Sunday is a Good Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret enjoying a very lazy Sunday!

It started this morning when, according to The Missus, Old Two Legs was having a bad dream. 'Oh No!' he was crying out and waking us all up!

I'll sort him says Holly and gives his ear a good lick. 'Oh! Not Again' cries OTL and this time TM gives him a poke in the back.

'Grrumph...........No Not THat' explodes OTL!

So, I rolled over and gave him a good kick, that stopped him.

You see, he was having a nightmare and he was standing at the counter in the vets and was paying for a visit by all the woofers and all the ferrets at the same time!

I think that would be enough to give anyone nightmares!

Lucky for us it was just before getting up time and he fell out of bed mumbling something about being beaten up by a band of hooligan vets waving cold stethoscopes!

The morning walk was as dark as normal and there was rain in the air, so, we didn't hang about too long and were soon back on our bed snoozing out tails off!

Lunchtime came and we rattled the ferret cages to see if anyone wanted to come for a walk buy they were all asleep!

No Thanks, we are just Resting our Eyes, you go on your own!
We didn't mind 'cos that means we can charge around at our own speed without waiting for ferrets to finish sniffing!

When we got down to the sea shore it was all sunny and warm. You know those ferrets were missing out on a great walk!

Winter? More like early Spring!
We saw the Little Egret again and this time he had some of his mates spread about over the mud flats.

Just flap my web feet in the mud and the worms think it is raining!
Holly and I found an enormous sniff that spread all over the place. Now, either there was someone with a very big wee of this woofer had been back and forth a number of times!

Yeah! Over here as well!
As we were finishing the sniff we heard a commotion going on off shore, it was another Little Egret chasing off an intruder that had tried to take over the prized place on the mud!

'Oi!'  Naff Off, This is My Bit of mud!'
That was it, fight over in a couple of seconds!

Back home we decided to have a really lazy day, so, out came the Star Wars DVDs and we sat down to watch as many as we could before going to bed.

Now, all together..........A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

First Day of Winter!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holy, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret welcoming you to Winter!

Yep! First day of Winter today and not a flake of snow to be seen!

We were out early as normal and didn't bother with the camera 'cos there was no sign of a sun rise and the clouds were so low we could hardly see our paws in front of us!

By the time we had got home The Missus had packed all her stuff and had headed of to the village hall for some glue slapping!

That left us to enjoy the day!

After the cage cleaning we settled down to a bowl of chicken while Old Two Legs dashed around with the jet powered vacuum cleaner!

We were going to take out Monty and Wendy but OTL had been at all of us with the ant bug stuff he puts on our shoulders.

Holly and I got a splash and the ferrets got splashed as well. The ferrets hate this stuff and they wriggled about and show off something rotten!

So, lunchtime came and they weren't talking to OTL and went back into their beds and refused to come out!

Mind you, they didn't miss much and we just managed to miss the rain!

Just for a laugh, I decided to get all nautical!

There's rain over to the port side
We spotted the Little Egret paddling in the mud looking for some lunch.

Worms, crustaceans, in fact anything that's edible!
We don't often see the Little Egret, mind you he doesn't stop for a chat, more interested in eating!

He didn't hang about ''cos there was rain coming in off the sea.

There be rain off our stern!
All Holly said was for me to 'Stop Showing Off'!

Trouble with her is she is a show off that doesn't like someone else showing off!

Back home we had some more chicken then settled down on the chair with OTL giving him a cuddle while he read his book he started when we were last on holiday!

Good news about Archie Babes medication but not so good about the lack of cod! We can understand about him not getting any chips but a bit of cod goes down a treat!

We're off to see what OTL has for dinner, better not be scoff!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holy, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Last Day of Autumn!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

I don't know what it has been like for Archie Babe doing his Guarding Job but down here we had a dark morning but it brightened up later as the day progressed.

We left the ferrets in bed on our morning walk, mainly 'cos they were asleep in their new beds!

Mind you, they had to sleep in the new beds 'cos Old Two Legs had taken all the other bedding out!

