Eric on the beach again.

 Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, it's been yet another sunny summer day. All this warm weather only makes me miss the Spring Holiday and look forward to the Autumn Holiday, strolling on the beach, woofing at the sea gulls and digging up sand castles!

Providing the weather is warm enough, I will get to have a swim in the river! Holly may even get her paws wet!

Then, if we are lucky, there will be the odd rabbit to chase around the camp site and Old Two Legs will be chasing us!

Until then, we still have the Grain beach!

Mind you, there seems to be more shells than sand!

Getting up the stairs is always fun for Eric and he does enjoy running along the concrete path 'cos he manages to trim his claws!

Eric reckons it's better than nail clippers or a nail file!

We were sent a picture of Rosie with a card she had made after following a video The Missus had produced.

We reckon it looks dead smart and as good as the ones TM produces! Only one thing, Wendy is missing seeing Rosie. When they have the Village Hall bash Wendy gets a cuddle from Rosie but since this Covid Thingy we haven't seen anyone and you can't really have a cuddle on the computer!

Aunty Christina sent us an email with the picture of a woofer in a TV Advert that she reckons looks like me!

I mean, have you seen the way that woofer walks? It looks like he has poo'd his pants!

Have a look! Not Daisy!

We managed to get away with the wash and shave, wonder if Archie Babe got his butt squeezed and washed?

See you tomorrow!

 Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

Warm and snoozy!

Hi Woofers.

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here again.

Well, it's been another warm and sunny day and nothing much has been going on.

Miss Wendy decided that bed was better than walkies, so, she stayed tucked up in bed while Eric came out with us around the football field and again at lunch time as we investigated the sea weed on the beach.
Once we got back Old Two Legs had to go out again, to get some 'Dog Shampoo'. I didn't like the sound of that. It smacks of washing, drying and being shaved under the tail!

I can see us ending up with bald butts before too long!

Mind you, while he was in there he also got a small pack of rawhide chews and a pack of 100 poo bags!

There is no stopping him when he gets going!

The computer has been going all funny, like we can type what we want to say then look up and find that the letters are a sentence or so behind, very strange.

I think OTL will have to do the old 'Reboot' to see if that clears it.

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here.

Well, it's been another one of those boring and do nothing type of days.

We took Wendy out this morning and she was running all over the place with her tail sticking up in the air!

When we got back home there was Eric, showing off because he wasn't taken out.

There are times when he really shows off!

You know, today he was showing off big time.

Eric has a squeaky chicken which he loves to bits and he also has a green squeaky ball that once activated (Squeezed) will entice him from any hidey hole he might have crawled into to have a snooze.

Not today, Old Two Legs was squeezing both chicken and ball but there was no sign of Eric anywhere!

That could only mean one of two things, 1. He has fallen into the dustbin in OTL's office or 2. he is hiding in the workings of the sofa and refusing to come out!

Well, it was number two!

Lunchtime he refused to get out of bed so we left him to sulk and Holly and I headed off to the beach!

Come on, the beach is this way!
It wasn't exactly blue skies and baking hot but rather just warm and pleasant. The Wild Sweet Peas were in full bloom and looking all bright and flowery!

Now, don't that just look pretty?

There were some other white flowers that, mixed together with the Sweet Peas, Daises and green grass, looked very pretty!

There were a number of telephone calls today, all for The Missus, nothing for OTL at all!

It's what OTL calls, 'A Slow Day' so we will pack up early today and stick a couple of DVD's on and have a relaxing evening, for a change!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Sunshine and Ferrets!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

The weather seems to be picking up again, it was mild first thing this morning when we went out. Miss Wendy had decided she would come with us and Eric was showing off big time!

After Old Two Legs takes us out, he gets back home to a barrage of questions regarding our walk. The most prominent question is 'Good Poo's?'

Well, this morning the answer is 'Yes, All Three! And all in one poo bag'.

OTL reckons it is a result if he can get everything into one poo bag!

