Well, it seems to work!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

Well now, have we had some fun with the oldish computer! Because it is running a very old control system it's access to the Internet has been cancelled. Let's face it, how many other computers still run Windows 98?

Yeah, OK not counting Old Two Legs!

Well, as the laptop is off on Monday we just got to have some sort of communication with the Internetty Thingy and OTL has been bashing away on the keyboard trying to find passwords that still work!

It was the middle of the afternoon that finally we managed to hook up to URL's and SMTP and other silly sounding things that make the computer talk to you all!

OTL got a lot of help from the ferrets as they ran across the keyboard just as OTL was putting in a new password and completely cod's it up!

Not that Eric was bothered, all he wanted was to get to the bowl of rabbit food OTL has for breakfast!

Password? Yeah, hang on until I've finished this!
Early this morning we got down to the sea shore to see the sunrise, well not exactly the real sunrise but rather the afterglow as it headed towards midday!

Can't wait until autumn and the real sunrises!
Holly and I got a bit bored waiting for OTL to click away with his camera phone, he kept taking pictures of his thumb!

If he takes any more pictures of his thumb I'm going to bite it off!
Mind you, even I was getting fed up and it wasn't long before I headed off for a wee!

OK, I've had enough, I'm off for a wee!
Now for some good news, it's been raining for most of the day, well OK, not exactly pouring but rather drizzling, however, with a bit of luck it will be freezing cold and at least six feet of snow and then we will get out of our hair cut and shampoo!

Well, we can hope!

Keep your claws crossed for us!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Loosing the Laptop?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

You know there are some days when nothing happens, like no fights, no winding Old Two Legs up or even setting the ferrets to bite The Missus toes when she forgets to put her wellies on when the ferrets are let loose!

Well, we have had one of those days. First thing this morning it started to rain and both Holly and I reckon with a bit of luck it may carry on over the weekend.

Because of the rain, there were very few insects out flying around, so even Old Two Legs didn't get a chance for another 'Bug Shot'!

It was the same at lunch time and the rain did ease off a tiny bit but all OTL could find to photograph was a branch!

I mean, we said he should Leaf it alone but he said he wanted to branch out into a new vista!

Well, it came from the trunk line to get here!
This afternoon was just as bad, the only exciting thing was he managed to get confirmation that the menders are expecting his laptop on Monday to replace the keyboard.

Now that's OK but it could take up to twenty one days to turn it around, three weeks!

I think I had better check to see if we can still do my diary on the old computer, I mean, we don't want to miss out on the going on in this part of the world!

See you tomorrow,

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret

Getting Prepaired for the weekend?

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Well, it has been another hot day and would you believe it but at lunchtime, were it not for the need of a wee and a poo, we wouldn't have gone out at all!

This mornings walk we saw a fox mooching around all the Fair Peoples caravan and it even pinched some food from one of the woofers bowls!

That was until the woofer noticed it from it's kennel and chased it off!

We had seen the fox before in the woods and OTL even got a photo of it before!

This morning he didn't bring the camera 'cos all of the bugs were still asleep and all he had to photograph would be closed up flowers!

Mind you, midday it all starts humming and out they all come!

First is the flies and this one was about 6mm long!
It wasn't only the bugs wot was making all the buzzing sounds, some Two Legs in a speed boat came buzzing along close to the shore!

One noisy one close up and three more further out!
I must admit, we really didn't feel like running around and when Old Two Legs told us to  'Sit and Stay', we thought is was a good idea!

Yeah, OK, we will stay, just get on with it!
It's amazing just how many bugs sit and stay for OTL, that is until they get fed up and fly off!

i was going to sit and stay anyway!
Of course the small Soldier Beetles were totally unaware that OTL was clicking away and the caterpillar was fast asleep anyway!

Don't say a word, he might then go away!
this afternoon we got a good brushing down by OTL and he used three different brushes, one unknotted the hair and the other pulled the loose hair out. OTL reckons that come Saturday we will get a bath and a hair cut, providing it isn't cold or pouring with rain!

Dear God of the Woofers, please make it rain!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Tha Fair has arrived!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

It has been a bit of run around today. First of all this morning we headed off for our morning stroll and were surprised to see how many show waggons had turned up in the football field and were assembling the rides for the Village Fete this coming weekend!

