Wet, Wet and more Wet!

Wotcha Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

We had a bit of a disturbed night, loads of rain fell down and there were a couple of thunder bangs that woke us up, well everyone except The Missus who ignored all sounds and carried on snoring!

It was still raining when we were ready to go for our walk and we were not looking forward to walking in the ran!

The ferrets stayed in bed and refused to wake up!

Old Two Legs got soaking wet and Holly and I got severely wet but we can have a good shake so we were able to get home in a 'Damp' condition!

As you would expect, OTL left the camera in the car, so no dramatic sunrises, unless you like raindrops on the lens!

Today there is sunshine, followed by rain and sunshine and clouds and sunshine and rain!

I suppose the weather man will say it is 'Changable'!

Lunchtime we headed off again, leaving the ferrets fast asleep and just for a change, the sun shone!

As we walked across the football field we spotted some fungi!

Almost a Circle!
We headed for the woods and there, in the grass, almost hidden from sight was a..........

A Painted Grain Rock!
OTL picked the rock up and left it on the concrete post, at least you can see it there!

Nearly all the blackberries had gone, just the last few!
As the mornings are damp and the ground is a bit soggy, there seem to be more fungi poking their flowers up above the ground!

We will have to go down to the woods we used to go to when we were young!

The sky started to get dark so it was a quick run across the field as the sky got darker and darker.

Then the rain came!

It's wet again!
Back home the ferrets were still snoozing and Eric keeps looking into Wendy's cuddle cup and wondering if he should get in for a cuddle but then he bottled out and went back to his bed!

Poor Eric, all he wants is a cuddle!

Trouble is, Eric has got to learn to be a little more gentle when he joins Wendy in her cuddle cup!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

I Dun Summat I Haven't Dun For a Long Time!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Something woke me up early this morning. No idea what it was, no sounds of cats or hedgehogs or lost woofers.

So, having woken up I went for a stroll around the house, doing my Guarding Bit!

Still nothing, so I tried to get back into bed but Holly Chops had wiggled into my bit of the bed and I had to go into the office to carry on my snooze.

Holly stayed where she was for the rest of the night and even cuddled up to Old Two Legs to keep warm!

I made some noise around four thirty and that woke OTL up, so, the next thing is a shower and off for a morning walk!

Both ferrets were fast asleep so it was just Holly and I with OTL out for an early morning stroll.

We got down to the Sea Wall and saw that the moon was out, casting shadows over the rabbits that ran away as soon as they saw us!

A shot of the moon through the clouds!
As we walked along the Sea Wall the sun started to creep towards the horizon. It didn't poke it's face through the clouds but it did light up the sky.

We haven't seen this for a few weeks!
Back home we woke the ferrets up and told them all about the sun rise and the moon. Eric didn't seem interested but he did enjoy the bit about missing out on the moon lit rabbits!

Lunchtime the ferrets were asleep again and Holly and I got to choose which path we went on. Holly left it to me and I chose the path up to the old gun emplacements while OTL was looking for something to photograph.

He just wasn't keeping his eyes on Holly and I. Holly missed it but I found a real mucky sniff and had the best roll I've had for a long time!

By the time OTL noticed I was missing I had got really mucky!

You know, he called me a Mucky Puppy and a Smelly Mutt!

That's the trouble with Two Legs, they just don't appreciate a sniff!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy (the Smell), Holly, Miss Wendy (the Snooze) and Eric de Ferret!

Cometh the Water Butt!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

You can tell it is Autumn, it seems to rain more often and today's no exception. We were up early and found that Eric was snoring his tail off! Wendy was wide awake and running around the cage.

So it was, Wendy came along with us and cuddled up to Old Two Legs when she felt some rain drops on her ears!

Wendy decided to leave the Ferret Bag and instead creep down OTL's arm and then squeezed her way into an inside pocket of OTL's jacket.

OTL told us that Snowflake was the first one to find that OTL's pocket was a really comfortable to rest!

OTL told us that as she got older she needed a wee more often and it was always a race to get down to the beach before Snowflake wee'd in OTL's pocket!

Wendy said that she would wait until we got to the beach before having a wee and a poo!

