Sunday is for relaxing!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

You know, Sunday is one of those days that everything in this kennel goes at a slower pace. Like, The Missus stayed in bed until half six, where normally she gets up at three thirty with things buzzing around in her head. Old Two Legs has often said that she should get someone to have a look at her head if it keeps buzzing like that!

No, today it was six thirty and as soon as she got up she was saying she couldn't find the pain killers 'cos she got a head ache. I mean, what's a little head ache?

OTL was up and running and soon we were off to the beach. The sunrise wasn't as spectacular as it has been but he was clicking away practising his 'Composition', whatever that is!

Now, if he could move the moon over a bit he could get it balanced!
We met up with a Black Bozo Labrador who had an LED light attached to his collar, I mean, who wants to go walkies with landing lights attached to your collar?

Cleared for landing on runway two!
Holly said that a sensible woofer would use his nose to sniff out the interesting bits, not use landing lights!

We were investigating the mud flats and other than the Brant Geese making a noise there didn't seem to be any sign if the straight depression we saw yesterday but the mounds were still there.

We have all made notes in the 'I Spy' book Holly uses to make notes of strange things.

I suppose you could call it her 'I Spy Strange Things' book!

No sign of the straight depression we saw yesterday.
Being Sunday, OTL was a little more relaxed about us and left us to investigate a really strong sniff that turned into a seriously whiffy pile of poo that was calling us to have a roll and we did and was all over the place!

We got a good wash when we got back and the harnesses had to go into the washing machine!

Great!

TM developed a sore throat as well as the headache and decided to wrap up in a blanket and spend the day on the sofa watching the TV!

It's good news that Mrs Boy is heading this way, that means Archie Babe will get treats and cuddles and games!

OTL has spent some time up in the office watching NetFlix 'cos he says that getting near to TM is too dangerous if she starts sneezing and dribbling all over the place!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Saturday fun!

Hello Woofers!

We are back again!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Last night Holly had a Dicky Tummy and was in need of eating grass. She started off at the last wee before bed, then she woke Old Two Legs up at eleven thirty, then again at twelve thirty.

It was after that OTL fell asleep and was soon snoring his tail off, however, Holly felt the need to go out again around two thirty and again at three thirty but it was The Missus who volunteered to do the morning shift and she stayed up with Holly, both sleeping on the sofa!

It was great having all the bed! Just OTL and I stretched out and comfortable!

Today TM was off to the village hall and from what I was told, she had trouble keeping awake!

Holly on the other paw woke up and said she felt much better and didn't need any more grass!

All this getting up early stuff means we got down the sea side before the sun got up and as normal, OTL was clicking away!

First we spotted these two early morning fishermen.

No, You go back to the car and get the worms!
By messing about with the white balance on the camera he got this one which Holly and I think is the best one today!

Ethereal or wot?
Going out so early means we don't get to see all our old mates but we have met up with some new woofers.

There are two Wired Haired Foxhounds that we have great fun woofing at and they always answer by giving us a good woofing!

The only problem is that their Two Legs gets all 'Showy Off' and seems to think we are a pair hooligans!

As if!

Lunchtime we left the ferrets in bed 'cos it was splashing with rain and they really don't do rain, in fact they don't do rain more than Holly!

On the way back to the car we were studying the mud flats and it seemed that there was a sort of subsidence from the steps all the way out to the sea and in a straight line. Now, you would not expect there it be a natural straight line, it would sort of wobble out to the sea. Also the mud flat seemed to be rather 'patchy' when compared to the rest of the mud flats!

Could we have something emerging from the mud flats?

We will have another look tomorrow!

Now, back to TM and her sleepy head.

On the way back she dropped into the Kebab Shop and got some fish and chips for her and a Kofti Kebab for OTL and OTL even shared his with us, not a lot but at least he didn't try to give us the 'Pickle!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

.........and then it rained!

Yo Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Wot a day!

Old Two Legs fell out of bed early this morning, well, to be honest, Holly kicked him out!

Were it not for me grabbing his night shirt, he may have fallen all the way to the floor!

Naughty Holly!

Mind you, she was asleep when she kicked him so it was not as if she did it on purpose!

As soon as we got out the door this morning, it was raining and it didn't stop all the time we were out walking along the sea front.

It was a good job that OTL had our rain coats in the car or else we might have got very wet!

Lunchtime was a little better, no rain to begin with but as soon as we got into the car park, it started again!

