Him Again!

 Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

What a mixture of weather we have had today. We were listening to the radio yesterday and someone who came to England from Iraq said that only in England had he experienced four seasons in one day! Well today we have had them here! We have been lucky that when it was all thunder and torrential rain we had just got back into the car and could sit there watching it all bucket down, washing the car at the same time!

We had just got back from our sea side walk where the sun had been beating down giving us all a sun tan!

We met up with that funny little woofer who thinks iy is fun to woof at Old Two Legs but unfortunatley when he starts woofing it sounds as though he is trying to gargle with custard!

Holly and I don't bother with  these woofers, I mean, they are smaller than us, noiser than us and they just love it when OTL tickles their tails!

We walked on and saw that there was a large storm cloud over in Essexand we weren't sure if it was heading towards or away from us!

While Essex was getting a was OTL was looking for lizards and grass snakes, we found one of those hopping things that hide in the grass. We weren't sure if it was a cricket or grass hopper and by the time we got OTL to have a look, the hopping thing had hopped off!

Before we headed over the hill and off to the car we looked back at Essex and saw that the storm had moved on!

Mind you, we got back to the car just in time cos the rain started but it started from a storm cloud behind us, not from Essex!

Now, we did think that Archie Babes TL was rather brave climbing up on the rood to brush off the tree seeds, I mean, why not just chop the trees down?

OTL used to go climbing all over the place when he was installing his stuff but now he has stopped doing that and will only stand on small ladders!

Well, he is getting too old and crotchety for all that stuff nowadays!

He says that he can make more profit with the computer and a box of bits than climbing around on long ladders and roofs!

Hey, I've just thought of a reason not to chop trees down, well, you need somesthing to wee on don't you!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

 Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Well, it's been all gogo today, we have been manufacturing for most of the day trying to get stuff out the door to keep all the customers happy. Trouble is we can't get enough stock in as quickly as we would like, so then comes the hold up!

Holly and I managed to get our walk over the old golf course this morning, but without Eric or Wendy who were both snoring their tails off! It was the same at lunchtime only they decided that a chew of chicken strip was preferable to a wander along the sea front!

Holly and I didn't worry 'cos we had our big harness on!

There were one or two woofers around but we left them alone as most of them were strangers and the ones we knew were too far away to say hello to!

Holly was all for saying hello but the sniffs won in the end and we didn't even bother with a roll!

Now I know there is some rain about 'cos some of it landed on us when we were out at lunchtime but Holly was saying that it feels like Autumn is just around the corner. To prove her point, she pointed out an acorn growing on the tree by the car park gate. Now, we don't normally get acorns this early, but, there it was all green and growing!

We think that Archie Babes TL is big and brave letting someone with an Urgent Appointment go in an hour before her. I mean, just what constitutes an urgent appointment, seems to be getting like the doctors. You know, 'Doctor, my head has fallen off can I have an appointment for you to have a look at it?' 'Certainly, the earliest we can do is six weeks!'

OTL reckons us woofers get the best deal, when he phones up all he is asked is 'This afternoon or this evening and bring your wallet with you?'

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Things are getting better!

 Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, it looks like the summer is coming to an end, for a couple of days it has been like Autumn is creeping around the headland and both wind and rain is making a nuisance of it's self!

Holly and I have had to wear our big harness and Old Two Legs has had to put on his water and wind proof jacket!

Both ferrets have stayed in bed and pretended to be asleep!

First thing today we went over to the olf golf course for the morning stroll and to get past the fence we had to climb over a big tree branch that had been snapped off the tree and was blocking the path!

OTL has been in a good mood, he has just got an order in from Germany that is twice the size of the normal order from this customer. Now this means that business is slowly picking up in Germany or they had let their stock drop right down because they didn't know how their own customers were doing!

So, after cleaning the ferret cages and having a long game with Eric of chase the squeaky ball, OTL settled down to getting things on build!

Before he had finished, Holly and I decided it was time we had our walk on the sea front, one of our favourite walks.

When we hgot down to the sea front OTL used his big camera and a 300mm lens to take a picture of a ship that has been moored up in the esturary for the last two or three days.

It was a long way away and OTL was hand holding the camera but with a bit of luck and a fiddly diddly on the computer we managed to get this shot.

