Are you The Ferret Man?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back with you again!

Well, we have decided that unless we are super luck or fall out of bed in the very early hours, our chance of a colourful sunrise has gone with the wind!

At the moment it is Old Two Legs who get;s up at six in the morning and it is still darkish but by the time he has had his shower and got his clothes on, the sun is up above the horizon!

Not the best we've seen!
Holly and I didn't wait to see the results 'cos Holly had already explained all about the the earth rotation and the effect of the Jet Stream and stuff like that!

She can be right clever sometimes!

........and another thing you have to take into account is El NiƱo........
'Who's Ele Ninoo?'
We had some fun when The Missus forgot to shut the bedroom door when Old Two Legs let Eric and May out for their rampage.

Holly got all protective about her Bonio and Little Miss May was trying to work out how to get it and Eric was hiding under the pillow keeping out of the way!

Eric the Brave?

Lunchtime was fun, we got down to the football field and I found the ball under the front seat. OTL threw it across the field and off I went!

Now, as you know, I don't do 'Fetch' and I don't do 'Retrieve' either! So, when I got the ball I headed off, well away from OTL and started to kill the ball!

Kill! Kill! KILL!
I do love a really good ball killing! I'm sure I must be related to the ferrets 'cos they love killing the toys as well!

If he wants it, then he'll have to catch me!
We headed off towards the shore and were met by a couple of Bozo woofers dancing about. Holly and I kept back 'cos those types of woofers are just too big for us to play with!

The Two Legs that were with them asked if one of the woofers belonged to us!

As if!

Then one of the TL's asked, 'Are you The Ferret Man?'

'Yes' says OTL 'I answer to that name'

Seems they often see OTL walking the ferrets but have never got close enough 'cos they think the ferrets may attack their woofer!

As If!

Mind you, it's a good idea!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Wet Monday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back again!

Well, this Easter is not the baking hot, sun bathing, swimming in the sea holiday we had hoped for.

It seems to have done nothing but rain!

This morning it was raining as we headed off for the Sea Wall. Old Two Legs had to put us on our lead until we got down the path a bit 'cos otherwise we would have got back into the car!

We spotted a couple of rabbits and gave chase. I tell you, who ever designed them made a big mistake when they were given a white tail!

I mean, it's like a beacon for us woofers and dead easy to chase after, right up until they go underground and get away!

Still it's good fun!

Back home May and Eric had a great time rampaging and Miss May has shown no signs of wobbling and instead she has had great fun beating up Eric!

Lunchtime we decided to let Freddy and Wendy come out with us 'cos there seemed to be a break in the rain and the Sun was poking from behind the clouds!

Now it has been a while since Freddy and Wendy have been out, so they were a little cautious about all this open space and wet grass!

Freddy had a sniff and a little dig in the grass but decided that a cuddle with OTL was the best form of exercise!

I remember this sniff, it's Woofer Wee!
Holly and I had fun chasing a couple of crows while the ferrets worked their way across the football field.

You know, it would be easier to chase Freddy!
Miss Wendy thought it great fun and scampered ahead sniffing all the familiar sniffs. She even took interest in the mole hills.

Looking at the mole hills we reckon that the mole has left home 'cos there hasn't been any new earth thrown up for several days.

If I can't sniff mole, can I try for a mouse?
Back home Freddy was all please with his run out and says he is looking forward to the next outing, providing it's not snowing!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Good News Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, this morning, as normal, after our walk down on the Sea Wall we got home to find Eric and May rattling the cage door to get out! Old Two Legs opened the door and the ferrets flew out as if their tails were on fire!

OTL followed Miss May for a while and reported that there was no sign of falling over or wobbling!

She even managed to beat up Eric, just for fun!

OTL sat on the stairs watching them both and he had a tear in his eye. We were not sure why, maybe it was the sight of May bouncing about or it could be the memory of just how much the vet cost!

Down on the sea front the wind had a bit of an 'edge' to it and we reckon we could sniff snow in the air!

A couple of Canada Geese flew past at speed calling out that they were heading north to get away from the snow!

Bye Girls, we're off up North where it's warmer!
This got us thinking, we must have a look at the weather forecast when we get back home!

Snow? Did they say Snow?
Holly reckons the geese were just trying to wind us up!

