OTL gets Stabbed!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Wot a wonderful day! The sun has been shining all day and Holly and I have been chasing cats in the garden!

Holly has got a thing about other animals using our garden, she is sort of OK with the small birds like sparrows and finches but when it comes to pigeons or collared doves, that it, she goes potty!

Best of all, when one of the local dopey cats decide to stop off and try to catch a bird, Holly goes potty at the window. Well, the cat sits in the garden ignoring Holly 'cos they think they are safe, well, they are, until Old Two Legs opens the kitchen door and Whoooosh, two woofers in hot pursuit of a moggy is great fun!

We have had cats being chased around one side of the shed by Holly while I circumnavigate the other side of the shed and in the middle the cat finds that it can also travel in a vertical motion as well as the normal directions!

Another good one is where the cat doesn't think it can get over the garden gate and instead dives underneath the gate!

How those cats can flatten themselves like that amazes me. I know the ferrets do that, but cats?

Down on the beach it was a super sunrise, all warm and summery!

OTL was playing with exposures and shutter speeds, all a bit boring but the picture is OK!

Sunshine and Sea!
While we were down there, we spotted the Two Bob Bozos and gave them a woof.

Marley came bounding down to see who had woofed and to say hello to OTL.

Problem was, he caught us by surprise so we gave him the 'woofers warning woof' which stopped him dead. By then his Two Legs was calling him, so, off he went without getting a stroke from OTL!

Oi! Thus far and no further!
Back home OTL was all rush and tear getting the cages cleaned out and by nine thirty he was finished. He put his jacket on a waved 'Bye Bye' to us and off he went to the TL's Vet.

So, all big and brave he stood in line until called then got stabbed with a whacking great needle, seems this will stop him getting flu.

Trouble is, he has had this before but he still got the flu!

Lunchtime we were a little earlier than normal 'cos he has to get a pair of new tyres fitted to the big car before we go on holiday.

I must admit, we don't normally sleep as much as we have done today but it has been most enjoyable!

See you all tomorrow and I'll be all clean and shaved and smelling like a Tart!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A Hole Lot of Fun!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back again!

We love Friday's, things are winding down for the weekend and we are planning what we will be doing over the two days off!

Down here we were getting prepared for the wash and hair cut that Old Two Legs has been promising me. I had been getting very grubby just to make it worth while!

Unfortunately, that has been postponed until Sunday. OTL has got to go for a flu injection in the morning, then he has to get two new tyres for the big car in the afternoon and finally, he has to go and deliver some stuff late afternoon, so there will be no time for Daisy to get a wash!

YAHOOOOOOOO!

Sunday is free at the moment, so it looks like I will still get the wash tub job!

Down on the beach the sun was shining beams of sun light through the clouds and to be honest, it don't look too bad!

Straight out of the camera, no fiddly diddly on the computer!
Holly and I had a good time on the beach, rolling in the sniffs and digging holes!

Me, roll in the sand? Never!
We did get into a bit of a tussle digging the hole. You see we both wanted to get in at the same time and, well, that's when the fight started!

Gerroff or I'll bite your tail!
In the end OTL had to pull us apart and we were both called 'Mucky Puppies' and told to 'Behave' ourselves, as if!

This afternoon OTL has been busy manufacturing and diving back and forth to the carriers to get all the parcels shipped so we can go away on holiday on Monday!

We are off now to see what we can mug off OTL, another steak? Well, you can keep the salad, I mean, unless it is grass, we don't do green stuff!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Eric is safe again!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, after yesterdays fun and games, Eric has managed to creep back into The Missus's good books, like, he didn't get up on her desk today.

Tomorrow, maybe but not today!

We were late getting to the beach and Old Two Legs was able to shoot directly into the sun and make it look like it was early morning!

Sneaky or wot!

Moody Morning!
Eric was not too happy about walking back to the car, so he stood still and shivered until OTL picked him up and he got a lift almost all the way back!

But I'm COLD!
Miss May wandered around the beach but was commenting on the fact that the sand was cold and wet and how it made her tummy cold if she stopped walking!