Lunchtime Eric was awake and busting to get going and said that he wouldn't ride in OTL's jacket pocket and instead walked all the way along the Sea Wall until he got to the beach.

This looks like a good place to wee!
As it was high tide, the amount of beach to run on was restricted.

That water is getting closer all the time!
Holly was glad to get back in the car, she doesn't do rain and was waiting by the car while we were across the other side of the car park.

I really don't do wet!

Now, you all know we have a wild life pond and The Missus has decided that instead of filling it up from a tap we should do it from a water butt that had been sitting for a few days getting a low pH.

Well, the butt arrived today but the container of anti algae ordered at the same time was missing. OTL rang the company and was told that we should look in side the butt, OTL informed the man that the only thing in the butt was water!

It looks like a container of anti algae is going to be sent!

Sorted!

See you tomorrow!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Weasel Sniffin'

Hi Woofers!

Guess who? Yes, it's Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Wot a change from yesterday, the temperature is up and the wind has gone and we were a whole hour late in getting up!

I must admit to feeling a bit wobbly, I think I might have eaten something that I should have left alone!

This morning I am feeling better but I think another day might sort me out!

Holly is no help, she says that the trouble is chews, like I should leave them alone and let Holly have them all!

Eric came out with us this morning and was pleased that the rain had stopped and the wind had dropped and the sniffs were great under the leaves!

It's a Weasel Sniff, I'm sure of it!
That rock we left on the gate, remember? Well, we found it had moved half way down the forest path. Well, we couldn't leave it there, so Old Two Legs picked it up and put it in the fork of the tree!

Let's see if it is there tomorrow!

Lunchtime we woke Wendy up and off we went again.

The tide was in and I was thinking about having a dip but old Grumpy said that if I did I would get a shower and a hair cut when I got home!

Spoil Sport!

Come on Daisy, no paddling today!
Miss Wendy was enjoying herself, after waking up, and marched nearly all the way along the Sea Wall and then through the forest as well!

Come on, let's race those woofers along the wall!
Mind you, racing woofers is fun but in the end you have to pay.

For a start, woofers have longer legs that a ferret and try as she might, she couldn't keep up with us and when we got to the car she fell asleep!

Wake me when we get home!
That was it, she slept all afternoon and didn't look like she was going to wake up until tomorrow!

Bye for now, see you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Yucky Monday!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here on a right grotty Monday!

It was so good over the weekend, F1 racing and rampaging around the Sea Front!

This morning we looked out the window and were in two minds whether or not to go for our walk but Eric was jumping up and down and rattling the cage!

It was raining but not too heavy so we decided to carry on.

Eric was having a great time diving into the wet grass and running along the Sea Wall, blooming show off!

I must admit that I was glad to get home, a bit damp and soggy but I got wrapped up in a couple of Doggy Towels and Holly and I had a snooze on the bed while Old Two Legs did his jobs!

Lunchtime we were out again but Wendy decided to stay at home, she said that the wind had got up and it would be too draughty!

Draughty? Really? No, it was a balmy day!

Now, this is what we call 'Breezy'!
As we walked along the Sea Wall the sea was being blown over the wall and onto the path. Holly got splashed at one time and quickly decided that it looked dangerous and headed up the hill!

This wet is coming from the side instead of falling from above!
Getting into the woods, away from the Sea Wall we could see that Autumn is galloping along. Leaves are falling and it won't be long before all that will be left is the tree trunks and branches.

Another three weeks and they will all be bald, just like OTL!
Just before the car park, we had to pass the gate and there, sitting on top of the top bar was.....................A Rock!

It's another Grain Rock!
OTL has been playing on the computer today, since he installed the new modem it's all been flying in the office and there has been no hiccups at all!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Sunday, so it must be F1!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

What a race for first place! It almost was a hectic as when Holly and I race for the treat box after eating all of our dinner!

Eric came out with us this morning but because it was so dark we didn't take the camera with us but after the run Eric was so exhausted he didn't even try to chase Wendy! He had some breakfast, a slurp of Lactose Free Milk and a couple of capfuls of Ferretone and then put himself to bed!