Miss May has a thing about sleeping in the folds of a blanket, so, she was right put out that OTL had been messing with her bed!

Both her and Eric were cuddled up together first thing so no problems there!

After the lunchtime walk OTL put the blanket back and she was straight under and curled up in a snoozy ball!

When we went for our walk the sun was shining and there was a gently breeze blowing as well. That didn't make the ferrets happy 'cos they still wanted to be home in a nice warm bed!

OTL put them down on the football field but they didn't show any enthusiasm for running about!

May had a sniff but Eric refused to move!
They both got carried down to the Sea Front. Now, we fully sympathise with OTL, there he was cuddling two snoozy ferrets in his arms while at the same time poo bag in hand was chasing after us woofers! Picking up our poo while keeping he ferrets from ripping the bag open makes for a comical scene!

Down on the Sea Wall both ferrets were offered a chance of a run, Eric stayed where he was while May asked if she could get back into OTL's arms!

I'm going off this walking lark, can I have a cuddle?
Holly, who was standing by thought she would have a joke and asked OTL if she could have a cuddle as well!

Aw! Come on, just a little cuddle?
When we got back to the football field both Eric and May got down and trotted across the field while Holly and I went of sniff hunting!

Back home to our day beds and a snooze before dinner (Doggy Scoff) but we can still look forward to mugging OTL for a nibble!

Tomorrow The Missus is off to the village hall for some glue slapping, so that means we can have some fun watching TV and spreading crumbs all over the place!

Now we are not sure about this Fred Basset that Auntie Sue is cuddling up to, we know a few Basset Woofers down here, they are an unruly pack when they get going!

End of the month, end of the Autumn and tomorrow it's the first day of Winter!

It's all happening!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

A Lazy Day Woofing at the Two Legs!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret back again!

Well, another dark day. I'm wondering just when we are going to get a sunrise!

It's OK Auntie Sue saying it is three weeks before the equinox but you can get right bored waiting!

This morning it was dark and a bit damp, you know, that sort of rain that seems misty but before you know it, your tail is as wet as your tummy!

You know, that's the only advantage these Two Legs have over us, their tummy stays dry when walking over wet grass!

....and this is in colour, honest!
It wasn't much better at lunchtime. Today Eric and Miss May came out with us but spent most of the time inside the ferret bag trying to keep warm!

You mean we have to stay out in this wind?
There was a little walk then it was back into the bag gain!

OK....Quick.........Rush him now!
So it was a game of pick up, put down, run away and run back!

We all managed a trot across the football field but Holly and I were the fastest with Eric close behind. Miss May kept stopping but that was 'cos she got out of breath!

Tonight we got chicken and I think it will be another race between Holly and I mainly 'cos she reckons she is starving!

Poor Woofer!

Friday tomorrow, beginning of the weekend and the start of December, Equinox here we come!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret

Here comes the rain!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

You know, this time of the year the weather is best described as .......Miserable!

As normal it was dark when we got to the football field but there, in the distance, across the other side of the field was this green glowing LED light emitting from a woofer collar!

That was it, Holly and I were out and woofing our tails off but we stopped when we saw who was wearing it.

It was a big hairy butt of a gigantic German Shepherd with teeth like a tiger!

Holly and I stopped barking!

Most of the walk was in darkness and we were discussing how long it will be before the days started to get longer!

Holly says it is somewhere around Christmas!

Lunchtime we took Monty and Wendy down with us 'cos the wind wasn't too strong and the rain wasn't too wet! Mind you, that didn't stop Monty and Wendy from blagging a lift in the ferret bag!

Monty kept poking his head out for a look and at one time he was sitting in the bag, on Old Two Legs hand and looking out of the top of the bag!

The seat is ice and warm!
Once we were at the Sea Wall both ferrets were taken out of the bag ready for a run back to the car!

First of all they had to climb up the concrete steps. Now Monty is getting quite good at climbing up and we up in a flash and into grass!

One, Two and Up I Go!
Now Miss Wendy is a little slower in getting up 'cos she is a little shorter than Monty and it takes a bit of a scramble to get up the steps. A helping lift from OTL also helps!

