New Woofers on the Horizon!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

It's been a busy sort of day today, Old Two Legs is trying to 'Fine Tune' the memory things he has been playing with and it has slowed everything down on the network.

We had The Missus complaining that the 'Catch Up' TV which comes via the 'Internutty Thingy' keeps 'Falling Over'!

Well, we have never seen it fall over before, we have seen OTL collapse on the arm chair but that was more to do with fighting the angels for the whisky!

Still, once he has finished messing about TM will settle down to her 'missed' TV and all will be right with the world!

Down on the beach today we watched a big ship set off for places unknown and when OTL showed us the picture I decided to feature it on the blog!

Not bad for an old duffer!
It wasn't really as dark as that but it has something to do with the camera looking at the sun!

Clever eh?

Before the ship set off we were watching it move away from the harbour, being pushed and pulled by a couple of tugs.

I'll be glad when Spring arrives!
May and Eric were playing the old 'Bag Game', you know, let's see if we can get back into the ferret bag and get a carry all the way back to the car!

They got a carry most of the way 'cos the grass was wet where it had been raining, so we had two wet an soggy ferrets!

Lunchtime came and OTL decided that as Fred and Wendy were so fast asleep and cuddled up together, they wouldn't like it if he was to drag them around the Sea Wall getting all wet and soggy, so they carried on snoozing leaving Holly and I to run around at our own speed!

Back home we got a phone call from Auntie Jane, now she has just decided to get another woofer and went to see some Poodle/Jack Russell cross breed woofers. There were three left and she had decided to have one but when she got there she decided that they were so sweet and lovely that she would have two of them instead.

Having two would mean that there would be one left on its own.

So she decided to have all three!

So, on the sixth of January she will be picking up, Alfie, Oscar and Louie!

Three Jack Doodles!

We can't wait to see them!

Freddy and Wendy were out playing this morning and OTL found them playing with TM's slippers, they were in the middle of removing the 'Insole' form one slipper, having removed the other insole and hidden it somewhere!

TM is now walking with a limp!

Right, I hear that dinner is about to be served, so we are off to eat it and be ready for mugging OTL when he gets his dinner!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

It's been a Lick an Stick Day!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

It is still a bit chilly down here on the North Kent Coast. In fact it was so chilly that Old Two Legs pulled the duvet up over his head and went back to sleep again and got up an hour later than normal!

Snoozy OTL!

When we went out for our walk we were all alone! Not another woofer in sight!

I think Miss May was feeling the cold 'cos she got OTL to pick her up and give her a cuddle almost all the way back to the car!

Eric was doing his 'sniff and hunt' trick but that gave May a longer cuddle in OTL's arms!

Down on the beach we came across a few Brent Geese splashing about just off the shore and of course Holly was taking a lot of interest!

I wonder if they taste like chicken?
Typical Holly, always thinking of her stomach!

Back home it was the normal 'Clearing Up' after the ferrets and pile of poo everywhere! OTL says that all ferrets are just cuddly poo machines!

Not that the ferrets care, they just love food!

Remind you of anyone?

Because we were up an hour later that means Fred and Wendy were still awake when it came to midday walkies time!

Mind you, when we got to the beach it took a little while to get them going!

Wendy said she rather fancied a carry but OTL reminded her that the idea of the walk was to give them some exercise!

Exercise? We get that running around the house!
This afternoon we have all been helping with the Christmas cards. The Missus has been making the cards and we have been helping seal up the envelopes. We used Holly's tongue to lick the glue 'cos she has a big long tongue!

The ferrets then roll across the back of the envelope to seal it and I then OTL put them through the stamping machine!

Organisation or wot?

After we finished Holly said that all that glue has given her a 'Grumbly Tum' and her tongue kept sticking to the roof of her mouth!

A good slurp of water managed to 'unstick' Holly's tongue!

Now because we have been working hard we reckon we should be allowed to have a peek inside the 'Christmas Box from Archie Babe but OTL says it will be put away until Christmas Morning!

Grrrrrrrrrrh!

We have heard that Mr Goodes has had a fun time getting up into London to get his sinuses seen to! Anyone who goes up to London by buss and train this time of the year must be very brave! You never know if the trains are running 'cos of the strike!

Never mind, claws crossed this end that he gets sorted out soon.