Miss Wendy had the run of the house and enjoyed a game with Old Two Legs where she would chase him until he turned around and then she would roll on her back and laugh her tail off as he tickled her tummy!

Other than beating Eric up she reckons this is the best game!

Lunchtime she was awake so OTL got the cage out and her harness and off we went to the Sea Wall.

OK, I'll race you to the end!
Miss Wendy had a great time, first by running along the Sea Wall 'cos that helped her trim her claws a little. OTL normally trims them for her but she says that the concrete works just as well!

She ran almost all the way along the wall and then down onto the beach. The tide was in and we suggested that she go for a swim!

Not Ferret Friendly!
Mind you, I think I may have had a dip myself but OTL had that 'You Just Try' look in his eyes which meant I would be in his 'Bad Book' if I did!

Something tells me I would be in trouble!
About half way through our walk the rain started, not heavy but enough to notice!

OK lads, let's head for home!
We got back to the car and found a rock parked next to the car. Holly asked it if it wanted a ride anywhere but the rock didn't answer her but Wendy suggested that we park it on top of one of the concrete posts to save it getting run over!

Another of the Grain Rocks.

Anyone had a look on FaceAche for Grain Rocks? OTL isn't into FaceAche so we don't know what it's all about.

F1 Racing was good, Hamilton looked grumpy 'cos he came third but his mate Bottas came first!

You'd think he would be pleased for him!

Vettel made a cod's of the start and never looked like getting close to Bottas or letting Hamilton get past!

Loads of bumps and bits falling off the cars, it makes it more interesting when they are allowed to 'Race'!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

A Soggy Doggy Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

What a day it's been, we started off first thing this morning getting up early, like it was very dark!

Eric rolled over and went back to sleep and Wendy didn't even wake up!

There was the 'Light Rain' falling as we headed for the car but by the time we got down to the Sea Wall we had decided that today it will be a 'Quick Poo and a Wee and back home!

We ignored the rabbits that were pulling faces at us while sitting outside their rabbit holes!

Back home for a rub down with one of our Doggy Towels then off to the bed for a chew and a snooze while Old Two Legs cleans the cages.

Eric was in a good mood, he was chasing Wendy around the lounge making her squeak her tail off every time he got close to her!

By the time they got back to their beds they were both tired!

Lunchtime was no different and the rain was coming down even heavier that this morning so it was a case of the fastest wee and a poo you have ever seen!

OTL had the new modem delivered this morning and he has spent almost all day getting it to talk to all the Wi-Fi and hard wired stuff.

The only thing that is not listening to the new modem is the outside camera, seems to have fallen asleep!

That will be a job for OTL tomorrow!

Now, we are sure that there will be a more exciting tale to be told about Alfie The Pug and the sleep over. We were wondering if Archie Babe managed to keep all his own scoff or did The Pug get his nose in Archie's bowl?

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

Erik De Dog Looking Smoooooth!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret back again!

Well, it's Friday again and this is the day the dustbin men call. We just love it when the call 'cos Holly and I give them a really good woofing!

Not that they take much notice!

Eric was awake early and demanded to come with us for the morning walk. The sunrise didn't happen so we ended up with us walking along the Sea Wall sniffing the sniffs.

When we got back little Wendy had woken up and was waiting to get out of the cage for a rampage around the house while Old Two Legs cleaned the cage.

One thing we noticed, the pair of them would be running around and bump into each other and instead of Wendy doing her screaming bit they just sniffed and ran on!

Lunchtime it was raining, a sort of misty rain that gets you wet without trying!

Holly and I changed the path we took so that we went through the bushes and then climbed up on top of the old fort.

Looking down on the Grain Fort.
One good thing about our end of the world, there are loads of forts scattered around the coast.

OTL found another rock and saw that it had some advertising on it. 'Grain Rocks' FB.

OTL reckons that it means there is a FaceAche page that covers the rocks but as OTL doesn't have access to Face Ache we will have to ask The Missus to investigate!

It could be Rock and Roll!
When OTL finished photographing the rock he found us having a game of chase with a couple of woofer and OTL got a picture of Erik looking all smart!

OTL did some Fiddly Diddly and produced this portrait!

