Dino Digging!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back again!

Well, we've had a good day today, the ferrets have been around the field chasing the pheasants mind you, they had no chance of catching them 'cos they had Old Two Legs in tow on the other end of the lead!

Do get a move on OTL,
Mind you the pheasants didn't hang about!

Watch out, Ferret and Two Legs coming!
Once we had finished out in the field and the ferrets were tucked up in their cages eating breakfast, we headed off to hunt dinosorearses!

We arrived at Kimmeridge Bay where there have been some finds from 150 million years ago! Looking at the cliffs you could see the different layers of mud and shale.

Kimmeridge Cliffs
While we were down there we met up with a couple of woofers who were down for a days exploration. First there was a little ball of fun that went by the name of Millie a super little Yorkie of just five months old!

Are you a Dino?
Joining in the fun was Ted a very gentle Airedale Terrier down here on holiday, just like us!

Ted the Airedale Terrier.
Ted said Hello to OTL and got a tickle on the tail as well! Ted  said he was looking for some Dinosaurs foot prints in the rocks but so far all he has found was Dino Poo!

Now, when we looked at the dino poo it looked just like lumps of rock, I reckon you had to have a strong insides to do that!

Talk about Rock Hard!

I went off looking for for prints, it was a lot safer than dino poo!

No Dino Poo here!
OTL found the remains of some sea animals that had been around 150 million years and that seems a long time to sit in the rocks!

These are Ammonites.
From there we headed into Swanage to do some shopping ant The Missus purchased a pair of Green Wellies!

We lunched on some fish and chips, well, OTL also brought some sausages for us woofers and he even pinched one for himself!

Back home we had a lot to tell the ferrets all about especially the Dino Poo!

As we were telling the story the sun went down and the sky looked all 'Dramatic'!

OTL loves Dramatic!

Night Sky
Tomorrow TM is planning to do some more crafting and of course there is the F1 Racing from Singapore!

Brrrm Brrrrm!

Hey! we think that Archie Babe did the right thing of getting rid of the Parlour Pong, mud and green slime is just the thing!

See you tomorrow

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A day of sunshine and rain!

Hello Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret again!

Well, last night it was a lot less noisy than the night before! We all got a good nights sleep, except when Old Two Legs was having a coughing fit!

Of course, then there was The Missus marching up and down the caravan going for a wee and getting all inspired and plonking about with jars of chemicals and bits of card and paper!

Today TM had told us all that today she would be 'Crafting' which normally means inky fingers and spots on the end of her nose that normally end up being a bright orange!

Just to help OTL, we were walked around the field by TM who didn't want us to hang about doing our business, so it was a case of a 'Three Legged Wee' on the run!

Then the sun came out and the ferrets decided they wanted to spend the day in the awning!

After getting all that sorted OTL clipped our lead onto me and collected Miss Wendy and Freddy and headed off around the field again!

We left Holly in the caravan 'cos she has got a grumbly tum and didn't need a second walk!

After getting back May and Eric were jumping up and down wanting to get out for their walk as well!

This was great, I got three walks around the field, loads of sniffs and I got to chase some of those daft pheasants!

Bozo Birds on the run!
Back at the caravan OTL has been checking the jacks on the caravan 'cos all this marching up and down by TM means the jacks keep settling further into the earth!

To give you an idea of what it is like, here is a van down the site a bit, you can see the problems we have 'cos our caravan is longer than this one!

Ours is about the same!
I think that if we come here again OTL will make sure he gets one of the flat pitches!

We were going to Monkey World but they don't let woofers in and won't allow any woofers to be left in any vehicle in their car park!

Well done to them but that means Monkey World is out this year!

We plan to get down the beach tomorrow but that will mean going down a toll road!

That should be fun!

With any luck we will find a dinosorarse and get it named after us, Woofasorus?

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Didn't it Blow!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Now, normally when we are on holiday we are in some wild and woolly place in the Highlands of Scotland and of course we are expecting winds and rain and snow and stuff like that. Down here in sunny Dorset we were looking forward to some warm sunshine and balmy breezes!

Last night when we went to bed there was a little rain tippy toeing on the caravan roof, a gentle sound to lull us off to sleep.

