Wot a Windy Wet Day!

Hi Woofers!

It's the Soggy Doggy's again!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Now, we have been looking at the weather forecasts over the last couple of days and listened to the doom mongers on the TV Weather Show. You could hear the delight in their voices as they were forecasting doom and gloom and rain and cold and....well you know how it is.

After a while you get used to all the doom laden warning as most of the time they happen to someone else up country!

Not today, this morning when we went out the wind was up to gales force and the horizontal rain seemed more like bullets trying to blind you!

Horizontal Rain and a Beach Wash please!

Even Old Two Legs had to walk backwards for a while on our way back to the car!

He didn't have his Gortex Trousers on so he got soaked to the skin from his waist down to his boots!

Soggy OTL!

Mind you, we only had our rain coats on so we also got soaked from our tummies to our claws!

Soggy Doggies!

Lunchtime was no better except that OTL found his plastic Gortex trousers and instead of getting soaked with rain, he got all sweaty around his tail!

The rain was still horizontal and the sea was washing the beach right up to the sea wall!

It will be fun to see what is left of the beach when the tide goes out!
Further along the sea wall the sea was jumping over the Sea Wall and we hear that someone got washed off a Sea Wall a bit further down the coast!

Tomorrow it should be more of the same so we are planning just a quick wee and a walk tomorrow, then back home for a snooze and a nibble of OTL's latest batch of Beef Jerky made with Maple Syrup and Whisky!

As OTL says, 'Wot a Waste of good Whisky'!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A change of Camera.

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Now, you know that one of Old Two Legs hobbies is photography and how he always seems to have a camera in his hand come rain or shine.

Everyone nowadays seems to use their mobile phone as a camera and clicks away at everything with abandon!

So, OTL being a bit of a stick in the mud has been sticking to the old cameras but finally he has read the instruction manual (RTFM) and the last two days he has been using the phone for pictures.

Yesterday OTL was snapped by The Missus when he was giving young Eric a cuddle, while I was keeping guard on the arm of the chair!

You make sure you stay there or there will be trouble!
 It worked!

Sometimes I don't like woofers!
We left the ferrets at home while we went out for our morning walk. It was rather windy and just a bit chilly. Did I hear something about snow soon? I'm sure I did but we will all keep our heads down until it goes away!

Talking of keeping your head down. when Fred and Wendy have their rampage around the house they like to find a place to have a snooze. Freddy prefers crinkly shopping bags inside a big cardboard box. Not very inventive but Freddy likes it!

On the other paw, Wendy has found a new place for a snooze, one of TM's plastic boxes she keeps her 'Crafty Aprons'.

To begin with you would never know she was there, just look at this.

OK, spot the ferret!
OTL has looked in this box several times when he has been looking for Wendy when it's time for her to get back in her cage.

Now he has sussed it!

Here's Wendy! All snoozy!
Freddy always insists on getting a slurp or two before going back to bed!

Mmmmm, you can't beat a slurp of Ferretone!
Mind you, it is never enough to have one slurp and of course, Freddy normally gives OTL a lick on the nose or cheek then looks at the bottle of Ferretone, there is no way you can miss what he is after!

Another squirt please OTL!
It was windy and just a little too cold at lunchtime. Eric and May came out with us but wouldn't leave OTL's arms until we turned back to the car. It was then that they both got down, had a wee, then ran almost all the way back!

Too cold and windy to hang around here!
That'll keep them warm!

This afternoon was full of F1 Racing and it was not so much as who would win but more like who will survive!

End of the month tomorrow, so it will be busy busy getting all the bits ready for the accountant and then into the caravan to start putting everything back that has been taken out, like the battery for instance!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A Prezzie for Rosie!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Ain't it great to wake up and know that it's the weekend? The Missus was happy it was the weekend 'cos today she she was off to her 'Crop' at the village hall.

Now normally she just gets up early and makes a noise to wake everyone else up but today she was extra excited to be going out and got up even earlier and made extra amount of noise and on top of that managed to get in the bathroom before Old Two Legs which then made us a whole ten minutes late in going out for our walk!

