We go hunting Brass Monkeys!

Hi Woofers!

We hope you are keeping warm!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May,, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret are here again!

Well, here is a 'First' for us, the village has been cut off from the world due to large piles of snow.

Old Two Legs said it happened before, in 1988, thirty years ago and we were described as the 'Beleaguered Village of Allhallows'!

Well, we ain't beleaguered yet, but it's getting close!

We have kept to having a walk in the local fields but the wind gets to blow straight in off the sea and when the cold wind, plus the snow and the freezing temperature combine, it's blooming cold!

It's just too cold!
We had a run down to the bottom of the field and a race back! Of course we beat OTL all the way back home even after Holly stopped at the Poo Bin for a wee!

You know, I would wee in the bin if I could get my leg up high enough!
Back home we were dumped into the kitchen sink and washed down with warm water to get the snowballs off our legs and tummy!

The laptop has a program that keeps a watch for 'Nasties' that could damage the machine and this morning the warning light came on and OTL had to do a complete scan of all his hard drives! Well, that took all of the morning to do and he had to work on just one computer rather than two!

He was telling us about a brass monkey set he had inherited from his father. It's three monkeys sitting together. One has it's hands over it's ears, the next hands are covering it's eyes and the last has it's hands over it's mouth.

OTL says that it is supposed to say, 'Hear no Evil, See no Evil and Say no Evil'. Well, holly and I laughed our tails off when OTL said that with the weather we are having it could be 'What was That? I can't Look and OMG, They've dropped off'!

Lunchtime we were still laughing as we headed off down the field again, sniffin' to see if we could spot any Monkey Bits!

No, that's yellow snow not Brass Bits!
I just couldn't resist a roll in the snow even though I had my Flying Jacket on!

You don't get to do this very often!
All this snow once every thirty years is enough really! Roll on Summer and a splash in the sea!

A look across the golf course!
Holly did her trick of finishing her wee and deciding that home is the place she wants to be!

I'm all wee'd out and in need of 'De-Snowballing'!
That was it, back home to a warm paddle and off to bed for a snooze!

So, we didn't find any Monkey Bits but maybe tomorrow 'cos the snow should still be here for a few days. The Missus has cancelled the Master Class this weekend but plans to do it again later this month.

Now, we are off to see what OTL has for dinner!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May,, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Another Snowy Day!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Now, just as a change, we will start off with a Woofer that has struck lucky. You see he has a thing about buttons, yeah, it's a bird thing!

He is lucky that he has a load of Crafty Ladies who sent him some extra buttons into his storage bowl!

This saves him from trying to eat the iPlod!

Rocky and his Buttons!
Another Woofer that gets lucky is Eric, he can find a Ferretone bottle before anyone else! That gets him a slurp all on his own!

Licky, Licky, Slurp Slurp!
Over night there was some more snow so a trip down to the sea side was put on hold and instead we headed over to the football field behind our house.

It was great running through the sow and we ended up with snowballs on our legs again!

Holly getting a gallop on!
It was still misty all over the farm field and Holly reckoned she sniffed a rabbit and we were off like Puppy Powered Rockets!

Chaaaaaaaaarge!
After a sniff across the field we saw that the sun was coming over the mist, not the best sunrise but at least it was different to Sheerness!

Not wot we would call 'Spectacular'!
We hung about a little and there was more sun and when it finally got over the mist it was still rather dull!

Almost looks like two suns!
Back home we were dumped into the kitchen sink and the snowballs were washed off using warm water!

Lunchtime we were back out across the football field and luckily there had not been any more snow falling so we got to run on last nights snow!

The only problem was the wind, it had blown all the paw prints away! There were no Two Leg prints either!

We had a quick wee and headed back home again, got washed and sploshed in the kitchen sink again and the snowballs melted away.

A quick rub down with a Doggy Towel and a roll on the bed and we were back to normal again!

I'm not sure what's for dinner tonight but you can be sure OTL has salad!

He has reduced his weight by 5kg, I don't know if that is good but we have to make sure he doesn't put it back on, so, any meat we share with him and his cheese and biscuits are split 50/50 as well.

Well, we have to help him!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Here Comes the Dandruff!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back with you again!

Well, it has started, the snow I mean, there was a light dusting overnight which didn't stop us from going out for our morning stroll along sea front.

Hey! I sniff Pussy Cat!
One good thing about the snow was you could see who had been out before you, like, there was just one Two Leg track with a woofer walking by the side. After that it was us!

No, I don't think that the yellow snow is normal!
You know, it was great fun running across the snow and kicking up a blizzard behind us!