It's cold and wet and makes me shiver!
By the time lunchtime arrived it had got a but warmer, so Holly Chops made the most of the warm sand and had a good roll!

It's better knowing that under me is a real pongy sniff!
When we got to the rocks by the Sea Wall, OTL saw this honking great spider walking down the rocks and heading towards Freddy.

Not sure of what the spider could do, OTL picked up Freddy and put him in the ferret bag while he took a couple of snaps.

I must say that I really didn't like the look of this arachnid, mind you, I don't do spiders!

We can't find it in any of our books! Can you see the breathing holes in it's abdomen?
We left it alone and headed off to home!

TM has been cleaning the caravan today and she says it is all nice and clean and sniffing just right!

That means it is going to give us the sneezes, especially the ferrets who don't like the stuff TM squirts into the air!

I think that OTL has salad and something tonight, we can't sniff any cooking so it is bound to be 'Cold'!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Eric is in Deep Poo!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Now I know you want to know what Eric has been doing, don't you?

So, let me tell you!

Old Two Legs had to go out today to see one of his customers but the appointment was set just a little earlier than comfortable because of all the cleaning and walking he normally has to do in the mornings.

The Missus said she would help by taking Holly and I out for our morning walk but the ferrets had to stay at home!

We didn't mind and the ferrets said they could have a good time rampaging around the house while OTL got into Poo Shovelling!

Now all three ferrets are normally good little ferrets but the fourth, Eric de Ferret is a bit of an 'Explorer' and manages to get everywhere, especially places where he shouldn't go!

Normally TM is standing in front of her card making stuff and protecting it by picking up Eric when he gets up on things like her desk or the window ledge or in the dustbin!

This morning she left all her stuff out and took us for a walk along the beach.

Eric just couldn't believe his luck!

Ink pads, brushes, sponge balls, paper, pens, dies, stamps and Gesso.

But best of all............. a big jar of water used to wash the brushes!

OTL, being busy upstairs didn't hear the jar topple over or the sound of Eric dancing in the water or his laughter when he left his paw prints across the paper on the desk.

TM was not a happy puppy, in fact she has been plotting Eric's end, a Ferret Ragu or Ferret Kebab or Ferret Pie!

Eric has been hiding in his sleeping bag all day!

TM has been wandering about grinding her teeth!

OTL has decided to stay out of her way, all day!

Lunchtime we were down on the beach with Wendy and Freddy. Holly and I had a great game of chase and I even had a roll in a particularly good fishy sniff!

Now that was worth a double roll!
Freddy on the other paw blagged a lift all the way down and back to the football field! Wendy called him few names but Freddy didn't care, he'd got his lift and when we got back to the football field, he got down a trotted across!

Across the flat is much better, I don't do hills!
Now, next week we are away up in Lemington Spar for a few days, TM is doing a 'Master Class' and we also got an invitation to Sunday Lunch with Number One Son. OTL reckons he will be able to pig out 'cos no one serves up salad for Sunday Lunch, do they?

This afternoon OTL got the dates of our first holiday for next year and on the way TM will be at another Master Class in a place called Ecclefechan!

And yes, it sounds just like it's spelt!

Life does get soooo busy!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A Lazy Day for a change!

Hello you Woofers out there!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, we can feel that Autumn is really on it's way. It was chilly when we went out this morning and although the wind wasn't too bad, it still made us shiver first thing!

The ferrets, May and Eric, kept pestering Old Two Legs for a carry and a snuggle in his arms!

Miss May normally doesn't mind the cold but like all ferrets, she has to get started! You see ferrets have no way of controlling their body temperature, so when they wake up, the spend some time shivering to warm themselves up. In the summer when it's hot they find some cool spot and fall asleep!

This time of the year they spend time shivering or snuggling up to OTL!

Holly and I just have to run up and down the beach a couple of times and we are up to speed and warm enough!

Now, you know I have been told that I'm getting a 'Wash & Hair Cut' this weekend? Well, I have decided that if I am going to get wet and shampooed and scrubbed, I might as well get in a state where there will be something to wash off!

So I have started to find all the sniffs that really pong and have a good roll in them!

Of course, Holly Chops says she wouldn't have a roll until next week 'cos she is just too beautiful to get grubby!