Now, we know it's called LE GRAND BLEU, which Holly says means The Big Blue and is described as a Pleasure Craft.

Yeah, we would have a lot of fun on that one as well!

As we wandered along the sea wall we spotted some Black Tailed Godwit poking around in the mud looking for worms and stuff.

OTL says he is always not too sure if the birds are Godwits, Bar-Tailed Godwits or Black Tailed Godwits! So, unless corrected, we reckon they are Black Tailed Godwits!

There were more worm hunters on the mud and Holly spotted these tracks to show where the Wormy Man had been!

Looking over to Sheerness, we saw the rigs were still moored up and being worked on but we didn't see any electric arc welding going on, so they must now be working inside the cabins.

While OTL was photographing the rigs I had a scout along the beach and found a ball on a rope. Trouble was, it had been in the water too long and had picked up some smelly stuff on the rope, so I decided to leave it and go of hunting Nargles instead!

We have been forced to listen to the craft programs on the TV and heard The Missus name mentioned a few times. Now we can put up with her head getting bigger but she don't 'arf go off the deep end when the presenter holds TM's framed card up side down! I mean, across the back was the instructions, THIS WAY UP and a big arrow pointing up.

I won't tell you what TM said but if curses come true, that presenter's knickers were on fire all afternoon!

You don't mess with TM!

See you tomorrow.

Dasy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Hissing Syd is Missing!

 Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here.

We would have liked to add Syd to the list but there has been no sign of her anywhere. We keep looking out of the window and scan the pond for signs but nothing, except the water snails that spen all day moving around the pong burping and making funny noises!

Eric and Wendy stayed in bed this morning, mainly because it was cold, wet and damp underfoot! I must admit that both Holly and I didn't hang about and soon we were back indoors and under the office desk on which Old Two Legs is doing some 'Manufacturing'.

Today is going to be a busy day, he had a big order come in last night and it is loads of single bits of stuff that has to be engineered into a single item then packed individually, boring or wot?

Lunchtime was a real pain in the tail, I mean, as soon as we got out, the rain started and didn't stop all the time we were out for our walkies!

We had our big harnesses on so there was a little protection against the rain, but, that was no excuse to hang about and we were back in the car before long!

It was around four this afternoon that OTL finally finished and shipped off everything to the carrier for delivery to the customer who should be a happy bunny!

So, today ther has been nothing too exciting and Syd is still hiding in the garden somewhere. The Froggy has found another hidey hole to escape Syd!

We are off to watch a DVD tonight and both Holly and I will have a cuddle with OTL and pinch his nibbles!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

We Saw Hissing Syd!

 Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

It's been a fun day today, loads of sunshine, a panicking Missus, a Fearful Frog and a speedy Hissing Syd!

Confused? So were we!

Let's start at the beginning. First thing this morning we set off for our walk across the football field, Eric was wide awake, so he fell out of bed, got dressed in his harness and sat on Old Two Legs shoulder until he decided to get down for a walk at the goal posts. He started off slowly then gathered up speed and ran nearly all the way home!

Come lunchtime he was fast asleep cuddled up with Wendy and the pair of them were on their backs with their paws crossed, no walkies for them!

There was no swimming for me, mainly because it was low tide and all I could have done was swim in mud!

OTL only had his small camera and small lens but he did manage to get this shot of a Red Darter Dragonfly.

Looking at Me?

Back home we were just about to enjoy a snooze when we heard TM screaming her tail off for us all to come PDQ!

Now PDQ is akin to, (a) Kitchen On Fire (b) Knickers on Fire)  (c) We are Being Attacked by Burglars!

So, out we all rush to see what she is doing. We get out in the garden to find her pointing to the Old Jar  where we saw the back end of a Grass Snake sliding into the pond at high speed. It had obviously been scared by TM's alarm call!

It was here a moment ago!

Now we all thought it was great to have a Grass Snake living in our garden together with the Froggy's. That was until OTL said that Grass Snakes eat Froggy's and other amphibians wot live in ponds, maybe that is why we haven't seen the baby Froggy's of late!

Holly, being a nosy woofer went snuffling around the rocks at the side of the pond and found a Froggy hiding under a rock, too scared to come out while Syd was around!

