Sunny Saturday and we meet young Rosie again!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

The Missus packed up her stuff and was off to the village hall for another 'Master Class' today. It seems she has missed it over the last week or two and has been getting all twitchy!

We were up good and early and Eric was looking forward to having some fun in the mown grass again, However, when we got there the grass was all damp and wet! It stuck to Old Two Legs soles of his shoes and made his paws look twice the size!

Down on the Sea Shore the tide was out but there were loads of those sea gully things digging the worms up before the 'Wormy Men' arrive!

Worm Breakfast...........YUK!
Young Eric was playing about in the grass looking for Nargles and Mouses but I think they were still in bed!

Just what will he do with them if he finds one?
Not that it worried Eric, the fun is in the hunting rather than the 'Catch'!

OK, who made that rustle, I know your here somewhere!
Mind you, when we got back to the football field Eric was running from one freshly dig hole to the next looking for rabbits, weasels or Hefferlumps!

There was one of those Lumpy Things in here, I'm sure of it!
Lunchtime it was super sunny and both Wendy and Monty had a great time ferreting through the grass. Wendy said that all the mouses had been scared off by Eric.

Monty, being a young ferret didn't know what a mouse was, except that it tastes good with a little mustard!

Wendy told him that!

Why do they make these steps so big?
While the ferrets were rock climbing up the steps, Holly and I were looking out to sea and wondering what a worm tastes like. I reckon they taste like squashy string, Holly reckons they taste like gritty Doggy Scoff but without any flavour!

Squashy String with too much salt!

It's funny what you can discuss when sitting beside the sea, or beside the mud flats!

Gritty Doggy Scoff? No thanks!
On our way back home, OTL dropped into the village hall 'cos young Rosie was up there after her holiday in America, you know, that place where TM visited for three weeks a couple of years ago!

Both Wendy and Monty got a cuddle each from Rosie then we all headed for home to watch the F1 practise for tomorrows race!

Tomorrow should be sunny so with a bit of luck we will find a Nargle or two under the grass!

Well, that's what Eric says!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

We LOVE Fridays!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret back with you on this fine sunny day!

Well, by the time you read this the day will be almost gone, but wasn't it a super day anyway!

First thing this morning the clouds were rolling in but we seemed to have a sunny blue bit over the top of us when went out for the morning stroll along the Sea Shore. Mind you, it didn't last long 'cos we saw wot looked like a storm over the North East Kent coast!

There's a storm over there!
As there wasn't much of a wind blowing so we reckon it will dump all the rain in the same place before disappearing!

Holly and I were having a good sniff while Old Two Legs was trying to get young Eric to get started. He just loves a good run but has problems getting started!

Finally he got going and Holly and I were given our orders to get going up the grass path!

Come on, it looks like Eric has found first gear!
Back home there was our Doggy Scoff waiting so, being a little peckish, both Holly and I soon polished that off and the Teeth Cleaning Chew!

Lunchtime OTL was still working away because it is 'Month End', as if we didn't know, but he was talking about his business rather than the fact that today is the last day of Summer!

Tomorrow it will be the first day of Autumn so we expect that we will be expecting all the leaves to be falling off the trees soon!

Miss Wendy and Monty were woken up, dressed in their harnesses and off we went to see if the storm had moved!

Yep! It had gone off to some other part of the world!

When we got out of the car there was the sniff of newly mown grass!

Now this is a problem.

You see, all the sniffs are on the blades of grass but after the mower has been across them, they get all chopped up and mixed up something rotten!

It takes ages to get back to a decent patchwork of sniffs!

Holly, get up, you are showing yourself up!
Monty and Wendy had the same trouble as us, there they were, following their last walk across the football field when suddenly Monty goes to the left while Wendy goes to the right!

You see what I mean about the mix up of sniffs?

Oi! It's over here, the sniff leading the way back to the car!
OTL had a result when he took me to the vet, he got a fresh, clean and brand new wee sample bottle and he didn't have to pay for it either!