I mean, wot a TART!

This ones going to take a gallon of shampoo to get rid of the sniff!
Lunchtime we were out again and Miss Wendy decided to walk along the Sea Wall instead of the beach. She doesn't really like the sea shells so a walk on the concrete made a nice change. Freddy Boy blagged a lift from OTL, so he was all warm and comfortable in OTL's arms!

It's a long way above the beach!
OTL had to go and pick up the computer that was in for repair and of course, he cried all the way home 'cos his credit card had got another bashing!

Tomorrow we may get delivery of the 'Blaster' so that should be fun! You can bet that OTL will want to try it out, just to make sure it works properly!

The nail clippers and new head for the electric clippers should arrive at the same time, so, guess who will be playing with his new toys!

We are off now to see what is for dinner, with a bit of luck it will be steak and chips with onions and mushrooms, or, if we are not lucky, cheese salad!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Let's Ban Grumbly Tums!

Hi Woofers!

Back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Well Izzy my girl, wot a tale! Those grumbly tums can be a right pain in the butt!

Mind you, both Holly and I have had the bloody poo and the vet also gives us a course of anti bio-tics and some stuff called ProKolin to help bung us up! Mind you, when the grumbly strikes we don't feel like eating either!

Mind you, we don't get the Phantom Pregnancy cos we got 'Done' but that has caused me to loose control of my wee'ing and I'm on pills for all time!

Talking of wee'ing, we have the same fun when Old Two Legs has to get a sample. We sort of assume the wee'ing position and just as OTL shoves the collector under us, we change our mind and wander off!

It drives him potty!

We are glad to see you are on the mend and we will keep our claws crossed for you!

We also hope mum is getting well, she had a bad back didn't she? With any luck she will be back playing Prop Forward with the local rugby team!

Now we can't see anything wrong with helping out with the cards! Young Eric de Ferret has been helping The Missus with her cards. There was one card with ferret feet across the Distress Ink Pad that carried on all over the card, the table and disappeared across the carpet and under the curtains!

Eric has also been filmed trying to get into a bag of sponge balls but TM had zipped it up so he had to wait until she opened the bag!

Down on the beach we spotted some red sky and we haven't seen that for some time, so it looks like autumn is really here and OTL will be snapping away trying to get the colours of the morning!

A little bit of a sun rise!
Now, did you know that when a ferret gets excited they either waggle their tails or stick their tails in the air and make their tail hair stand on end!

Now Eric is a waggler but May can make her hair stand up!

No, it's not a bottle brush!
Holly has been a right pain in the tail! She has been showing off her hair cut to everyone she meets and I must say, it's a change to see her eyes!

Do I look good or do I look GOOD!
Mind you, every time OTL gets his camera Holly strikes a pose and gives her tail a waggle!

Yes, I think this is my best side!
OTL has been down the computer shop 'cos his computer, not the new one, has got a sick power supply.

More spending money!

Not sure wot is for dinner, maybe a venison steak and that green stuff called salad!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A Little bit off the Back Madam?

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Now, where to begin?

You remember that Old Two Legs had booked up a one day 'Taster Course' for Dog Grooming with the local Agricultural College? Well, that was yesterday and what a day that was! We were all up in the early hours so that we could all get ready and off in time for all the things that were happening.

First we went out for a walk with The Missus over the Farm Fields and while Holly and I were out, OTL cleaned all the ferret cages and filled the food bowls and changed the water bottles as well. So far so good.

Then it was time to go. Now Holly and OTL headed off in the big car while TM and I loaded up the little car and headed off to the village hall for a days glue slapping and glitter sprinkling!

I was not happy, I wanted to be with OTL and as lovely as the ladies were, I was not a happy puppy! Finally TM took me home where I jumped up on the bed and snuggled into OTL's pillow and decided that would where I would spend the day until he and Holly came home!

OTL and Holly got to the college early and had to wait for fifteen minutes before the doors were opened, so Holly went for a sniff and a wee!

There were loads of sniff 'cos there were loads of animals kept at the college so the students can learn to look after them!