Back home it was chicken and a snooze before heading out again for a wander along the Sea Wall.

This time we took May and Eric with us and as normal, Eric decided he would rather have a carry until he got back to the field!

OK, we can walk back to the car from here!
Being the weekend, that means there is loads of visitors plonking along the Sea Wall going Ooooo and Ahhhh!

There is also the chance of a strange woofer so Holly and I keep our eyes open for any danger while the ferrets have fun!

OK, if he heads this way, you go left and I'll go right then we can bite his tail, that'll sort him!
Miss May had a long walk and there was no signs of anything wrong with her walking, so we reckon she is all OK and healthy again, especially as she had several rolls in sniffs!

No sign of any snow yet so we reckon it may have passed us by and the Canada Geese will have to come all the way back!

Let's hope that Archie Babes Two Legs is better especially as Archie has been spending so much time sitting on her head to keep her warm!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

TM gets a surprise and May gets a visit to the vet!

Yo Ho Woofers!

The Lads are back, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy ad Eric de Ferret!

Well, wot a day we have had!

We were up a little late this morning, Old Two Legs over slept and I must admit that I was enjoying being tucked up close to his back, all nice and warm!

We headed down to the Sea Wall and noticed that the customs ship had finally gone off chasing Pirates!

There is was....Gone!
Back home we settled down to a little rest while OTL de pooed the ferret cages but that had to wait a little while.

Miss May and Eric were upstairs in their cage when OTL opened the bottom door and the pair came charging down the ramps and corner levels until they jumped into OTL's hand and charged off to rampage around the house. Well, that's wot normally happens but today Eric was first out and Miss May came charging behind, except today she fell off the bottom ramp, not very high but she went crashing onto the cage floor and did a sort of forward roll and landed up on her back!

Of course OTL picked her up and gave her a cuddle just to make sure she was OK.

Then down on the floor she went and headed towards the top of the stairs when the front half of her body sort of fell over to the left. OTL picked her up again and did a closer inspection but there were no bumps., bruises or broken bones! So, she got put down and off she went down the stairs but this time she was being very careful. Not May fashion at all, normally she flies down with her paws hardly touching the carpet!

This time it was one step at a time!

Down stairs she started off towards the kitchen when her back half of her body fell over. She stopped, got her back end in line and off to the kitchen.

OTL doesn't like it when us woofers start acting out of the ordinary, it normally means trouble!

So, just after the vet was open, there was OTL and May explaining to the vet what had happened. Fearing problems like a mini stroke or brain damage or something like that.

The vet on the other paw thought that, after a thorough inspection, she decided that the fall off the ramp might have twisted or hurt her somewhere and the falling over was the result. So, May got an injection of some anti-inflammatory jollop and a cuddle!

OTL got a big bill and instructions to 'Keep an eye on her'. So, that's what we are doing but a ferret sleeps about eighteen hours a day so as you can imagine, she doesn't do too much walking!

Now that all happened first thing before OTL and The Missus were supposed to go out for lunch at the local Beefeater with number one daughter and her partner.

Lucky for them they managed to get to the restaurant in time and headed up to the top level of the restaurant.

There, hidden under the tables were all TM's children together with their children (TM's Grand children) and even their children (TM's Great Grandchildren)!

As an added surprise, Uncle Alun and Auntie Glynis were there as well!

Wot a surprise!

TM was tickled pink and everyone had a super lunch.

There was only one problem, us woofers were left at home and when TM and OTL arrived back home they didn't even have any doggy bags!

Auntie Sheila had dropped in to let us out in the garden for a wee and make sure we didn't get into trouble!

As if!

TM says that there were loads of woofers commenting on FaceAche and asking after Miss May. A BIG thanks to all for taking the time to send hugs and kisses!

So, after all that, we are heading off to bed for an early night, we just can't take all this excitement!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy ad Eric de Ferret!

Friday is fun!

Hi Woofers1

Daisy Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

It looks like everyone is on holiday today, loads of cars parked up that normally would have gone off to work!

Mind you, it does mean we get to drive down to the beach without being run off the road by coaches and trucks coming in the opposite direction!

Down on the beach the customs boat was still at anchor, so they haven't caught any pirates yet!

Still waiting for Black Beard!
We stood for a while but it still didn't move so we left it watching the ships go past, maybe lunchtime it will sail off towards the horizon!