Then it started, the wind started slowly then sort of built into a howling blast that rattled the caravan and pounded the awning. Then the caravan started to sway and the wind was trying to lift the satellite dish from its flat 'Parked' position and send it off into the sky!

Luckily for us it stayed on the roof but it was beating up and down like a large cymbal!

We didn't sleep too much and both Holly and I cuddled up to Old Two Legs to keep warm and safe!

When the morning arrived, the wind and rain had gone! We were all still hear and OTL said that he had enjoyed his 'Two Dog Night'!

The internet didn't come back until mid morning but by then we had been out for a walk in the field with the ferrets, chasing pheasants!

Not that we caught any!

They went this way!
Mind you the field is big enough to get lost in and once off the lead we could do some serious running!

OTL was wandering along with his camera but we didn't see any of those pheasants but of course, we could see the caravan and The Missus inside having a snooze!

Ours is the one with the satellite dish poking up!

Look, there is TM!
On the way into the campsite we passed a door to a 'Hidden Garden' and of course OTL says he is going to take a picture using his 'Tilt/Shift' lens but today, just to see how it looks in the sunshine, he produced this master piece!

Well, it looks just like a wooden door to me!
The army ranges have been busy since we arrived and for most of the day they have been booming and rattling away with their guns doing wot army types do,  make a lot of noise.

Luckily for Holly, the banging noise they make has not upset Holly, it's those nasty whizz bangs in November that get her upset!

Hey! Bad news for Archie Babe, getting taken to the Poodle Parlour without any prior notice, I mean, a woofer has a reputation to keep up and a good sniff is all part of it!

Tomorrow, providing the weather looks dry enough, we may get down to the sea where all the dinosaurs are hiding and who knows, we might even find a Nargle or two!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

We're Here!

Yo Woofers.

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

You know it seems funny that we are not called McDaisy, I mean, normally when we are on hols we are north of the boarder! Well, now we are in Dorset in a place called Kimmeridge or close to Kimmeridge and we can see the sea about two miles away!

Old Two Legs pointed to a place between the hills and said it was called Portland Bill and if we couldn't see it, it was raining and if we could see it, it will be raining soon!

Ho, Ho, Ho, he is such a wag!

When we booked this place we had a choice of pitches and of course OTL chose a 'Flat' pitch but the day before we left we were informed that the 'Flat' pitches were all waterlogged and we had to go onto one of the 'Sloping' pitches.

So, I'm not saying that the pitches have deep slopes but when we go out it is 'Ropes and Crampons'!

OTL had developed a chest infection and is slurping down 'Cough Mixture' which keeps him from coughing too much and so far we have not been woken up at night!

Right behind the caravan there is a whacking great field that is designated as 'Dog Walking Area' it is so full of strange sniffs that Holly and I just don't know where to start!

There are loads of Pheasant birds all over the place, young ones that they look after, feed and care for.
Then later on this year they are all let loose and Two Legs with guns shoot them all!
Sounds a stupid as those TL's up on the Yorkshire Moors who do the same thing!

The pheasants down here have mostly escaped the pens by flying over the top of the fence which is designed to keep foxes out but they haven't got the sense to fly back at night and instead sleep in the undergrowth.

That is where the foxes get them for dinner!

OTL hasn't taken any pictures yet 'cos he has been busy setting up the caravan and awning but with a bit of luck he will be clicking away tomorrow!

Close to us is a place called Durdle Door which in by the sea, so I might get a swim in! Then there is Corfe Castle down the road a bit and The Missus says that 'Monkey World' is not too far away. That should be fun, we could meet some of OTL's relatives!

Right, we are off for a run around the field before the rain arrives!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

All packed and ready to go!

Yo Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

It has been a busy day today, loads of packing and storing and then re-packing!

Other than the last minute stuff, like water bowl and food tray and ferrets, we are almost ready to go!

The Missus is getting together all her crafty stuff she wants to take and all of the cupboards and storage spaces are stuffed full of paper, card and chemicals! Old Two Legs hasn't been in the caravan yet to see how all this stuff is spread out. If there is too much weight at the back or in the front then the van tried to 'wobble' along the road, a bit like Miss Wendy does when she gets a wiggle on!