As we walked past the caravans a big hairy monster of a woofer tried to charge out from under the caravan to woof at us and maybe chew Holly and i to bits!

It was a good job that he was tied to a metal pole driven into the ground1

Mind you, it gave Holly a chance to wiggle her butt at him and blow raspberries as well!

The sun was out and the tide was in, so, being a crafty woofer, I sort of wandered ahead and managed to get far enough ahead to go in for a swim!

I really needed a swim and to finish it off I had a good roll in the sand, much to Old Two Legs disgust!

Oh,  but this does feel good!
Mind you, Holly took the time to enjoy a really good roll in a sniff she came across on the path!

You can stick the water I just can't get enough of this!
OTL was clicking away at everything that had more legs than him!

This is a Shield Bug of some description!
This cheeky little Grass Hopper was playing games with OTL 'cos every time OTL focused up on the bug, he ran around the other side of the grass!

Bet you can't see me now!
OTL has decided to get a new keyboard for his laptop and went onto the Toshiba website that does that stuff. He filled in loads of information and after loads of pages of gumpf the website crashed on him!

OTL is not a happy two legs!

Still, tomorrow is another day and he will try the next thing which is..................telephone!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

having a Good Time!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de ferret and Monty de Ferret back again!

Another warm day today, this good weather has been going on for some time now, although it is not as good as last year it is still warm enough for us1

Today has been a busy day what with all our rabbit chasing and stuff. we got down to the sea shore and found that a travelling fun fair had arrived on the football field. now we thought that it was only on bank holidays or occasions like that was when they normally arrived but we don't thin there is one due for some time!

Holly did suggest that they may stay until August Bank Holiday but I'm sure she was just making that up!

Today The Missus and Old Two Legs went down to pick up the new car, TM said it was funny how the salesman started to show off when OTL refused to buy a GAP insurance for an additional four hundred pounds! Then there was some other stuff he wanted OTL to buy but showed off even more when OTL said that he would keep the money and spend it on himself instead of the car!

When they finally left the car showroom the first stop was one of OTL's customers to pick up a load of stuff OTL is going to be repairing over the next few weeks! What is even better, he has to polish the stuff with furniture polish just to get the grime off.

We reckon there are at least a hundred and fifty units1

OTL does get all the good jobs!

That's all for today, not too exciting and tomorrow is going to be worse, programing and more polishing and even more programing!

I think we will be sleeping a lot tomorrow!

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de ferret and Monty de Ferret!

A Night at The Proms but not for us!

Hello Woofers!

We are back again! Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Well, it was rather warm yesterday especially in the morning and we headed down to the sea shore as normal and Old Two Legs took the camera to see what small bugs he could photograph. Holly and I were satisfied with the sniffs we could find and the occasional fox poo that has a super effect on our noses!

It's the sniff that says 'ROLL IN ME' while OTL screams out 'Gerroffoutathatstinkingpileof5H1T!'

OTL has no soul!

We started off with a picture of a cargo ship heading up the Thames to unload.

Brexit? Wot Brexit?
Not as pretty as a Butterfly but much bigger!

We saw a Wormy Man digging in the mud. We called out to ask him haw many he had but I suppose he didn't understand our woofing, maybe he is a cat person!

I said, How Many Woofin Worms?
OTL spotted a marbled white butterfly, one he had not seen before. not exactly the rarest butterfly in the country, however, it beads in the south of the UK and when you see it it looks 'Striking'!

Looks a bit ragged around the wings but striking it is!
A couple of feet away there was a Small White having a breather from flying around the undergrowth.

When it opens it's wings they have spots on them!
This on is striking, not rare cos' it is a Gate Keeper but OTL still goes 'Wow!' when he sees it!

It's the Gate Keeper.
Now, half way through the afternoon OTL and The Missus headed off to Rochester Castle to watch the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra play a selection of 'Bond Movie Themes'. Auntie Jane and uncle Ian treated them to the event and even brought a picnic along as well. trouble was, no dogs allowed, just Two Legs, still they had a great time and joined in the 'Rule Britannia and Jerusalem' songs at the end and they even got up out of their seats to clap and wave!

Then as the last song was playing they let off a load of fireworks and both Holly and I decided that we would not have liked that bit!