Wheeeeeeeeee!
The tide was on its way in and so was the snow. We could see it on the horizon sort of floating in our direction so we decided to take a short cut and head back to the car!

Come on, the short cut is up here!
We got home to a bowl of Doggy Scoff, YUCKY, YUCKY, YUK, YUK!

Mind you, we did get a couple of chicken bits that The Missus had dehydrated the other day. You know, they are a tasty bit of stuff! Freddy just can't get enough of them and will sit in OTL's arms nibbling away at one while OTL holds it for him!

Miss Wendy hides hers but she is not very good at hiding 'cos Freddy soon finds it, if he wakes up and fancies a nibble that is!

Funnily enough, Eric is not too taken with the chicken and he leaves it alone, which means Miss May gets her Chicken Bit and can hide it, find it again and eat it all without Eric getting a nibble!

OTL did some work and we had a snooze and half way through the morning some more snow landed and we all decided that at lunchtime we would just have a run around the football field at the back of us!

Ooooops! Some more!
Instead of his big boots, OTL decided he would put his wellies on for the lunchtime stroll and soon we were jumping and running around in the snow again!

Can't catch me!
Of course, I just couldn't resist a really good roll in the snow!

I could do this every day!
We went down the side of the field and found some more yellow snow and then made some of our own!

OTL wouldn't let us roll in the yellow snow so Holly and I managed to make loads of snowballs and get them stuck to our legs which made us walk like we had pooed our pants!

More snowballs!
When we finally got home TM and OTL had to use warm water and bits of towel to get all the snowballs our of our fur and in the end OTL said his back was hurting so he picked me up and plonked me in the sink and washed me down with warm water!

It was almost like having a bath before getting a haircut!

No, don't mention that he may get ideas!

Poor Archie Babe has got that today, I do hope it's not snowing where he is, it will be freezing for him!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Just a Flurry or Two!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again! Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Well, it's all back to normal in our kennel, last night we were all fighting for a spot on the bed. The Missus was first in bed so she got to wrap the duvet around her and prevent us from pulling it over to Old Two Legs side so we could share!

A bit later, TM said she was 'Too Hot' and relaxed her grip, well we were in like a shot and managed to regain a little more duvet!

Holly had spent yesterday evening cuddled up on OTL's lap and in bed she still was cuddled up to him. I think she missed OTL more than she will admit!

This morning it was our flying jackets 'cos there was a nasty cold blast coming in from the East and there was a few snow flurries blowing in as we walked along the sea front!

We could see the precipitation coming in from off the sea so we didn't hang about, a quick wee and a poo and back to the car!

There is is, precipitation!
When we got back home the sun was trying to climb up over the clouds but unfortunately, there was more cloud than sun!

Just a little sun!
The ferrets were pleased OTL was back, you could tell that 'cos they kept on jumping up on his lap and licking his nose!

Don't you just hate it when they are so sneaky?

Lunchtime there were a few more flurries but nothing settled for long and the only bit of excitement was when TM decided to break the ice in the pond, Holly had a tenner on her slipping into the pond but she managed to keep dry!

It was dry down on the football field and most of the sniffs were frozen solid!

This one is so cold it don't sniff!
The tide had almost gone all the way out but you could still see the white horses being blown about all over the place!

It will be even colder when it comes back in!
The wind has been relentless, coming in off the sea it picks up the damp, cold icy blasts all the way from Russia. Holly was right to say that they can just take it all back, we'll have some warmer weather from Africa!

The weather man says that it may happen by the end of the week, we have our claws crossed!

That wind certainly blows yer tail sideways!
We were glad to get back in the warm and the ferrets didn't even wake up! They've been snoozing for almost all the day!

One good thing we have noticed, all the roads have been sprinkled with salt, so, well done to the council, they got it right this time, normally they wait until the snow is melting before spreading the salt!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

He's Back!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again, at last!

Well, panic over, we haven't fallen off the edge of the world or lost our way or been captured by pirates!

You see, Old Two Legs and his cousin Alun went off to some meeting over the weekend and he took the laptop with him so there we were, stuck with no way of doing the blog!

It was mid afternoon when he finally turned up and got himself set upon by two woofin' woofers!

That will teach him to stay at home!

We couldn't take any photos 'cos OTL had taken the camera away with him!

Still, as soon as he had put all his dirty washing on the bin we dragged him off to the sea side. It was FREEZING!

I mean, it was cold this morning and lunchtime it seemed just as cold but at least the sun was out.

Well, the tide is out but the wind is in!
We could see the White Horses on the waves in the distance and Sheerness was visible, so no sign of the snow that is on it's way!

The calm before the Snow Drift?
We started to head back towards the car when a blast of cold landed on us, that was it, we both decided that it was better curled up on the sofa or on OTL's lap!