One, Two and ..............I'm falling back, quick, grab my butt!
The ferrets love the football field, loads of mole sniffs for the ferrets while Holly and I wander around selecting woofer sniffs!

Yep! It's just over there!
Back home we all headed for the day bed while OTL played with the computer and the 'accounts'.

You can tell it's the end of the month soon, 'cos he always goes into 'account mode'!

Boring or wot!

Holly and I are off to see what's for dinner, more than likely Doggy Scoff knowing our luck!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Foggy Foggy Dew followed by Foggy Foggy Cloud!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret, Champions all!

Well, we are getting over our big, long, day! We have all been polishing the rosettes that are hanging on the cages!

First thing this morning we were out in the dark and foggy mist. The ferrets decided that bed is better than fog, so back they went to bed and a snooze!

As a treat, Old Two Legs has ordered a couple of hanging beds for the ferrets, they are described as

Rodent Hive Rat Ferret Bed! We saw them at the Harrietsham Ferret Show and OTL thought they looked all warm and cuddly for the ferrets!

They should arrive in a couple of days so we can see what our Champions think of them!

After the morning run, OTL cleaned all the cages and then packed up the laptop and headed out of the front door leaving us behind! Seems he had some 'reprogramming' to do at one of his customers. He took an hour to do all that and get back to us.

We managed to persuade Eric and May to come out for a stroll along the Sea Front. It was shortly after they landed on the grass that they were climbing up OTL's leg and straight into the ferret bag!

Oi! Shut that door!
OTL tried a couple of times to get them to walk but they were definitely more comfortable than paddling in the sea!

It looks too cold for us!
Holly is still upset about all the grass being cut, when she wants a private wee, everyone can still see what you are up to!

Where's a girl going to have a poo now they have done all this!
Half way back Eric stuck his nose out of the bag to watch the world go by. Of course, there was the usual question!

Are we there yet?
When we got to the football field both Eric and May got down and ran across the field, well Eric ran after he got brave enough to run but May was running then stopping to catch her breath then off again!

Soon they were back in the travel cage and heading back to a warm bed in their home cage!

It will be fun to see what the ferrets think of their new beds!

We have chicken today, so, off we go to have a taste!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

A Real Muggy Monday!

Hi Woofers!

Here are the Champions again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Wot a horrid day it's been! It was dark and wet this morning and later it was wet and dark then it changed to being light and wet and windy!

We went out for a walk but the ferrets decided to stay in their warm beds while Holly and I got damp!

When we got back from our walk we found Eric and Miss Wendy polishing their rosettes! Miss May said she had cleaned hers this morning before Old Two Legs had even got out of bed!

Monty has been full of fun today, he has been chasing Wendy around the house and Dooking his tail off. Then, when Wendy went to hide in the sofa, Monty started to chase OTL as he cleaned their cage!

In the end the cage cleaning was forgotten and both Wendy and Monty decided to bet up OTL!

I'm afraid that photography was out today, wot wiv the rain and the lack of colour made it all look yuk! The clouds were all flat and grey with no 'interesting' shapes!

Back at home we crept under OTL's desk and snoozed the afternoon away!

Eric came out and OTL took him for a run around in the bedroom, mind you, he shut the door so Eric couldn't get out and also to keep us out!

I must admit, Eric looks and feel all super soft and fluffy in his winter coat!

Miss Wendy is getting fluffy as well! May is a little fluffier than normal but nothing like Eric.

OTL says he loves cuddling Eric and tickling the back of his neck!

I think that there is Doggy Scoff today, that means we will have to do some serious investigations when OTL gets his dinner!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

We are The Champions, We are The Champions, no time for Losers!

Hi Woofers!

The Champions are here, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Well, what a day yesterday!

There we were, woken up early, washed, brushed and walked. The ferrets were given the last check over before climbing into their travelling cage and were loaded up into the car together with the hampers that the Allhallows Croppers had kindly donated. In the dark of the morning we set off towards Harrietsham Village Hall. You know, there were loads of ferrets there already, cages all festooned with Christmas decorations and lights.