Old Two Legs spent the morning messing about with 'Paperwork' so we got a chance to have a super snooze!

Lunchtime OTL got our rain coats out of the cupboard, so that was a bad sign!

Walking in the rain is not one of our favourite things!

We got down to the football field and it was still raining. I did some jumping up at OTL to remind him to get the ball out but the last time we saw it was inside the car, I was having a chew on the yellow bits!

Finally OTL dug the ball out from under the seat, locked the car doors and threw the ball across the field.

I chased after it.

OTL walked a little way towards the shore.

I walked the opposite way, deeper into the football field.

OTL turned and mumbling something under his breath set off in hot pursuit after me!

I picked up the ball and headed further into the field.

OTL mumbled some more!

It went on for a little while and in the end even OTL was laughing at the situation!

Holly on the other paw got fed up waiting for us to finish the game and had a poo right in the middle of the goal posts!

OTL spotted that and collected the poo just after finally getting the ball off me!

It was the same game on our way back to the car, throw the ball, chase the ball, chase Daisy, throw the ball, chase the ball, chase Daisy!

Wot Fun!

We loved the tale of Archie Babes walk and being woofed at by a mini Bozo. Next time threaten to eat him, that normally works!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Watching for Pirates and Smugglers!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

We have noticed that there seems to be more container ships heading up the Thames towards the Gateway Project than a few months ago.

The Container Port at Thamesport doesn't seem so busy, there isn't the number of trucks hauling containers across the Hoo Peninsular, maybe they are all going up the Thames to off load?

With all this extra traffic we have seen the customs boat off Grain, waiting just off shore. Today it was parked just beyond the low water mark and mixed with the sun rise it looked rather dramatic!

Keeping an eye open for  smugglers!
Just for a change the rain kept off today but it was still too clod to take the ferrets out for a walk and to be honest, they said they would rather stay indoors having a good rampage!

Rampaging wears you out!
Lunchtime we were back down the sea front and Old Two Legs had brought the tennis ball so we had a game of chase. That is, OTL throws the ball and I run after it, then I run off down the field while OTL chases me trying to get the ball back so he can throw it and I run after it, then I run down the field and.....well you get the idea and it does help him stay fit!

Catch me if you can!
Down on the sea front we saw that the customs ship was still on station. We have seen it in the past, moored at anchor, then, without any warning, suddenly took off and headed out to sea!

Not today, it just sat there watching the ships go past!

Enjoying the afternoon sun!
Back home we spent the afternoon snoozing 'cos OTL was busy getting the orders all packed and down to the carriers.

He is such a busy little OTL!

Let's hope we get some sun over the weekend!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

A Wet Wednesday!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, The Wet Woofers, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, today has been a Quiet Day 'cos we were up early and it was raining, not much, but there was rain falling out of the sky!

Being early means it is still dark and there wasn't a sunrise to photograph!

So, we were left with a little bit of blossom to try and make a master piece out of!

If you half close your eyes you can just make out the Moaner Lisa!
Looking across to Sheerness wasn't any better, in fact, not very exciting at all!

Did you know there are scorpions over there on a wall!
Heading back to the car Holly spotted a couple of rabbits in the picnic area and gave chase. Soppy Holly has no chance of catching them but she tried and just ended up being out of breath!

One day, just wait, I'll get you one day!
Lunchtime it was horrid, it was raining and we had to wear out rain coats, Old Two Legs didn't take the camera out with him 'cos he said that it wasn't that water proof!

Back home we had a bowl of chicken each and that was followed by our treat of a Jumbone Chew!

Let's hope tomorrow is better!

Bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

We have a Killer in our garden!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Wot a fun day!

We were up early again this morning 'cos Old Two Legs was hoping to catch the sunrise but although we saw the sun, it wasn't big, nor was it bright!

Ten seconds later it disappeared!
Then he got all interested in a bit of rose bush that was and is now just one branch sticking up in the air!

It's a good sign, one bud and two thorns!

The early bud!
Over on the mud flats we could see the Oyster Catchers poking around in the mud looking for .....worms!

Must not talk with my beak full!
Back in the football field  OTL was throwing the tennis ball and I was chasing it, then I'd run a bit further away and try to kill the ball and strip it's cover off!

