A trip to the vet!

Hello Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret again!

Well, it's been another of those 'Grey Days' you know, no sun, just grey clouds!

Down on the Sea Wall we couldn't even see Sheerness 'cos the mist was so thick. We also saw that the big plastic thingy was still sitting on the beach. Old Two Legs said if he stayed there too long it might get bonked by a Palm Oil Tin!

Nasty!

Just watching the Palm Oil Cylinders float past!
Lunchtime arrived and so did we, only to find that nothing had changed! Except we could just see Sheerness across the water.

Not the most exciting thing to see!

Today it is a grey Sheerness!
On our way back we reckoned that some of the snow had melted but there was still some big piles by the side of the road!

Look! Grey Snow!
About the most exciting thing we did was to visit the vet to get a prescription for my 'Problem'.

There we were, OTL and me, sitting all quiet like in the waiting room, when this four month old Bozo Woofer came in all bouncy and wide awake. He tried to get over to see me and get a sniff.

I gave him the 'Woofers Warning', a low down grumble that starts in yer tum and rattles all the way up to your teeth!

That was it, he started to snivel and got picked up by his Two Legs and there he sat, on the TL's  lap and didn't move all the time we were in there!

I got poked and prodded and even had a cold stethoscope shoved onto my tummy and at one point I thought I was going to get the cold thermometer shoved up my third eye!

When we came out there was another Bozo Woofer in the waiting room and just to let them know who is in charge, I gave him the 'Woofers Warning' as well. Only he didn't start whimpering, instead he started to woof his tail off at me!

I didn't care, I was in OTL's arms and the Bozo couldn't get to me, so I gave him some more woofing warnings and that set him off again.

He got told off by his owner and  got dragged into the little room to see the vet. I shouted out to him that he was for 'The Chop' and he should keep his knees together!

Ha! That's how we sort Bozo's out!

The Missus has gone off for a game of Glue Slapping so we are going to have some fun tonight nibbling nibbles and watching a film on Netflicks!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Big Woofers and a Ferret Rough and Tumble

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

It's been a bleak sort of day today, no brilliant sunrises, well to be honest, no sun!

Wot was worse, Miss Wendy decided that she was going to finish of her sleep and refused to get up!

No, I'm not even going to open my eyes!

So, off we went looking for adventures!

Down on the Sea Front it was all rather boring, no sun, no exciting sniffs, in fact nuffin! We had heard that some containers of Palm Oil had been found on the sea shore so there was no chance of getting  a run and a dig on the beach!

Old Two Legs was wondering what he was going to photograph when all of a sudden we were surrounded by Husky Woofers!

Hey! Seen any snow?
They said they had enjoyed the last week, all that snow, they reckon to have had a great time diving in and out of the snowdrifts!

Holly wanted to know if they suffered from snowballs like wot we do but they didn't really know what Holly was talking about although they said they sometimes get snow in their paws!

Got any snowballs for us to look at?
It was a good job they were on leads cos I reckon they might have chased us, just for fun!

Down on the beach that big container was parked on the beach and we wondered if it was one of the Palm Oil containers but OTL said it was the wrong shape, he reckoned they would be 'cylidrical'!

Wot's Cylindrical?
When we come back from our morning walk we get locked in the bedroom for a snooze while the ferret cages get de-pooed and the ferrets get to have a rampage around the house, getting into as much mischief as possible!

The Missus had her camera phone handy and took this!

Ferret fun or wot?

This afternoon OTL had to go out delivering so we decided to stay at home and guard the house and scare away all the Nargles!

The two bowls of chicken also persuaded us to stay in as well!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Back to the sunrise again!

Hello Woofers!

We are back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

No more snow, just a few drops of rain. There is still snow on the roads going in and out of the village but it's all passable.

We headed off to the sea side and noticed that the had got up before we arrived!

There were clouds low on the horizon so the sun had to climb above the low clouds before we get to see it!

Old Two Legs did some some fiddly diddly on the camera controls and then he spotted a launch heading across the sun.

Clicky click and he managed to get the shot he wanted!

Early Morning Fishing Trip
The funny thing was, a woofer we know had crept up on OTL and was jumping up giving him a shove while he was taking the photo!

Back home we left OTL to get on with his work and while we were snoozing, the ferrets were out rampaging around the house. Eric has found a new trick, while OTL has his head in the cage, digging out the poo, Eric jumps onto OTL's back and uses him as a ladder to help Eric climb up the outside of the cage!