So, where is Santa?
We got settled down and Holly and I were given the job of 'Stewards' to make sure the ferrets stayed in line and didn't get mixed up when their names were called for judging!

Of course, I was made 'Chief Steward' while Holly provided the 'Weight'!

Oi! You! Get back in line or I'll send Holly over to you!
Old Two Legs had entered Eric and Monty into the Pastel Polecat Hob section, Miss May went in for the 'Silver Jill' and the 'Veteran' sections while Wendy was in the 'Coloured Jill' section.

Those were the 'Serious' sections, of course there were other serious sections like Albino Hob & Jill and Polecat & Sandy Hob, then the Kits and Angora ferrets!

There was one section for 'Young Handlers' and OTL was the Judge on that one, mind you, he didn't get a badge like wot we did!

It took almost all day to get the judging done cos there were loads of ferrets, so, while we were all waiting to be called, there was a section called 'Fun Games' and this involved shoving a ferret in one end of a cloth tube and seeing wot ferret got out of the tube first!

Well, Eric was first and on the word 'Go' off he went, problem was, he got tired half way down the tube and decided to have a snooze!

Failed!  No more racing for Eric!

Next Monty was into the tube and he came out second!

Onto the next round.

This time Monty started off well but sort of stopped half way down the tube. This allowed the ferret next door, a big , big ferret to get into Monty's tube and chase him back down the tube again!

This scared Monty, cos he's only a little ferret, until he grows up a bit!

OTL rescued little Monty, just in time, so after that the ferrets didn't bother with the Fun Games and instead took a tour of the ferret cages, blowing raspberries at the other ferrets and calling out 'Loser!' to them!

Hello Losers!
We had Missy Sue and Michael and Margaret visit us and check out the ferrets, it was good fun to see them and Michael took loads of pictures of us all! Missy Sue stuck her finger into a ferrets face and got a nip for her mistake! Still, you can't say you are a ferret person until you have got the scars to proove it!

OTL cleaned her finger and stuck a plaster on it!

But I don't like saying Cheeeese!
Late in the afternoon the awards were announced.

The Fun Games went first and prizes were handed out to the winners and then the 'Christmas Cage'!

All very pretty but is is Poo Proof?
After that the 'Serious Stuff' got going!

A Table full of Dreams!
Miss May got second place in he Veteran section, she was dead chuffed about that one!

It's May wot won the Veteran Section, not OTL!
Next, Miss Wendy got First Place in the 'Coloured Jill Section'!   FIRST PLACE! She was jumping about all over the place cos that is the first prize she has ever won!

Miss Wendy's First Prize!
Next it was Eric, he was given First Place in the 'Pastel Polecat Hob' section. You should have seen him, he was strutting about doing his Ferret Dance stuff all over the cage!

This one is for Eric!
It was a super time we all had and like Michael said, 'This is the start of Christmas!

We had nothing to do but to pack it all up and head off for home.

Monty said that he had been taking notice of all what was going on and next year he reckons he will be getting his own prize!

So, at home we have the rosettes pinned up on the cages and Holly and I were allowed to pin our rosettes up there as well!

Last night the ferrets were partying almost all night long, we could hear them singing and dancing and making a terrible racket! It was at least four in the morning before they packed up and headed for bed!

Today they have been tucked up in their beds snoozing the day away, well, looking good all the time can be so tiring, as Holly and I know so well!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Getting ready!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

We were out this morning at our normal time and it was so dark that we thought Old Two Legs had got out an hour too early!

It was terrible, dark, no sunrise in fact it was horrid!

The only good thing was the temperature, it was warmish and to be honest, rather pleasant!

Too dark for any sort of photograph but Eric got his run in the dark and was diving into the grass pretending he was chasing a Niffler!

Back home we let OTL get on with the 'Friday Jobs' on the computer, after he had cleared all the cages!

After a relaxing morning we were out again and other than being a bit lighter, it was all the same as this morning!

Do you believe in Deja vu?....Dunno, didn't you ask me that yesterday?