Result!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Roll on Friday!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Wot a lovely day it's been, it was rather cool when we went out this morning but it brightened up later in the day.

Old Two Legs was a whole half an hour late in getting up so everything was later than usual!

The sun had got up and was half way through the day before we got to the Sea Wall!

Late Again!
We left Miss May in bed 'cos she wasn't feeling too good, she puts it down to 'Old Age' and preferring a warm soft bed to wet grass!

Eric is still young and daft, so he was up and running at the first opportunity, mind you, he did have a problem with the concrete steps on the Sea Wall!

Oi! Will one of you woofers give me a leg up?
Unfortunately for Eric, Holly and I had found a super sniff and were making the most of it before OTL called us to move on!

So, there was only one thing to do, ask OTL!

OTL, I'm struggling to get up, gissa lift?
OTL is always a sucker for a sad face and came back to lift Eric up the last step!

Mind you, it was only a lift up the step, there was still a load of grass sniffs ahead of him!

Now, which sniff first, Weasel or Rat?
This morning there was a load of 'Manufacturing' then 'Repairs' and afterwards, 'Invoicing'!

Lunchtime we headed out with Monty and Wendy, it was getting warm so they kept the running to a minimum and both managed to get a carry for a few paces before the sniffs enticed them out of OTL's arms!

Today, for some reason there were loads of woofers out for a walk and OTL had to keep picking the ferrets up, well, we don't want anyone taking a lump out of a ferrets bum!

This afternoon was 'Delivery Time'. That's when all the 'Manufacturing' gets packaged up and taken to the carriers for shipping. Then there is the 'Repairs' that get delivered locally.

While OTL was doing some 'Paperwork' TM came in with an ice cream cone all full of ice cream and a chocolate flake!

Well, OTL sat in his office chair and started to lick the ice cream and me, being more active than Holly, jumped up onto OTL's lap and started to lick the other side!

It was great! Holly didn't miss out, she got the last couple of licks and the cone, all filled with ice cream!

Tomorrow should be fun, being Friday we should get to finish early, so, that means more fun on the Sea Shore!

Then of course, there is the weekend, did you know that Saturday is the first day of Autumn? It won't be long before the snow arrives and we play 'Hunt the Ferret' in the snow drifts!

See you tomorrow and did I mention, tomorrow is the last day of Summer?

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Wet Walks, Horrid Vets and OTL Runs Off!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

You know, it was still dark when Old Two Legs got up this morning! By the time we were ready to go out the sky had got lighter but there was no sun, just big wet clouds!

The walk was fun, Holly and I went off sniffing while young Eric spent most of the time trying to get into the Ferret Bag to keep out of the rain!

I mean, it wasn't too wet, just a few drops of rain, just enough to give a woofer a wet nose!

Eric reckons it was enough to wash the whiskers off a ferret!

OTL didn't get the camera out 'cos he reckons that the camera is not really that water proof.

Not that we don't have any pictures, you see last night OTL was heading to bed and just finished saying good night to the ferrets, yes, he does, every night!

Out of the office window he saw the moon all big and glowing a sort of red colour, so, up comes the camera and he rattles off a couple of shots, hand held as well!

This one with the 'Every Day' camera.
Then, just for an experiment he rattled off one with the Infrared Camera.

Not a UFO in sight!
We all spent this morning snoozing and around midday OTL headed off to do some work, poor lad!

Mind you, I need sympathy as well 'cos I was bundled into the car and driven off to the vet with TM clutching a precious bottle of the finest Daisy Wee I could get out!

Well, I got poked and pushed, listened to and they even lifted my tail to see what tomorrow would bring!

In the end it was decided that there was nothing obviously wrong with me but OTL has to go back in a months time clutching another bottle of fine vintage wee, mine, not his!

I seem to remember that this happened before and the second sample was declared as 'Duty Paid' and I was allowed out!

So, all is well and just like Archie Babe, I've lost a little bit of weight but not enough to worry about!