Lunchtime Eric nearly missed the walk 'cos he fell asleep in the top bed but to wake him up OTL squeezed the green rubber ball that Eric loves and will get him to come out of any hidey hole!

Once we got down to the beach Eric had some fun digging in the sand and even chased me away from a sniff!

No, it's a Ferret Sniff!
I decided to leave him to it and went off for a dip in the water. There was a load of sea weed being washed up onto the beach which was fun diving through and coming out covered in green weed!

I'll look like Neptune when I come out!
What was more fun was to dive in, get covered in weed the have a roll in the sand to dry off before going into the water again!

Of course, when OTL started to call me to get out I just didn't hear him 'cos I had got sea weed in my ears!

There is nothing like a good roll in the sand

Tomorrow it should be warmer so with a bit of luck I'll be in doing some more swimming in the weed!

The Missus is doing some 'Filing' of stamps and stuff for her card making and has decided to have a break until Wednesday which means we can all make a noise running around the house chasing each other without being told off!

We like the idea of Archie Babe's TL lurking in the alley way with a bag of poo waiting waiting to descend on the phantom machine and his TL!

I'd be too scared to have a poo for weeks if she lived around here!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

F1 Brmmm, Brmmm!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here again.

Old Two Legs had been plonking away all day on the computer and in the end it was just too late to do the diary and steam was coming out of the computer!

Never mind, we are back today!

Eric came out with us this morning and had great fun sniffing all over the football field. Then there was the Ferret Rampage around the house! OTL had put the plastic tray full of water into the shower cubical and filled it full of cold water then floated the rubber duck, two squeaky rubber balls and three ping pong balls!

Miss Wendy didn't bother with it and just carried on pinching the Brambles Biscuits and Milk!

Eric, on the other paw, was jumping in and out of the water, 'rescuing' the rubber duck and the squeaky balls!

Needless to say, there were puddles all over the place!

Lunchtime we left them tucked up in bed and headed off to the beach for a little paddle!

OK, where is the water?
Holly was away having a sniff but when she heard my comment regarding the water, she came bounding up expecting me to be at the wrong end of a telling off for diving into the water!

Go on, tell her off!
Well, I wasn't being told off 'cos I was looking at all the fishermen teaching the worms to swim and a little speed boat was charging up and down the beach chasing the fish away!

Those fishermen don't look too happy!

A bit further along the path we met up with three sheep dog looking a bit damp. Holly asked if they would take me down to the beach but by then their Two Legs had reached us and called them to follow her!

Sorry, can't stop, she is calling!
One this we did notice was a super sniff on the air, we sat there with our noses in the vertical position and Holly said, very slowly.......Mmmmmmmm KEBABS!

A sweet sniff of Kebab!

Once we got back home there was just time to sort out lunch and sit down to watch the F1 racing. It was a good race and ended up in an exciting race to the finishing line with a puncture in the front tyre but the strange thing was it was not the only tyre to go pop!

Now, next week there is another race at Silverstone and we are wondering what tyres are going to be used?

Pop!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Eye Eye, now it's TM's turn!

Hi Woofers.

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret again!

We heard some sad news this morning, remember Ozzie who collapsed when he was out for his morning stroll? He was the one Old Two Legs helped carry home in one of our blankets?

Well, last week Ozzie went out in the garden, lay down on the path and didn't wake up. Poor lad, it looks like his lung infection got him in the end. He was a lovely fella, always said hello to OTL and was a gentle woofer to Holly and I when ever we met him.

Miss Wendy came out with us this morning but when lunchtime came Eric decided it was just too hot for walkies. Maybe tomorrow when the temperature is set to plunge ten degrees!

OTL took his big camera and the 105mm close up lens. The Dragonflies were too fast and just too high to get a good shot so we had to make do with chasing butterflies instead!

Just stopped for a breather!
When we got to the beach there was another of those rig things parked up off Sheerness Docks. We had a look at the Marine Traffic program and discovered that it was called Ran. Well, that's what it said on the computer program!