Finally they were let in and OTL was given a proper groomers top to help keep the water and hair off him, then he was allocated a table and a load of wicked looking tools!

...and would madam like me to trim the sides as well?
The day started by washing Holly and then blow drying her with a 'Blaster' which dried Holly in no time at all, in fact OTL was so impressed, he has ordered one from the Internetty!

Next Holly had to be brushed and combed to get all the knots out of her hair. That bit was boring, so Holly started to play OTL up and had to be put in straps that sort of restricted movement!

Well she got combed and brushed and combed and brushed until almost all the knots came out or were snipped out with a pair of scissors!

Then OTL got the electric Grooming Clippers and started to cut Holly's hair all over! Now this took a long time and half way through they all stopped for lunch, or in Holly's case, a wee and a poo and then get back to the car for a snooze while OTL had a sandwich. After that it was back to the table and more clipping and brushing and combing and clipping all over. There was the nail clipping as well, which Holly needed. OTL did that 'cos he has had experience of doing that with the ferrets!

Finally, there was no more hair that needed clipping and Holly was well please with the result. There were moments when OTL needed the help of the course leaders to do bits he needed showing how to do, like clipping near my bits and eyes but they did half and OTL had to do the other half!

It was a case of 'Lift one Leg and trim' then 'Lift the Other Leg and trim' but finally it was all done.

OK, all done? Can we go now?
OTL got a certificate to say he attended the course, not that he had done well or passed any test, just that he had turned up!

Next week the Blaster and Nail Clippers should have arrived and OTL says that I'm next!

Of course, when they both got back I was all over OTL like a rash and I was taking the mickey out of Holly saying that her bum looked big!

Really I was glad to have them both back!

Today we were out down the beach for our walk as normal, it was early but it looked like it would be a sunny day, once the clouds had been blown away!

A promise of a good day!
Miss Holly Chops was still on about how well her hair cut had been done and how good she looked!

Of course she just had to ask the question...........................

Does my Bum look big like this?
It was Freddy Boy who got in first with the answer...............

Dahling, Your Bum ALWAYS LOOKS BIG!
That was it, Holly said that when we get home she would bite his Bum!

Being a Sunday, there were the normal tourists and Mini Two Legs, all of whom wanted to stroke the ferrets and give them a cuddle!

Nobody said anything about Holly's haircut, which made her waddle off up the beach waggling her tail!

More Tourists!
So, this afternoon was spent watching the F1 Racing and cuddling up with OTL!

Wonder what's for dinner tonight, OTL's dinner, not ours!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

It was on a Friday when the Accountant came to call!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

We were dead impressed when we got down onto the beach this morning. It had been given a really good wash by the tide yesterday, all the muck and rubbish has been moved further down the river now and we expect some fresh rubbish from up stream on the next tide!

Pass it on!

All clean and sparkling!
Both Holly and decided we wouldn't dig any hole in the sand 'cos it looked so good!

Wot about Paw Prints, can we leave them?
Lunchtime it was well up the beach again and both Freddy and Wendy said they would rather have a carry than leave ferret paw prints!

Instead we decided to have a game on the football pitch. Holly decided she would be one of the linesmen who is on the wing!

That didn't last too long 'cos she got all puffed out running up and down when Freddy kicked the ball towards the goal at the other end of the field!

It's no good, I've got to have a breather!
Of course, Freddy was in his element! Playing 'Keepy Uppy' then kicking it high into the air!

Come on, over here, on me head son!
Well, that didn't last long and Holly was flat out in the back of the car blowing like an old cart horse!

We had to get back early 'cos Old Two Leg's new accountant thingy person was coming to see OTL and talk about 'Books'.
Now we all thought that accountants played around with figures and number things so we were puzzled as to why he wanted to talk books?

When he got here we were sent off to the bedroom for a snooze until he left and OTL said that after all the accountant said he was as much in the dark as when they began!

OTL says that one of the reasons he employs an accountant is to do all the 'Book' stuff and leave him to get on with the real stuff of making a penny or two!

All together now........................

In this life, one thing counts
In the bank, large amounts
The Accountants job is counting beans
So, you've, gotta make a penny or two, yooooooooo
Gotta make a penny or two!

