Just look at the fungi!

Hello Woofers!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here.

Another super sunny day down here in the South East. We have been watching the weather forecast for Scotland and it seems that they have been promised rain by the bucketful over the next few hours!

Now I must double check that our raincoats are in the caravan!

The Missus has been packing stuff away in the caravan, mostly card stock and inks and stencils and loads of crafty magazines!

We should have some fun tomorrow; Old Two Legs is going to get out his clothes and see if he can find a place where he can store them in the caravan!

Holly and I had the golf course to ourselves this morning, the ferrets were all asleep and there were no woofers out walking!

Lunchtime we came across a load of fungi poking it's head up through the grass. It's a sure sign that autumn is on its way 'cos we normally don't get fungi until October has landed!

Fungi and it's only September!

We didn't meet any woofers around the sea front just the odd sniff or two around the bench!

We sniffed the sniffs but to be honest, we didn't know just who it was that left them!

This afternoon we went out shopping with OTL to get some stuff for the caravan. Mind you, we had to stay in the car while he went into the shop, something about woofers not being allowed in the shop!

There is only a few things to do tomorrow so by the time Monday arrives we should be able to hitch up the van and be away by eight, hopefully!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Last Day at Work!

 Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, this is one of my favourite days, the last day of work before we go on holiday!

Eric was up early and the noise he made rattling around the cage made it obvious that he wanted to come out with us for the morning run!

We went over to the old golf course and Old Two Legs was pleased to see the first of the autumn sunrises. Well, OK, the sun was well up in the air but if you couple that with the old railway water tower, it don't look too bad, for OTL that is!

We used to have a railway station in our village but they were turned into flats when the railway was shut down and the only thing left is the water tower!

Not that it worried Eric who, after a carry half way around the golf course decided to get down for a dig in the sand!

You see, he gets all excited as he digs into the sand and throws it all behind him, covering OTL's boots with sand!

Then he stops, just to see if anyone is watching him and if he sees no movement, he is off again digging like mad!

That was exhausting but I managed to dig right down to the bottom!

Back home OTL was getting the last of the statements out and quotes sent and everything filed away all neat like. By then it was lunchtime and both Holly and I stood behind his chair and gave him a good woofing, well we wanted out walk on time today!

Down on the sea front we could see the tide was well out and there were some Wormy Men out on the mud digging holes to trap the worms.

They're behind you!

OTL was off chasing butterflies, as normal, he was also chasing dragonflies but they wouldn't sit still so in the end he gave up!

We met up with a couple of woofers who we have seen before. Of course, being woofers, we all had a good look and a sniff, then we all wee'd on the same spot to show we were friends!

Tomorrow we start to fill the caravan withstuff and we will be keeping a close watch on what gets moved about. We know what The Missus is like when she is searching for places to hide her crafting stuff, everything else gets thrown out!

We'll let you know what happend tomorrow!

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Packing for the Hols!

 Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here.

You can tell things are begining to happen. This morning Eric came out with us and had a great time digging in the sand bunker. He got really grubby and had sand and rabbit poo all over his head!

Of course, when Holly and I tried to have a roll all we got was warning noises from Old Two Legs!

Back home Holly and I were shut up in the bedroom while OTL took the ferret cages to bits and proceeded to 'De-Poo' the whole thing from top to bottom and side to side!

It was around ten to two that he finally finished and had the ferrets back in their cage.

Now, just to make things interesting, OTL has re-organised the sleeping places and food bowel locations but has left the water in the same locations.

It didn't take long for them to sort it all out and after their marathon rampage around the house, a whole six hours, give or take a few minutes! Wendy spent her time investigating the insides of the chairs and under the TV while Eric followed OTL around and kept getting in the way.

One thing was interesting to see. While the cage was in bits, Eric had the urge to do a poo, so, he climbs into the shower while it is pouring down onto OTL's arms while he is brushing the mesh on the cage walls.

Eric climbs over OTL's hand, raises his tail and does an enormous poo that only a ferret can do!

Well, Eric got wet and the poo got washed down the plug hole!

OTL picked Eric up and started to dry his back and also gave his butt a wash as well!

Finally it was all done, except the clearing up, and Holly and I headed off to the sea side for our walk!

Before we left home, both ferrets were fast asleep in their beds, snoring their tails off!

I think I've found a Ferret Poo!

Back home we have started to get out our holiday stuff, you know, Chicken Strips, plastic balls, knotted rope balls, rolls of kitchen paper (for the ferret cage) and our doggy towels!