OTL and TM doing the Hornpipe?
Today was fun 'cos there was F1 racing at Silverstone and half way through we all fell asleep! You know it's a good job they record the race so they can watch it when they wake up!

See you tomorrow after we pick up the new car!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Friday and the Weekend starts!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret back with you again!

Well, it's Friday and as normal Old Two Legs has been running around in circles again! He has been out most of the day with a customer who was in need of 'Technical Help', enuff said, give OTL a box of tools and a problem and he is as happy as a puppy with a plastic ball!

Talking of balls, Holly and I found a ball at lunchtime when The Missus took us out for a walk. It was great fun chasing it down the farm path after the ball especially when it went into the plants and it required our noses to find it again!

We are looking forward to seeing some of the ladies up at the village hall and with any luck we will see Rosie!

Miss Wendy is looking forward to getting a cuddle!

I don't know about you lot but we are looking forward to getting some cooler weather, this sun is making us too hot!

Monday isn't far away and TM will be off to pick up the new car! OTL has changed over the insurance and some other stuff so she will be able to say she is the first to drive it!

Next of course will be OTL and after that Holly and I will be investigating all the sniffs all over the car!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Brrm, Brrm!

Hello Woofers!

Back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

Missed us yesterday?

Well, we got a good excuse, it was Old Two Legs fault!

Getting close to the end of the financial year, OTL reckons he can reduce his tax bill by loosing some profit and rather than pay out a bonus to himself and have to pay tax on top of that, instead he decided to renew the Godmobile which in a few days, comes up to being three years old!

So, off he went, leaving us at home to guard the garden against birds and butterflies!

He went around several of the dealers in our area and had 'meaningful discussions' with all of them looking to get a good deal on part exchanging our old car.

Well, he said that there were some very silly offers and some down right crooked offers!

It was only when he went back to a dealer he had used before, having purchased a van and two other cars from before that he got what he called a 'sensible deal'!

So, Monday, midday we go down to the dealer and pick up the new car and Bye Bye to the old one!

....and only 51 miles on the clock!
Holly and I reckon we deserve a new bed in the back to go with the new car!

Today it has been very warm and OTL has been out with the camera again and  hunting Moths and Butterflies.

This is a Comma Butterfly
This one we believe is a Daytime Flying Moth.

A Common Heath Moth.
Of course there is always the Odd Ball Low flying Mothy Woofer!

Common Day Sleeping Woofer Holly Moth?
We met up with a newish woofer, we couldn't remember his name but he has to stay on the lead 'cos he has a bad heart and loves chasing rabbits, neither of which just don't mix!

I'd just love to bite a rabbits bum every now and again, just for fun of course!
Then of course you have the ultimate Flying Moth Dog, Me!

and I love rabbit chasing as well!
So, good fun this week and this afternoon OTL has been playing on the computer trying to set up the new HMRC VAT MTD which is a new way of paying the VAT!

OTL don't like the HMRC web site, he reckons it is ideal for government departments to make it difficult for mortals like OTL!

Still, he thinks it has now been registered and we await confirmation from HMRC in the next 72 hours!

Watch this space!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Navy Peas and stuff like that!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

We had some fun last night, you see Old Two Legs is always getting nagged by The Missus about what he eats and how he should eat 'Healthy' stuff with loads of fibre in it.

So, just to keep her quiet OTL has agreed to eat some stuff containing whole grains and stuff like that. On top of that, OTL has been playing on the Internetty Thingy and asked the question, 'What food is high in fibre?'

Well, wot came back nearly brought OTL to tears, almost all the stuff wot is 'Healthy' is stuff that taste like snake poo or gets seeds in between your teeth!

There was one item called Navy Peas that the writer even agreed it had 'Little or no taste'!

Holly and I suggested he try eating grass like wot we do when we got a grumbly tum!

There was one item that pleased OTL, it seems that Twiglets are high in fibre and OTL loves Twiglets, mind you, so do Holly and I!

This morning we could get the car into our normal car park, so, Holly wasn't confused when she walked back to the car park!

Just for a change, OTL decided to try some photographs of wild flowers, not bad for an amateur!

Gentle?
Spiky!