The ferrets cuddled right up into OTL's arms, the camera was left in the car, again and off we went!

The rain stopped, held off for fifteen minutes allowing us time for a wee, then it started again!

As we got near to the football field the rain had stopped and the ferrets were fidgeting to get down for a dig in the mole hill!

We didn't go straight home but instead went off to deliver some stuff and fill up the fuel tank in the big car.

We got home all ready for a snooze while OTL was busy booking up B&B and the Ferry and the boat trip to see the Sea Eagles and getting all ready for his trip up to the Isle of Mull with his cousin Alun.

The Missus says she is a bit miffed 'cos she isn't going but not half as miffed as we are!

We all fancy a trip to Mull and a paddle in the sea and see the eagles!

Better still we will miss meeting up with all those Heland Coos!

What have we got to look forward to? Doggy Scoff and short walks around the farm!

Still, we have got our holiday to look forward to and I will get a swim and maybe push Holly in for a paddle as well!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Holly is in trouble, again!

Hello Woofers!

It's me and the gang again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, today has not been as exciting as some of the other days, I mean, no Nargles to beat up, no woofers to woof at and the rabbits stayed in their holes in the ground and didn't come out 'cos it was just too cold!

There was a load of frost all over the car this morning and it took longer than normal for it to melt off the windscreen before we could set off for the sea side!

When we got there the sun was getting close to poking it's head over the horizon, but Old Two Legs managed to take a couple of shots.

There you go, sea shore to infinity!
Here is a Landscape view of the same shot, not sure which one I like the best, maybe this one 'cos it doesn't have the sea shore in it and it is just colour merging into colour right across the picture!

There is nothing like a colourful merge to set you up for the day!
Back home OTL has been working out the logistics for a trip up to the Isle of Mull for a few days with Uncle Alun.

Rotten spoilsport will be leaving us woofers in the hands of The Missus! I hope he gives her instructions on how to look after us properly and where we can go for our walks and of course, there is the ferret cages and the poo shovelling!

Of course we will be missing OTL so we need 'Comfort Food' like chicken and beef steaks and Plawn Clackers.

Holly and I will help OTL write a list out!

Lunchtime we woke Freddy and Wendy so they could come out with us for a walk in the sunshine. Mind you, we didn't tell them about the cold wind that was blowing!

They stayed cuddled up in OTL's arms until we all got back to the football field and then it was 'Mole Hunting Time'!

I'm sure someone has wee'd on this one!
Freddy was interested in the mounds of earth and just so he can tell which one he had investigated, he did a big wee on top of all the mounds.

A ferret needs a lot of wee to mark all these mounds!
Miss Wendy was more interested in getting back to the car 'cos she said her paws were getting cold!

Back home we were resting our paws in the bedroom when we spotted a cat outside looking for a place to have a poo in our front garden!

Well, that was it, no cat is going to poo over our garden and just to let him know, Holly flew at the window woofing her tail off!

Trouble was, she jumped up and managed to get her claws entangled in the net curtain and it sort of ripped a little bit.

Well, actually, it ripped a lot and really wasn't any good as a curtain any more!

TM was not happy, I mean, like, should we just let cats poo over our garden?

You can imagine what she would say if she trod in some cat poo when getting into the car, smelly cat poo everywhere!

Now, I've checked the calendar and tomorrow it's Friday, half day, early closing!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Did you spot the mistake?

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back again!

Now, who pays attention when they read my blog? Mmmmm?

How many spotted it wasn't Monday yesterday? Mmmm?

We have a day out and it all goes to pot!

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!

First thing this morning Old Two Legs was sitting in the office eating his breakfast and playing on the computer. The TV was on and he heard that the SpaceX rocket had fired off and was carrying a Tesla Electric Car which looked like it was steering the rocket in space!

Well, click, click and he found the live feed from the rocket being shown on the internetty thing!

Have a look!

Spacex and the Tesla Car

We think it's brilliant that the earth is in the background as it zooms around the earth before going off to Mars and then into orbit around the sun!

Well, after all that excitement we headed off for the morning walk and found that it had just been snowing. Trouble was, it melted as soon as it got to the ground!

Mind you, down by the car park I stopped for a sniff and spent too long sniffin' so OTL asked why I wasn't keeping up, Snow Blindness! I replied but I don't think he believed me!

Honest, it was!
OTL pointed out a patch of snow and said that it wouldn't cause blindness unless you rubbed it in your eyes!