We have got some tinned doggy food on order as we can't take our normal frozen doggy food 'cos the freezer compartment isn't that big in the caravan!

Tomorrow we start loading up the caravan and OTL has promised to have a haircut and get his beard trimmed, which as far as OTL is concerned, is the same thing, you know, clippers set on No.1 and shave everything off!

It's a pity that the gas meter got put on the floor. In fact anyone mounting it that low has got to be stupid! Mind you OTL managed to get a hassle free meter reading system.

He don't read the meters any more!

His gas and electricity supplier installed one of these 'Smart Meter' and it has a SIM telephone card installed so that the supplier can dial in and get a correct reading whenever they want. Better still it didn't cost anything to get it installed!

Mind you, we have got to have some idiots in the world 'cos if there were no idiots how would we feel superior!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

The Missus is spreading the (Inky) Gospel

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Well, we have been having some fun and games here. You see The Missus is almost paranoid regarding this Covid19 thing wot is rampaging around the country, plus she is missing seeing all her mates at the Village Hall Bash!

Well, she has decided to set up a meeting 'online' using this Zoom program. This means that instead of doing her videos with no immediate feed back, using Zoom she can do the demo then monitor what everyone is doing.

Sounds all complicated and very technical but she has put information up on her FaceAche Page that will give you all the information you need!

Eric came out with us this morning on our walk around the golf course, he had a great time digging in the sand bunkers that were all overgrown but he still enjoyed shoveling the sand into piles!

Miss Wendy said that too much exercise interferers with her sleep pattern and she is best left at home!

OTL has been fiddling about with the 'Little things' like washing the caravan water tank and flushing the system! He has come back with some stuff to seal up the roof vent and I did see a couple of bags of Chicken Strips in his arms as he came in the door after doing a bit of shopping!

Holly and I have been chasing that Black and White cat that hides in the plants under the bird feeders and tries to catch the birdies! Holly and start howling as we charge up the garden and it is so funny to see that cat take off vertically and over the fence!

Talking of fences, we are suposed to have a new fence panel delivered on Friday, with any luck!

Tomorrow OTL plans to get the high pressure hose out and give the ferret cage a good blasting, he has been promising it for some time, the only problem is where to hide the ferrets while he does it!

No pictures today, sorry, maybe tomorrow providing the ferrets get cleaned!

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Just Checking!

 Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy ad Eric de Ferret here.

We have been looking at the weather up in Scotland and have decided that down here is getting the best of the sunshine. Where we plan to go on holiday they seem to be getting loads of rain and the future forecast is also rain and more rain!

I see we will be taking out rain coats with us!

This morning Wendy was up early, leaving Eric in bed snoozing. She likes a wander around the golf course but does require a carry in Old Two Legs arms when her legs get tired. Mind you, it doesn't help when she insists on digging in the sand, between carries!

Lunchtime Eric was showing off, he decided to stay in bed and let us woofers go out for a walk.

The Wild Sweet Pea is still pretty with the colours still bright.

I really must get some seeds this year, we can plant them where the bird seed is hanging.

It looks like they have been painting the rigs, either that or the sun was shining!

While looking for a sight of the Common Lizard we caught this Common Carder Bee. We've not seen them for a year or two and they are pretty rare!

As we got close to the car park, OTL spotted another Common plant.

A Blackberry Bush! OK, I know it's not rare but you can bet the Two Legs will be out with their plastic buckets, picking the berries and taking them home to make jam or maybe some wine!

There were some red berries to the left but they weren't ripe yet, give them another week and it will be picking time!

OTL has got to do a little bit of work on the caravan tomorrow. Just a little sealant around the roof vents, can't have water dribbling through the edges!

He has sent an email off to the camp site, checking to see if it is still open and Covid Free!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Holly see's the joke!

 Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret back again!

It's been another one of those days today, Eric was out with us first thing, digging holes in the sand and getting seriously grubby in the process!

Yesterday it was Wendy digging holes but today Eric was digging in the same spot and getting further down into the sand!

Going around the golf course we spotted some fungi sprouting up, I mean, it isn't even October yet and here we are tripping over the things!

Old Two Legs told Holly that he had found some mushyrooms, which made Holly start to giggle!

 Mushy What?

 Roomsies?

You are joking 'aint you?

Oh No! I don't believe it, Mushy Rooms, Oh No that is so Ripe!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

And a bag of Mushyrooms!