We are off now to see if OTL has anything worth mugging!

Bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Not a Happy Puppy!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy here together with Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

It's been a sort of mild day today, the weather has been quite pleasant and the ferrets were all looking forward to coming out for a run, except Miss May who says she would rather stay in bed!

Mind you, when we get back she is well up for a rampage around the house, pinching the Brambles Biscuits and play fighting with Eric!

Eric has been full of it ever since he woke up this morning. Even after a run along the Sea Wall and a rush along the Grass Path he was still ready for a rampage around the house!

OK, I'm getting ready for a run!
Lunchtime Old Two Legs was on the phone to a supplier when I got a serious need to get out for a wee. I knew OTL was busy so I headed off to find The Missus and tell her. I jumped up on her lap, sat down and had a little shiver then I tried to climb up to the top of her chair, like wot I do to OTL when I want his attention!

TM thought that it was most 'Un Daisy' and suggested that the vet takes a look at me tomorrow when we go to pick up my prescription for my tablets.

I tried telling TM that I just wanted some attention but the appointment was made and with a bit of luck OTL will be back from his suppliers in time to take me.

If not, it's TM who will be chasing me around the football field with a 'Wee Catcher' while I try to leave a 'Marker Wee' on the field!

Back to today when Wendy and Monty came out at lunchtime. As we were walking across the football field Monty found a hole that the rabbits had started digging. Monty, being a helpful sort of ferret, started digging to enlarge the hole! Next Wendy dived in and helped spread the earth around!

OTL had to tell them to leave the hole alone and  carry on the walk!

Wot? Leave this wonderful hole?
So not only did they have a dig on the way out, they had a dig on the way back to the car to!

Needless to say, they have been asleep all afternoon!

Not too sure what we have tonight, possibly a tin of Doggy Scoff!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

The last Bank Holiday this year!

Hi Woofers!

The Mob is here again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Now, I thought that a Bank Holiday was a day that everyone had a day off. Unfortunately there are the few unlucky Two Legs who have to work and we have one!

Old Two Legs!

Today he got one of those panic telephone calls,.............Help! It has busted and won't work!

That was it, OTL was off and lunchtime we had The Missus take us for a walk by the sea shore.

Earlier we had gone out with OTL and young Eric de Ferret. Eric had decided he would stay cuddled up in OTL's arms until we all got to the Sea Wall.

Holly and I went of sniffing and Eric decided he would sit on the Sea Wall and watch the yachts go by!

What do they do, sit in the back and blow?
Holly, who was sniffing close by said that if there was no wind they had a small engine that could push the yacht along!

You know everything Holly!
As we headed up the grass hill Holly spotted Bert sitting up the top looking at her.

Now, Bert is in love with Holly and she plays him along something rotten. Then, just when he thinks he is going to get a lick on the nose, Holly turns around and runs off!

Poor Bert is almost heart broken!

Holly the Tart strikes again!
So, other than OTL, who had to work, it has been a gentle lazy sort of day.

Unlike Archie Babe, there was no rain here in North Kent so we could spend time in the garden woofing at the Collard Doves who were trying to eat all the seed in the bird feeders!

It's even more fun when they try to get at the Niger Seed and keep falling off the perches!

Not sure what we are doing tonight, other than mugging OTL for some of his steak tonight!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

We couldn't eat a whole one...............!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Sunday has arrived with the promise of a good F1 race this afternoon.

We were up early 'cos The Missus got up early after waking everyone in the household!

Before we knew it, Old Two Legs had snapped off a shot of the early morning sunrise!

OK, not an early sunrise, but close!
We had Eric de Ferret with us this morning 'cos Miss May was still snoozing in bed and decided she was staying there!

Eric enjoyed him self but was getting a little concerned about his 'Rat Tail' but we told him that it was because he is growing his Winter coat. We have seen this with many of the ferrets who have lived with us and really it's quite normal!