I'm staying here until I feel safe!

Well, Froggy Chops stayed there all afternoon as well, he wouldn't come out until he had seen Syd slither off to her bed!

That was OK cos OTL could get a close up of Froggy's face!

We sat outside in the garden watching for an hour or so but there was no sign of Syd!

Holly and I will be keeping a close lookout in future when we go out for a wee in the garden!

See you tomorrow.

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Lazy, Lazy Day!

 Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, it's been another of those super lazy Sunday's. In the early hours of the morning Old Two Legs jumped up in bed and bouncedacross the bed kicking Holly and I out of bed and elbowing The Missus in the ear.

He was having a bad dream about an Australian Brown Snake jumping out of a swimming pool and trying to bite him!

OTL does have some really weird dreams sometimes but normally hejumps or falls out of bed on his own side and does some injury to himself!

We were a little late getting up 'cos we had to check under the bed for snakes!

Eric came out with us for the morning walk while Wendy stayed in bed snoozing her tail off!

Lunchtime it was just Holly and I plus OTL down on the sea front and for a change the weather was rather mild.

Two Trees but the Poo Bin is missing!

I didn't get to go for a swim but I managed to woof at a dopy dog who I thought was short but ended up being tall and scarry, I had to rush of around the paths just to get away from him!

That was a close shave, that woofer turned out to be much bigger than me!

By the time we got home The Missus had managed to get her video working and up loaded it to YooToob and there were no SlooooooMowwwwww bits!

So, now we have a happy TM

I'm off for a snooze now while OTL cleans up his desk and makes it all shiny!

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Saturday or Soggy Day?

 Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

We love Saturdays, no sitting around while Old Two Legs chats to customers we get to have an extra helping of chicken strips and The Missus seems happy messing about on her computer doing loads of stuff she likes doing.

Today, however, we have had what is known in the trade as a 'Cock Up'!

We get locked up in the office with OTL while TM makes her video, but, when she gets very near to the end of the sloshing and pasting and gluie bits, she makes a cock up which sends her screaming and howling around the house!

So, making sure we are still trapped in the office she starts again but this time on the play back, there she is gassing away when suddenly the audio goes into 'Slowwwww Mowwwwww' and it sounds just like her batteries have failed!

You should hear her!

We managed to get out while she takes another slug of gin and we leave her to try to sort it all out while we escape to the beach!

Down on the sea front there was a load of foggy stuff on the horizon, but, no rain!

It's difficult telling the sea from the sky!

On the beach there were Mini Two Legs running up and down the beach and a couple splashing about in the water, well, I just couldn't resist, off I went like a woofer on wheels and straight into the water!

I didn't swim out very far 'cos there was another wofer walking up and down the beach and all he wanted was to sniff my butt!

Fat chance!

Any closer and your 'Cat Meat'!

Looking the other way, up stream, the clouds were all broken and the blue sky was poking through, in fact the clouds looked rather impressive!

Those clouds look almost 'Dramatic'!
I tried to get dry by sitting on the bench but I was still soggy all over and it was only when I got home that I got a rub down!

I wouldn't mind but the water keeps running down under my tail!

Back home things were not going TM's way and the video had been put aside (thrown into the corner) and some deep cleaning of cookies and old files and stuff like that. Tomorrow is another day and maybe the rest will let the computer cool down so we don't go into 'Slowwwwww Mowwwwww'!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Here comes the weekend!

 Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

I just love Fridays, I mean, after a whole week of working hard guarding the house at night then go into 'Stealth Mode' during the day light hours. You know it's very tiring keeping awake and in a heightened state while at the same time making it look like you are fast asleep!

You Two Legs just don't know how lucky you are to have us woofer guarding you all!

Today has been pleasant weather wise, a very light rain shower and a breeze blowing in from the South. Walking along the sea wall we picked up on some old sniffs but surprisingly the was nothing really new, just some old sniffs from last weekend!

                      Nope, nothing new here!

The sea almost looked inviting but as it was just coming there was a lot of mud being stired up, so bang goes my chance of a splosh!

Only one other woofer was seen but it was big and ugly and far away! So, with nothing more than a small grumble from me we had a trouble free walk!

Nobody messes with us when were out for a walk! Mind you, I don't go looking for trouble!