Well, it's registered in Iran and called Ran!
We stopped for a while on the bench to take a look at the rigs, maybe they both have some sort of maintenance plans!

After we got fed up with looking at them we headed off towards home. Both Holly and I were getting hot and in need of a drink.

OTL stopped when he saw a Buff Tailed Bumblebee but it wouldn't stand still while OTL was clicking away with the camera.

Look, there is my Buff Tail, photograph that if you want!
Back home The Missus had been on the phone to the optometrists about her ocular migraine. There was loads of rushing around cos they didn't know if it could be a detached retina.

So, an appointment was made with the same optometrists that OTL uses and it was OTL's job to drive her there and back cos she had to have drops in her eyes.

Well, in the end and after an hours consultation, it was decided that it was a migraine and her eyes were good for her age!

OTL was pleased about that cos can you imagine what it would be like if she couldn't do all her glue slapping?

OTL said it was also good news that Holly and I wouldn't have to be trained up as guide dogs!

I'd make a good guide dog, providing she wanted to go the way I wanted to go!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Eyeball to Eyeball with a Ferret!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Another super sunny day! We were out with Wendy first thing this morning and just didn't Eric show off! He was rattling the cage door trying to rip it off the hinges. He was showing off big time!

Eric has got it into his head that as Wendy is getting on in years, she should stay in bed and let him go out walkies with us!

No way! He will just have to wait his turn! He was not a Happy Ferret! He threw all his toys around the cage, kicked the water bowl around and spilt water all over the place!

Of course, come lunchtime he was so worn out showing off that he fell asleep and very nearly got left behind!

The Lilly Flowers in the pond can't make up their mind what to do. One day the blooms are wide open and other times they sort of stop just after they get out of bed!

No, I don't think I'll get up yet!

Mind you, the water jug keeps going, as long as the sun shines!

If only it were whisky, OTL would be a Happy Bunny!

Come lunchtime we were down the beach again and were it not for the woofing Holly did at the postman, Eric might have been left behind!

Of course, the first family of Two Legs we spotted wanted to talk about Eric and give him a stroke!

After we stroke him can he play with our dog?

Holly went wandering up the beach muttering something about 'No Nibbles, No Strokes and if they touch Eric I'll bite his butt!'

I stayed behind to investigate a sniff only to find Eric had decided he wanted the sniff as well, we ended up almost Eyeball to Eyeball over the sniff!

I sniffed it first so it's Mine!

In the end I decided to let him have the sniff cos' Holly had found one further up the beach that was not only good for sniffing, it was great for rolling in!

Oh go on then, you have it!

This afternoon has been all snoozy, just what we need!

Tomorrow is the end of the month, so Old Two Legs will be hammering away on the computer and sending all those invoices and keeping his fingers crossed that he gets paid!

Bye, bye for now.

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret

You just can't trust a Ferret!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Another fine and sunny day here here in North Kent, Wendy came out with us first thing and had a great time tearing across the football field while Holly and I went into 'sniff mode'!

Old Two Legs has been busy on the computer again, dead boring especially when you want to go out and have a rampage around the garden!

You know, it was so exciting that I could hardly contain myself!

Exciting or Wot!
Eric got himself in trouble, again.

He loves ferreting around in the office and of course, if there is a sniff to sniff, he'll be there sniffing like mad

Now I wonder what's in this thing?
Using the gap in the bin lid I can sniff something very interesting!

It sniffs like Ferret Munchies!
Then he tries the lid, just to see what would happen if he pokes it with his paw!

Boom! Boom! Boom goes the lid!
Well, you know what happens when you keep pounding on the lid with your paw?

Summat's got to give!
Then in he goes sniffing all the ferret sniffs!

That's our Eric, any sign of a sniff and he's there!

So far today he has got into that bin five times, so, if ever we can't find him, the bin is the first place to look!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

OTL's working again!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, it's been a right proper mix up of a day today.

