It's the clocks fault!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

We had some fun this morning. You remember yesterday when Old Two Legs got up too early? Well, yesterday he found some batteries and fired up the clock again and put it on the bedside table.

It looked super, glowing away in the darkness and getting signals from somewhere to tell it what the time is.

So, normal time came and we all headed off to bed. The Missus was first to bed followed by us a little while later after our night time snack!

OTL climbed into bed and was soon snoring his tail off, as normal!

This morning arrived and OTL was still sleeping. TM had got up early and crept out of the bedroom and headed down stairs to finish making Christmas Cards.

She had remembered to shut the bedroom door and in doing so, OTL carried on snoozing, until gone seven!

That was it, out he fell from bed banging his head on the wall!

I went back to sleep under the duvet he had thrown off!

Being so late, we got to the sea wall in time to see the sunrise, not that it was spectacular but we hadn't seen it for some time seeing how we have been getting up at six and walking in the dark!

There you go, it's behind the cloud!
We walked on a little further and just where we left the Grain Rock the other day. OTL spotted a tree whose leaves had all gone and the bough was bending over making a frame around where the sun was trying to climb up over the clouds, so, clicky click click went the camera and this fell out when we connected it to the computer!

Not bad, maybe he should have lost a bit more foreground?
Now, how about some really good news?

Another four days and it will be the shortest day, or longest night and Spring will be on its way!

We will have a few days of snow followed by a couple of frosty mornings and then sunshine and buds bursting!

Oh, I forgot, there will be Christmas and during January it will be OTLs birthday, so, plenty of warning, we want a really rude and naughty birthday song for him!

See you tomorrow!

What has he been doing?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Today has been a bit of a mystery, let me explain.

Now, normally Old Two Legs wakes up just before six in the morning and staggers out for a shower leaving me tucked up under the duvet he has just thrown over me on his way to the bathroom.

After a while, out he comes all sniffing of shower jell and tooth paste!

Then, once he is dressed we head off for our morning walk.

Not this morning!

OTL wakes up, rolls over to take a look at the clock just to check he isn't late for getting up.

This morning the batteries in the bedside clock have run out of electricity, like, the batteries are flat and instead of a pale green light shining on the dark grey numbers, there is nothing, no numbers, no green light, nuffin!

Now, OTL is a logical sort of Two Legs and reckoned that as The Missus was up and he was awake and feeling bright, then it must be around six. So, off he goes, throws the duvet over me and heads off for a shower believing all is OK.

Oh no it isn't!

After the shower, out he comes and starts rooting through the sock drawer, up comes TM asking if OTL is OK?

Yep, all OK says OTL, then what are you doing up at four in the morning?

WOT?  Four!!!!!!!

That was it, OTL has his socks on and decided that he won't go back to bed, instead he will have a cup of tea and read a book until it's time to go walkies!

Me? I went back to bed and crawled back under the duvet to finish of my sleep!

The Grain Rock was still on the bench this morning but it disappeared when we went past at lunchtime!

This afternoon OTL was off with the both cars to get them washed and cleaned inside as well and then he purchased a big cushion to go in the back of the small car and that replaced the old doggy bed we have been using for the last three or four years!

OTL has found some batteries to put into the clock, so we can expect him to have an early night, followed by a long sleep and wake up at six, providing of course TM closes the bedroom door when she gets up at four thirty!

See you tomorrow!

A Christmas Rock!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Ever have one of those days when you wish there was a storm or something going on, just to brighten up the sky? Today has been a little bit like that, I mean, boring or wot!

Old Two Legs has been plonking away on the computer and mumbling all sorts of curses, we think the computer is trying to wind OTL up!

The weather has been boring, lunchtime when we went out we at first thought that the sea had run away, then we realised that it was so calm it was almost the same colour as the sky!

Well, there's not so many wrinkles in the sky!
On our way to the car park we spotted it, there, on the gate post was a Grain Rock!

OTL said it was a picture of Santa Paws with a Christmas Tree tucked under his arm!

We took it and put it on a bench a bit further on and this time OTL decided to put where you couldn't miss it, well, we don't want Santa Paws to get lost!

Ho, Ho, Ho, anyone seen my reindeer?
We got a Christmas card from Auntie Sue and Nunki Mike, we are going to let Eric and Wendy have it on their cage!

Eric was asking OTL if he could have the new cushion, made by Ayoti, but OTL says he wants it for his back!

Given time I reckon Eric will pinch it!

See you tomorrow,

Luv,

Wotts This on the Chair?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

We love Sundays, no real work, just playing about with any thing we want. I had a great game with Old Two Legs, I found a yellow tennis ball and OTL tossed it down the stairs and I rushed down, found it under the chair, grabbed it and rushed back upstairs to my bed and sat on it waiting for OTL to try and take it!

Fat chance!

After breakfast Holly and I headed back to bed and the ferrets came out to play!

Eric's first job is to try to rob OTL of some of his milk from the cereal, only to find OTL had slurped it all!