When he first did it, he had OTL jumping all over the place!

A Ferret Gotcha!

OTL has got steak tonight, with salad of course. Mind you, that means Holly Chops and I will be on 'Maximium Mugging' !

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

We get out of the village!

Yo Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, it's good news, they have unblocked the road and we can now wiggle our way out of the village!

That means we can get down to the sea side for a wee and a sniff!

This morning Old Two Legs decided that we will have one last wander down the side of the field, just for old times sake! It was still dark 'cos the sun was still in bed!

All we saw was a little red in the sky, not very exciting!

Hello Sun Shine!
By the time we got to the end of the field it had got a bit brighter and OTL pointed out the Railway Water Tower. That is where they would give the steam trains a drink before setting off again!

The trains stopped here 'cos the railway didn't go any further!
Lunchtime we were off to the sea side and we passed one of the snow drifts that cut the village off from the rest of the world!

Passable but only single track!
Down on the Sea Wall we saw a big plastic box floating down the river. We decided to leave it alone 'cos it looked big and bouncy!

Best left alone to the weather!
Back home OTL gave the ferret cages their weekend clean and bedding change. Freddy thought it great fun to crawl into the blankets and have a snooze! Eric, when he was let out thought it a great game to explore the boxes where all the bedding was kept and just for fun, he jumped out of the box into OTL's arms!

So, now the bedding is all clean and new so all the ferrets have to do is move the bedding around until it is 'Just Right' for sleeping in!

Holly and I don't have that trouble, we just give OTL a kick and as he rolls over we dive in and pinch some more duvet!

That's living!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Spring is Here, sort of!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret are here again!

Now then, paws up all of you who know that meteorologically, spring started on the first of March!

Well done, you have been listening to the weather forecasts!

Judging by all the snow and cold winds we rather think that the 20th March should be the beginning, well, it is if you go by the astronomical calendar!

When we were out this morning wandering along the slushy path beside the field Old Two Legs spotted this.

The first buds of Spring?
I will admit, I don't do high up stuff, you see my nose is closer to the ground and sniffs are easier come by when your nose is twelve inches from the ground!

If I do this my nose is even closer to the ground!
Once we got into the field we could see that the snow had been melting overnight 'cos the green of the crop was just visible above the snow!

It's green but is it wheat or barley!
Back home we got served up with some chicken and after that we get a Rawhide Chew each, that is Holly and me, not OTL, he doesn't like rawhide!

The ferrets have really taken to the dehydrated chicken strips and when Freddy gets his he rushes off to a corner and doesn't come out until it is all gone!

He has also taken to giving the chicken strip to OTL to hold while Freddy chews lumps off the end until his teeth get too close to OTL's fingers!

We really didn't want to go out at lunchtime 'cos the chews were only half chewed but OTL insisted, so, off we went looking for a sniff!

When we got to the field we had a shock, loads of green stuff poking up in the air!

It's a bit soggy and a bit wet and a bit cold!
Holly was still kept of the lead 'cos she only wanted a wee and after that she wanted to go back to the rawhide chew!

An afternoon well spent, chewing and snoozing and mugging OTL for some more chicken strips!

See you tomorrow and with a bit of luck we will get to go walkies down on the sea front!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

I Thawt I Thaw a Thaw?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, it was cold last night, I can tell you that 'cos when Holly and I went out for a wee, we left yellow stalagmites in the snow!

That wind chill has a lot to answer to!

This morning it wasn't any better, we went across the football field and down to the farm field. The wind was howling through the trees and blowing the snow into big drifts!

Mind you, it has been easy to spot the sniffs, they are all yellow!

Holly has to stay on the lead 'cos she keeps heading for home after a wee!
All the snow has been blown off the field and onto the golf course, it's a good thing we stick to the field 'cos we would disappear in the snow drift!

Snow blown to the left!
Looking into the golf course we reckon the snow drift must be at least four feet deep!

Normally there is a dip here!
On the weather forecast, no one is saying anything about a thaw but they say that there is some rain due over the weekend which means melting snow. Well that's what we thought but Old Two Legs pointed out that the rain could land and get frozen by the ice and snow on the ground!

I hope it gets warmer soon, I like the snow but not for too long!

