It's Brrrm, Brrrm Day Today!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Yesterday was one of those frustrating days when the computer system decided to automatically do a 'cleaning' of the hard discs!

So, Daisy's Diary had to miss out on my exciting day of doing nothing very exciting unlike today!

First thing this morning I tried to wake Old Two Legs up by jumping up on his bed and attacking his eat with my tongue!  I even got Holly along to give me a hand and finally he fell out of bed and into the shower!

Going into the office, we saw that Eric was still asleep in bed, or you could say he had gone back to bed!

Miss Wendy was up and sitting by the cage door, guess who came out for a walk!

Miss Wendy had a great time digging in the sand bunker of the old golf course. She was covered with the sand. She was digging deep into the sand having a great time!

Lunchtime came and we headed off to the beach but this time we took Eric who had been rattling the cage door all morning!

We could see Southend and if the wind had been blowing the other way we could have sniffed the Kebabs as well!

We were all sniffing at the sniffs but OTL was busy trying photograph butterflies!

He was also busy trying to find the Common Lizards he had seen a couple of years ago but for whatever reason they were all in hiding.

Holly and I spent most of the time, nose down, catching up on the new sniffs

I remember this one from two days ago, it belongs to Bob the Staffy who loves OTL!

Yeah! I remember, he's the one with a soffy plastic ball that OTL kicks down the path!

There was one Dragonfly who landed on the bushes, looking all worn out after chasing around fighting with other Dragonflies. I don't know why he was fighting cos the poor lad looked exhausted!

Eric had been doing his normal trick, you know, trotting along then climb up OTL's leg so he gets a carry from OTL then later climbs down and off he trots again!

It's a Ferret Thing!

Mind you, when he got back home there was only one thig he wanted to do.

It's another Ferret Thing!

A Snooze, a Snooze, my kingdom for a Snooze!

Something I forgot, we were sniffing our way along the middle path when this horrid buzzing thing passed overhead. Holly gave it a good woofing and it carried on past us. Things should be banned!

Go on, buzz off ans stop scaring us woofers! Wot's more, he is waving at us, come down here and Eric will sort you out!

At least the butterflies don't wave, they just bask in the sun!

Pity it wouldn't turn around, it might have been a good shot of its antennae!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Friday is for Ferreting!

 Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here with you again!

You know, I just love Fridays. You see, every Friday we all wind down after the hard week working our claws to a stand still!

Take today, we were up an hour late, mainly because The Missus was up at Three Fifteen with a super idea of a new card. It woke us up, you know, all those lights being switched on and off, kettles being filled and marching up and down stairs!

Old Two Legs doesn't like being woken up cos it disturbs his sleep pattern and makes him late getting up in the morning!

By this time the ferrets were charging around the cage and rattling the food bowl!

So it was, Eric, who made the most noise, was allowed to come out for a run around the old golf course.

Then, back home to get the books prepared for the finance chap. We had almost finished it when lunchtime arrived!

Now, the weather wasn't too hot and the wind wasn't too strong so Miss Wendy was invited to come with us down the beach.

Miss Wendy doesn't often come out with us as she is getting a little old but today she said she really fancied a roll on the beach!

She had a little dig in the sand but as the tide was coming in that means the sand was too wet, so she stayed up at the sea wall!

As soon as she was off the beach she ran all the way up the hill, stopping just to give me a nip on my back leg! A ferrets way of saying 'Hurry Up'! I remember Freddy used to do that, then he woulf roll onto his back saying I had kicked him!

Once we were up the hill we all had a breather and Wendy tried a little digging, just to help trim her claws up a little.

Wendy thought it was great fun nipping me and tried several times to creep up on me but I was keeping a sharp eye out for a fast moving ferret behind me!

Aw! Come on, just a little nibble!

Holly was keeping well back, he had been nipped a few times by Freddy and wasn't going to let Wendy get the better of her!

Back home OTL finished off the 'manufacturing' and rushed it all of to the carriers. After that it was snooze time and while OTL was pounding on the computer us woofers, ferrets included, fell fast asleep until dinner time!

Not too sure what's planned for tomorrow but we hope it's going to be fun!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Bald Butts!

 Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here.