OK, well it has melted a little!
We went off looking for some more snow but it had all gone!

Well, I reckon there was some here!
It was a little drafty which added to the cold so we didn't hang about too long, especially as we were in danger of getting frost bite!

When we got back there was some snow on the big car but it didn't last long and before long it had all dripped onto the ground!

Definitely get snow blindness on this one!
Back home it was snoozy time until lunchtime and today OTL managed to get his lunch before we headed off to hunt moles!

We took May and Eric with us 'cos Freddy was fast asleep and snoring! We reckoned that he wouldn't be too pleased about being dragged out into the cold!

We took some time digging the mole hills and Miss May had a wild time looking for the mole tunnel!

It's down here somewhere!
Eric offered to help but said that if the mole came out he would leave it to May to 'Sort it out'!

Come on, dig!
Eric did a bit more digging but his heart wasn't really into it 'cos Holly said that moles had big sharp teeth!

Just how big are the teeth?
Back home we found that there was Doggy Scoff in the bowl so we won't be having that until bed time, it depends on the muggins later on!

See you tomorrow and let's hope it is a bit warmer!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Monday Fun!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, we had a good day yesterday, no sign of a squirrel, but, loads of sniffs!

The ferrets said they had a good day with plenty of time to catch up on their sleep!

We reckon Freddy slept all day and all night 'cos today he was tearing about all over the place and play fighting with Old Two Legs this morning!

Down on the Sea Wall this morning it was cold, I mean, like there was a strong breeze blowing in off the sea and we were glad to get back into the car!

It's as cold as it looks!
Lunchtime we took Eric and May out for a walk but they stayed cuddled up in OTL's arms for most of the walk.

Holly and I went after the sniffs but the wind was chilling them, so we couldn't really enjoy them like wot we normally do!

So, what else could we do?

Mole Hunting!

We got back to the football field both Eric and May wriggled to get down from OTL's arms and headed to the mole hills.

There was one that had more earth thrown up so Eric and May got digging to see if the mole was still there!

I'm sure I can sniff something down there!
Holly and I set to on a couple of mole hills down the field a bit but there was no sign of the mole. We reckoned it was back in bed eating a lunchtime worm or two!

Mole Sniffs but no mole!
We decided to visit all the Mole Hills together and see which one is the strongest sniff but we still couldn't decide where the mole was hiding!

Nah! No Mole Sniffs in this one!
In the end we all got fed up and headed off to the car to get warm again!

We didn't go straight home but rather of to deliver some stuff down to one of OTL's customers who was panicking for some stuff!

Then it was back home for a snooze and one of our chews!

Let's hope that tomorrow it gets a bit warmer!

Bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

We go a visiting!

Yo Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back again!

Well, today we have been visiting Uncle Alun and Auntie Glynis who are Old Two Legs cousin. They live in Surrey and are moments walk away from a forest! We have been  here before but it is always great fun 'cos there are loads of squirrels running around the place and as you know, Holly and I do love a good squirrel chase!

Most of the time we have been listening to them laughing and talking and it seems like OTL is off to Scotland with Alun a bit later this year looking for Sea Eagles!

Mind you, that means The Missus will have to look after us and take us out for walks and read us a bedtime story like wot OTL does!

We haven't taken any photo's today 'cos OTL spent all the time chasing after us who were chasing squirrels!

OTL said he saw a rabbit but we didn't believe him 'cos there were no rabbit sniffs anywhere!

Just when we were getting comfortable, we were left on guard duty while they all went out for a meal and you know what?

There were no Doggy Bags brought back!

All we had were Brambles biscuits and water!

If we are lucky, we may get chicken tomorrow, claws crossed!

We are off to bed now, it's been a long day and we have got to tell the ferrets what we've been up to today and hear their tales!

Bye Bye for now,

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Ferweezing Weather!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back with you.

Now, as you know, down here in the South East we get all the best weather. While the rest of the UK is freezing or stuck in snow or floating off down a flooded river, us lot are sunbathing on the beach and sipping ice cooled drinks!

Unfortunately, today, it wasn't like that, there was a stiff wind blowing in off the North Sea and as you know, the first thing a North Wind does when it lands on these shores?

It blows right up our tails!

It was not nice, in fact it was horrid!