Off back to home!
The Missus has been doing some dried chicken for us and I think it tastes wonderful, OTL calls it Chicken Jerky!

He sticks to his apple and pear jerky while the ferrets, Holly and I think the chicken is Wunderful!

As long as he doesn't get a liking for Chicken Jerky or he could end up in deep poo!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

We go hunting Brass Monkeys!

Hi Woofers!

We hope you are keeping warm!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May,, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret are here again!

Well, here is a 'First' for us, the village has been cut off from the world due to large piles of snow.

Old Two Legs said it happened before, in 1988, thirty years ago and we were described as the 'Beleaguered Village of Allhallows'!

Well, we ain't beleaguered yet, but it's getting close!

We have kept to having a walk in the local fields but the wind gets to blow straight in off the sea and when the cold wind, plus the snow and the freezing temperature combine, it's blooming cold!

It's just too cold!
We had a run down to the bottom of the field and a race back! Of course we beat OTL all the way back home even after Holly stopped at the Poo Bin for a wee!

You know, I would wee in the bin if I could get my leg up high enough!
Back home we were dumped into the kitchen sink and washed down with warm water to get the snowballs off our legs and tummy!

The laptop has a program that keeps a watch for 'Nasties' that could damage the machine and this morning the warning light came on and OTL had to do a complete scan of all his hard drives! Well, that took all of the morning to do and he had to work on just one computer rather than two!

He was telling us about a brass monkey set he had inherited from his father. It's three monkeys sitting together. One has it's hands over it's ears, the next hands are covering it's eyes and the last has it's hands over it's mouth.

OTL says that it is supposed to say, 'Hear no Evil, See no Evil and Say no Evil'. Well, holly and I laughed our tails off when OTL said that with the weather we are having it could be 'What was That? I can't Look and OMG, They've dropped off'!

Lunchtime we were still laughing as we headed off down the field again, sniffin' to see if we could spot any Monkey Bits!

No, that's yellow snow not Brass Bits!
I just couldn't resist a roll in the snow even though I had my Flying Jacket on!

You don't get to do this very often!
All this snow once every thirty years is enough really! Roll on Summer and a splash in the sea!

A look across the golf course!
Holly did her trick of finishing her wee and deciding that home is the place she wants to be!

I'm all wee'd out and in need of 'De-Snowballing'!
That was it, back home to a warm paddle and off to bed for a snooze!

So, we didn't find any Monkey Bits but maybe tomorrow 'cos the snow should still be here for a few days. The Missus has cancelled the Master Class this weekend but plans to do it again later this month.

Now, we are off to see what OTL has for dinner!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May,, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Another Snowy Day!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Now, just as a change, we will start off with a Woofer that has struck lucky. You see he has a thing about buttons, yeah, it's a bird thing!

He is lucky that he has a load of Crafty Ladies who sent him some extra buttons into his storage bowl!

This saves him from trying to eat the iPlod!

Rocky and his Buttons!
Another Woofer that gets lucky is Eric, he can find a Ferretone bottle before anyone else! That gets him a slurp all on his own!

Licky, Licky, Slurp Slurp!
Over night there was some more snow so a trip down to the sea side was put on hold and instead we headed over to the football field behind our house.

It was great running through the sow and we ended up with snowballs on our legs again!

Holly getting a gallop on!
It was still misty all over the farm field and Holly reckoned she sniffed a rabbit and we were off like Puppy Powered Rockets!

Chaaaaaaaaarge!
After a sniff across the field we saw that the sun was coming over the mist, not the best sunrise but at least it was different to Sheerness!

Not wot we would call 'Spectacular'!
We hung about a little and there was more sun and when it finally got over the mist it was still rather dull!

Almost looks like two suns!
Back home we were dumped into the kitchen sink and the snowballs were washed off using warm water!

Lunchtime we were back out across the football field and luckily there had not been any more snow falling so we got to run on last nights snow!

The only problem was the wind, it had blown all the paw prints away! There were no Two Leg prints either!

We had a quick wee and headed back home again, got washed and sploshed in the kitchen sink again and the snowballs melted away.

A quick rub down with a Doggy Towel and a roll on the bed and we were back to normal again!

I'm not sure what's for dinner tonight but you can be sure OTL has salad!

He has reduced his weight by 5kg, I don't know if that is good but we have to make sure he doesn't put it back on, so, any meat we share with him and his cheese and biscuits are split 50/50 as well.