Down on the beach it was all grey and damp again and there was a light dusting of rain drops which made our tails wet!

Back home the ferrets were having a great time, Eric and May were in a particularly good mood and played 'Fighting' all over the lounge and under the furniture. There are plenty of ferret sized holes in the workings of the sofa and armchairs all of which Holly and I can't get into but Eric and May can climb into and it makes a super place for a quick snooze between racing around and under the furniture!

Holly and I are allowed to hide in the bedroom and OTL makes sure the door is closed 'cos we don't do the sort of games that the ferrets do and he is afraid that we might just get upset if a ferret bites our tails!

Well, wouldn't you?

Freddy and Wendy love having a game as well but maybe not so fast as Eric and May.

May loves it when OTL rolls her on her back and tickles her tummy, she tries to roll into a ball and nibble OTL's fingers as he tickles her but what is funny is the chuckling Wendy makes as OTL is doing it!

Freddy loves a tummy tickle as well but he just rolls onto his back without OTL touching him and when OTL gives him a tickle, Freddy grabs OTL's finger with his front paws then grabs it with his teeth!

Lucky for OTL, Freddy doesn't bite, more of just holds it for a few seconds before letting so OTL to tickle Freddy's tummy again!

Now both Freddy and Wendy also have 'Mid Rampage' snoozes and can be found inside the furniture but Miss Wendy has found a new place to have a snooze.

You see TM had a little clear up in her 'Card Room' and putting her aprons in a box on the ground shelve, has made a super bed for Wendy to have a snooze in!

Today is the second time she has 'Found' this bed and we can reckon she will find it again!

After all this rampaging, the ferrets get tired and in need of a snooze, so, our lunchtime walk was done without the ferrets, which is a bit of a pain 'cos we had to pick up the car from the village hall after TM had transported all her card stuff up there.

Now normally Freddy and Wendy would have been with us but Wendy was just too exhausted and in need of a snooze so she didn't get her cuddle from Rosie who just loves Wendy and they always have a cuddle.

To make  up for Wendy's lack of attendance, she made up a picture in a frame for Rosie and we had to deliver it!

Just for Rosie!
Down on the Sea Front it was still raining but not so heavy but damp all the same.

We were walking around having our normal sniff and a wee when we heard someone call out 'Hello Girls'

At first we couldn't work out from where it was coming!

Well, I can hear it but who is it?
Then, puffing and blowing, along came Sid The Streak on his lunchtime jog along the Sea Wall, 'Hello Girls' he called out, 'Can't stop, trying to beat the record!'

Sid The Streak on a Mission!
We didn't bother to ask him what record he was trying to beat as he does make a big song and dance about keeping fit and regular exercise!

OK, we are off to see what OTL has for dinner tonight, I know we got Doggy Scoff and that's not much fun!

Archie's Mum was big and brave, I mean, a whole gallon of water and then laying down to have your tummy photographed? I would have wanted a wee first before posing for a photograph!

Best of luck with the Skin Doctor, let's hope it's all good news!

See you tomorrow,

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A Soggy Friday!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

After all that sunshine I thought that summer had really arrived, well that was until I listened to the weather forecast threatening snow soon!

We were up early this morning 'cos The Missus wanted the car to cart off all her boxes of glue and glitter up to the village hall. So, there we were at the crack of dawn being hurried along the sea front while above us the rain trickled down our collars!

We had a fast walk 'cos the rain was falling and we didn't like the idea of getting too wet!

This sniff is just too damp!
The council have been out cutting the grass and the rabbits have all been deprived of their hiddy holes!

The only problem is when the stay still, they are difficult to see 'cos they sort of blend in with the bracken!

So, it was that we missed the bunny that was standing perfectly still.

OTL somehow spotted the bunny and as soon as Holly and I passed, the bunny shot off with it's little white backside bouncing up and down!

I'm a Speedy Rabbit and you can't catch me!
So, we will be keeping a closer watch on the bracken for bunny rabbits with wobbly white backside!