Oooooooh! That was cold!
Back home The Missus has been experimenting with the dehydrator and has just done the first batch of chicken!

Now, they may be a little a little crispy, but TM does crispy very well, sometimes the 'crispy' is burnt black but today it was just crispy.

They tasted wunderful!

We nibbled them and then robbed OTL when he was trying to introduce the ferrets to the chicken!

Wendy took the chicken and hid it under the bed, Freddy was still sleeping but when he wakes up I think Wendy's chicken will disappear!

Unless she eats it first!

Eric and May took the chicken and hid theirs under the bed as well, then went back to sleep. We will see what happened later when they wake up for a slurp of Ferretone this evening!

So, that's it really, panic over and OTL is home.

Snow is still somewhere in Europe and the weather men keep changing their minds!

WE are off to mug OTL for his dinner before having to eat that Doggy Scoff that has been sitting in our bowls all day!

Bye for now,

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Happy Thursday!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

This morning the weather had changed, it was windy and there was a definite chilly edge to it!

The weather forecast says that we have some cold winds coming together with some snow!

That will be fun, the ferrets have never seen snow so if Old Two Legs gets back in time on Sunday and there is enough snow on the ground......................SNOWBALLS!!!!!!!

Until then we have to suffer with the cold wind that's blowing in from the sea!

It even LOOKS cold!
Holly and I found some sniffs hidden in the bushes and being out of the wind they were wonderful!

Just get a load of this!
Lunchtime it was better outside, still windy but the sun had come out!

Freddy decided he would pass on a walk at lunchtime and went back to sleep leaving Miss Wendy to come with us for a small rampage!

I do love a Rampage!
Miss Wendy was able to have a rampage all of her own, normally it is Freddy who hangs back looking for a carry but today he was asleep at home and Miss Wendy took full advantage!

This is the best!
She was diving in and out of the grass, hiding then jumping out and chasing Holly up the hill!

I sniff Nargles!
There wasn't any Nargles but we didn't say anything 'cos she was having such a good time!

Boo!
On the football field the mole hills seemed a little bigger and the Mole Sniff was stronger, even with the wind blowing!

I reckon this mole has moved his family in!
Back home we had some chicken waiting for us. That didn't last long and the Teeth Cleaning Chew sort of vanished in a flash!

Over the weekend The Missus has promised to try dehydrating some chicken, just like the stuff OTL gets from the Doggy Shop, with a bit of luck there will be some chicken jerky for all us woofers!

Claws crossed!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

It's someones Birthday Today!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Now, while we are waiting for Old Two Legs to have his shower and wash all his bits, Holly and I study the diary to see if there are any appointments booked or visitors arriving and stuff like that.

Today, we see, is a Birthday in fact it is the Numpty Numph Birthday of Mrs Goodes, so, guess what is next?

Yesss!

OK, here we go, 5, 89, 3!

Happy Birthday to Yooo!
Raspberry donuts 'll make you poo!
Stick a ferret in your tea cup,
Happy Birthday to YOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Now can we have a bit of cake?

This morning it was still a bit misty down on the sea shore and the sun was up but hiding behind the clouds!

A bit wishy washy today!
As we walked on the light got brighter but still no colourful sunrise. However, it was bright enough for us to see the two woofers on the Sea Wall. They normally do some serious woofing at Holly and I but we don't care, we got OTL to look after us!

Wot a lot of woofing, and they are miles away!
The morning was spent snoozing on the bed while OTL was cleaning the cages and the ferrets were causing all manner of havoc in The Missus store room. Eric gathers up all his squeaky balls and hides them under the boxes while May moves tons of Brambles Biscuits to a safe place under the sofa!

We don't mind that 'cos Holly and I go hunting and eat all the biscuits as 'Snacks'!

Lunchtime the sun had poked its face above the cloud but then it ducked down again!

Eric and May came out with us and cuddled up to OTL to begin with but Miss May decided she would have a run, but then after a few minutes she was back up again then two minutes later, down she gets for another run!

Daddy, I want a carry!
By the time we had got back to the football field, Eric was down on the ground and ferreting through the grass and investigating the mole hills!

You can throw the stick but there is no way I'm running after it!
Eric is just not into sticks like wot I am!

Mind you, I don't know what he would do if the Mole stuck it's nose above ground!

Back home for a snooze before dinner. I know we got Doggy Scoff so OTL better have something tasty tonight or else!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Busy, Busy!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again.

Wot a drab old day it's been. We had a look out of the window first thing to see loads of misty everywhere!

At first Old two Legs thought it was raining but then saw the mist condensing on the roof gutters and dropping down to the window ledge!

