Getting ready for Santa Paws!

Hi, Ho, Ho, Ho, Woofers!

Us here, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

First, good news about Little Milly being sorted out, these vets charge a fortune but they seem to know what's wrong with a woofer!

Hey! We think it's great chasing that squirrel along the fence, super stuff! We don't see squirrels around here, not enough trees!

We have been making a list for Santa Paws and Old Two Legs says that instead of sending a letter we can do it on email!

I must admit that the list is a little long and mostly to do with food but I'm sure we will get a couple of items from the list!

May and Eric came out this morning for a run and had some fun digging on the beach, right up to the point when Eric said that his paws were getting cold and he needed a carry!

You know ferrets can get Chilblains!
Of course OTL gave him a carry until we got onto the grass path and he was down again and sniffing along behind us!

Miss May was galloping along as she normally does and they both dived into the long grass after more sniffs!

Lunchtime we woke Freddy up and told him he was going out!

Freddy was not too happy about that and insisted he has a snooze in the travelling cage!

Down on the beach it was Wendy who was having the fun! While I was rolling in a really stinky sniff little Wendy was digging a big hole and saying she was off to chase some rabbits!

Who needs a rabbit hole when you've got a ferret!
Now, all this Winter Solstice stuff and long nights is all OK if you like that sort of thing and OTL gets all excited when the clouds turn funny colours, just like today. Me? I'll just be glad when the Spring is here!

Reminds me of the painting by Turner, The Fighting Temeraire!
OTL says that the painting was supposed to be set just across the river with the ship coming out of Sheerness and heading up the Thames.

Yeah, OK, it's a bit boring when compared to a sea sniff but I will admit the colours look the same almost!

 Bye for now.

See you tomorrow.

It's the Winter Solstice Today!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

It's the shortest day of the year today, the Winter Solstice, also it will be the longest night!

We don't mind it being the longest night 'cos we get a bit longer in bed!

The ferrets say that their life is governed by the light so they are now looking forward to the summer!

I can see it won't be long before they start moulting and spreading hairs all over the place!

Mind you, at the moment they are all fluffy with their winter coats!

Eric de Ferret in Full Ferret Winter Regalia!
This morning when we went out it was almost summer! Old Two Legs got a bit hot in his jacket and scarf and both May and Eric ran all the way from the beach all the way to the car park!

Normally Eric tries to blag a lift but today he was enjoying the sniffs so much he forgot all about being carried!

Back home the ferrets normally get an hour to rampage around the house causing all sorts of mayhem but today Eric and May had a little play, then crept into the void under the sofa where they have a snooze.

It looks like the walk just wore them out!

Lunchtime we woke Fred and Wendy up to go for a run and although they both said they'd rather stay in bed, they both came along for a run.

Freddy would have rather had a carry but he did get going once he was on the top path!

His last run was across the football field and it was more of a 'waddle' than a run!

Almost there and I've got my Winter Coat on as well!

When we got home there was Auntie Sue and Nunkie Mike chatting with The Missus, well, that was until we came crashing through the door and gave them both a 'Woofers Welcome'!

Then we got a pressie!

Holly and I got super packet of chews and I will admit, I had two before anyone could blink!

Holly, has a bit of a grumbly tum and decided to wait until later tonight or tomorrow morning before having her treat!

It was lovely seeing them again and OTL spent time talking about cameras and lenses and caravans and....well Holly and I fell asleep!

See you all tomorrow!

Poor OTL gets Stabbed but it was Free!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Wot a dismal day it's been, well weather wise it has! This morning it was damp, drizzly, wet stuff and foggy as well!

In fact it was so bad Old Two Legs didn't even get his camera out of the car and instead he stuck his paws in the jacket pockets and shuffled along behind us whilst trying to hide away from the damp by snuggling down into his jacket!

We had to get back home soon 'cos OTL had made an appointment with the doctors to get protection against 'Dingles', well that's what we thought he said but Holly says it's called 'Shingles'!

Now, I thought that shingles were something to do with the tiles on the roof but Holly says it is something nasty that Two Legs get from infected children!

Remember what I said yesterday about mini TL's? You see the mini TL get Chicken Pox and it's over in no time but if they pass it on to grown up TL's it turns into Shingles and hurts like hell!

OTL said he had shingles that was passed onto him by one of his mini TL's many many years ago and he didn't want another dose!

So, there he was in the doctors and the nurse was explaining all about shingles and the effects that the injection could have, it was a bit like the adverts you get on the radio, you know.