While we were waiting for Old Two Legs to finish cleaning the cages, Holly was swatting up on the torque settings for the caravan wheels. She was also looking at all the information that there is stamped on the side wall! You have the diameter and the width then the build of the tread and tyre wall. Then there is the speed the tyre can go and and there is the date of manufacture as well!

Dead clever or wot?

Looking at the Owners Manual they give you the torque setting you must have the bolts that hold the wheel onto the brake drum!

Holly was well informed on all the details when we got into the tyre fitters!

She kept a close eye on what they were doing and also made sure the wheels were balanced so we don't get any vibration as we cruise the motorway heading off to our holiday!

So, without any problems we got the tyres fitted and then back home again.

Lunchtime we went for a walk with Eric, well, he was on his lead and harness while Holly and I were let off the lead for a rampage!

That didn't stop Eric from having his own rampage and he had a great time, even walking all the way back to the house down the path!

We left OTL to do his work, today it was the VAT payment, that always upsets OTL, then there is the paying of outstanding invoices, that makes him cry as well!

Not sure what is for dinner tonight but we will start by mugging OTL!

 See you all tomorrow!

 Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Loads of Rubbish!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Old Two Legs was up a whole twenty minutes late today, so, that means we were late in getting down to the sea front. There were no woofers down there so it was a quiet stroll along the Sea Wall and plenty of time for a sniff!

It's a bit drafty but at least the sky is blue!
One of the thing planned for today is to get the caravan ready for tomorrow and also get rid of a load of rubbish down the Municipal Tip!

Now, if you are a woofer you are guided by your nose and a Municipal Tip is a place that provides sniffs in abundance!

Unfortunately OTL wouldn't let us out of the car 'cos woofers aren't allowed out of the cars!

We did have the windows down in the car so we could enjoy the sniffs and woof at other Two Legs who were getting rid of all their sniffy rubbish!

Back home little Eric was playing his normal trick of rattling the cage door and driving OTL mad!

So, it wasn't too long before Eric and OTL were heading for the football field again!

Eric really got into this solo walking and decided he would have a run and run he did! He was even doing some jumps as well! There were some mini two legs playing in the field and of course they spotted Eric dancing around and came over for a stroke and take some pictures as well!

By the time Eric got back he was a little worn out and it wasn't too long before he was asleep!

We left OTL to get on with his work and set about snoozing under his work space!

Tomorrow will be fun, we will be off with OTL to get new tyres fitted to the caravan and we will be going with him to make sure they put the wheels on properly!

We'll let you know what happens!

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A Bumblebee Bomber!

Hi Woofers!

Guess who? Yes, it's Daisy, Holly, Miss May. Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

You know, we thought that we had the only Two Legs who used a smoke alarm as a cooking timer!

You know, we even have one in the caravan!

Maybe that's why Old Two Legs prefers a Take-a-Way when he is on holiday, less chance of being fried to a crisp!

The sky has been cloudy today and the threat of rain has been there but luckily, just wind and grey clouds!

An April Morning!
Holly and I had a close shave today, not the shave with the electric razor though!

Let me tell you.

After our morning walk we normally get to have a snooze on the bed while OTL does his cage cleaning and the ferrets get a chance of a rampage around the house. Now, to let the sniff of the TL's out, the bedroom window is left open and by the time OTL is finished the air is nice and wooferfied!

Well, today, there we were snoozing gently when there came a thunderous buzzing sound!

Holly and were up and on guard duty in a flash!

Then we spotted it, a thumping great Bumblebee and honest, it was the size of Robin!

It was all angry and buzzing like an electric drill!

I'm a good catcher of flies and they sometimes get into the house but there was noway I was getting close to that thing!

Both Holly and I stayed on the bed and woofed our tails off until OTL came is and with the help of his Indiana Jones hat, scooped the bee up and tossed it out of the window!

He is so brave sometimes!

I don't care, there was no way I was going near that buzzing bee!
Mid morning OTL went off to set up renewing the tyres on the caravan and on Friday he has an appointment!

When he came back young Eric de Ferret was getting all excited and was rattling the cage door wanting to get out again for another rampage!

OTL got fed up with Eric's cage rattling and got Eric dressed up in his harness and took him out for a run across the football field behind our house!

