ago and it was a case of 'Good News/ Bad News'.

It seems that there is no blockage in his gut, 'good news' however, the vet found that the adrenal glands were enlarged due to 'Adrenal Disease' and while he is all sewn up and recovering the vet says Monty has 'Two or Three months at best'. It seems there is no cure and antibiotics may help but if it gets painful there may be just one option left.

It means however, that he will get a load of loving and anything he wants in the way of treats!

OTL is going to pick him up around six thirty, so we will have posted this blog by then. If there is any more new we will tell you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

It's Dry for a change!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

What a super day it's been. No rain at all today, in fact it has been rather sunny and very August like!

We had a super walk along the sea front and as Eric had come along as well, we challenged him to a race!

Come on, the first down to the beach wins!
Of course, there was no way he could beat us and to be honest we didn't even expect him to try!

But it was fun winding him up!

Never mind a running race, how about a sniffing contest!
Knowing what a Super Sniffer he was we declined and ran off looking for our own sniffs!

Eric was having a great time in the long grass sniffing out all the Weasel sniffs and even found a couple of what he said were Stoats!

Bet you can't see me here in the grass!
Soon we ran out of long grass and headed towards the trees. Eric and I had a chat about Miss May and he said that she was off to the vet again tomorrow to get her yearly injection and she was taking Monty with her 'cos Old Two Legs was worried about his weight loss and didn't know if it was because Summer was here or there was something else!

Yeah, he has never been what you could call 'Cuddly'!
Lunchtime came and although there were clouds in the sky, it was still warm with a gentle breeze blowing.

There seem to be more ships than normal heading up the Thames.
Wendy and Monty came out for a run and we had a bit of a scare. While we all were looking out to sea counting ships, we heard the pounding of two woofers in full charge and out of the bushes came two greyhound woofers charging along at full speed.

Now there is nothing a greyhound loves, besides a rabbit, is a pair of ferrets for lunch! Now OTL knows this and like a flash was down and picked both ferrets up!

Lucky for us, there rushed off into the next group of bushes looking for rabbits and didn't see us or the ferrets!

What the Ferreting Heck was that?
We waited a while but they didn't come back and Wendy and Monty carried on ferreting around in the long grass, doing what ferrets do best, ferreting!

Lets hope Monty gets sorted tomorrow and OTL's credit card doesn't catch fire!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

A Wet Day!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret back again!

OK,  today is Rosie's birthday and we have been thinking of a special song just for her, so, how about this?

On the count of seven............4, 5, 7!

Hey Rosie!

It's your Special Day
Sing out Hip Hip Hooray
A Happy Birthday Dear Rosie
Now, can we have some cake?

What a wet day it's been today, it started out being just a gentle wind but as the morning proceeded it got wetter, especially around eleven of the clock!

Before the soggy stuff arrived young Eric had a great time down on the beach, digging holes and sniffing all the sniffs along the beach!

Well, it looks mild but there is rain in the air!
The one thing about Eric is, he is a bit of a snitch, I mean, there am I, having a dig and a roll when Eric pops his head up and asks Old Two Legs, ''Ere, can she do that?"

I'm telling!
Mind you, I was half way up the beach and I had an attack of the 'deafs' and took no notice of OTL whatsoever!

She's not listening OTL!
Holly was still nibbling at stuff on the beach and if she carries on she will definitely get the Grumbly Tum!

Back home The Missus was clearing up the bits that had got chopped off the tree in the garden. One of the problems was there was just to much wild life!

This monster frog not only tried to run away but at the same time screamed at TM and squirted a fluid out of it's butt at her!

TM called OTL to put him back in the undergrowth!

Come any closer and I'll give you a knuckle sandwich!
We have been watching the weather forecast and it looks like it's is going to rain all day, so, at lunchtime OTL put on his rainproof clobber and marched us around the football field, not that we enjoyed that at all, wet grass and rain dripping on our noses!

Let's hope tomorrow is a bit drier!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

It's been a Ferret Day today!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Well, it has been an interesting day today. First thing this morning Old Two Legs decided that it would be a good day to exercise the ferrets. First thing Eric was put into his harness and off we went but this time he was in his cage, 'cos we didn't fancy him rampaging around the car!

Now, because the ferrets were going to be with us OTL didn't have his camera with him, so, no pictures today!

Eric was a bit slow in getting going but after a while he was galloping along the sea wall chasing Holly's tail and laughing his whiskers off!

We all landed on the beach and although the tide was out, we still had a good game in the sand, digging holes and rolling on the sea weed.

Holly found some stuff to have a chew on, we don't know what it was but OTL thinks it may have been a crab leg or two!

Still, if she gets the Grumbly Tum it will be her own fault 'cos she didn't take any notice of OTL when he told her to leave it all alone!

Well, he was half way along the beach and out of range of Holly!

Lunchtime it was Wendy and Monty's turn. Again it was a job to get them going but after a while they were both charging through the flowers and grass and having a great time.

Of course. being a Sunday, there were loads of visitors and strangers all over the place and the sight of a couple of ferrets charging about soon got their attention!

Back home the ferrets were soon snoring their tails off, all that exercise wears a ferret out!