Well, it happened, after a good run this morning, joined by Eric! we had some fun playing 'Hunt the Squeaky Ball' then it came to lunch time and instead of heading off to the sea side, Old Two Legs got the hair cutting stuff out of the shed!

There is the 'Table of Death' and the 'Executioners Chair'  followed by the 'Jet Powered Hair Drier'! Then there's the 'Dunking Bucket' which is used to store 'Acid Based Shampoo'!

Holly said OTL was pretending and that he had received instructions from The Missus to clear up the shed.

I didn't agree 'cos OTL also got the shavers and scissors and that blindfold that goes over your eyes so you can't see when your getting shaved!

Next thing we see is OTL with the harnesses and a smile on his chops as he asked if we wanted to go for a walk?

Does a dog like sniffs?

So, off we went and enjoyed a super time on the beach, rolling in the sand and not getting told off either!

We couldn't work it out why OTL wasn't telling us not to roll in the sniffs!

Well, that lasted until we got home and I was first to get invited to enter the shower cubical and I got it, shmapoo in every orifice I posses!

All that sand and sniff got washed out of me and down the plug hole!

I mean, what a thing to do to a puppy!

Well, that was followed by that 'Jet Powered Hair Drier' thingy that blasted away so hard that I thought my hair was being blown away!

Well, I won't go into too many details but I lost a couple of kilos of hair and my butt got shaved as well.

It was just the same for Holly and she got shaved as well but when she was let loose, she dragged her butt over the carpet cos it was itchy!

I was lucky, that didn't happen to me but I think the anti tick stuff goes on tomorrow and that itches!

See you all tomorrow.

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

I'm a Soggy Doggy again!

 Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Hi again! We are back with you again! Just for a change, Old Two Legs took us over the old golf course this morning. We left Wendy and Eric in bed snoozing their tails off!

While we were on the golf course we met up with a couple of woofers we had seen but not been introduced to. One was a Schnauzer crossed with something spaniel who insisted on dong some sniffing! The other was an old hairy poodle based hound of unknown parentage who let OTL stroke him behind his ears but every time OTL stopped, the hound smacked OTL's leg with his paw to let OTL know he wanted more tickles!

OTL is still after the Common Newt but it seems that the Common Newt is becoming as rare as rocking horse poo!

He did find another one of those hoppy things but it didn't hang about too long!

Not the most exciting insect to be seen!

This one is the Red Admiral who was all camera shy!

There seems to be a lack of Hawker Dragonflies so we have to put up with Darters!

Now I had some fun, you see, while OTL was snapping away at insecty things I saw a chance to get down to the sea front, I was off like a shot! I was in the water, splashing about while OTL was up on the hillside wondering where the devil I had got to!

It's OK going in for a splash but having to ride home on the car sitting on a wet and soggy damp patch is not the most comfortable thing a woofer can do!

Holly and I were going to get a hair cut today but after lunch OTL fell asleep and forgot all about hair cuts. The only problem is, it looks like we will have to do it tomorrow!

See you all tomorrow.

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Getting Tyred of this!

 Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here.

Wot a super day it's been, out first thing this morning with little Eric tagging along. We went over the old golf course and Eric was doing his favourite trick of jumping down, getting his tummy all wet on the dew laden grass, then climbing up on Old Two Legs arm and dry himself off on OTL's sleeve!

Crafty or wot?

Just for a change the sky has been blue all day today and the breeze has been gentle. So walking down on the sea front was very pleasant!

And the sniffs were OK as well!

Well, bless my tail, those rigs are still there!

Now, other than the normal jobs OTL has to do every day, like poo shovelling and cage cleaning, there is also the 'Must Do' jobs that have been stored on the computer diary. Today is the 'check Tyres' day. You see one wheel has developed a leak. Trouble is. it is a 'Slow Leak', so there is nothing for it but to take the wheel off and wander on down to the tyre man to check it all out!

Now, in the fourteen years that we have had the caravan we have never had any problems with the tyres at all so this has tested OTL's tool box!

First of all the wheel nuts have to be tightened up to a 'Torque Setting' of 115nm. So, he had to buy a Torque wrench. Next he had to buy a tyre pressure gauge and some spare valves and a little tool to screw the valve in with. Lucky he had a socket set that fits the wheel nuts! On top of that he had to buy a hydraulic jack, just in case he had to change a wheel on the motorway!