Mind you, I reckon if we get Wendy do a 'Windy Pop' that may clear his sinuses and his ear as well!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Data Shifting, Part II

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, things are progressing well this end of the world, the hot weather has passed by and now there is a slight chill in the air. Not that it worries us but it reminds us that December is normally six foot deep in snow and ice and howling blizzards.

OK, maybe I do exaggerate a little 'cos down here in North Kent if we get two snow flakes the trains stop running 'cos it is the 'Wrong Snow' and all the cars on the roads drive around in first gear and cause big traffic jams when the road is no worse than after a summer shower!

Well, that's wot Old Two Legs says and he spent most of his working life on the road as a Sales Rep, and you know what they say about that lot!

Now, Data Shifting. We have transferred all the data from one memory box that was showing signs of 'Problems' and it is all on a 2 Terror Bite memory box. This morning OTL installed a second, new, memory box with a 4 Terror Bite memory capacity. Now he is transferring the data from the 2TB box into the new 4TB box, so he has two memory backups!

Complicated? Yes but we think he knows wot he is doing!

Now, before he starts to hog the laptop again for this data transfer, we have managed to process some of the photo's we haven't been able to up load over the last three days!

Red Sky in the Morning is a Ferrets Warning!
When we go for a walk OTL carries the ferrets to the beach, which is the furthest we go, then he let's them walk or run back. Us woofers have to walk!

Just for a change I would like a carry to the beach!
By the time we get to the beach all our mates appear on the Sea Wall and of course the biggest, soppiest is Marley who just can't start the day until he has a tickle on the tum from OTL!

Hey OTL, I'm Coming!
By the time he gets his tickle all the others have caught up and off they go leaving the ferrets to play on the beach!

There's Marley Oscar, Max, Polly, Bryn and Beau, plus TL's!
Miss Wendy is always slow to start her walk but once she gets warmed up she is off like a rocket but Freddy still goes at his own speed!

Freddy just doesn't  do running like wot I do!
Of course, while we all wait for Freddy to get into gear Holly and I have a game of 'Dig and Whizz' which is always goof fun!

My Turn! My Turn! My Turn! My Turn!
Often we meat up with Barney II who recons that OTL gives the best 'Tail Tickle' and of course, just can't wait to get to him!

Come On! Gissa Tickle!
This morning, being Sunday, we were up just a little later than normal, so by the time we got to the beach the sun was up and flying, but OTL reckons it was still worth a shot!

Sunny or Wot?
We were on the beach when there was a little woof and who should turn up but Barney II again!

Come on OTL, Tickle Time!
Holly reckons that we should try to bottle OTL's tickles 'cos we would make a fortune!

Now, May and Eric have been getting to know each other ever since he moved in and slowly, bit by bit OTL has made Eric feel at home and also made May feel secure. You know, loads of cuddles for both and a separate bed for May in the early days.

Then the bed sort of 'Fell Off' the shelf so May couldn't use it so she had to sleep on the cushion near to Eric and so it progressed.

To give you an idea what is happening now, OTL took this picture this morning after they got back in the cage after their rampage around the house!

Makes you go all Aaaaaah!
So, there we are, all up to date and here comes OTL to do some more Data Transferring, so Bye Bye for now and we'll see you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A New Chair for OTL!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Would you believe that we are nearly finished transferring data?  We are down to the last two folders, 5,409 items and 6.79GB!

Mind you, this has transferred all the data from one unit to another that is acting as a storage until he installs the new memory unit. Still, once it is done that will stop him worrying about loosing data!

Just think of it, if one of these units goes down you could loose all the Blogger Photos and also all the other photos of us woofers!

Now what is this about sniffing like a pear? A Woofer should sniff like a Woofer, all earthy and grassy and muddy!

Miss May likes to roll on the grass while we are waiting for Eric finish his sniffs but I don't think even she would allow a pear sniff!

Now, do we have to start a truce with the postman? I mean, Postmen are for chasing down the garden path! Old Two Legs says that if we chase off the Postman then we could miss out on Christmas cards and Prezzies!

That is of course a load of rubbish 'cos Christmas Prezzies are delivered by Father Santa Paws!

OTL does get things mixed up sometimes!

OTL has/had a chair in the office that was looking past it's best, in fact the covering was getting all worn and falling apart. So, today, we headed off to the local Staples and he got a super new chair with arm rests and a headrest! Now, if it is too comfortable he is going to keep falling asleep and then there will be no work done and we may even miss out on our walks!

Young Eric has stayed well away from Wendy today and other than a passing sniff, he did all his rampaging down stairs in the Ping Pong Ball Crate!