Yesterday Old Two Legs was loading up the back of the big car with tools and bits of stuff. Then he shut it all up and locked the doors! We thought it was a bit of a late Spring Clean Up in his tool box. Well, that was until he shut us in the bedroom after our morning walk, let the ferrets out to rampage and then he was off and away into the distance.

Now, you know how much Holly and I want to be close to OTL when he is working at home and how much we miss him when he goes away, well, it's even worse when he sneaks off like wot he did this morning. I will admit, I was snivelling all the time he was out and it didn't help to have Holly next to me whining as well!

We got taken out at lunchtime by The Missus but it wasn't the same and you know what? We didn't even bother to hunt out the sniff!

Mid afternoon Holly and I were wondering just where he had gone when this big car pulled up onto the drive.

He's Back!!!!!!!

Well, both Holly and I went potty! We were running up and down the stairs, across the backs of the sofa and armchairs, up the stairs again, around the bed then run around waking the ferrets up!

We thought that TM would have been pleased to see him but she was on the Internetty Thingy with her mates, making cards!

Mind you, she did him a late lunch, well, a ham roll and a pack of Rennies cos the rolls were still warm!

Poor OTL, all that hard work and all he gets is indigestion!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Maybe TL should see a vet?

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Archie Babes Two Legs has got a tooth ache and from wot I've heard, she can't get into the dentist until half way through August! Now, that's just not right! I mean, you can get into the TL's hospital on an emergence basis and get an extraction done, nothing else just pull it out. I suppose that if you are in pain then that's the way to go.

Now.

If you were a woofer, you could phone up the vet and get an appointment the same day and get booked in for some knockout drops and the tooth pulled on the day or next day. Mind you you need to have deep pockets, those vets don't come cheap but it would be a novel thing to ask the vet to pull your tooth!

The only thing is, the vet might want you to have some worming tablets as well!

Talking of that, Old Two Legs has got to have some laser treatment on his eye. He had some work done on his other eye a couple of years ago. It took a whole year to get an appointment with the hospital and when he arrived, the whole process took about fifteen minutes! Makes you wonder why there is such a long queue!

This time he says he will have to pay to get it done but the eye clinic is not doing any laser treatment because of the Covid thingy and he has been told to call back mid September, just after our holiday!

Seems money can't buy you everything!

This morning Miss Wendy came out with us for a walk and she chased Holly back to the Poo Bin by the garages!

Eric was a bit put out but come lunchtime he was up and rattling the cage door demanding a walk!

As normal, he decided to have a cuddle in OTL's arms until we got to the beach, then he was down and ferreting all over the beach and I got to have a good roll in the sea weed!

Is there a Woofer up there?
Eric had fun digging in the sand and then headed off to the steps up to the path that leads to the hill top.

Any Woofers here?
He always stops at the top of the stairs to check if there was any woofers on the path, then, if clear, off he would go chasing Holly all the way back to the car!

OK Holly, here I come!
We got tied up to the leads again as soon as we got near the sniff spot. Just how long will it take before he forgets about the sniff?

We were sitting down to lunch when The Missus squeaks out that there is a dead bird in the garden. OK, we'll put it in the rubbish bin after lunch.

Then she says, 'it's moving but I think it's terminal'!

OK, we'll put it in the rubbish bin after lunch.

Then she goes out to see it and says, 'it's alive but it only got one leg and it's head is on the ground.

OK, we'll put it out of it's misery and put it in the rubbish bin after lunch.

So, after lunch OTL gets three sheets of kitchen towel and heads off to the shed to get his hand axe to send baby sparrow to the Rainbow Bridge.

Only thing is, OTL can't see any blood or damage to the bird and when he picks it up, the bird squeaks and waves both legs at OTL. That means OTL must put the bird back on the ground and see if mummy comes down to see what's going on with junior.

Holly is all for going out and chewing the tail off the sparrow but TM insists that Holly is NOT going out in the garden.

About an hour and a half later we look out to find that the sparrow had gone! Maybe it flew off or has gone into the undergrowth or mummy has come down to lead him off to a place of safety!

You know, it's all go in our garden!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