He just loved that, all on his own, he ran around all over the place!

OK, where is the ball?
Lunchtime we were out again and yes, Eric was up for another run! This time Miss May was with him and the pair of them had a great time ferreting about in the grass!

No Buzzing things here!
Tomorrow we have got to get the caravan emptied of stuff  'cos OTL has got to fit a new battery, so there is going to be fun as we play in the caravan while he is working outside!

Let's hope it doesn't rain!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May. Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Back to April Weather!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

We are back to normal again! Gone are the sunny days, the warm sun shiny breezes and everyone smiling at us!

It's back to typical April weather, grey sky's, threat of rain and temperature going down so fast we think it has crash landed in the sea!

Old Two Legs didn't go out in the garden to have a rake of the weeds. He has put down a plastic sheet to kill off the weeds and is planning to get a couple of bags of stones to keep the sheeting from blowing away!

On our morning walk we met up with a couple of Husky Type Woofers and of course they both headed for OTL so they could get a tickle on the tail!

Wot Big Blue Eyes You Have Got!
The sun was behind the clouds but we couldn't entice it out any further!

No Sun Today!
Lunchtime we took Freddy and Wendy out for a run. Wendy was all up for a jog around the park but Freddy Boy just didn't fancy exercising his legs and got OTL to carry him especially when he told OTL that his legs had all dropped off!

Honest! All four have dropped off and are in the grass somewhere!
Trouble is, we all know what Freddy is like and we don't take any notice of him any more!

Wendy was tickled pink to get a run in the grass, she even managed to have a roll in a sniff, just like Miss May did yesterday!

If he has lost his legs then he can just find them on his own!
Back home we all crashed out for a snooze while OTL went out to see if there was any tadpoles swimming in the pond but he didn't spot any, maybe they have all gone looking for the grown up flogs that hide in the garden!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Happy St Georges Day!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Wot a super day it's been, sunshine for most of the day, we get resupplied with chicken nibbles, St George has the day off and Old Two Legs downloads some pictures from his trip to Isle of Mull!

We were out early this morning but missed seeing young Hobo so we will have get up a bit earlier tomorrow, providing OTL doesn't over sleep!

Lunchtime Eric and May came out with us and May is just as bad as us woofers for rolling in sniffs.

She has even suggested we change our names to 'Sniffers'!

As if!

Mind you, there were a couple of branches on the sea shore that had some interesting sniffs!

Branching out with new sniffs!
Miss May found a sniff that took her a whole five minutes, no wonder she wants to be called a 'Sniffer'!

You just can't beat a good sniff!
Half way back to the car Eric tried Freddy's trick, but it didn't work and they had to walk all the way back!

We've both got broken claws and sore paws!
This afternoon OTL dug out some of the eagle photos he took and there was one sea gull sort of bird. Why the sea gull was asked?

Just practising says OTL!
Then along came the eagle and dived down low, getting ready to pick up the herring the captain had thrown out of the boat!

Adjust speed, flaps down and get ready for undercarriage to come down!

Undercarriage down and ready to collect!
Then off he flew back to the nest to eat it!

Lunch collected!
Old Two Legs is getting better at capturing flying eagles from a very rocky boat!

We will have to have a look at his other pictures and see what else he has done. We know there are no otters which is a shame cos the ferrets are related to otters and we would love to see what they look like up close and do they enjoy a roll in a sniff?

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

A Hot Day for a Marathon!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Now I suppose you all noticed that there was no blog last night, sorry, you see Old Two Legs was messing about with 'Stuff' that has arrived in the few days he has been gallivanting around the Isle of Mull. By the time he had got most of it sorted, The Missus arrived back from her 'Master Class' and announced that we will have a 'Chinese Take-a-Way' King Plawns, Plawn Clackers and all the normal tasty bits!

By the time we had finished all that it was late, so late that we all forgot about the blog!

Coupled with the fact that after the long drive back home, OTL said he felt 'Too Tired' to do anything but go to sleep!

We didn't mind that cos our tummies were full as well and a sleep is a good 'after dinner' exercise!

Going to bed early means we get up early but not so early that we catch the sunrise.