It may be normal but it's still cold first thing in the mornings!
It wasn't long before he forgot all about it 'cos Holly had found a sniff to die for and we all enjoyed a 'Group Sniff'!
Get yer sniffin gear around this one!
Lunchtime it was just a quick walk across the football field behind the house, mainly 'cos it was raining buckets of water!

Monty and Wendy declined a walk saying that they would wait until the rain stopped, like tomorrow!

On top of that we were expecting one of The Missus grandsons to bring over his missus and the four week old Baby Two Legs!

The Missus is now a Great Grandmother to THREE Great Grand Children!

The baby was introduce to everyone and his name is Ryu, that is pronounced Ry Ooooo!

He was a pretty baby TL and didn't cry much, just enough to let it be known that he was hungry!

He took to his bottle and made loads of slurping sounds, just like OTL does when he is eating his morning bowl of rabbit food and milk!

Holly and I studied him and decided that he wouldn't eat our Doggy Scoff, so no danger there then!

We were shown some pictures of him taken last week. There was this on where he was wrapped up in a Foxy Baby Growing sort of thing.

I can see this being brought out every time he brings a girl home to meet Mum & Dad!
Holly and I had a laugh but in the end decided that we couldn't eat a whole one, no matter how cute he looked!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Saturday is Kebab Day!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Another fun day here in North Kent. This morning Miss May decided to stay in bed rather than come out for a walk but we didn't mind 'cos she gets more fun nowadays ferreting around the house than ferreting in the wet grass!

As we are getting further into Summer and towards Autumn the sun is slowly taking more time to get out of bed and it won't be long before Old Two Legs bores the tail off of us with his 'Sunrise' pictures!

How did he sneak that one past us?
Eric said that the sunrise was OK but it tends to get in your eyes and you can't see anything coming in that direction!

It sure does get in your eyes!
We agreed with him especially when out of the sun appeared a TL Jogger and a BBW (Big Bozo Woofer) and OTL took us on another path rather than bump into them both!

If I hide behind here and sort of squint........it doesn't make the slightest of difference!
Today The Missus decided to take the little car and head off to a craft shop that was having an open day, just to see what was on offer!

Well, that was OK except that there was a warning light came up on the dashboard which made her pull in on the motorway services and get on the phone to OTL.

Now, OTL had a new gizmo fitted to the little car that sort of monitors your driving and tells you if you are a good driver, you know, no hard acceleration or braking or skidding around corners. All the stuff TM does when she is let out on her own!

It also tells you if the car has a fault that is logged on the computer system, clever little thing it is!

Well, it turns out that it was a tyre pressure warning light and OTL reckons it was the motorway speed that warmed the tyres a little.

Now, another thing this gizmo has is a button marked 'Find My Car' in case you park it and can't remember where it was parked, as if!

Mind you, it came in useful 'cos there is TM, miles away, driving home and OTL presses the button and up comes a map showing where the car is!

It's brilliant 'cos he told us to go to the window 'cos TM was just coming into the village!

OTL just loves his gizmo's!

Lunchtime Miss Wendy and Monty came out for a walk but didn't start until we had got to the beach. They were most interested in a sailing craft that was a little close to the beach. Holly had to explain all about tides and water and how much was under the keel.

I don't think they fully understood but they stood for a little while to see if the water under the keel got taken away as the tide was going out but in the end got fed up with waiting, so they headed for the grass!

Wendy, do you know what a 'Keel' is?
Miss Wendy just loves the grass and Monty loves digging in the grass as well, he says it keeps his claws nice and short!

Miss Wendy ferrets around in the grass but says that her claws are short enough thank you, OTL trims them for her to save having to dig holes everywhere!

I just love a good ferret in the grass!
Monty is quite good at running and manages to keep up with me when I'm on 'Sniff Patrol' but today I spotted a big Bulldog Woofers ahead of us and both Holly and I did the 'Warning Woof' and the TL marched the Bulldog down the other path away from us!

Result!