Not fair! I deserve a slurp or two!
It wasn't too long before Eric and Wendy discovered a cushion on OTL's chair which had some very interesting pictures!

African Ferrets?
Well, that set both ferrets on a major investigation of the cushion, sniffing it all over, up the top and then underneath!

Eric reckons it is not edible!
They took it in turns to sniff and in the end decided that they couldn't eat it or bury it and it was just too good to do a poo on!

'ere! This ones got a red hat on!
They had a super time trying to roll it off the chair but OTL says that was not allowed and they should just sniff it!

I reckon there will be more fun with the cushion over the coming months! Who knows, they might pinch it and use it in their sleeping quarters!

Just for a change, it didn't rain here today but there was enough wind to blow the clouds away, so, the vista was, shall we say, bland?

Bland? Nah, just dead boring!
We are planning to watch a couple of DVDs this evening, so that means we will be starting around tea time and be finished by bed time!

Tomorrow OTL has a lot of work to do on the computer getting ready for his customer to do some tests before Christmas, with a bit of luck!

See you tomorrow!

A most Relaxing day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Well, today has been one of those terribly lazy days, you know, get up late and sort of forget to look at all the jobs you mean to do, like have a nibble of the new grass around the pond or hunt chews that have been stolen by the ferrets!

The wind has been blowing from the west so that means half of the time we were walking with the wind blowing up our tails and the other half blowing up our noses!

Unusually, we only saw a couple of other woofers who, like us, were not hanging about but rather heading for home as fast as their paws would take them!

After all the cages were cleaned and ferrets put away we jumped up onto Old Two Legs lap and enjoyed a snooze and a cuddle while he read a book!

The lunchtime walk wasn't any more exciting, we kept an eye open but there were no more Grain Rocks and the Cat Rock hadn't appeared anywhere else on our walking places.

Holly says that we may see some over the Christmas period and we have got to keep our eyes open.

Lunchtime the wind had changed direction a little and all the clouds had blown away leaving a cloudless but boring sky.

I mean, dead boring!

Oh! That looks exciting!
The afternoon was spent cuddled up to OTL and he carried on reading his book while Holly and I snoozed our tails off.

We reckon The Missus will be home soon so we must get to the bedroom window to keep an eye open for her.

Holly reckons she will come back covered with glitter looking like the fairy on top of the Christmas Tree!

See you all tomorrow!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

So, Where's the Cat Rock??

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, Friday again!

We like Friday 'cos we all sort of wind down and try very hard not to have anything to do that has to be done over the weekend!

Holly and I have been searching under all the chairs and the sofa and the boxes in The Missus card room. We have to look carefully 'cos Teeth Cleaning Chews hidden by sneaky ferrets who have pinched them from our beds!

Today we sent Old Two Legs under the boxes and chairs and he found a couple of ink stained Smoothy's!

It seems to have been raining all day or every time we wanted to go out and we all ended up with wet paws from walking in the puddles!

Holly and I are always getting our paws wet in the muddy puddles but we do have a laugh when OTL walks into the big puddle in the car park and proceeds to run on the spot cleaning the mud off his wellies!

I mean, he looks just like one of the Mini Two Legs messing about in the puddles!

We stopped on our way around the 'Walk' at the spot where the Grain Rock of the cat was positioned and found it had gone!

It will be interesting to see if it gets relocated anywhere else. We will have to have a good look tomorrow lunchtime. Providing it's not raining of course!

We haven't heard of any bones emitting from Archie Babe so maybe Holly's guess that he has acid in his tummy that will melt bones!

Talking of food, Auntie Sue seems to be out every day searching for and finding all sorts of food. She is as bad as Holly who has a life long desire to not only to find food but to consume as much as she can get down her chops!

TM is off to the village hall for some Glue and Glitter games tomorrow, that means that OTL will be able to have a snooze after lunch!

He gets all the best jobs!

See you all tomorrow and claws crossed, the rain might have stopped!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Roof Top Fun!

Hello Woofers,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

It has been another one of those damp, dark and drizzly days. If it were not for the need of a wee and a poo I might have turned around and gone back home!

It was dark this morning and there was a horrible wind blowing, there was no sign of any other woofers, not even a wee sniff!

Back home Old Two Legs was rushing around cleaning the ferret cages and replenishing the food bowl. There was time for a little game but soon OTL was saying 'Bye Bye' to us all as he headed out the door.

It seems that his expertise was needed regarding some of the stuff he sells. It was wet and rainy and there was OTL standing on top of the roof of a big academy lecturing about communication coverage while the wind was blowing rain through his woolly hat!!

I'm glad he knows what he is talking about 'cos I don't understand a word he says!

It was lunchtime before he got back and he said he was not only cold but wet as well!

Again, down on the sea wall there were no woofers and the wind was blowing even harder than this morning. It was definitely a case of 'Get it done and Home!'