Not so much Sun Rise more like Sun Risen!
Mind you, as today is the 'London Marathon' we spotted 'Sid the Streak' out for his early morning jog along the sea shore!

Can't stop, I'm ahead of my 'Personel Best'!
I spotted a couple of rabbits munching on the grass but I just didn't feel like chasing them!

OK, I see them but I just don't fancy the run!
We met a new woofer on the morning walk, he is a 'Rescue Dog' who goes by the name of 'Hobo', that was the name the Rescue Centre gave him. He was a bit jumpy and very unsure of himself and you know what, even OTL couldn't interest him in a tickle!

It is good to see a rescue dog cos that means they have found a 'Forever Home'!

Your not going to eat me are you?
Lunchtime it was getting hot and the ferrets decided they wanted to come with us for a walk. It was rather hot but OTL had drinking water in the car and a bottle of water with a spray trigger on the top which both Eric and May got a cooling squirt before getting back in the travelling cage!

Come on, give us a lift!
The rest of the day has been full of manufacturing and when that was finished OTL was out in the garden digging up plants from around the pond that we think last year managed to kill off anything that was growing in the pond!

After filling the waste bin full of this weedy stuff he gave up and said he may have another go tomorrow!

So, that's it for today, I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine, OTL is, he says he hasn't seen sunshine for such a long time.

Me too!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Flying High'ish!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Wow! Hasn't it been hot today, almost too hot to get into trouble!

We heard from Old Two Legs that the clouds were still there and the wind was just as bad! Mind you, no rain, so that is one blessing!

They haven't seen so much as a sniff of an otter and the 'Wildlife tours' that ferry two legs around to see all this stuff are having problems finding otters as well! They say it is because it is 'Frog Week'!

Seems the otters all go up stream hunting frog spawn as a treat instead of munching on crabs and fish!

Well, that is their excuse anyway and that is the one OTL is using!

They have seen the eagles, in fact they have seen three eagles that have come down to visit the boat to get their herring! OTL can't get to the pictures in his camera cos he forgot the patch cable, so we only have Alun's pictures.

Here is Alun's picture, well one of them!

Herring for the eagle and Cullen Skink for Alun tonight!
Poor Archie Babes Boy, fancy going to the TL's vets and them not knowing wots wrong! I mean was it a vet doctor type or a gynaecologist he saw?

If us woofers got to the vet with a sore paw we get a needle in the bum a pack of pills to take away the infection and a big bill!

Sometimes I thing the TL's have got it all wrong and we should all go to the vets!

Tomorrow OTL is heading home, so that means we will have to go back to sharing the bed with him again!

He says he has brought some chocs for The Missus but he may pinch some to go with the bottle of Tobermory Single Malt that he and Alun did some 'Serious Damage' to last night!

That is if he is brave enough!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Bad News and Good News!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

I must admit that when Old Two Legs is away, we do tend to spread out on his side of the bed and his pillows are just super for snoozing on! Holly loves to lie on her back with her butt on the pillow while I love to sort of flop on top and rub my nose across the pillow!

The Missus has been crafty today, we had to have our worming tablet and she didn't get full instructions from OTL on how to get it into our tummies, so, we have had all manner of stuff wrapped around the pill to get us to eat it. I mean, the thing is the size of a dustbin lid and tastes horrid!

In the end we had worn it down enough to finally swallow it and then get a chew as a treat!

We love treats anytime!

The bad news is.

OTL has been out again with Alun looking for eagles and otters.

No otters! Not one sniff of an otter!

Alun says that there are no otters on Mull, just toys in the shop window!

They have seen Buzzards and Deer and Heeland Coos and OTL reckons he saw a Golden Eagle but it was so high in the sky that he couldn't positively identify it but he says he will put a tick against it and claim it as 'Seen'

Now, in Tobermory there is the distillery wot make a quite passable Malt Whisky and OTL has been banging on the door ever since he has arrived. The problem was, he was either too early or too late to buy a bottle.

OTL was not a Happy Chappy, until today.

Getting back from a day hunting otters he arrived in time to buy a supply and a couple of glasses, so you know what he will be doing tonight after dinner!

