It's Hot!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Well, nothing much has happened today, it's been hot and although the clouds came over the top of us there was no wet stuff landing in the garden.

Last night it rained but we were all asleep and the few bangs of thunder hardly woke us up, just Holly Chops and she went back to bed after The Missus shouted at her!

Holly jumped up onto the bed and cuddled up next to Old Two Legs head and gave his ear a good licking!

Well, it keeps her quiet!

Miss May is off to the vet to see about her tail so we can't hang around. Let's face it a tail is a most important part of a woofer, even if it is a ferret!

See you all tomorrow and it's a toss up between doing some gardening around the pond, giving me a wash and hair cut or watching the F1 Qualifying!

Busy Doing Nothing!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Wot a day! We saw 34 on the in car temperature gauge and you know, we were all well up for a run at lunch time but as soon as we got out of the car it seemed like we had his a hot brick wall!

Old Two Legs had his camera with him but there was a sad lack of insects to photograph!

All we saw was a small Dragonfly having a breather!

It''s just too hot to hunt!

Holly and I kept to the shady bits and even shared a sniff, well, it's just too hot to argue about it!

One of the good things is that half of the walk is under the trees which is great in the wet cos that keeps the rain off and in the sunshine we can stay cool in the shade!

Heads up girl, there's sunshine ahead!

Back home it was a hard job finding a cool place but after a small hunt I decided that under OTL's desk was the best place!

Well, nothing much left to report on except that the forecast is for rain, thunder and lightening over the next few days!

Now, I don't mind the rain but thunder tends to upset Holly so we have to look after her!

Hot enough to set your tail on fire!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Wot a day! You know that we saw 33 degrees come up on the dash board of the car at lunchtime.

Holly and I were fighting to go for a swim in the water bowl in the back of the car!

Even this morning it was just too hot to go chasing rabbits so Holly and I just wobbled along doing a 'Left and Right Sniff'.

Now, lunchtime we could hardly do a wobble! It was really just too hot and we understand that tomorrow it is going to be up into record figures!

Old Two Legs took his camera out but there was very little to photograph, the Damsel Fly was fast asleep, well, it didn't move when Holly Woofer as she went past!

How Rude!

The sunrise was a bit wishy washy and other than the colour it was hardly worth photographing!

Well, we've seen better!

OTL has put the hose pipe into the garden to fill the pond and I must say that if it were not for the young froggy people I'd be straight in there for a swim!

The ferrets have got a frozen block from the freezer to keep under their bed just to cool off if they want to. Trouble is, they keep kicking about the cage just like a Curling Stone!

Hot or Wot!

Wot a day!

I mean it got up to twenty nine as we headed off to our midday walk and as The Missus says.....'Wottsat in real money?'

Gawd knows......hot?

Old Two Legs has been out for most of the day so we had to take TM for a walk. Let's face it, she doesn't know her way around the woods so we have to show her!

Holly and I take her up the biggest hill and then down into the woods where all the mosquitoes are flying around looking for a meal of blood!

Hey! Remember OTL took some pictures with his camera phone and tried to send them back to the home email? well, they finally arrived!

Gawd knows where they have been hiding but here they are now.

Do I look good or wot?

Of course, Holly just kept on posing on the bench top, show off!

Hey! Do you feel shabby next to me?

Well, that was it, I jumped down and headed off into the long grass for a wee while she was Tarting about on the bench!

Is she showing off or has she found a sniff?

In the end Holly gave up waiting for anyone to pass by and say 'Oh Wot a Smart Woofer!'

Actually, there's a small bit on the side of my nose that needs trimming!

OK, lesson learnt, use a real camera!

Another Missed Bath!

OK, stand to attention, get in line 'cos it is Uncle Mikes birthday today and did you know he is Numpty Nine years old?

Not bad for an old duffer like wot he is!

So, we have composed a special birthday song, just for him and we have included all the best bits he likes!