If the weather is OK tomorrow they will be out again, who knows, we may even get OTL to bring his camera1

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Not such a good day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here.

I don't know what it has been like your end of the world but it has been a very windy day here in sunny North Kent!

I say sunny but that was behind the clouds and we didn't see too much of the sun!

Well, the sun is there somewhere!
There was also rain in the air so we didn't hang about too long, I mean, who wants to get wet?

Lunchtime was better, the wind had got higher and was blowing the trees about something rotten.

Old Two Legs said we should look out for falling branches and worse, falling trees!

Is it falling over or is it us being blown over!
It was a worry, all that wing but Holly and I had an answer, we stayed in the middle of the football field where there were no trees!

I see no trees!
OTL had his camera with him but didn't see any insects except a Small White butterfly who was desperately trying to keep out of the wind!

I'm not going anywhere until it stops blowing!
While OTL was wandering along looking for insects Holly and I found a super sniffy pile of poo that just screamed out to us that we should have a good roll!

So we did!

And then we rolled again!

Then OTL spotted us and started to jump up and down, the way he does when he's not too pleased with us!

When we got home we both got put into the garden and we saw through the window that he was getting out all the Woofer Washing stuff!

Shampoo, cut up towel to give us a good rub down and four Doggy Towels!

That was it, Holly was first into the shower to get Washed and Sploshed and squirted with cold water!

Holly got dried off and then it was my turn.

Now, I had more poo on me 'cos I was the first to find the poo. I got a serious scrubbing from the tip of my nose to the very end of my tail and everything in between!

After that I was dried down with the towels and given a brush. We were both told to lay down on the blanket on the sofa and warned ' not to move'!

Well, that was OK until OTL went off to pick up The Missus from the village hall after her 'Glue & Glitter Day' with all her mates.

Of course, as soon as she got in we told her about OTL being nasty and washing off all the poo but she didn't see out point of view, dunno why, I mean, she keeps telling us she loves us!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Woodman spare that tree!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret back again!

Now, you all know what today is, don't you?

It's Miss May's birthday today and we reckon she is about seven years old.

Seven years is a good age for a ferret and although she is not as fast as she used to be, she still gets about quite well.

A little bit of hair loss but we put that down to the medicine she is taking to combat the Insulinoma.

So now, all together, after one thousand and seven.........ready?

97.......1000.........1007!

Happy Birthday Miss May
It's your birthday today
You can poo on the carpet
'Cos it's your special day!

Miss May has been spending most of the day snoozing with Eric and as a special present, she got an egg from Old Two Legs and some extra Brambles Biscuits!

Today we had a visitor armed with saws and branch chopping instruments of war!

The Missus had decided that the tree in the back garden needed a haircut! There was loads of sawing and chopping and cries of 'Timmmberrrrrrrrrr!' as big branches came crashing to the ground!

The bird box fell off as he was examining it to see how it was attached to the tree!

OTL kept out of the way 'cos he doesn't do garden stuff very well!

There was some rain this morning when we headed for the sea shore.

The sun was hiding behind the trees and clouds.

No, I can't see the sun from here!
The tree looked good but there was a sad lack of sun!

It wasn't any better around the front of the trees but at least the rain had stopped!
The afternoon run was OK, no rain!

'Barking Potty'!
We had fun chasing the rabbits and checking out all the sniffs, there was even a weasel sniff among the rabbit sniffs!

It's amazing how much a weasel sniff is like a ferret sniff!
the rest of the afternoon has been spent watching the tree getting chopped up into little bits and stored in the dustbin!

Even the shed has got a new coat of paint!

Battleship grey!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Back to normal again!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

This morning Holly was up early and it was just too early to go out for a walk, so, Holly being Holly, she headed for the food bowl, just a little comfort food you see!

Unfortunately I had got to it first and I managed to nibble mu way through the Brambles Biscuits around three this morning!

That set holly off on the hunt for anything she could find, ferret stock piles of Brambles Biscuits under the sofa or up in The Missuses Card Room and hidden under the pinny's!

Needless to say, her thumping about woke Old Two Legs up and he rolled out of bed and headed off to the shower!

On our morning walk OTL brought the camera with him and while there were not many insects awake yet, at least the flowers were there to wave to us as we passed!

'Morning Daisies and Wild Sweet Peas!
Being so early in the morning we had first go at the sniffs before everyone else sniffed it all away!

Mind you, that early in the morning means that some sniffs just don't seem possible!

Well, to wee that high he must be a very big woofer, or he was laying on his back!
Back home the ferrets were enjoying a rampage around the house and Miss May was sitting there waiting for he 'Medicine'. OTL crushes a tablet and mixes it with some convalescence powder and a slurp of Lactose Free Milk. Once she has had one lick she just doesn't come up for air until it has all gone!

Poor Eric doesn't get a look in and has to sneak some of the milk that is left at the bottom of the dish!

He makes up for it by getting first lick of the Ferretone Oil!

Today the morning was quiet, OTL fitted a 'Thingy' to the little car dash board which means a gissmo can now be swapped between the big car and the little one!