Well, he got the wheel off and in doing so he had to roll around on the ground to position the jack ready to lift it up to get the wheel. Now that's no big thing but in doing so he disturbed all the spiders who to get away decided to run all over OTL.

OTL don't like spiders!

Well, in the end the leak was traced to a small leak between the tyre and the wheel rim. Off came the tyre and the leaks pasted with some sort of black gunk!

Back home it was another roll around amongst the spiders and on went the wheel and the nuts tightened to the torque setting and the jack packed back into it's travelling box!

So, there we are, another step closer to the holiday, all repairs done, van serviced, tyre mended and van cleaned!

At the end of the week both Holly and I have our anti tick drops and the ferrets get their  dose as well!

I must admit, I hate it cos it makes my shoulders all itchy and the ferrets hate the wet as well!

Roll on holiday time!

See you all tomorrow!

A relaxing day!

 Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

You know, I could get used to these Bank Holidays, no phone calls, no working and loads of snoozes!

It's OK when Archie Babes TL's go off to work leaving him to enjoy a snooze without the roar of a jet powered vacuum cleaner like wot we have to!

It was still dark when we got up and only just got light by the time we went out!

Lunchtime it was a bit better, the wind had dropped and the sun was out dancing between the fluffy clouds!

Mind you, there was even more cloud blowing in and the cloud got thicker but we managed to stay out of the rain!

Old Two Legs has ben looking for Common Lizards but has had no success so he had to put up with butterflies and dragonflies. Today there was no dragonflies just the occasional butterfly. Maybe it was the wind that kept them all tucked up in the trees!

Tomorrow it is all 'back to work' again and there are some orders that have to go out, so OTL will be a busy little puppy running around getting it all out and down to the carriers.

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Winter is on its way!

 Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Now, you know how certain things happen that signify a change or the arrival of a season or even an event? Like Whizz Bangs going off midd August which tells you Guy Forks Night is coming soon. Well when winter is coming we get frosts and chilly winds and shivers down the spine, another early sign is the automatic central heating. Today, Old Two Legs got up and headed for the shower and as he passed the towel rail he touched it only to find it was hot, very hot!

Now, that only comes on at a temperature OTL has set on the thermostat as 'Cold'!

So, there it was, a towel rail gently roasting a couple of towels and OTL sobbing cos the price of keeping warm has gone up!

This morning it rained but it was before we went out for our walk. By the time we got out it was wet but not raining. Great! No problems except that the grass was wet and young Eric, having very short legs and a tummy that is held close to the ground, managed to get a soaking wet tummy!

Now, young Eric has worked out that if the grass is wet or cold, all he has to do is climb up OTL's leg until OTL bends down and lets Eric climb onto his warm, dry jacket. That is until his tummy gets dried on the arm of OTL's jacket, whereupon he struggles to get down again and walks along until his tummy gets wet again and off we go again, Daddy I want a Carry!

I must admit, lunchtime walk was a little boring, only one woofer we haven't seen for some time and it was just a quick sniff and off we go!

Mind you, there were some interesting sniffs around the poo bin!

You will never guess what this is!

One of the interesting things about the forrest walk is the stuff that has been buried over the years. Take today, we have passed this spot for over ten years and today we scratched the surface and this honking great sniff just jumped out of the ground!

I mean, it nearly blew my ears off!

Hey Sis! Just get a load of this one!

I had a really good scratch at the ground and it was getting stronger the deeper I dug. Well, Holly walked back and had a sniff and a scratch and another sniff and another scratch and it was then that OTL saw what we were doing and told us to 'Leave it Alone'!

That's the trouble with OTL, he just don't appreciate a good sniff!

We all sat down this afternoon to watch the F1 Racing and to be honest, it was a fast race but just a little boring. I mean, the start was exciting for the first few corners then some overtaking a bit later on but I must admit, I have seen better.

The next race is in Italy, so we are expecting a little more excitement!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Another Busy Busy day!

 Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

We thought that a Saturday would be a good reason to stay in bed a little longer but that doesn't happen in this household. First of all, around four in the morning The Missus is up watching herself on the TV, Gawd, wot a Deva she can be!

So, not happy with waking us up she wakes Old Two Legs up who in turn wakes us up again!

That was it, when OTL heads off to the shower we go into the office and wake Eric up!