It's Brass Monkey Weather!
We didn't go down on the beach, mainly because Holly Chops has been banned from digging up the sand with her nose 'cos her eyes are still being treated by Old Two Legs and he says that he isn't going to pay out any more money for self inflicted conjunctivitis!

We did get a look at the beach and it had been washed of all sea weed and rubbish but OTL still said 'NO!'
But it looks soooo tempting!
Back home we watched some TV and caught up with the last of the Britannia series, good and blood thirsty!

Those Romans were a right lot of thugs!

Holly was rooting for the Druids but they headed off to North West Wales to get out of the way!

Lunchtime we went out again and this time OTL took Freddy and Wendy and both stayed cuddled up in OTL's arms until we got back to the football field where they had a sniff of the mole holes but decided that a warm car was the best idea!

It's all yours Daisy Chops, I'm off!
Tell you wot, I think Izzy and her gang are really big and brave going for a hair cut this time of the year. I try to keep all my hair until Spring Time arrives, all this Short Back and Sides stuff can leave a girl with chilblains!

I don't look too bad with a bit of hair unlike Holly Dog who looks a bit of a scruff bag!

The Missus is out today so we have been having nibbles and TV this afternoon. Mind you, Holly will have to clear up all the carrot bits before TM gets back or OTL will be in trouble........again!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Soggy Saturday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

You know, it is strange how the weather can be quite acceptable during the week but come the weekend, it's YUK!

Today has been like that, as soon as we stuck our noses out of bed, it started to rain. Then when we went out walking, it started to rain!

It was so wet that Old Two Legs only took one picture, a wet bunch of Sea Kale and no, I have no idea why either!

.....and it's wet as well!
Back home there was some chicken and a nibble but we were banned to the bedroom while the ferrets rampaged around the house. Holly and I didn't mind 'cos that means we get a chance to snooze!

Lunchtime we left the ferrets snoozing their tails off and headed off to the football field where we see that the Mole has been working overtime!

Well, I managed to wee on three of them!
We have never seen a live mole but they seem to be good at digging!

Holly and I saw a dead one a few years ago at some RSPB bird site on the Norfolk coast.

I spotted a balloon that had fallen from the sky and landed in the water, I rushed down but it was too big to bite and anyway, OTL told me not to go in the water, or else!

Well, how about a little bite?
Then it started to rain again!

Back home we had a good roll on the carpet to dry off our backs before settling down with OTL to watch a couple of episodes of Britannia on the TV.

We can only watch it when TM goes out 'cos she doesn't like the blood and guts!

So, we plan an evening cuddled up with OTL, a smallish malt whisky and some nibbles.

The whisky is for OTL while the nibbles we get to share!

See you tomorrow and let's hope it stops raining!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A Moling we will go! A Moling we will go! A Moling we will go!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Holly has been a bit put out today, you see we get a Bonio first thing every morning so we can have a nibble while we are waiting to go out for the morning walk.

Holly is very possessive and she doesn't like anyone near her biscuit.

Today was great, I was down stairs watching the dustbin men turn into the road and as soon as I saw a yellow coat I went into Woofer Mode and gave it seven sorts of woof!

Holly, thinking there was someone trying to get in the front door, cam flying down the stairs growling and woofing. She stood by the window and told them what they could do with their bin!

I, on the other paw, saw an opportunity and legged it up stairs, found Holly's Bonio and hid it where the ferrets hide their squeaky toys!

You know, it took her a whole hour to find it!

This morning was cold and windy, more windy than cold but the wind made it feel colder! We didn't hang about and there was nothing new to photograph so it wasn't too long before we were home again!

Lunchtime the wind was still blowing but because the sun had come out, it wasn't as cold as this morning. So we had more time to enjoy the sniffs!

Well, it sniffs like that Bozo Dylan!
When we got to the football field we all got a little excited. I sniffed something fresh and started to investigate!

It's a Mole!
I started to shovel earth for all I was worth. Holly wandered off mumbling something about Bonio's and not trusting me!

As if!

Miss May had her own mole hill to investigate and was soon throwing earth up in the air as she tried to get to the mole hole!

I'm sure there is one here!
Freddy waddled over to another pile of earth, took a sniff and decided that the mole was not there, so he waddled off towards the car!

No moles here!

Back home we found that dinner had been served, Doggy Scoff! Yuk!

You would have thought by now they'd have got the message!

This weekend The Missus is off for a Master Class so we are planning two days of nibbles, songs and some TV programs we have recorded!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