 Now you know all about the plant that Old Two Legs dug up yesterday? Well just look at this pile of roots. That is all one plant and OTL reckons there is more bits he may have missed, so he is going to go over it all again and re model the stones on the left 'cos it looks like a grave!

We took the big camera out with us at lunchtime and caught up with a couple of Dragonflies who had landed to catch their breath!

Just look at the size of the eyes!

This one was much smaller but once it took of it went like a rocket!

I missed out on the bath today, OTL says he plans to 'Do Me' on Saturday, so I'm wishing for rain and cold weather and anything that will stop him getting me all soapy and bald like!

Actually, I like this 'Rough' look!

Now, the delivery man came today and took away the laptop and OTL had to use the newest computer with Windows 10 on it and of course there is no photo processing program on it, so, he has downloaded Corel Paintshop Pro on a seven day free download, just to see how he gets on with it.

We have an idea that he may buy it in the end and keep it on the Windows 10 machine just to do my diary on, that is if he gets on with it of course!

Got away with it again!

OK, after 17........one, six, seventeen!

Happy Birthday to Archie's Boy,
Can we play with his Birthday Toy?
Did he get a Take a Way for dinner?
And did he share it with Archie Boy?


OK, I know it's not the best song I ever wrote but we have been very busy today!

Well, actually it is Old To Legs wot has been busy.

It happened like this.

The Missus told OTL that she was inviting tenders for trimming a tree back and reducing the height of another tree that has gone wild plus two coats of paint on the shed!

About the time she was telling OTL, Number One Son, Martin, stopped off on his way home after spending a weekend away camping with some of his old (Pre Wedding) mates!

So, TM, Martin and OTL were standing in the garden discussing a plant that was trying to take over the pond and garden area. When, just to see what was under the leaves, OTL started to dig up the plant and after the leaves came these whacking great and long tubers.

As soon as he dug up one bit there was another bit and so on it went until it looked like half the garden and half the pond was dug up!

The piles of tubers grew to an enormous height and OTL was convinced that it was all just one plant as the roots just went on and on!

Well, OTL was getting sore from the sun and aching from the digging and dirty with mud from the mud and muck in the pond!

So, now we have a very tired OTL with a sore back and sore joints in his hands and we have run out of Paracetamol to ease the pain.

Holly and I have been in the garden giving OTL helpful suggestions and in turn he was giving us helpful suggestions!

He was out in the sun working and we were relaxing in the shade!

No pictures today, for some reason the telephone won't send pictures to the computer, I can see that we will have to go back to the camera for our fix of photo's!

YES! There is a Woofer God!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Well, I am all excited and jumping around all over the place. You see, today is the day Old Two Legs has scribed on the calendar, 'Dogs Haircut'!

Things did not look good, overnight it rained, not that we were worried, we were all tucked up in bed snoring our tails off, however, by the time we woke up the rain had stopped and it was just the grass that was wet.

That was it, doomed we were, Old Two Legs got the doggy towels out and found the shampoo, then he got the table out of the shed and the frame that will hold the straps to keep us woofers from jumping off the table!

OTL decided to start off with Holly 'cos she had more hair and some of it was matted around her paws.

Into the shower compartment she went and OTL turned on the water and Holly got wet.

Holly was not happy but just as the water was soaking through her hair and reaching her skin when it happened.

The shower went 'Phutt'

It was lucky that OTL had filled the bucket up with water 'cos he used that to finish off washing Holly from the tip of her nose to the end of her tail!

Well, in the end Holly got washed, then she got dried with that blower thingy, then she got shaved!

In the end she lost a load of hair and looked quite slim, for a Holly Dog that is!

Now, all this means that I did not get washed or shaved 'cos the shower is broke!

OTL is off to purchase a bucket of super glue to fix a bit in the workings of the shower 'Engine'.

Mind you, that means I could get 'done' tomorrow.

Unless it rains!

A big thanks to Archie Babe who sent an instruction sheet on how to find the passwords in the computer.

OTL managed to find Eric's new password.

We didn't know he used physics terminology!