We reckon the will be some last minute adjustment before we go!

Today OTL remembered to take the ball down to the beach but unfortunately the tide was out!

Holly and I did some dashing along the beach, chasing the blue ball that OTL has secretly hid in the ferret bag!

He's taken it back and put it in the ferret bag!
Eric and May were digging in the shells looking for any new sniffs.

I told you they would loose that ball, they should have kept it!
Lunchtime we were down for a walk but half way around the walk it started to rain! That was it, we all turned around and headed back. Freddy and Wendy even climbed up into the ferret bag to get out of the rain!

By the time we got back to the football field the rain had stopped, so we had a quick game of 'Chase the Ball'.

After a while I got a little bored, well, I mean, I'm a terrier type not a retriever!

Well, I happened to turn my tail and before  I could do anything, the ferrets nicked the ball!

OK, Got IT!
Freddy kept on jumping up and down and shouting out 'On Me 'ead!' After a while Wendy kicked it up and towards Freddy who missed it all together and he ended up rolling on the ground!

Do it again! Do it again and I'll get it!
Before Wendy could get to it I dashed in and grabbed it and ran off!

OTL was going to throw it for me but it started to rain again, so off we went, home!

It took a couple more hours before we had everything ready for tomorrow. Now all we have to do now is get an early night and an early stat tomorrow!

The caravan site says they have Wi-Fi so I should be able to share our fun with you all.

Bye Bye for now,

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Wot's your computer called?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, wot a story we have to tell! Old Two Legs has just changed over bookkeepers and decided to install a new 'Accounts Package' and to get a new computer with an up to date operating system.

Now, if anyone had tried this you will know that there are some serious button pushing to be done and a very steep learning curve to manage!

Now, we all know how frustrating  this can be especially when things go wrong. It is in times like this that we discover that OTL has a whole new set of words that he uses to try to influence the computers actions. The only trouble is, he uses all these new words that we are sure are not the real names for the computer.

Holly and I kept very quiet and we hid downstairs, not daring to get anywhere near OTL, so, that is the reason we didn't get to the computer last night!

Today has been better, he has been working through everything and is slowly 'building' the new system.

This morning The Missus left us and headed over to the village hall, she had got fed up listening to the all the name calling!

We headed off to the beach for our morning run. Holly and I were doing a bit of 'Dig and Whizz' while OTL was taking pictures of a big husky type woofer!

Just the one photo, OK?
Holly had decided that she would do a good impression of a beached whale!

Just catching a few rays!
Lunchtime Freddy and Wendy had some fun digging a hole in the sand and as OTL had brought a ball, Holly and I decided we would have some fun!

How about we extend it that way?
We both dug a big hole and then hid the ball at the bottom!

Let's see if OTL digs it up again!
Down on the football field we had a game of 'Chase the Ball' !

So where is the goal posts now?
It was funny seeing the ferrets watching us and knowing they wanted to play ball as well but we also knew that they would run off with the ball and hide it in their travelling cage!

How about you trip them up while I nick the ball?
OTL has been working on the computer but things have settled down now 'cos he took a break to wash the caravan so we will be travelling with a clean van!

TM has just come back from the 'Master Class' and it seems she has had a great time sloshing the glue and glitter all over the place!

Hey! Wot good news, Archie Babe has reduced the visits to the vet! Yay! Never mind the cuddles, it's those big sharp needles they stab you with!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Rain stopped play, sort of!

Hello Woofers!

It's the Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret Show!

Well, blog anyway!

As it is only a few days before we head off into the sunrise, Old Two Legs planned to wash the caravan today.

Unfortunately, he got bogged down with some other chores that had to be done, which included taking the weather thingy down from off the roof! After just three years it has decided to go all wobbly and give false readings, like, Outside Temperature, Sixty Degrees Centigrade!

Night time temperature Minus Forty Degrees Centigrade!

You know I thought it was getting a bit chilly at nights!

Well, after having a look inside and then telephoning the suppliers to find out they don't do repairs.

I think he had decided to bin it and get a new one!

Lots of tapping on the computer and searching different web sites, but no decisions yet!

First thing this morning Miss May and Eric were down on the beach with us, enjoying all the sniffs and a little bite of sunshine!