'This injection will not stop you getting shingles but will help in it's prevention, however, itispossibleitwillgiveyouasorearmeormakeyourmuscleacheanditmayalsogiveyouagrumblytummandspots
onyournoseplusyoucoulddevelopefullblownshingleswhichwillmakeyourlegsdropoffandcauseseverespots
alloveryourbum.' !

Terms & Conditions also apply!

The only good thing was that OTL is such an old duffer that he qualifies for getting it free!

All those years paying National Insurance and all he gets is stabbed against shingles!

When he came back from the doctors he was limping which was strange 'cos we thought that he got stabbed in the arm! Holly says it may have been a long needle and that it was better not to ask or we could be there all day!

Come lunchtime it was still the same drizzly rain and grey foggy stuff!

Sniffs were hard to come by so we spent all of our time with our noses close to the ground!

Not exactly a prize sniff is it?
It was the same on the beach, all sort of damp but no sensible sniffs!

Maybe it's a crab wee?
Back on the football field there was a woofer barking his tail off, we didn't know what he was barking at and we stood for a little while just in case we could add our woofs but there was nothing to see!

Gawd knows! Maybe he ought to get a visit to the vet for some worming tablets!
So, back home it wasn't very busy, almost all of the paperwork had been done, all the suppliers have been paid and OTL was back to playing with the controls on his camera!

Tomorrow we got Auntie Sue and Nunkie Mike coming over for a visit. TM says she will be making some mince pies but without any mince meat, strange, wonder where she got that recipe from!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Another Frost Morning.

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here.

When we got up this morning it was another of those, 'is it?' Days! You see there was loads of frost everywhere and a good lump of fog so we had to look twice 'cos we thought it was snow on the cars!

Lucky for us, by the time we got to go out the fog had sort of drifted away, well most of in had and we just had to wait for the car engine to heat up enough to melt the frost on the windscreen.

Holly and I were huffing and puffing trying to warm up the air but it took it's time as it normally does!

One good thing as far as Old Two Legs was concerned, there was a good sunrise over the Grain Peninsula!
Sunrise over Grain.
We didn't take May and Eric with us 'cos it was rather cold, even though there was no wind, it was still frosty. Eric went back to bed and didn't wake up until we got back!

It wasn't such a heavy frost but it was certainly cold enough for us to wear our Flying Jackets!

It will be warmer when the sun creeps over the buildings in Sheerness!
Down on the beach we had some fun sniffing the sniffs and rolling in them!

Not that we cared if OTL told us to stop!

I've got my Anti OTL Filter on today, just can't hear a thing he says!
Back home we headed for our bed while OTL got going on the Poo Shovelling and trying to wake Freddy from his deep sleep.

He was so snoozy that he fell out of bed, slowly, and didn't even notice OTL putting the cushion under his head!

Gone, Solid one!
Lunchtime the frost had disappeared and the sun was out. There was no wind at all and the waves were tiny, however, I was still not allowed to go in swimming!

It still looks cold!
Now, wot's all this about Izzy's mum getting the sniffles? You would have thought that by now she had learnt that Mini Two Legs are carriers of the most terrible cold and flu germs know to the world!

They can be alright but they spread the germs all over the place!

OTL says that all children should be put in barrels until they are fifteen and then have the bung hammered in!

I'm sure he was joking, wasn't he?

A super bowl of chicken today, real woofer food and both Holly and I fell asleep after eating it all!

Super!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Damp Sniffs Today!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Now, wot a change from yesterday, I mean, it was almost mild down on the beach!

All the frost had gone and although there was damp, it wasn't too bad!

Mind you, May and Eric said it was too damp on the beach and managed to blag a lift until we got to the hill! Of course, then it was straight into the grass for a sniff and a run back to the car park!

I don't mind the cold but it's a damp paw I object to!
It seems that although they all have fluffy coats our ferrets are really happier in doors where it's warm!

You can tell that 'cos they seem to be more 'active' when they are jet out of the cage.

Freddy has a great time playing 'Tickle Tummy' and doesn't need a second invitation to 'Roll Over'!

Come on, just one more tickle!
Today has been a bit slow so Old Two Legs has been tidying the office up and playing with the camera. All we were getting was Flash!.......Flash!............Flash!.........Flash!

If that flashes one more time I'm going wee on it!
Lunchtime Freddy and Wendy came out with us 'cos it was warm enough for a walk. They played the normal game with OTL, you know, wriggle, wriggle, get down, crawl up OTL's leg, get picked up, wriggle, wriggle, get down, crawl up OTL's leg, get picked up again!

They had him on the go almost all the way to the football field!

When the sniffs are damp you have to work hard to find them!
This afternoon has been just as busy as this morning and both Holly and I retired to bed to catch up on our sleep!