Eric has just learnt the first lesson..........Wimmin Rool!

See you all tomorrow when with a bit of luck, we can get back onto the laptop!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Still moving data!

Hello Woofers!

We are back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Would you believe it? We are still moving data from one place to another! Mostly pictures but so far we have shifted 29,433 items!

We never knew he had taken so many!

Young Eric got himself into trouble this morning, big time!

After we got back from our morning walk, Old Two Legs started to clean the cages out. He opened the door and let Eric and May out for a rampage around the house, as normal.

Then for some unknown reason he opened the door to Fred and Wendy's cage and changed the water bowl.

Next thing OTL hears is Wendy and Eric screaming!

There was Wendy, teeth clamped around the side of Eric's neck, giving him the old Ferret Death Roll!

In went OTL and managed to get them apart. Wendy was in 'Super Kill' mode while Eric was shaking with fright!

Poor lad, he has never been in a dispute over territory before and all he wanted was a sniff in the cage but instead got a furious ball of fluff and teeth intent on making sure he never forgets whose cage this was!

It took OTL a good ten minutes to calm Eric down and stop him from shaking!

Me thinks a lesson has been learnt!

OTL will only open one cage at a time in future!

Strange isn't it, it is May and Wendy that show aggression but the lads only want a quiet life!

OTL has been working hard today getting last minute orders shifted. Why is it that the customers always leave it to the last minute to order something and then expect you to (a) have it in stock, (b) expect to to drop everything and re-engineer it just for them and (c) get it down to the carrier today for delivery tomorrow morning?

I've never really understood Two Legs!

Hey! Now, what's all this about getting washed and having to wear a Christmas costume? Us woofer have standards to keep you know!

Mind you, OTL has us booked in the Poodle Parlour on the 23rd December! It had just better be a mild Christmas or there will be deep trouble!

The laptop that is controlling the data movement is saying that there is 81.9GB to go and it will take nine hours!

That means we can't do the other five folders before two thirty tomorrow morning!

OTL can stay up if he wants but we are off to bed !

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret (with a sore neck).

It's the Dentist Man Again!

Yo Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Fun time here!

We were up early today 'cos The Missus wanted to use the little car to go out shopping. We tried very hard and got out before the sun came up and we expected to get the ferrets to wee a bit quicker and speed up the sniffing as well!

No chance!

It seemed that every dog we know and a few we don't know, they were all out this morning earlier than normal!

Old Two Legs was picking up and putting down the ferrets all along the path and of course, we just had to stop and say 'Good Morning' to all the woofers and their Two Legs!

Finally we got home to see TM standing there with her arms folded, her foot tapping and her making a 'Tutting' sound!

We all blamed OTL and then scarpered off to the office to keep out of the way!

Once TM had gone OTL had a super game with all the ferrets, Miss Wendy shoved the box of ferret food off the office desk then rushed down the plastic tube so she could start eating it.

Freddy heard all the noise and was there in a flash, well Freddy and food are very much like Holly and food, they sort of go together!

TM got back in time for our afternoon walk but we couldn't hang around 'cos OTL had to visit the dentist to get his bridge re installed!

He has only just got back and he now has a mouth full of re-engineered plastic teeth!

He has got to wait for three months before he can get the real bridge installed and the vet says it will be made of metal!

Holly says we will have to call him 'Old Tin Chops' instead of Two Legs!

Sorry there are no pictures today, you see OTL is moving loads of files from one memory stack to another and doesn't want to overload the laptop!

That means we have to use the 'Office Computer' which doesn't have any photo processing programs!

You will have to wait until tomorrow!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

.....and it came from the Canary Islands!

Hi Woofers!

We're back! Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Wot a change from yesterday! It is almost 'Balmy Weather! It got up to 13.3 degrees today! If the tide was in I'd be looking for a swim today!

Mind you, I didn't fancy a swim in the mud, so I stayed away from the muddy bits!

Although it was warmish, there were a surprising large number of clouds in the sky, even blocking out the sun!

Swim Suit or sun hat today?
Miss May was having a great time digging for Weasels on the beach. Eric was more interested in getting back into the ferret bag, he said that during the winter time the only place to be is the bag!

Im sure there are Weasels down here somewhere!
Back home young Eric had a great time diving into the crate full of Ping Pong balls! Old Two Legs did sort of get him wound up 'cos he squeezed all the air out of a rubber ball, hid it at the bottom of the crate and let the air back into the ball, which made a squeaky sound and had Eric diving down to the bottom of the balls!