Now, do I look cuddly or wot?
Now, you know we have a 'Wild' pond in the back garden and this year we were plagued with algae and OTL had to dig it out by hand. Well, TM had been doing some reading on cleaning out your pond!

So, we have on order a water butt and a gallon of natural algae killer which when we top up the pond, should keep the algae at bay.

Sorted!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

OTL gets Tecnical with the Help Desk!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret back again!

Another sign that Autumn is here, The Missus and Old Two Legs installed the 'Winter Half' of their duvet this morning.

I must say, the 'Winter Half' does make the bed all snugly and warm!

This morning we were up late and missed the sunrise which while it was colourful wasn't spectacular, no clouds, just the sun coming over the horizon!

As we were a little late, it gave Eric time to wake up and convince OTL to take him with us which wasn't any hardships and he did enjoy a run along the Sea Wall and even had a little dig in the sand on the beach!

Back home Holly and I waited until the duvet was on before jumping up to give it a good test before falling asleep for an hour or two!

Hey! It was good to hear that Archie Babe managed to run circles around the vet, it's good when you can get your own back!

Lunchtime came early 'cos OTL had been chatting to the ISP (Internetty Service Provider), or rather the 'Help Desk'.

There has been some trouble with the Internetty, it keeps stopping and was beginning to drive OTL to call it all the names he normally reserves for the computer!

Well, the Help Desk sent a filter that had no effect, in fact the whole thing stopped until OTL took it out again!

The Help Desk said that they had tested the line and found that everything was working as it should.

This upset OTL and he asked them if they understood the word 'Intermitant'!

They agreed that OTL should keep a log of the times the Internetty falls over and what the results are of the BT Wholesale Line Test. This he did and it looks like the Modem was at fault cos the incoming signals were within specification but the out going was a load of poo!

A new up to date model of modem is on it's way!

Wendy came out with us for the lunchtime walk and once she got going, she had a great time sniffing the sniffs and digging holes in the sand!

Back home she went into the cage and headed off to the food bowl, waking Eric up as she stood on his head to get her nose into the bowl.

Now, Eric didn't like that and thought that she was attacking him.

..................and that's when the fight started!

It was a good thing that OTL was there to part them both and after a cuddle Eric went back to bed and Wendy rolled into the bed and went to sleep!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

More Rollin Stones!

Hello Woofers!

We are back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

You can tell Autumn is a coming, on some trees the leaves are all gone and the leaves left on the other trees are getting ready to fall!

With the leaves gone you can see for yards!
Another sign is the paths, they are getting muddy and soggy so we have to wipe our paws before getting into the car!

This morning we left Eric in bed and headed out in the dark to catch the sunrise. Old Two Legs has missed a couple of sunrises and wants to get a 'Good' one before the clocks go back to 'Real Time', unfortunately, today was not his lucky day and all he got was a grey sky!

No sun behind the trees today!
Back home Wendy was still asleep but Eric was shaking the cage door, cross that we left him in bed instead of waking him up for a run!

Mind you, lunchtime he was asleep again, so we left him to snooze!

Down on the Sea Front we found another of those painted stones on the back of a bench, so OTL turned it around ninety degrees and left it for someone else to find!

I might take a wander down on the beach!
As we got back to the car park there was another stone on the 'Notice Board'. How the stone climbed up there we are not sure but OTL moved it along to the end so it could rest against the post!

So, who is this Man United?
Holly and I got to go on the beach and have a roll in the sand. OTL called us both 'Smelly Nelly Woofers' but we didn't care, just as long as we get out roll!

Shove over, this bit's mine!
OTL decided to add his marker to the beach and found a Whelk Shell so he left it at the top of the stairs from the beach. Let's see if it's still there tomorrow!

You are Whelkcome to move me if you want!
Over the last couple of days we haven't heard any squeaking from Miss Wendy, so that means she is getting more tolerant of Eric or he has been keeping out of her way!

If there has been any squeaks in the past, OTL goes in the office and opens the cage door and Wendy comes flying out of the cage door and lands in OTL's lap!

It's her that is making all the noise and chances are that it is her who starts the punch up!

OTL reckons it won't be too long before the pair of them will be found in the same cuddle cup and snoozing!

Crossed claws!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