Holly has just spotted the Doggy Scoff Tin, it's going to be 'One of Those Days'!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Woofing Cold!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

This has been a seriously cold day today!

I poked my nose out of the curtains first thing, it was still dark but it looked like it had been snowing! On a closer look I worked out that instead of snow it was fog, freezing fog and horrible thick frost on all the cars!

That means we had to sit in the car with the engine running and wait until the windows were de frosted!

It wasn't any better when we got to the car park!

Not even a Bunny playing snowballs!
Of course Old Two Legs was tickled pink 'cos the frost means there are plants with frost on them.

He found this one that had the frost but also there were also some black seed pods to enhance the frosty bits!

Pretty but still blooming cold!
We met up with Max and Oscar who had their warm coats on. We had never seen these types of coats on sale and OTL says that they looked dead smart!

The jackets OK but my butt gets cold if the wind blows the wrong way!
Back home we retired to the bed for a warming snooze while OTL 'De Pooed' the ferrets cages and after a bit of playing on the computer we decided to leave the ferrets at home and head off to see if it was any warmer!

It wasn't!

In fact not only cold but it was wet as well!

Let's not hang about too much!
As we were walking down to the beach we spotted a seriously Bozo Bozo charging about in the mud flats chasing the sea birds!

I mean, that woofer has some serious problems 'cos he took no notice of his Two Legs and spent all the time charging up and down the mud chasing birds!

A serious case of Bozoism!
We stood there for a couple of minutes before walking back towards the car. We came across his TL who didn't look as though she was going to very happy when he finally came out of the mud!

But was he enjoying himself!

You know, there are some dogs that give woofers a bad press!
We left him to it and were soon back home where we could sniff chicken being cooked!

It's going to be a good night!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A Day with OTL.

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Yep! It's Saturday and The Missus is off to the village hall for a fun day of glue & glitter slapping!

That means we get to have some fun with Old Two Legs!

It started off with us getting up about two hours later than normal! You see TM & OTL went out last night for a super evening with some friends and fellow glue slapper! That means they didn't get home until nearly midnight! In fact it was so late that they asked Auntie Sheila to come and let us out for a wee before bedtime!

We think Auntie Sheila is wonderful!

When we finally got out to the car it was covered with frost and it took ages for the car to heat up enough to de frost the wind screen!

Cold or wot!
Down on the beach it was frosty and cold and of course the sniffs were all frozen so we couldn't explore any new sniffs!

Cold Sniffs for us!
Holly and I explored the whole beach but sniff were hard to come by. Holly even suggested we try some digging but OTL pointed out that he had cleaned and applied cream to Holly's eyes and it wasn't a good idea to throw sand about!

It's not the same when your paws are cold!
OTL was thinking of a photographing something funny but to be honest, there wasn't much about that had us rolling on the ground!

Then we spotted it, well Holly pointed it out first, a giant OTL!

Well, you can't call him 'Short House'!
Lunchtime Freddy and Wendy came down the beach but decided that after a quick wee, a carry was more preferable!

It's a bit chilly on the ground!
On our way back we crossed the football field and Freddy decided he fancied a stroll especially as the sun had melted the frost on the grass. Miss Wendy was chasing after me cos she wanted to join in the sniffing!

Hey! Save a sniff for me!
Freddy wasn't so worried about the sniffs 'cos he was just enjoying a stroll across the grass!

I do love a stroll where I don't get my tummy wet!
On our way back the ferrets dropped into the village hall to wish all the ladies Merry Christmas and get a stroke and a cuddle. Holly and I stayed in the car 'cos OTL said we couldn't be trusted to stay away from all the food!

As if!

Back home we mugged OTL for a bit of his lunch and then settled down to watch some telly and await TM's return.

I wouldn't mind betting that TM will be off to bed as soon as it gets dark!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Do you get the feeling Winter is here!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

This morning first thing it was rather mild, in fact, it was very nice walking along the beach and dashing along the Sea Wall. The wind was gently blowing in from Essex and the sky showed us that there was a 'Front' coming in!

Looks like it could be cold when that from reaches us!
We didn't hang around 'cos Holly Chops had an appointment with the vet this morning to see about her eyes.

I didn't go with her 'cos Old Two Legs said that I 'Wound Her Up'. Me? As if!

Well, the vet had a look and poked around and OTL had to give a history of Conjunctivitis and Holly. After about three minute's the vet agree to dispense the eye stuff Holly had before and they were kicked out to pay the bill!

OTL was sobbing all the way home, he reckons he should retrain and become a vet and be rich!