Not satisfied with that, it wasn't long before they were off again to the village hall to vote, well it made a change from scattering glitter all over the place!

Eric and Wendy have been having a great time rampaging around the house. They are having so much fun together they are even both getting under the sofa and having a cuddle!

It's good to see them together, better than fighting!

Friday tomorrow and we will all be getting ready for the weekend, shame there is no F1 racing but Holly and I might mark out our own race track around the lounge and challenge the ferrets to a race!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

Dismal or wot!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret reporting in!

Well, it's not been exactly the brightest day, I mean, grey and dismal in fact I would even say it is a day to forget!

Our morning walk was in the dark, not even a sign of the sun, so, no pictures of sunrise today!

Old Two Legs has been just as boring, plonking away on the computer trying to sell stuff to his customers!

Boring!

Lunchtime it was brighter, no clouds and nothing else!

Now this is as good as it got today!
OTL was tasked with taking a load of rubbish down to the tip but Holly and I were told to stay at home and be 'Guard Woofers' making sure no one pinched his parking space!

Before he left Holly had a 'Mad Moment' and was chasing around the house with the cardboard tube from the kitchen paper towels.

OTL joined in the game and pretended to try to catch her as she wove her around the sofa and coffee table and a load of plastic boxes that The Missus has been filling up with stuff to take up to the village hall!

There are times when I think that Holly Chops it a Right Potty Puppy!

The back of the car is now full of yucky bits of wood and leaves and other yucky stuff that has been growing in the plastic bags!

We are going try robbing OTL of his dinner tonight, he has got curry and Holly just loves curry!

Mind you, I don't like it too spicy but I'll have a lick, just for fun!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Home Alone!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

Wot a miserable day it's been. I mean, we started off by getting up a whole hour later than normal and you know, it was still dark when we got down to the beach. The sun was still behind the clouds and Old Two Legs had brought the camera!

Now the sky seemed a little strange cos the sky over Southend on Sea was all red like wot Sheerness Sky should have been!

Red but in the wrong direction!
The next stop was further along the sea front and the sky was all sort of alight but no sun!

The sunrise isn't far away and the sky looks bright.
Then it happened, the sun poked its nose over the horizon and was getting all ready to light up the sky, but, just as the sun appeared the sky went all dark!

OK, who turned off the light?
Well, all this dark didn't last for more than a couple of minutes but as OTL said, 'Strange!'

We saw the Grain Rock, the one with the pussy cat on it, still in the same place. So, we reckon that the Two Legs aren't using their eyes properly!

We were taken out for our lunchtime walk a little earlier than normal, which is a little unusual cos we normally have to wake OTL up to go out!

We got back from a normal lunchtime walk only to find The Missus all dressed up with her high heeled wellies on and before we could ask anything they were off!

That was it, we got left behind for most of the afternoon!

Mind you, that means we get to get up on the sofa and have a good snooze!

We got sent a picture from Rocky and that shows him having a rest on the sofa as well!

OK, get the peanuts out, I'm feeling peckish!
Now, what's all this about Archie Babe not getting rid of the chicken bones? Holly reckons that he must have absorbed them together with his normal food and his Two Legs wasn't filtering his poo properly!

It's the same with our TL's, take today, just after picking up a Holly Poo and tying a knot in the plastic bag. OTL walked down towards the Poo Bin but stopped to take a picture of the sky over Southend when he called out 'Phew!'

It seems that when he lifted the camera up to his eye, the poo bag was still on his fingers and a whiff of Holly came out of the bag and up his nose!

We did have a laugh, these TL's are just not equipped to enjoy sniffs like what us woofers do!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

The North Wind Do Blow and We get Cold!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret back again.

No sign of chicken bones? Maybe Archie Babe has got stomach juices that dissolve bones like acid!

Today has bee a day for sleeping under Old Two Legs desk and nibbling on a teeth cleaning chew!

This morning it was windy, I mean real cold North Wind type of windy.

After turning right the wind was behind us and while OTL was OK with his big posh coat with a warm inner fleece we had to suffer a cold windy blast up our tails! That was of course until we got into the forest where it all got calmer with the trees breaking up the windy blasts!

In answer to Auntie Sue, no, no sounds of new claws in the office planned just yet. We are having great fun watching Eric and Wendy enjoy each others company. When they are out of the cage they play chase all over the house with Eric chasing Wendy who then rolls onto her back, grabs hold of Eric's ear, gives him a nip and runs off with Eric in hot pursuit!

They are then running through the cardboard tubes and under the shopping bags and not to mention, inside OTL's wellies where they try to rip the lining out of the wellies!

The lunchtime walk was about the same, cold and windy and a frozen butt, until we turn the corner!

One thing we did notice, the Grain Rock is still there in the crook of the tree where OTL left it. Holly says it is too well hidden and maybe we should move it but OTL wants to leave it for a week or so, just to see how long it takes the next before it is found again!

I'm off for another snooze before dinner, so, bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