We had a very enjoyable rest on the bench and I demonstrated my 'Snooze Awake' pose while working on my 'Stealth Mode'!

Now, tomorrow is Saturday so that means we can relax a bit and leave the Stealth thing to The Missus who is very good at listening out for trouble, well, she has been seen chasing Eric and asking 'What Trouble are You Getting Into?'

You know only Holly has better hearing and OTL sometimes calls her 'Ole Radar Ears'! Mind you her ears work best when there is a bag of Chicken Strips being opened!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Sometimes it just has to be done!

 Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

What a day, I mean, there in the West there was clouds, wind and rain while here in the East what did we get? Sunshine!

It was just one of those days when as soon as you went out the front door you knew it was going to be fun!

It all happened at lunchtime, there we were wandering along the middle path when I got the need for a poo and being a shy little girl I headed off to the long grass. Old Two Legs was close behind and stood ready with the poo bag to scoop up my doings.

While he was busy I decided to have a fast run along the path and off I went like a streak of light. I was well ahead of OTL and just as I came to path that lead down to the sea I got this terrible urge to turn left and see if the tide was in, it was!

Tide conditions were 'Muddy' and wet!

Well, what is a woofer going to do?

Cool man, just so cool!

Of course after a splosh about in the water what are you going to do? Yep! Roll on the sand to get dry, except that the bit of sand I chose was still damp from the waves lapping onto the beach!

Exfoliate!

OTL called me a Mucky, Soggy Doggy and walked off leaving me! Mind you, that didn't worry me 'cos I knew my way back to the car park and any way I knew he would stop at the bench for a rest!

Can you pick the sandy bits off my nose please?

It was good stretching out on the bench and slowly roasting in the sunshine, mind you, I did leave a big wet patch there after jumping down!

By the time we got home I was still damp all over but OTL got the doggy towel and I was rubbed down all over and was soon dry enough to head off to bed under the office desk!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

A Wet and Windy day!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret back again.

Well, here we are, the sunshine has gone and back comes the rain. We were out first thing this morning and there were drops of rain splashing down on our noses as we roamed around the old golf course. The golf course is only a nine hole, so it's not very big but it houses a family of foxes.

We made it back home before the rain came down and off went OTL to start cleaning the ferret cage. It was later that Holly and I fancied another run around the golf course so we worried Old Two Legs to go out. As soon as we opened the front door we realised that we had made a mistake, it was pouring down!

We got a few steps into the Football field before deciding that like Archie Babe, we don't like wet! It seems that neither does OTL and we all headed for home at a fast trot!

Soggy and damp we got a rub down when we got home and as soon as we had settled down OTL put on some dry clotes and headed off to the town to spend some money!

He purchased some stuff to do with motoring and the caravan, a torque wrench and a tyre pressure gauge to check if the tyres are inflated to the correct pressure.

Sounds all very technical!

When he got back home the rain had stopped, so, off we go again and this time we were off to the Sea Wall for a midday walk!

Just look at those clouds!

One of the bad things about rain is, it washes all the sniffs away! It takes a skilled woofer to find even a whiff of a sniff!

Now, I'm not bragging but it was me that had to show Holly where to find the sniffs today but it was really my superior nose that did it all!

Come on Holly Chops, here's another one here!

Back home again for lunch and a snooze under OTL's desk!

The Missus got an anniversary card from Archie Babes two legs with cute little woofer who's wagging tail is almost too much!

Eric was playing with OTL by jumping up and hanging onto his trouser leg. As they were in the bathroom, OTL put some water into a plastic tray together with three ping pong balls, then, just for fun, OTL picked Eric up and put him in the tray as well!

Now, if you thing it's Archie Babe who hates water haven't seen what happens when a ferret is plonked into water!

Eric jumped up, legs in the air then fell back into the water, he was slipping and sliding all over the place. He crashed out of the shower and headed towards TM's card room, soaking wet on his legs and tummy!

OTL grabbed a towel then grabbed Eric to dry him down but Eric instead turned his head and sunk his teeth into OTL's hand!

Of course Eric let go as soon as he realised what he had done and OTL wrapped him in the towel to dry him off.

However, OTL's hand was bleeding but we all reckon it was his own fault and he won't do that again!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