We said it was good of him to call on OTL like this but OTL says that he will be charging for his trip and time!

Hey! We can hear plates being put on the table, must be dinner time!

Tomorrow I'm off to the hall with The Missus to slap some glue and Holly Chops is off to an Agricultural College so that OTL can get instructions on how to shave all her hair off!

This is going to be fun when she comes home 'cos I reckon she will whiff like a Tarts Handbag!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A Monsoon, High Tide and Floods!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Wot a day!

It all started off this morning when Old Two Legs over slept and ended up getting out of bed a whole hour later than normal!

Talk about a 'Lazy Woofer'!

Still, he paid for it 'cos when we got to the car park a big black cloud arrived over the top of him and proceeded to empty as much rain as it could muster down on OTL and the rest of us!

That was it, back to the car and listen to the radio until the rain stopped!

We met Barney II and his Two Legs and the pair of them were soaked through to the skin, they got caught in the rain!

We managed to stay out of the rain and watch it disappearing over to Sheerness!

Bye Bye Rain, Missed us this time!
May and Eric were still worried about the Nargle that was supposed to live in the grass above the steps, so they both kept a look out for it, especially Eric, 'cos he says he doesn't like Nargles!

Can you see anything?
In fact, Eric stopped at the steps and wouldn't go any further until OTL picked him up, sat him on OTL's shoulders and let him do a slow scan of the area!

No! I want an aerial view first or I'm staying here!
Back at the car we met up with one of the 'Bin People' who empty all the waste bins and Poo Bins.

May got a cuddle while Eric was hiding in the travel cage!

Yep! I like cuddles!
Lunchtime was a surprise. It looked like we had arrived at the High Spring Tide 'cos the water was right up the beach, further than it normally is!

The only time we had seen it higher was when we had a storm in the North Sea!

Look, the beach is getting a good wash!
I was having a good look and although it was sloshing about I decided that I would leave going in for a swim until next year!

No Holly, I don't fancy getting my paws wet!
Listening to the radio we heard that there were roads flooded down in Strood, just across the river from Rochester Castle. It's a good job there wasn't a Northerly Wind and a Low Pressure over the North Sea or we would have been in trouble!

Last night we managed to mug OTL for some of his venison burger and he had some cheese with the salad as well, so we had a bit of cheese as well!

Dunno wot is on the table tonight but Holly and I had our bowl of chicken this morning, so we are not exactly staring, well, not much!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret

A Hunting Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back again!

Wot sort of day have you had?

Our day started off too early for me and we landed on the beach while the sky was still dark!

Gloomy or Wot?
We were all glad to get back home and start a game that we play every so often.

It's like this.

Holly and get to have a snooze on the bed while Old Two Legs  cleans out the ferret cages. The ferrets get a free run of the house so they can charge about having wot they call 'Ferret Fun'. Roughly translated, that means, let's get in every cupboard and hidy hole possible to nick anything that takes their fancy and if they can eat it, so much the better!

So, it starts off with Eric and May charging down the stairs and heading for the kitchen!

Now, Holly and I have got boxes of teeth cleaning chews and Bonio biscuits and nibbly mixer bits neatly stacked on the shelves of the butchers block thingy The Missus keeps in the kitchen.

The ferrets don't climb up the legs, they jump straight onto the shelf and into the boxes! That is, they grab everything they can before TM or OTL grabs the boxes and puts them out of reach.

By then the little thieves were legging it up stairs to find places to store their ill gotten gains!

After the cages were all done and the ferrets tucked up, Holly and I were let out of the bedroom.

The hunt begins!

Holly and I use our noses to locate the area where the goodies are hidden but the ferrets hide the nibbles in places where we can't get to without help. OTL gets a big woof and we jump up and give his chair a good shove!

That gets his attention!

Off we go and indicate the area where it's hidden and OTL starts moving boxes and chairs and other stuff so that Holly or I can get in and snaffle the treat!

It's a good game and Holly and I even pick up the ferret food they hide as well!

Talking of food, I think OTL has got salad and some sort of meat tonight!

Let's hope he doesn't hide it before we get there!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