Rats, I didn't see him coming!
That was it, back home for a snooze and a bowl of Doggy Scoff!

The Missus was sloshing the glue and glitter all over her creations when out of the corner of her eye she spotted a Sparrow Hawk on the garden fence ripping a mouse apart!

Yep! The Sparrow Hawk sat on the fence and ate the mouse including it's tail!

OTL got the camera out and clicked a few pictures of the bird after the mouse had been devoured!

Eric was trying to climb up OTL's leg to see the bird, so OTL lifted him up and the Sparrow Hawk saw him and you could see what he was thinking!

OK, send the ferret down and I'll eat him as well!
Looking at the bird, we think it is a youngster, maybe last years fledgling and it loves our garden 'cos there is always loads of sparrows and finches hanging around the feeders, instant food source!

Four Ferrets? Sounds like a whole weeks nosh!
We are going to keep an eye open for that bird 'cos we reckon he might get ideas above his station and try eating us!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

TM is Twenty One.............Again!

Hi Woofers!

Us here again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, it's happened again, The Missus has woken up to find she is another year older!

I mean, just how many times can you be Twenty One?

We cannot say just how many 'cos she has threatened to 'Sort Us Out' if we dare let the secret out!

Mind you, we all have to wear welding goggles when all the candles have been lit on the birthday cake!

Now, we have been working very hard on this, so, sit down and when you are comfortable, we'll begin!

Happy Birthday TM,
Ten Twenty One's a Good Game
Drinking Booze from Yer Wellie
Will get you a bad name!

There, and not a mention of a Wee or a Poo!

We got chased out of the house and landed up on the sea front just in time to see the sun crawling up over the horizon.

Not a big splash of colour but not bad for March!
A bit later we spotted some Brant Geese flying low and close to the water. Had OTL had his telephoto lens he might have got closer to the birds!

Eyes Left, OTL on Parade!
We had some fun at lunch time, Eric and May came out with us for a walk and they both found ferrety sniffs and proceeded to roll in them!

A Good Sniff and some Warm Sun on your back, what is better?
Holly and I thought that was a great idea but OTL was too close to us so we had to wait until we got to the football field.

Once there we ran onto the pitch and both had a super duper roll!

Twin Rolls!
TM has been spending the day looking at the loads of birthday cards that have arrived. There was even one that didn't have who it was from!

It was two poppy sort of orange flowers, lovely card but who sent it?

OTL said it was him but we know he was telling porkies!

Tonight we plan to have a Chinese Take-A-Way, so it's Plawn Clackers and Plawns and Flied Lice and anything else we can snaffle!

Of course, there is always the bottles of bubbly chilling away in the fridge!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Snoozy Sunday

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret again!

I tell you wot, this mucking about with the clocks certainly messes up you day! I mean, the time when we should be waking up is replaced by a walk along the sea front and times when we should be chasing Flogs in the pond is taken up by snoozing!

Trust the Two Legs to mess it all up!

Down on the sea front it was almost the same as yesterday.........Grey!

Oh! Look! Sheerness!
When we parked the car in the car park there was a motorcycle covered with a motorcycle tent thingy. Now this is new, we don't get motorcycles covered up and left overnight. We looked around to see if there was anyone camping on the sea front but there was nothing to be seen!

Strange!

We left the bike and headed off for our walk. On the way back Old Two Legs spotted something in the water, just off shore.

OK, Wot is it?
Lucky for us OTL can zoom in and enlarge the picture, clever or wot?

Look! A Bozo in a Boat!
Now, we are not sure what he was doing paddling his canoe on the sea when there is so much mist around but there are some strange TL's visit our sea front!

Hey, talking of Bozo's, lunchtime we were walking along when this big mean looking bozo woofer with a bad attitude came up to OTL.

Holly and I legged it and left OTL to sort him out but OTL knew this woofer and the woofer just loves OTL!

Why is it that all the big ugly looking Bozo Woofers love OTL?

Come on OTL, tickle my tail!
His owner was keeping Bozo on the lead 'cos she said he was just too friendly!

Yeah, Right, rather you than me!

Glad to hear that Archie Babe can reduce the number of pills but the sharp needle every month sound very brave!

See you all tomorrow, providing we can wake up in time. OTL says it takes him all summer to get used to the clocks going forward, just in time for when they go back!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