So, earlier than normal, there we wee'ing our way across the field!

This morning OTL was still busy packing up stuff to be shipped as soon as the weekend is over. I mean having a Bank Holiday gets in the way of working!

Lunchtime we were off again but without Eric who was fast asleep in is bed.

Down on the sea front there were white horses on the waves, Autumn storms are on the way!

Now, I've been seeing some funny looking things on wild rose stalks. Holly says that they are called 'A Robins Pin Cushion' and it is caused by the larvae of a tiny gall wasp that feeds on the host plant, but causes little damage. Yeah, it's the wasp that we don't like!

We stay away from anything that looks like it will sting!

Mind you, we have once in a while sniffed up an ant or two!

OTL went sniffing for Dragonfly's and Butterfly's as well as Common Lizards, two out of three ain't bad! First he found a Common Blue that was munching away on the last of the Blackberry flowers.

Just above, on the bush next to the bramble bush there was a Dragonfly having a breather after charging about chasing other dragonfly's!

I remember when we used to get big Southern Hawkers diving in and out of the bushes but nowadays it seems there are only small chasers chasing about!

We are off to watch the F1 Racing, Practice and Qualifying and then tomorrow it's the race proper.

 Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Him Again!

 Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

What a mixture of weather we have had today. We were listening to the radio yesterday and someone who came to England from Iraq said that only in England had he experienced four seasons in one day! Well today we have had them here! We have been lucky that when it was all thunder and torrential rain we had just got back into the car and could sit there watching it all bucket down, washing the car at the same time!

We had just got back from our sea side walk where the sun had been beating down giving us all a sun tan!

We met up with that funny little woofer who thinks iy is fun to woof at Old Two Legs but unfortunatley when he starts woofing it sounds as though he is trying to gargle with custard!

Holly and I don't bother with  these woofers, I mean, they are smaller than us, noiser than us and they just love it when OTL tickles their tails!

We walked on and saw that there was a large storm cloud over in Essexand we weren't sure if it was heading towards or away from us!

While Essex was getting a was OTL was looking for lizards and grass snakes, we found one of those hopping things that hide in the grass. We weren't sure if it was a cricket or grass hopper and by the time we got OTL to have a look, the hopping thing had hopped off!

Before we headed over the hill and off to the car we looked back at Essex and saw that the storm had moved on!

Mind you, we got back to the car just in time cos the rain started but it started from a storm cloud behind us, not from Essex!

Now, we did think that Archie Babes TL was rather brave climbing up on the rood to brush off the tree seeds, I mean, why not just chop the trees down?

OTL used to go climbing all over the place when he was installing his stuff but now he has stopped doing that and will only stand on small ladders!

Well, he is getting too old and crotchety for all that stuff nowadays!

He says that he can make more profit with the computer and a box of bits than climbing around on long ladders and roofs!

Hey, I've just thought of a reason not to chop trees down, well, you need somesthing to wee on don't you!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

 Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Well, it's been all gogo today, we have been manufacturing for most of the day trying to get stuff out the door to keep all the customers happy. Trouble is we can't get enough stock in as quickly as we would like, so then comes the hold up!

Holly and I managed to get our walk over the old golf course this morning, but without Eric or Wendy who were both snoring their tails off! It was the same at lunchtime only they decided that a chew of chicken strip was preferable to a wander along the sea front!

Holly and I didn't worry 'cos we had our big harness on!

There were one or two woofers around but we left them alone as most of them were strangers and the ones we knew were too far away to say hello to!

Holly was all for saying hello but the sniffs won in the end and we didn't even bother with a roll!

Now I know there is some rain about 'cos some of it landed on us when we were out at lunchtime but Holly was saying that it feels like Autumn is just around the corner. To prove her point, she pointed out an acorn growing on the tree by the car park gate. Now, we don't normally get acorns this early, but, there it was all green and growing!

We think that Archie Babes TL is big and brave letting someone with an Urgent Appointment go in an hour before her. I mean, just what constitutes an urgent appointment, seems to be getting like the doctors. You know, 'Doctor, my head has fallen off can I have an appointment for you to have a look at it?' 'Certainly, the earliest we can do is six weeks!'

OTL reckons us woofers get the best deal, when he phones up all he is asked is 'This afternoon or this evening and bring your wallet with you?'

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
