It's WET!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here on a wet Monday!

After all of the super weather we have had this year, it looks like the 'normal' weather is back. Over night we were woken by the rain drops on the window and the dripping of the water, over the gutter and down onto the window ledge!

It didn't help to have The Missus bouncing around in bed and kicking both Holly and I off the bed!

As normal, it was pitch black when we went out for our morning walk and the rain was just finishing.

Old Two Legs decided to leave the camera at home 'cos he didn't want to get it all wet. It didn't matter 'cos the sun stayed behind the clouds and to be honest, there was nothing to see at all!

Eric was doing his favourite trick of waiting for Holly and I to catch up and then hurrying us up to get back to the car before it rained again!

Lunchtime the rain had eased off so Wendy and Monty were out with us. Monty walked all the way from the car, across the football field and all the way down to the Sea Wall. It was at that point he went looking for Nargles!

I think I've found one, I'm sure it's a Nargle, I know it's a Nargle!

After a good ferret around and a lot of snuffling he lifted his head and said.........

It's run away!
That's the trouble with Nargles, they always run away!

Looking at the weather forecast, we should be getting some better weather over the next few days.

On our way around the walk today we met up with a bird watcher who complained that he hadn't seen any geese on the mud flats and I must say that the Brent Geese normally turn up at the end of September and the Canada Geese are normally here by now.

I reckon all the geese have stayed on holiday 'cos the weather has been so warm this year!

So, have a look at the area where you live to see when the winter birds arrive!

See you tomorrow!

OTL has got out of weeding!

Hi Woofers!

The Gangs all here, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Last night we had some fun. It was a couple of foxes playing out the front of our house that woke Holly  and of course if Holly wakes up then I'm awake as well!

We looked out the bedroom window in time to see them wander off, well, what do we do now?

Tell Old Two Legs!

Holly and I jumped onto OTL and we both gave his ears and shoulders a good licking!

He was delighted we woke him and he gratefully mentioned his thanks and told us to woof off!

We know he was only playing and so we gave him another lick!

So, there we were awake a whole thirty minutes earlier than normal!

Of course, down on the Sea Front it was still dark and the sun was somewhere over the Mediterranean but it didn't stop OTL from clicking away with the camera!

Any earlier and it would be stars in the sky!
Now, yesterday we were showing off out glittery bits and poor Eric was all non-reflective, not today!

Eric found if he kept his eyes open there would be a bit of light bouncing off his eyeball!

OK, not as flash as our glitter but there was a little light there or as OTL says, a Twinkle!
We think that Eric wants to grow up to be a Sheep Dog. When we are out with him he spends all his time 'Rounding' us up and making sure we don't get lost!

Holly says he just an old fuss pot but it's nice to know he cares about us!

Get them up, move them out, get them up Rawhide!
Now, on the other paw Monty and Wendy are more interested in 'Ferret Sniffs' and leave us alone to get on with Woofer Sniffs except when Monty joins Holly and I in a Sniff Lesson!

We will be glad when Monty grows up a bit. He still has trouble with the steps and although he does get up, it is still a struggle!

I swear these steps are growing!
Holly says that she gets a little bored waiting for Monty and Wendy but it's still better than having Eric chasing yer tail!

Wake me up when they get close!
Monty does enjoy the grass path and the sniffs and he has taken to hiding in the grass until Holly and I pass and at that point he jumps out!

I bet they can't see me!
This afternoon it looked like rain, so bang goes the weeding!

Maybe next week!

See you tomorrow!

Change of plans, make it a LAZY DAY!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret

As you know, we were planing a very industrious day, you know, slaving over a weed patch and a grubby pond.

Old Two Legs was going to take us all out for a run this morning, only it was us woofers who did the running and fast trots!

However, we still beat the sun in getting up!
Mind you, looking at the sunrise you wouldn't believe it was still dark on the Sea Wall. OTL had to use the 'Flash' setting on the camera, but hey, it showed up our 'Reflective Strips'!

It's us, The Glitter Girls!
Eric, who was with us didn't have any glow in the dark strips on his gear, so, even if we used flash he was still difficult to see!