We didn't get out at lunchtime until a bit later 'cos OTL had to drop a load of stuff off to the accountant, really boring stuff that has come out of the printer machine!

This winter stuff is really strange, like, here we were, just about half way through the afternoon and the sky was getting darker!

It's Winter time that is doing all this!
Freddy reckons that the days are shorter but the nights are longer but that is OK by him 'cos it means he has more time to sleep!

When he does wake up though, he has a run around hunting stuff! Today on the grass he was chasing a shrew sniff but as you know, shrews are terribly quick if they thing they are being chased!

Any one see where the shrew went?
While Holly and I were waiting for the ferrets to catch up, we spotted a couple of Yorkie Type woofer in the distance. Holly said that one of them was smaller than Eric!

Now that would be terrible to be smaller than a ferret!

I'm telling you, it is smaller than Eric!
Both ferrets managed to blag a lift in the ferret bag. We think that OTL just got fed up waiting for them to catch up!

Once we got to the table and bench on the hill, OTL sat down, got the camera out and waited for Wendy and Fred to stick their noses out.

Are we? Oh! I see we are not!
Freddy didn't come right out of the bag, he just stuck his nose near to the entrance and declared......

No! We're a long way away from the car so I'm going back in!

In fact, he never got out of the bag until OTL emptied him and Wendy out once we got close to the car so in the end they got a chance to run back to the car!

We have managed to get our first holiday booked for next year! Yep, we got booked into a caravan site in Carradale on the Mull of Kintire that has a beach next to it so we can have fun swimming and digging holes!

We will have to pay a bit extra 'cos they charge for 'Second Dogs', one is free but the second is a pound a day!

Good news is, they don't charge for ferrets!

OTL has also sent off a booking form for our second holiday as well. We plan to go to Dorset 'cos The Missus wants to go 'Fossel Hunting' along the Jurassic Coast!

Holly says that if she wants to see a fossil she should have a look at OTL 'cos he is the best fossil we know!

Now, you can bet that for her birthday, TM will want a Fossil Hunters Kit that will include a Rock Hammer and a Rock Chisel!

Still, we might find a dinosaur in the caravan site and then we will get to name it.........mmmm!

What about 'Old Two Leggosaurus' ?

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

No Fog Horns Today!

Yo Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Old Two Legs has discovered a medical break through regarding his 'Problem'!

Now, every so often OTL gets what he calls Ocular Migraine, which makes him see a kaleidoscope of funny shapes in the form of a circle in his eye. Normally a couple of Paracetamol tablets puts him right and the Migraine goes away after a while.

Now he hasn't had one of these attacks ever since he had his cataracts sorted out last year.

Today, while he was clearing May and Eric's cage out, May decided to 'Raid' Fred and Wendy's cage and start a punch up through the bars of the cage with Miss Wendy.

So, there was Wendy on the top shelf in the cage with the bars above her and a ferret bag on top of that with Miss May on top of it all scratching at the bag so she can get nearer to Wendy for a Punch Up!

OTL gets up from his chair and goes to tell May off for starting a fight when Wendy, backs up to the cage wall, just where OTL's nose is level with the cage, lifts her tail and lets off a gigantic 'Ferret Fear Fart', straight towards OTL's nose.............POW!

Poor OTL staggers back shaking his head and blinking his eyes!

Piggin Ell! Quotes OTL, or something very similar!

Ooops! Says Wendy, sorry about that!

Strewth! Says May sitting down on her tail and going cross eyed!

It was then that OTL noticed that his Ocular Migraine was fading fast and he could see!

Now, all we got to do is work out how to bottle 'Wendy's Windy Pops' and we'll make a fortune!

Talking of Wendy, when OTL goes hunting for the ferrets to put them to bed he keeps finding socks tucked under the furniture. We have all been watching each other to find out who it is but so far the culprit has been very sneaky!

Until today.

Miss Wendy trying to make off with OTL's gloves!
Caught in the act!

There are no other pictures today 'cos it has been very foggy down here. It has been so foggy that the Sheerness Fog Horn didn't even bother to sound off.

Maybe he has heard about Wendy's Windy Pops!

Tomorrow we should get rid of the fog, with luck and OTL can play with his camera!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

It's been a 'Late' Day' today!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Sorry we are late in blogging today, but blame it on Old Two Legs and The Missus!