Both Monty and Wendy were hiding in the ferret bag but got out when we got to the Sea Wall, then, after a few minutes they were off heading back to the car!

Come on, it's this way, I can sniff Eric!
This afternoon we have been getting the travelling cages ready for tomorrow, beds and water bottles and food bowls and paper to poo on!

We decided to leave the Christmas Decorations out of the cages, well, we don't want to distract the ferrets from getting ready but when it comes to the games we will be entering Monty and Eric in such games as 'The Fastest Ferret out of a Bag'!

We are off now to get an early night as we have to get up early tomorrow.

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Cattle Racks, Eye Balls and Plawn Clackers!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here at last!

Sorry about yesterdays report but we had a very busy day. It started well, well we were up early and that's OK 'cos we caught the sun rise. Not the most dramatic shot but better than nothing.

Sheerness in the morning!
Another thing we saw was a Kestrel looking for some lunch but we didn't see him pick anything up.

Looking for lunch!
When we got back from our walk, we were packed off to our Day Bed while The Missus and Old Two Legs set off for the hospital!

Hospital? Wot's going on?

Well, I was straight up and on the computer and the calendar!

It was then I saw the note......'TM to Hospital for Eye Ball Op'

That was it, off to get her Cattle Racks sorted!

OTL dropped her off at the hospital and then headed off to the Car Menders. It seems that one of the Dipped Beam lights had given up working, not good especially when it's dark in the morning and in the evening!

He could have done it himself but firstly he didn't have a bulb and secondly he couldn't get his big paw in the hole to  change the bulb!

So, he gets down the menders who ask him to go to the spares department and purchase a bulb and hand the bulb to the Service Department who will arrange to change the faulty bulb!

I know, I would have thought that Service Department would have had bulbs in stock but who am I to criticise, I'm only a woofer!

Well, he gets it changed and they charged him for the bulb but the fitting was free!

After that he got back to the hospital expecting to see TM slurping Coffee and Biscuits and with a patch over her eye.

When he went into the Reception there was no TM so he settles down in a comfortable chair, close to the warm air heating and set about reading his book. About three hours later TM was on the phone asking where he was 'cos she was all done and ready for home.

That was it, the Cattle Rack in one eye was gone and a new bit shoved in. It was funny looking at her 'cos she had an indelible ink 'Arrow' drawn on her forehead pointing to the eye that was to be worked on, High Tech Stuff!

Because it was late they decided to get a Chinese Takeaway on the way home!

Plawn Clackers, King Plawns, Chicken Strips!

Yeah!

We couldn't give TM a big Licky Kiss when she got back so instead we helped her eat the Chinese!

This morning we all woke up late and we were a whole hour late getting out. This means we met up with all the 'Late Woofers', most of who we know but that means poor Eric had to be picked up to stop becoming a woofers breakfast!

The wind had dropped but it was rather foggy out to sea.

I think I prefer it when they have all gone, I mean, how does a girl get a private sniff!
Today, TM has decided that she is going to have a 'Quiet Day' which means she is going to sit on the sofa and watch TV and all her crafting DVD's!

Lunchtime we were out again with Monty and Wendy down on the Sea Front but before we go OTL has to wake the ferrets, they do like their snooze!

Miss Wendy is the worse for this, she can fall asleep as quickly as a sniff!

Waking her up is another matter!

Jus' five minutes more?
Once they they got to the place where they normally get out of the ferret bag they had just woken up!

However, waking up and getting moving is another thing!

Monty is quicker at getting going and while waiting for Wendy to catch up.

No, it's a Woofer Sniff, the ferret sniffs are further up the path!
When we got back to the football field there were signs that the moles had been digging again. Monty decided to have a poke in the latest pile of mole diggings.

He could sniff mole but there was no sign of the little devil!

Come on, out you come or I'll get the woofers to dig you out!
TM's eye ball is still sore but the drops OTL is dripping into her eye is slowly making it better although the drops should last at least a month!

We are getting excited about the Harrietsham Ferret Show and all of the ferrets  get an 'Inspection' every morning, ears, claws and butt!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.