No! I'm not sniffing your tail!
In our house the ferrets seem to react the same to a walk. The Wimmin get going quickly and are soon dashing along the Sea Wall or up the Grass Path leaving the boys to cuddle up to their tails and try to blag a lift off OTL!

If I don't get a lift soon I'm going to freeze my tail off!
Holly and I had fun doing our 'Dig and Whizz' game along the sand, that was until we spotted some woofers heading our way. Both Holly and I did our 'Woof Off' woof and you know what? They turned off the Sea Wall and headed in land!
Hey Look! They are turning away! Result!
Back home OTL got the ladder out and was climbing all over the roof dismantling the weather thingy and opened it up to find it full of dead spiders and other bugs all sort of laying on their backs with their six legs in the air!

After getting it all down, it was time for our lunchtime walk!

It was lucky the tide was in and I got a dip in the water!

I forgot my ball and I couldn't find a stick to chase so I have been hunting sea weed!
Freddy and Wendy came along but Freddy says he is getting too old to do any running and he really needs a lift.

Now where have I heard that before?

I need a carry, it's my joints that are squeaking!
Back home OTL was all set to get the bucket and sponge out but it started to rain, so, caravan washing has been postponed until Saturday when we should see a 'Window of Opportunity' to enable the van to get a wash!

The Missus has been out all day today, she has been out at one of her Crafty Days with all her mates. Holly and I were sitting up at the bedroom window waiting for her and gave her a big 'Woofers Welcome' when she finally arrived home!

OTL has got to see his accountant tomorrow so we are not too sure who will be taking us out for a walk 'cos TM is going to get measured for some new glasses!

Bang goes the pension this month!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Back to Normal, whatever that is!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Last night we had a good snooze, no burping Two Legs or silly giggles!

The whisky bottle was empty and the bubbly was all flat, not that there was much left in the bottle!

Down on the beach we met up with a load of the lads and I got chased by young Prince who didn't seem to know that when I woofed at him, he shouldn't try to sniff my tail!

Back home May and Eric were let loose for a rampage while Old Two Legs de-pooed the cages!

As normal, Eric sees The Missus's craft space as one great big adventure playground!

He was climbing all over the place, upsetting bottles and stamp racks and piles of paper and, finally, he did a massive great leap and landed in the rubbish bin.

Unfortunately, TM had dumped some Jesso in there and Eric got turned into a Snow Ferret!

It took a lot of washing and scrubbing to get it off and after all that he still tried to jump into the bin again, just to see what was in there!

Down on the beach it wasn't too bad, not too hot, not too cold, not too wet!

It's a 'Not Too' morning!
Holly and I spent our time sniffing the air for new sniffs!

Fish 'n Chips with a dash of Kebab!
Back home it was 'As Normal' you know, poo shovelling and cage cleaning followed by some work, well that was Old Two Legs, Holly and I just made do with a snooze!

Lunchtime Fred and Wendy decided that they would come out with us 'cos the weather was still a 'Not Too' day!

Wendy does like having a run along the grass path, unlike Freddy, he likes a short walk, followed by long carry!

Miss Wendy enjoying a run on the football field!
The field is full of sniffs, there is the food sniffs and the woofer sniffs and the fox sniffs!

Sometimes a woofer didn't know which way to turn!

No! It's this way!
Freddy enjoys a trip across the field and reckons he could sniff mouses and shrews!

I just fancy a mouse!
Getting OTL out at lunchtime is great 'cos if you time it just right, the tide is in and the waves aren't too big! Mind you, I must get OTL to stick a ball in the ferret bag and he could throw it in the sea for me to chase!

All I need now is a stick or a ball!
This afternoon OTL has been working on the paperwork, you know, 'End of Month' stuff. Holly and I were downstairs woofing at the birds in the garden.

Up in the office, Eric had decided he needed a rampage, OTL let him out and the first place Eric headed for was the Cat Litter and spent some time trying to get in the bag!

Next he explored the drawers where all the balls are kept and had fun hiding the squeaky balls in new places under our 'Doggy Beds'!

We all got our 'Anti Tick' stuff and we all sniff horrid now!

The ferrets say the sniff is terrible but if it keeps the fleas and ticks away, they will put up with it!