Back home there was a gigantic bowl of chicken waiting for us both and we both ended up with rather big tummies!

We were late in getting out at lunchtime, in fact it was nearer afternoon than midday before we set paw out of the door!

The 'Front' had arrived, there was a stiff breeze blowing in from Essex and it was making our eyes water!

We turned to head up to the beach and with the wind blowing our tails about OTL was muttering about having to go back!

Cold enough to freeze your butt off!
We soon found out what he was talking about, it was not nice! OTL was saying that it felt as though his eyeballs had frozen solid!

He spent all the time walking back with his eyes closed!

Com on OTL, just follow my voice!
It wasn't until we got back to the car that he was able to open his eyes!

OTL has spent the afternoon on the telephone and computer making it look like he was doing something important!

Now, as you read yesterday, Mrs Sue is visiting us next week and wanted to know what to bring, well, a couple of small suggestions!

20 x Crispy Skinned Chickens
10 x Beef Steak, medium rare
4 x Well stuffed Turkeys (Crispy Skinned)
24 x Packs of Teeth Cleaning Chews
14 x Raw Hide Chews
10 x Fresh Carrots, all crunchy like.
4 x Packs of Bonio Biscuits

I'm sure to think of some more but I don't want to look greedy!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

The Ferrets get an outing!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back again!

It was a bit warmer this morning so when it came to our walk, Old Two Legs also got Eric and May dressed up in their harnesses!

Eric wasn't too happy about going out but May said she could do with a breath of fresh air!

Mind you, we have noticed that all the ferrets were going 'Stir Crazy' stuck indoors all day!

Down on the beach Eric decided that the sand was too wet and too cold for him and managed to get a carry from OTL!

I don't care about sniffs, my paws are cold!
Holly and I didn't mind the cold sand cos we we dashing up and down the beach!

This is better than yesterday!
Back home we were expecting a bowl of chicken but when we were called for breakfast, it was Doggy Scoff!

Oh! This is just too much, Holly was even talking leaving home!

That was before the Postman called. We had a big box delivered and The Missus said it was from Archie Babe and it sniffed of several very interesting sniffs!

Food Sniffs!

Is Archie Babe sending food parcels to us poor beleaguered  woofers?

TM says it can't be opened before Christmas!

A woofer can die of hunger if it was all left up to TM!

Lunchtime we were back down the beach again and to help us get over the hunger pangs Holly and I got into trouble 'cos we were nibbling away at the grass!

Freddy and Wendy decided to have a dig on the beach but the sand was still cold so instead they went for a sniff along the path back to the car!

I'd almost forgot what the sand felt like!
Back at the football field we were greeted by Darcy, who we bumped into yesterday. OTL was pleased to see Darcy and Darcy was tickled to meet up with OTL again!

Back home we heard OTL talking on the telephony thing booking Holly into the vets tomorrow morning at Nine Thirty. You see the conjunctivitis she had a few weeks ago didn't really clear up and she has a little bit of muck in the corner of her eye after a nights sleep. OTL has been washing her eye but it hasn't cleared up, so, back to the vet, get some more stuff to put in her eye and hopefully get it cleared up before Christmas!

As I said to Holly that she aught to be thankful that she doesn't need to be stabbed!

I'll let you know what happens!

If we don't die of hunger over night!

Bye Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

It's a 'Drab Day' but Profitable!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, it's been a funny sort of day, we woke up a little later than normal 'cos it was so warm and snugly tucked up close to Old Two Legs.

Downstairs The Missus and Holly were making a card with some tinsel on the top!

We had missed the sunrise or the sun was still in bed as the picture tells us!

No Sun and loads of Drab!
One of the good things to happen was young Barny II came bounding along the Sea Wall to greet OTL and say good morning to us.

Yo Girls! And good sniffs?
On a damp drab day like today the sniffs were hard to come by!

They have all gone! Nothing but rabbit poo!
Lunchtime it was still the same except it was raining! We didn't hang about too long and back in the car park OTL met up with Darcy who we haven't seen for ages!

Not the brightest vista!
Back home OTL got an order on email and set about doing the manufacturing and he was able to confirm the order and delivery for Friday!

He was quite a happy Two Legs as so far this month it has been a little slow, nothing unusual really but it was nice to get the order!

We have been doing some serious sniffing in the kitchen and Holly reckons that there is some steak thawing out. That means we can do some serious mugging tonight!

Let's hope tomorrow it is a bit warmer 'cos the ferrets all look like they are going 'Stir Crazy'!

Although they have been quite pleased with their time rampaging around the house, they say they have missed the sniffs!

Let's see what tomorrow brings!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