Well, we have to help him!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Here Comes the Dandruff!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back with you again!

Well, it has started, the snow I mean, there was a light dusting overnight which didn't stop us from going out for our morning stroll along sea front.

Hey! I sniff Pussy Cat!
One good thing about the snow was you could see who had been out before you, like, there was just one Two Leg track with a woofer walking by the side. After that it was us!

No, I don't think that the yellow snow is normal!
You know, it was great fun running across the snow and kicking up a blizzard behind us!

Wheeeeeeeeee!
The tide was on its way in and so was the snow. We could see it on the horizon sort of floating in our direction so we decided to take a short cut and head back to the car!

Come on, the short cut is up here!
We got home to a bowl of Doggy Scoff, YUCKY, YUCKY, YUK, YUK!

Mind you, we did get a couple of chicken bits that The Missus had dehydrated the other day. You know, they are a tasty bit of stuff! Freddy just can't get enough of them and will sit in OTL's arms nibbling away at one while OTL holds it for him!

Miss Wendy hides hers but she is not very good at hiding 'cos Freddy soon finds it, if he wakes up and fancies a nibble that is!

Funnily enough, Eric is not too taken with the chicken and he leaves it alone, which means Miss May gets her Chicken Bit and can hide it, find it again and eat it all without Eric getting a nibble!

OTL did some work and we had a snooze and half way through the morning some more snow landed and we all decided that at lunchtime we would just have a run around the football field at the back of us!

Ooooops! Some more!
Instead of his big boots, OTL decided he would put his wellies on for the lunchtime stroll and soon we were jumping and running around in the snow again!

Can't catch me!
Of course, I just couldn't resist a really good roll in the snow!

I could do this every day!
We went down the side of the field and found some more yellow snow and then made some of our own!

OTL wouldn't let us roll in the yellow snow so Holly and I managed to make loads of snowballs and get them stuck to our legs which made us walk like we had pooed our pants!

More snowballs!
When we finally got home TM and OTL had to use warm water and bits of towel to get all the snowballs our of our fur and in the end OTL said his back was hurting so he picked me up and plonked me in the sink and washed me down with warm water!

It was almost like having a bath before getting a haircut!

No, don't mention that he may get ideas!

Poor Archie Babe has got that today, I do hope it's not snowing where he is, it will be freezing for him!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Just a Flurry or Two!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again! Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Well, it's all back to normal in our kennel, last night we were all fighting for a spot on the bed. The Missus was first in bed so she got to wrap the duvet around her and prevent us from pulling it over to Old Two Legs side so we could share!

A bit later, TM said she was 'Too Hot' and relaxed her grip, well we were in like a shot and managed to regain a little more duvet!

Holly had spent yesterday evening cuddled up on OTL's lap and in bed she still was cuddled up to him. I think she missed OTL more than she will admit!

This morning it was our flying jackets 'cos there was a nasty cold blast coming in from the East and there was a few snow flurries blowing in as we walked along the sea front!

We could see the precipitation coming in from off the sea so we didn't hang about, a quick wee and a poo and back to the car!

There is is, precipitation!
When we got back home the sun was trying to climb up over the clouds but unfortunately, there was more cloud than sun!

Just a little sun!
The ferrets were pleased OTL was back, you could tell that 'cos they kept on jumping up on his lap and licking his nose!

Don't you just hate it when they are so sneaky?

Lunchtime there were a few more flurries but nothing settled for long and the only bit of excitement was when TM decided to break the ice in the pond, Holly had a tenner on her slipping into the pond but she managed to keep dry!

It was dry down on the football field and most of the sniffs were frozen solid!

This one is so cold it don't sniff!
The tide had almost gone all the way out but you could still see the white horses being blown about all over the place!

It will be even colder when it comes back in!
The wind has been relentless, coming in off the sea it picks up the damp, cold icy blasts all the way from Russia. Holly was right to say that they can just take it all back, we'll have some warmer weather from Africa!

The weather man says that it may happen by the end of the week, we have our claws crossed!

That wind certainly blows yer tail sideways!
We were glad to get back in the warm and the ferrets didn't even wake up! They've been snoozing for almost all the day!

One good thing we have noticed, all the roads have been sprinkled with salt, so, well done to the council, they got it right this time, normally they wait until the snow is melting before spreading the salt!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