It won't be long before we are off for our holiday and OTL says that if we are lucky we may see the bones of dinosaurs!

Now that will be something we haven't seen before!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Wot Fun!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

The last two days have been great fun! As you know, we had visitors, Alun and Glynis, Old Two Legs cousins. Now OTL just loves it when he meets up with them 'cos they always have fun reliving old times and planning for future 'adventures'. It was with Alun that OTL went to Orkney and up Glencoe and then down Glen Etive!

So you see, they are always getting each other into trouble!

This visit was no exception, Alun told tales of OTL falling into a boggy bit up to his knees after saying 'I know the way' 'SPLOSH!'

When we went for a walk at lunchtime OTL said that all along the Sea Wall and on the grass path it would be very wet so Alun had best wear his wellies!

Of course, when we got there it was perfectly dry, not a puddle to be seen!

The Missus said that she was fed up with making tea and coffee so she and Glynis did some serious damage to a couple of bottles of bubbly!

OTL didn't join them 'cos he was the one to drive down to the Chinese Takeaway and you mustn't drink and drive!

Mind you, when he came back with a mountain of stuff, he did open a bottle or two of beer followed by his favourite slurp, malt whisky!

Us woofer made little pigs of ourselves, there was rice and King Plawns and Plawn Clackers and bits of chicken and loads of tasty bits!

Both Holly and I ended up with very full tummies!

As the evening progressed I'm afraid that my blog sort of got pushed back a little and when it was time to go to bed, I had eaten so much my brain was all fuddled!

OTL was not help 'cos he was in a slurping contest with Alun and TM and Glynis were trying the same trick with the bottles of bubbly!

We all slept very well last night!

This morning we were all up late, TM looked sort of 'Tired' just like OTL! We headed out for our morning walk but Alun and Glynis were still asleep, too many Plawn Clackers Holly reckons!

We didn't take the camera 'cos it was raining, not very much but enough to get OTL to leave it in the office!

When we got back Alun and Glynis had just sat down to eat breakfast so Holly Chops decided to try some mugging but  that didn't work and Glynis finished off the bacon and the sausages and the eggs and fried bread and the tomatoes and the toast!

Wot a piggly!

Holly and I decided that we would treat ourselves to a long snooze this afternoon 'cos we deserved it! Especially as it was raining when we went out at lunchtime!

I do hate weeing in the rain.

Hey, we could make a good song out of that......... I'm weeing in the rain, just weeing in the rain, such a glorious feeling I'm happy again!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A Fox And a Nargle!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, after yesterdays rain and last nights floods, well there were puddles out the front of the house this morning!

Mind you, we did go through a couple of puddles on our way to the beach!

As we arrived, Old Two Legs stopped the car short of the parking place, then, slowly, he crept forward and parked the car.

Then.

He made us stay in the car and he got out the camera and went stalking along the bushes at the side of the car park.

Then we saw what he was doing and both Holly and I did our 'We're Gonna Get Yoo' woof!

One woof and it was off!
Well, that's one down, what's next?

Down on the beach we saw that the sea had deposited a ton and a half of sea weed on the sand. Now Holly and I tend not to get too involved with sea weed 'cos the bugs and sand flies hide in there.

Not so our Miss May, she just loves the stuff and is always diving into the stuff, head first!

Miss May, going potty in the weed!
Holly and I prefer the sand and the sniff hidden therein!

This is a good roll!
Lunchtime we were down on the beach but there was loads of tourists marching up and down the Sea Wall and most of them had dogs that were running all over the place. That means OTL spends most of the time watching for woofer getting too close and picking up the ferrets!

It was one of those times that Miss Wendy, from the safety of OTL's arms, pointed towards the rocks and calls out..........Look, A Nargle!

A Nargle looking like it's a bit Crabby!
We all had a good close look and after a while we decided that it was a crab, so Wendy is still looking for her Nargle!

It was good to get back home and we all sat down to watch the recording of the F1 Racing.

It looks like Hamilton is now in  the lead again after the easy win! I mean, Ferrari didn't even get close!

I think OTL has got Venison Burgers tonight, with some egg to dip it in!

Yum, Yum!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