OK, get back if this 'Woof' doesn't work!
Tonight Holly and I have been promised a nibble of OTL's Kofti Kebab, well to be honest, we told him we are due a nibble and his life will be made hell if we don't get a nibble!

Puppy Power!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

A Ferrety Friday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret back with you again!

We love Fridays, you can just feel the weekend arriving!

The morning is still the same old run around but the afternoon sort of slows down and gets more comfortable as the evening gets closer!

Mind you, Miss May started off getting into the weekend a little earlier than normal. You see after rampaging around the house she curled up in Old Two Legs arms and being in a nice comfortable spot, she just drifted off into snooze land!

There are some places that are so comfortable that they just call out for a snooze!
We had a good walk at lunch time and the tide was right in!

I was planning to go in for a swim but OTL called me to his side, told me that he had his eye on me and if there was just one wrong step towards the sea I would be spending the afternoon getting showered followed by a hair cut!

Hair cut? After the last one I felt I was bald!

So, I had to spend my time guarding the ferrets instead of a swim!

Monty and Wendy were having a stroll along the Sea Wall and Monty decided that he wanted to have a 'Ferret' in the grass, so, the next thing was to get up to the grass which is not as easy as you would think when your legs are just two inches long!

I just wish my legs were........................
Things just don't always go the way you plan, as Monty shows us!

.................Longer!
He made it in the end and Miss Wendy joined him, after OTL gave her a lift up the steps!

Together they headed off up the Grass Path, sniffing and ferreting as only a ferret can!

Sniffs to the left, Sniffs to the right, Just sooo many Sniffs!
All this running around leaves the ferrets all tired and in need of a snooze, so, it's back home and after a run, back to bed for a well earned Friday Snooze!

Holly and I are standing guard outside the cages making sure none of them escape and pinch our Doggy Scoff, mind you, it's not that brilliant and we only eat it when there is nothing else to eat!

See you tomorrow, providing we don't starve to death on Doggy Scoff!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Monty does it again!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

It has been another lazy day today. Old Two Legs has been 'Manufacturing' again and rushing around taking stuff to the carrier.

He has been back and forwards all day! Just when he gets an order packed and down to the carrier, the customer sends another email with a few items added to the list! I would tell them to make sure everything was ordered, at the same time, and no messing about but OTL just says 'Thank you for your order'!

Miss May and Eric were out first thing this morning and although Eric was bouncing along the path, Miss May decided that a cuddle in OTL's arms was the best idea! She stayed like that for most of the walk, only getting down for a small run at the end of the walk!

Back home she was let out for a rampage around the house but as normal, she found somewhere warm to curl up and have a snooze before OTL took her back to her bed!

Lunchtime Monty and Wendy were out, even though there were a few drops of rain in the air!

To begin with they both had a run on the football field but soon m=Miss Wendy got a rain drop on her nose and in a flash she was in the ferret bag!

Monty stayed out a little longer but in the end he decided to get in as well.

OTL had to put his hand inside the bag so Monty could sit in the seat OTL had made with his hand and after some wriggling about, Monty made himself comfortable and Monty settled down to watch the world go by!

This is the way to do it!
We were reading yesterday about Miss Milly getting a grass seed in her paw, nasty! We have been lucky so far, Holly and I have only had those spiky grass heads and they are easy to get out and OTL is quite clever in getting rid of them!

Wot I don't like is the ticks that sometimes used to set up camp on us. We are lucky that OTL has found some stuff he squirts onto our shoulder blades and that seems to keep the ticks away. We get a dose a month before then another dose the month we go away on holiday and claws crossed, no ticks!

As for going down holes, yes, well, I do like that especially if the is a rabbit in there!

OTL does his best to keep us out of the holes but sometimes we spot a rabbit and, well, off we go!

Mind you, once he finds us we get told off and then are put on the lead for the rest of the walk.

Sometimes I wonder if the brief rabbit hunt is worth the restricted walk afterwards!

Curry tonight! That means a taste of gravy soaked Naan Bread!

Yum Yum!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.