We were all late in getting up today, TM didn't start banging pots and pans about until just after five thirty when she normally starts at ten to five!

Well, that means we didn't wake OTL up by licking his ear until six fifteen!

Mind you, we still got out before the sun got up!

Just out of the village OTL stopped by the side of the road to take this picture.

All sort of misty and ethereal!
We got down to the beach before the sun got up and we were able to watch Mr Sun creep up over Sheerness!

Good Morning Mr Sun!
Holly was looking down the Sea Wall 'cos she reckons she can hear woofing in the far distance and she reckons it is Bert chasing after the rabbits again!

Who is that woofing?
It's strange how as the sun climbs up into the sky, OTL's camera makes the sky and sea much darker than it really was, still, it looks OK now we can see it on the screen!

Red Sky in the Morning, a Ferrets Warning!
Just before lunch TM and OTL headed off to do some serious shopping, well, TM was and OTL had to carry it all back to the car!

That caused us to be late going out for our midday walk! By then the sun was sinking into the west and doing a sunrise in reverse!

Yellow sky at night means the Ferret's Just Right!
Mind you, both Fred and Wendy were dragging their tails a bit, that was because of the sniffs!

That grass that had been cut is still on the ground and contains a large amount of Weasel Wee, according to Freddy!

Just like us woofers, they have to investigate every sniff!

Oooo! This is a good sniff!
Of course, that means Holly and I have to wait for them, as Holly says, 'This can be a bit Boring'!

It is amazing just how much Weasel Wee can be found in this grass!
OTL has come back with a new remote storage unit that is twice as big as his existing one.

Twice as big in memory, not physical size!

So, now all he has to do is install it!

That means he has to read the instructions!

This will be fun!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Lazy Day Today!

Hello Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Sunday is a quiet day here in this household!

Old Two Legs has been playing with the email accounts trying to get them to talk to each other and get 'Washed' before they arrives at the computer proper. It is supposed to help prevent all those nasty things that mess your computer up and steal your passwords and stuff!

Holly and I have been keeping him company, well we have been snoozing at his feet!

A Snoozing Holly Chops!
Holly was next to the ferret cage that holds Fred and Wendy and Holly keeps getting woken up when the come down for a wee!

My bed is under the desk and it is out of the way of ferrets and drafts!

A Very Comfortable Daisy Dog!
Mind you, that was only after our walk on the beach this morning. he sun was creeping over Sheerness but OTL spotted a brave Wormy Man out on the mud digging for worms!

We'll do our digging on the beach thanks!
May and Eric said it was rather cold in the wind and kept trying to get into the ferret bag! OTL relented a few times 'cos he was getting cold waiting for Eric to finish off his sniffing for Weasel Wee!

Once back home and after the cage cleaning OTL got out the 'Holiday Cage' that has recently arrived. It's a couple of collapsible plastic material things that you could use to contain a mini two legs or a couple of small woofers.

No! Don't get any ideas!

May and Eric had a play in it and decided that it needs some toys and a bed in it before they will use it again!

OTL had some extra play time with Fred and Wendy to make up for yesterday and he managed to wear them out! Freddy was going potty in the bathroom whizzing around on his back while OTL tickled his tummy!

Wendy was having a great time hiding nibbles of food around the house but Freddy was following behind her and eating the stash!

After our morning snooze we headed out for our lunchtime walk.

So, there we were, Holly and I, Wendy and Freddy de Ferret heading down to the beach for a dig in the sand and what did we see?

What the Woofing Heck!
There were loads of fishermen all dressed up in warm clothes and standing next to their fishing rods that were loaded with lead lumps and skewered worms!

It seemed like we had got a contest today!

Mind you, we have had this thing before and no one ever catches anything, except a cold!

We were going onto the beach but OTL said that there would be loads of hooks and lead weights flying about and that it would be too dangerous!

Another five minutes until the start!
There was one who couldn't wait and he ran down to the waters edge to throw his lead weight in the water before anyone else!

Cheat! Cheat! Cheat!
We didn't hang about 'cos the wind was getting up and both Fred and Wendy wanted to get back to the car!

Back home we got a chew each, Holly and me that is, and we headed off to our snoozing spots!

Not sure what is for dinner tonight but we will be offering to help OTL 'cos his temporary bridge has fallen out again!

Holly reckons that he should just leave it as it is and let him remain ugly every time he smiles!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