Drip, Drip, Drip!

Down on the sea front it wasn't any better, mind you, it did give us a chance at chasing some bunnies!

We thought they may have been fooled by the mist but as normal, they spotted us steaming in at mach 12 and still managed to get out of our way!

OK, where did the bunnies go?
There was no sunrise over Sheerness, in fact we had trouble seeing Sheerness!

Holly reckoned it was all to do with the low pressure passing slowly over us. She did say that there was a high pressure front heading our way and it should all brighten up this after noon.

She really is a Miss Know-It-All!

Wot Sheerness?
Well, lunch time the cold front passed over us and the wind a arrived and blow me tail skywards if the wind didn't start blowing with some force!

OTL had to take his glasses off 'cos the wind was making his eyes water!

Here comes the cold front!
Poor lad had to go out working this afternoon and missed out on the home made soup he normally has. Of course, that means he has to go hungry until dinner tonight.

Now he knows how we feel when we can't face the Doggy Scoff that gets served up!

It took him a couple of hours to get his customer sorted and arrived back to a 'Woofers Welcome'!

We are not sure what he has got for dinner tonight but we can bet some of it will be salad, with any luck it may also be Bambi Burgers, Holly and I love them, especially when they get dipped in eggy!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Soggy Doggy!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

First of all, welcome back Mrs Goodes, good to see you are back again!

Now, we were expecting a mild warmish day today but what happened?

Yes, it rained.

It rained before we got up, we know that 'cos there is a big puddle in the road and on top of that, the rain woke us up!

Down on the sea front it was touch and go for us to continue the walk but Old Two Legs pulled his hat down over his ears and sheep herded us off along the path!

I mean, do we look like sheep?

Bah!

Well, I reckon we should have had our rain coats on!
The walk wasn't too exciting, damp, wet but little wind and not that cold!

The sun was coming up but we didn't see it, the sky was all grey mist and cloud!

We got the feeling today was going to be best spent in bed!

Not the most exciting view we have ever seen!
Lunchtime we were down the sea shore again but this time we did have our rain coats on and yes, it was still raining!

Holly spotted a rather large container ship heading down the Thames blowing its fog horn and making a lot of noise!

We saw that the containers were piled up at least four high above the deck! The wheelhouse could hardly see where it was going, so we reckon it was on 'Instruments only'!

One mighty big container ship!
Normally, when we get back to the football field, OTL gets to the car first, puts the ferrets away in their cage and then calls Holly and I.

Holly trots off and jumps up into the car but I play the pickle and sit in the middle of the field totally ignoring OTL calling me.

Then he starts walking towards me and calling my name.

I have turned my head away and was looking at the school!

I wait until he gets withing twenty feet from me and I rush past him and jump into the car laughing my tail off!

I think its a really good game and I'm sure OTL likes the game as well 'cos he never tells me off!

Today there were no ferrets, I didn't hang about, as soon as Holly was in I decided that it was a warmer, dryer place than in the middle of the field, so I joined Holly in the car and we shared the hot air blower until we dried our ears!

How to have fun in the rain!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

We spot some Angels!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

It's been a super day today, there was a frost on the wind screen this morning so we had to herrrrrrrr on the screen to melt the frost!

Down on the sea front we were sniffin' the sniffs when Holly said she could see angels in the sky!

Really it was clouds, well, that's what I reckon but Old Two Legs took a photo and you know what?

We still are not sure!

Well, it could be!
There was a frost on the ground, not much but enough to make it slippery in some places!

Look! Wheeeeeeeeee!
Back home Holly and I headed for the bedroom so we can watch out the window for passing cats and Two Legs.

That's always worth a good woof!

We took Freddy and Wendy with us at lunchtime and of course there were loads of TL's visiting the sea shore and walking their woofers.

OTL had to keep a close watch for any woofer that looked like it was getting too close!

Of course, all the visitors wanted to stop and go through the normal questions and there was one couple wanted to hire a couple of ferrets to go hunting bunny rabbits!

I think that our ferrets are so well looked after they would end up being chased by the bunnies!

Across the football field Eric had a sniff at the mole hill but there was no moles at home today!

Come out where ever you are!
Miss Wendy is always up for a run but Freddy will only have a short run before wanting to be picked up, he is a lazy ferret sometimes!

OTL, it time for a lift!
Back home we had a bowl of chicken waiting for us and of course that is followed by a serious snooze in the office!

The Missus has been playing with her card stuff and has come up with a Chinese theme and try as she might, she couldn't come up with a stencil of an Earth Dog!

We think she has put it up on her Faceache Thingy!

We are off now to watch the Olympics on the TV.

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