Another Gentle one!
Lunchtime the clouds were still overhead but it wasn't too bad. We left OTL to carry on with the big camera and another lens from this morning.

A Sparkly Back
Now there are loads of these but we are not sure of the name, wild sweet pea?

Well, the colour is good!
Finally OTL was playing 'Hide and Seek' witha grass hopping cricket!

Bet you can't see me now!
On the last bit before the car, I found this enormous pile of sniff that was calling to me something rotten and of course in I went!

OTL had to put on two pairs of rubber gloves and used up half a pack of Baby Wipes just to clean my back and the harness, well, it looks like I had a discussion with a shovel full of Doo Doo!

As soon as I got home I was plonked into the water tub and it was then that OTL began to rub and scrub and I was in that water for a long time!

Holly of course was woofing her tail off at my discomfort, it was not a pretty sight!

I think I have been ear marked for an early night tonight!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Holly gets confused!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret back again!

Another day of sunshine and cool breezes and Old Two Legs was up with the sparrows this morning, a busy day for him!

We loved the tale of Archie Babes Black Eyed Susan, we reckon he is going off us and has taken up plant hugging!

Now, that tenner, we reckon if you were daft enough to loose it then it should go to the PDSA anyway!

If you put the notice up reporting that you found it just how many two legs would march in and claim they lost it and how will they be able to prove it?

Give it to the PDSA or by Archie Babe his very own Black Eyed Susan plant!

We had a nice email from Aunty Glynis

Dear Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret

Thank you all so much for lending us OTL and TM for the last few days.  As Daisy has already pointed out in her Diary we Two Legs do enjoy our get togethers with nibbles, giggle juice and loads of natter.

Sorry about leaving you girls at home 'alone' but you should have seen some of the poor woofers who had been dragged out to the show with their two legs families, hot or wot! Even the children were looking very droopy and if they could have lolled out their tongues and panted we are certain they would have done so.

Because OTL No.2 has been a bit ill I (aka She Who Must Be Obeyed) ordered a chariot for the two days of the show so he would be able to get around the whole show and not slow down the shopping opportunities for TM and SWMBO - and it worked very well.

OTL No.2 buzzed around the showground, didn't run anybody over - a couple of near misses but a miss is as good as a mile - so no problem there. The basket on the front came in very handy for carrying all the bottles of water.

The Photo won't work here!
Mechanised Infantry

The chariot hire people were very nice but OTL No.2 mentioned that he had got some very 'funny' looks from people like 'wot's he doing pretending to be an invalid?' We came to the conclusion that it was just the 'does he take sugar' brigade and they don't count for anything anyway!

We thoroughly enjoyed being with you all and OTL and TM and would love to do it all over again - but probably not until next summer so don't panic!

Just so that you know we were looking after your TLs here’s a picture of TM enjoying a little rest and an ice cream whilst sorting out her ‘incoming’ matters on her mobile pingy whatsit:

The Photo won't work here either!

We had a lovely quiet drive back home and hope that you are enjoying having your TLs undivided attention, plus now it is much cooler you won’t need to be left at home all by yourselves!

Lots of cuddles and fusses from both OTL No.2 and SWMBO and thank you once again for a lovely long weekend.

Xxxxx Glynis Xxxxxx Alun

There now, wasn't that nice?

Today OTL has been playing with his camera on our walks, he is using his big camera to experiment with his 35mm lens. First of all he tried for a sunrise but we reckon he has done better!

OK, but, the sun has blown the detail out of the clouds!
Better was the shot of the woods. We reckon the patch of ground that is lit by a sun bean directs your eye to the centre of the picture and then sort of flops out to both left and right!

What do we know, we are only woofers!

Now, where does your eye land first of all?
Lunchtime he got close to this Dragonfly and almost got all the dragonfly in focus but the tail is a little fuzzy!

I only eat this as a last resort!
Lunchtime we couldn''t park in our normal car park 'cos the workmen were digging up the path so we had to go back to the old car park. Now this was OK until we were supposed to go back to the car but Holly got all confused and sat next to the car that wasn't there!

OTL had to go and put her on the lead 'cos she couldn't work out where the car had gone!

I'm sure we left it here, some one has pinched it!

Never mind they may be digging up the road tomorrow and Holly will get all confused again!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!