So, that is the good news

That means tonight OTL will be a Happy Chappy and tomorrow he will be out on the boat snapping away at a Sea Eagle, so he will be a doubly Happy Chappy!

You can tell that today wasn't too good, just look at the scowl on his face!

No Blooming Otters here!
 See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

We thought he was lost!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, you will be pleased to hear that Holly has almost got over her experience down at the vets. She keeps telling me the horrific details of the operation on her ear and how I've got to be gentle with her and let her get to the food bowl first and also have the best treats.

I'm getting just a little fed up!

I mean, they didn't even dig anything out!

She gets just one more day and then it's all back to normal!

Old Two Legs is getting in a bit of a state up there in wet Scotland. He has had nothing but high winds and wet! The pair of them spent two hours and twenty pounds trying to spot a Sea Eagle on its nest while the eagle stayed right at the bottom of the nest keeping the eggs nice and warm and stuff the visitors who want to take pictures or spy on her!

OTL has also been searching all the normal places for otters but not a sign anywhere! It seems that although the otters spend almost all their life in the water, they don't like rain and yesterday, it was raining!

OTL and Alun went out to eat last night and to help them get over their disappointment in not seeing and otter, they seriously damaged a bottle of Talisker Single Malt, got back to the B&B and went to bed early forgetting to let us know what they have been doing!

It's a good job that Holly sent them an SMS on the phone at four this morning to make sure they reported in!

We are expecting a full report tonight, or there will be trouble!

He has been warned!

See you tomorrow.

You know what? I think I have a hair in my ear as well and need a chew as a treat!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

How much for a hair?????????

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

As you would imagine, we have been a little upset today. Old Two Legs didn't come home last night so we had to spend the night on the bed without our OTL Water Bottle

First thing this morning we were out for a walk along the sea shore and just for fun we played a joke on The Missus. you see, she doesn't really know the games we play with OTL and when TM thinks she is in charge, we sort of disappear behind the bushes!

Holly got shipped off to the vet to have her ear poked and prodded and instead of a nasty little wriggly thing eating the inside of her ear the vet found a hair, yes, a hair!

Now I won't tell you how much OTL has forked out over the last few days but we reckon that the hair should be made of gold and studded with diamonds!

When OTL was told the results he said that Holly owes him some serious licks!

We settled down and other than a slight hookup with a chicken chew I tried burying in the garden everything has been fine today.

I mean, a woofer has to bury things and if it is muddy I'm bound to get some mud on my nose, and chin, and all around my face!

It's a doggy thing!

OTL and Alun arrived all in one piece and even managed to get an earlier ferry so that they could get into the B&B and get sorted before heading off to get some dinner!

Lucky OTL, steak and chips and salad while we got Doggy Scoff!

And you wonder why I buried the chicken chew!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Well, that was Summer!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Now, remember yesterday? All sun shine and rolling in the sniffs?

Summer is here and dancing around the May Pole?

Guess what it was like this morning.

I'm sure I left Sheerness here yesterday!
Well, we should have been able to see it but as it was so misty, foggy and too dark, we saw nuffin'!

Old Two Legs said that yesterday was Summer and now we are going into Autumn!
We didn't believe him but I must admit when Mr Corvid said he was walking and not flying, we began to wonder!

Naa Girls, it's Shanks Pony for me today, don't wanna get lost in the mist!
Lunchtime it wasn't any better and OTL took us for a walk along the field and across the football field, we could just see where we were going, providing OTL kept calling us!

Back home OTL was packing all his stuff away and loading the car up as well. You know, he even took some stuff to deliver to one of his customers on his way down to Alun's place.

I thought it was only OTL who worked on a Sunday!

So, he has now left us, we all had a cuddle and I licked his nose, as did Holly and we are now in the care of The Missus, should be fun, she has got a worming tablet for Holly and I.

That should take a week or so to get down our throats!

OTL is going to take the laptop computer with him so we may be a bit late getting the blog up and running.

Don't panic, we will be OK and Holly will be down to see the vet tomorrow, so that will be worth a tale!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Here comes the Sun!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, wot a day!

