The Dismal Days are here!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here again!

What a day! I mean, I know it's Friday and Friday is a good day of the week 'cos it's so near to the weekend but today, yuk!

We got up thinking there could be a sunrise but when we looked out of the window, it was still dark, not a sign of the sun or even a glowing bit behind the clouds!

It was cold, wet and windy and we didn't have our Rufty Tufty Harnesses on, instead we had a couple of harnesses that looked like they were made out of boot laces!

I'll be glad to get back home!

Back home at last and we headed off to the bed for some 'after get up snoozing' leaving Old Two Legs to mess about in the office.

Lunchtime down the sea shore it was still as grey and cold but we enjoyed a sniff or two and also noted that that drilling rig called RAN was still in Sheerness but the crane looked like it was parked in 'Sailing Mode'!

I know I've said it before but it looks like it's getting ready to sail away on the next high tide!

The next High Tide will be about three in the morning and the next is around three in the afternoon so we'll just have to watch out for it!

As we headed back towards the car park there was the wormy man out in the mud digging for worms but the tide was chasing him up the mud towards the sea wall!

Dig a hole, run a few steps up the mud flat then dig another hole then run up the mud!

Driving back home we heard the weather forecast and it looks like it will be getting colder over the next few days, do you think there may be a chance of some snow?

Holly and I used to like rolling in the snow, I wonder if the ferrets will have as much fun?

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

It's an Anvil Cloud!

 Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

We have had some sunny weather today and Old Two Legs was up early again to catch a sunrise.

Only, it didn't happen!

When we crossed the football field we could see a big cloud up in the sky racing towards the north.

Holly took a look and said that it maybe a thunder storm in the making 'cos thunderstorms always seem to come from clouds that look like an anvil!

Now, does that look like and anvil or wot?

We walked on around the old golf course and the anvil passed us on it's way across the Thames and into Essex but then, just as we got close to the football field, guess what we saw?

Another Anvil shaped cloud!

Now, we didn'#t get wet with the last cloud and this one looked a bit smaller, so we didn't expect to get wet with this one!

Back home to a lazy day, well, OTL has been working but we have been relaxing under the desk!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

A Sunrise at last!

 Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

This morning we were up early 'cos we reckoned that there would be a good chance of a sunrise. You see, yesterday was all quiet as the sun went down and the clouds had all gone, leaving just blue sky plus the sunset looked all glowing and full of promise for today.

Holly and I couldn't wait to get under the curtain and have a look at the sky. As soon as we saw the glow on the horizon we woke Old Two Legs using the old 'Cold Nose' method and got him out of bed.

As normal, OTL decided to have a shower first, then clean his teeth and then look at the email that came in overnight!

So, we were just a tiny bit late in getting over to the old golf course, but when we did, this is what we found!

The Old Water Tower looked good.

OTL then pointed the camera up at the clouds and took this one, looks all sort of dreamy!

It was interesting to see the airplane trail across the sky over North Kent, mind you, it was high in the sky!

This one we tried to use the trees to 'Frame' the picture but it didn't work out too well!

So, being a clever old stick he got out the computer and cropped the photo but he had to loose some of the sky as well as the trees.

Next time he will have to get a bit closer so the trees move to the side!

Lets hope that there is another sunrise tomorrow and we came move the trees!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Another Tuesday in Sunny Kent!

 Hello Woofers!

We're back again! Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

It was late getting up today, Old Two Legs had one of his 'Action Man' dreams last night and dreamt he was fighting a JCB Digger with teeth!

It wasn't as though he had been on the whisky either!

Holly reckons he should get down to the vet and get a worming tablet, that should sort him out!

The Missus has been quiet today, just the occasional grumble when the ink goes all over the card!

You know I never would have thought that crafting could be so fraught!

Eric and Wendy really enjoy themselves chasing around the furniture. OTL has put a load of cardboard tubes of different sizes on the floor and they chase each other in and out of them, right up to the time when Wendy goes flying up one of the smaller tubes while Eric tries to get up the tube and gets stuck!

It's at that point Wendy comes running down the side of the tube, jumps on Erics tail and takes a bite of his tail and runs off 'Dooking'!

All this running around soon makes them tired and it's not long before the pair are cuddled up together under the Doggy Towel snoring their tails off!

Lunchtime we were down the seaside, not a cloud in the sky and the wind had dropped to gentle breeze.

  Not so dramatic today!

We did spot a couple of ships heading out to sea but other than that it was all quiet.

 An inshore carrier!

You know, I'll almost be glad when the winter winds come crashing in off the North Sea, it will certainly be a little more exciting especially if it is an on-shore wind!

While living down here in North Kent is all gentle like, it does get a little boring sometimes. I mean, there we are, looking at the weather man telling of high winds, snow on the mountains and flood warnings over the rest of the UK and what do we get?

Sunshine and showers!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