Well, it seems to work!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

Well now, have we had some fun with the oldish computer! Because it is running a very old control system it's access to the Internet has been cancelled. Let's face it, how many other computers still run Windows 98?

Yeah, OK not counting Old Two Legs!

Well, as the laptop is off on Monday we just got to have some sort of communication with the Internetty Thingy and OTL has been bashing away on the keyboard trying to find passwords that still work!

It was the middle of the afternoon that finally we managed to hook up to URL's and SMTP and other silly sounding things that make the computer talk to you all!

OTL got a lot of help from the ferrets as they ran across the keyboard just as OTL was putting in a new password and completely cod's it up!

Not that Eric was bothered, all he wanted was to get to the bowl of rabbit food OTL has for breakfast!

Password? Yeah, hang on until I've finished this!

Early this morning we got down to the sea shore to see the sunrise, well not exactly the real sunrise but rather the afterglow as it headed towards midday!

Can't wait until autumn and the real sunrises!

Holly and I got a bit bored waiting for OTL to click away with his camera phone, he kept taking pictures of his thumb!

If he takes any more pictures of his thumb I'm going to bite it off!

Mind you, even I was getting fed up and it wasn't long before I headed off for a wee!

OK, I've had enough, I'm off for a wee!

Now for some good news, it's been raining for most of the day, well OK, not exactly pouring but rather drizzling, however, with a bit of luck it will be freezing cold and at least six feet of snow and then we will get out of our hair cut and shampoo!

Well, we can hope!

Loosing the Laptop?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

You know there are some days when nothing happens, like no fights, no winding Old Two Legs up or even setting the ferrets to bite The Missus toes when she forgets to put her wellies on when the ferrets are let loose!

Well, we have had one of those days. First thing this morning it started to rain and both Holly and I reckon with a bit of luck it may carry on over the weekend.

Because of the rain, there were very few insects out flying around, so even Old Two Legs didn't get a chance for another 'Bug Shot'!

It was the same at lunch time and the rain did ease off a tiny bit but all OTL could find to photograph was a branch!

I mean, we said he should Leaf it alone but he said he wanted to branch out into a new vista!

Well, it came from the trunk line to get here!

This afternoon was just as bad, the only exciting thing was he managed to get confirmation that the menders are expecting his laptop on Monday to replace the keyboard.

Now that's OK but it could take up to twenty one days to turn it around, three weeks!

I think I had better check to see if we can still do my diary on the old computer, I mean, we don't want to miss out on the going on in this part of the world!

Getting Prepaired for the weekend?

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Well, it has been another hot day and would you believe it but at lunchtime, were it not for the need of a wee and a poo, we wouldn't have gone out at all!

This mornings walk we saw a fox mooching around all the Fair Peoples caravan and it even pinched some food from one of the woofers bowls!

That was until the woofer noticed it from it's kennel and chased it off!

We had seen the fox before in the woods and OTL even got a photo of it before!

This morning he didn't bring the camera 'cos all of the bugs were still asleep and all he had to photograph would be closed up flowers!

Mind you, midday it all starts humming and out they all come!

First is the flies and this one was about 6mm long!

 It wasn't only the bugs wot was making all the buzzing sounds, some Two Legs in a speed boat came buzzing along close to the shore!

One noisy one close up and three more further out!

 I must admit, we really didn't feel like running around and when Old Two Legs told us to  'Sit and Stay', we thought is was a good idea!

Yeah, OK, we will stay, just get on with it!

 It's amazing just how many bugs sit and stay for OTL, that is until they get fed up and fly off!

i was going to sit and stay anyway!

 Of course the small Soldier Beetles were totally unaware that OTL was clicking away and the caterpillar was fast asleep anyway!

Don't say a word, he might then go away!

this afternoon we got a good brushing down by OTL and he used three different brushes, one unknotted the hair and the other pulled the loose hair out. OTL reckons that come Saturday we will get a bath and a hair cut, providing it isn't cold or pouring with rain!

Dear God of the Woofers, please make it rain!