Our lunchtime walk was fun, OTL was wandering along, not taking much notice so I sneaked off down to the beach to see if the tide was in, it wasn't but there on the beach, looking out to the mud flats was a Mummy Two Legs with her family, enjoying a beach picnic!

Well, I was down there like a flash, investigating what was tasty and seeing if I could get a nibble or two.

That was until OTL came down onto the beach to chase me away!

Rotten spoil sport!

Back up on the path we found a Large White Butterfly that looked like it was wearing out his wings!

This rutting game can wear a fella out!

Being midday, the sun was up and the insects were flying around rather quickly, making the most of the sunshine.

We came across a 'Painted Lady' who landed on a leaf and was having a break. She had her wings closed, so you could tell she was having forty micro winks!

It's all go up here, I could almost wish I was a caterpillar again!
It has been fun in OTL's office this afternoon, he has been playing with the computer and transferring 'Files' all over the place between the computers.

Still, it keeps him happy and he can't get into too much trouble!

Now, tomorrow is Miss May's birthday and we reckon she is about seven years old, which is a good age for a ferret.

So, I want you all to come up with a really special 'Happy Birthday song for tomorrow!

OR ELSE!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Stabbed Again, but I put up a FIGHT!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret again.

What a day today has been!

The Missus took us out again this morning 'cos Old Two Legs is still playing silly whatsits again and going around in circles as normal!

Holly and I spent most of the morning snoozing on the bed, that was until lunchtime when OTL decided he needed a break and called Eric out of the cage to go for a walk.

Well, if Eric was going out then so were we and we all stood in line to have our harnesses put on. Eric being first then proceeded to try to make Holly and I jump around by pretending he was going to nibble out tails!

Finally we were all in the car and off we went.

It was a good walk, we ended down on the beach where OTL was throwing the ball for us and Eric was doing some digging of his own hole!

Now, because OTL decided to take Eric as well, he didn't take the camera and on top of that, he left the phone in the car as well!

Soppy OTL!

Not to worry, next stop is the vet!

Miss May didn't seem worried but Holly and I have long memories and we are not so easily fooled!

We first had to get on the weighing machine and like good woofers, we were both the same weight as the last time we got weighed!

Next, in to see the vet and Miss May got shoved to the front of the queue 'cos her tail needed an injection to numb it before the vet started to dig out all the muck and rubbish.

We tried to have a look but OTL and the vet were hunched up over May, OTL with the bottle of Ferretone and the vet with a hand full of things that hurt!

May got put back into the cage while we were attended to. Holly first who struggled and jumped and growled and wriggled but the vet still stuck that needle in!

Next it was my turn.

I had been watching and reckoned I could get out of this.

So, as soon as OTL reversed me around I did a quick jump and kicked my paws up, then the vet tried to stab me in my butt!

Not having that!

So I did another jump and this time I tried to climb up OTL's front, digging my claws in for extra grip!

OTL then decided that he would show me who was boss and grabbed me over my shoulders and around my chest, then his other arm came around, lifted my backside up and held me in mid air while the vet lunged at me and .............'ing 'ell'

I got stabbed!

When we got back in the car, both Holly and I gave OTL a licky kiss behind his ear, just to show we still loved him and forgave the pain and suffering he caused us.

Mind you, the receptionist caused OTL to weep, OTL's credit card almost caught fire!

The ferrets are due for a stabbing at the end of the month!

Now, that should be fun!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

A Day For Cleaning The Office.

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Today we are trying to do the Blog using the iPloddicus and the Apple system and connect it with the Windows PC system.

We have been told that it won’t work but Old Two Legs never did listen to that story!

So, here we go, forest the picture, sorry, it’s the first one he put his paws on!

Guess Who?
Well, that came from the iPloddicus memory bank!

Now, let’s see if we can get into the network!

Well, not exactly, but we got this from the Google Memory bank!

Then things went all wobbly and we couldn’t see what we were typing, it kept on going back to the top  of the page!

So, we will hit the ‘Save’ button and go back to the Windows Laptop and see what we have!

OK  back on the laptop and it seems like we can work with it. However, I'm not too happy with the iPloddicus going wobbly!

This morning The Missus took us out 'cos OTL overslept and both Holly and I were crossing our legs!

Lucky for TM, the woodpecker was nowhere around, We think he heard us coming so he got out of the area!

Lunchtime we were out with TM again ‘cos she said she wanted to have a walk through the Forrest. Holly and I reckon all she wanted was a dip in the sea!

OTL was left at home clearing. Up his work space, well there’s magazines all over the place and piles of paperwork followed by tools and other stuff. We reckon it’s going to take him all afternoon to do it!

Well, it looks like the iPloddicus will write the blog and as long as the pictures have been taken with or stored in the iPloddicus, it might be a problem, so, all we got to see is will the spell check works and then up load.

Claws crossed!

Well, that worked but we don't have the 'Post Settings' so, if we upload the blog early or late we can't upload at a specific time, just up load when you've finished!

Now, spell check, that don’t work. you have to go back to the Windows  machine to learn if you have speelt it propper like!

I will be glad when OTL gets back to taking us out 'cos he knows where all the rabbis are and better still, he has a camera with him!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!