First of all, The Missus was up just too early for anyone to believe! Rattling around getting all her stuff ready for the Master Class today in the village hall.

That means Old Two Legs was up too early as well and of course, that means we were down the sea front very early!

Unfortunately, we didn't get a good sunrise, in fact it was rather 'Whishy Whashy' if you know what I mean!

Not really exciting is it?
OTL thought it would be better around the other side of the bush but by the time we got there.......

It's Gone!
Back home it was busy busy getting things sorted out and OTL was charging up all the batteries for the camera's and also 'Calabrating' them. So, instead of taking a couple of hours the charging was taking all day, or all night, depending on when he started the charging!

Lunchtime came and there was this thing hanging up in the sky, it was the sun!

No, really, the sun had finally come out and was shining down making everything sniff new!

We went for a walk over the football field and down the side of the field. The football field had just been mowed and that means super sniffs to roll in!

This is good, Oh, this is really good!
Even OTL was looking at the trees and telling us all about the leaves.

Boring!

Well, yes, I suppose it looks pretty!
Down the side of the field there were loads of new sniffs and loads of insects running about. We saw loads of ants running around making up for all the damp weather we have had of late!

These ants are everywhere!
We spotted a Painted Lady butterfly, the first this year and OTL chased it all the way down the path until he snapped this shot!

First one this year!
Tomorrow OTL will be finishing his packing and will be heading off leaving us behind. On Monday Holly goes in for her 'Proceedure' and will miss having OTL to hold her paw!

We will have to telephone him to let him know how it went and what they found in her ear.

Freddy said it was more than likely her brain leaking out!

Right, we are off to help OTL put all the batteries back in the case and if we get lucky, we may even get a bash at OTL's kebab tonight. If we don't get lucky it will be salad and ham for him!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Holly Chops has a Little Mate!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Good news! We can say with a certain amount of certainty, Sheerness is back where it is supposed to be!

I told you it was there, I could sniff the Kebab Shops!
Now, Old Two Legs reckons he has better eye sight than us woofers but we reckon it is only 'cos his eyes are six foot off the ground while us woofers eyes are only twelve inches above ground, however, I will admit I didn't see the Bunny in the bushes but OTL did and just to rub it in a bit, he took a picture!

Stay still and the woofers will miss you, most times!
Lunchtime we left the ferrets to sleep the day away and went out for a walk on our own with OTL. It was a good thing the ferrets weren't with us 'cos we met up with some Poodley Woofers and another woofer who looked like a Holly Chops!

We were all around the same height so we all had a 'Sniff In', just to say hello!

Nothing like a 'Sniff In' to make friends!
Of course, the moment the Poodley Woofers saw OTL they were off for a tickle and a stroke!

OK, sniff over, now for a stroke!
We headed back to the football field and spotted the Groundsman drawing white lines all over the place, getting ready for the football match next week. Holly said she wouldn't mind trying out for the team but decided to leave it when she heard that you couldn't bite the ball!

I mean, wot a silly game where you can't kill the ball!

It wouldn't be so bad but the lines wiggle in the middle!
Back home OTL telephoned the vet to get the results of Holly's swabs and was told Holly had an infection caused by Streptoecocklewogglewossit thingy. That was it, stop taking the ear drops and come down to the vet for a different ear drops and a rinse out of her ear!

Now that wouldn't have been so bad but after washing the ear, having some hair shaved off and that light thingy shoved down inside her ear, Holly and OTL was told that there was 'Something' right at the bottom of her ear!

Two nurses, the vet and OTL just couldn't hold Holly still enough to get this thing out, so, Monday morning Holly has an appointment with the vet and a syringe full of 'Knockout Drops' to send her off to snooze land so the vet can have a poke around with the light thingy and a pair of forceps designed for ear poking!

It's a pity OTL will be in Scotland but I'm sure The Missus will be able to cope and we can always talk to OTL on the phone and tell him all about it!

One thing Holly is not happy about, no food before getting the 'Knockout Drops'!

When Holly heard that all she would say was 'Rat Holes'!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!