Now you see me, and now you don't!
It was rather warm this morning and just seemed to get warmer as the day wore on. At lunchtime it was really warm and both Wendy and Monty were not as quick up the path, in fact they said that they fancied a little sun bathe before ferreting around in the grass!

I just fancy an ice cream cone, Lactose Free of course!
Lunchtime came and Holly and I had our Doggy Scoff while OTL made himself a couple of Marmite Sandwiches. He was sitting in front of the TV when he was eating them and as soon as he finished, he fell asleep!

Mind you, we were not complaining 'cos Holly and were upstairs snoozing on the bed!

Bang goes the 'Weeding plan'!

Late afternoon we woke up, wandered down stairs to tell OTL we fancied another walk, so, out we went over the football field and this time Miss May came with us for a run around!

Well, not really a run around more of a little ferret around the field,, stopping to get a carry from OTL every so often when her legs got a little tired!

Back home she went straight to her feeding bowl for a nibble and then promptly fell asleep on the hammock!

It doesn't take long to get her tired out!

So, plans for tomorrow, weed the garden and pond.

Wot chance?

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

It's Friday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret back again!

We just love Friday's, it means that Old Two Legs finishes early and we can sit down and plan what we are doing over the weekend.

We know that The Missus is off to her Master Class in the the village hall tomorrow so that means we will get the big car to take us to the sea side!

OTL says that if the weather is kind, he plans to do some clearing up in and around the pond in the garden. There is loads of dead leaves blowing around and the reeds have dropped there leaves as well!

It could be fun if the sun is shining but if it rains, well, there is always the DVD player and some nibbles on the sofa!

Today we didn't see the sun, we beat it again and OTL was a little disappointed that he didn't have any dramatic clouds on the horizon!

Yeh! It's OK but not exactly Pow!
One thing we have noticed when we bring young Eric on our walk, he just loves to be 'In Charge'!

What he does is wait until we have walked past him and then he will come along. However, if we hang back, he stands there looking at us and sometimes even takes a swipe as we go past, a sort of 'Get a move on'!

Holly calls him a 'Bossy Ferret'!

Better get a move on or he will be after us!
Back home we spent a super time snoozing on the bed, you know it sure is comfortable and very relaxing!

The lunchtime walk was super, a gentle warm breeze blowing down stream! Monty and Wendy had a great time sniffing the sniffs and better still, they didn't try to boss us about!

Well, we'll wait up there for them to catch up!
You know it is amazing to see that after their walk the ferrets spend most of the day fast asleep in their cages. That is excluding Miss May, she gets to stay in bed when Eric goes out. OTL says that May would get too tired if she came out and as she is getting old, she is around six years old, she finds the rampage around the house is just enough exercise before she falls asleep!

OTL knows all her sleeping places which range from the 'Pinny Box' to the underside of the chairs in the lounge!

Mind you, she gets a bit 'wobbly' when she first comes out of the cage and needs a sit down before heading down stairs to the 'Brambles Biscuits'!

Yesterday OTL had Beef Burger and Salad, now we don't do salad but the burger looked rather tasty, so, like good woofers we sat next to OTL giving him the 'Signs'!

Holly and I got a bit of burger but what we didn't know was the crafty OTL had wrapped the burger around the worming tablet!

By the time we had worked out what he had done the burger bit and pill had landed in our tummy!

Oh well, maybe next time we will get to wind him up!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Eye Spy!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Up early, again!

We will be glad when we get back to Real Time again, you know we are up, walked and on our way home before the sun gets up!

It's not fair!

Like, today all Old Two Legs had to photograph is Sheerness under the street lights!

Not quite the same as a big sunrise!

Well, the colour is there even if the sun isn't!
Back home OTL was busy with the VAT. In fact, not only the paperwork but trying to get the accounts program to talk to the HMRC VAT section of the empire!

In the end he paid the VAT and then broke down sobbing, mind you he does that every time he has to pay the VAT!

Lunchtime we went out a little earlier than normal. When we got down to the Sea Front there was some new sniffs, tourists!

I've not sniffed this before!
We had Wendy and Monty with us, as normal, and he is getting to know all of the sniffs we come across. He will be a keen sniffing expert in a year or two!

Yes, that's correct, Old Woofer with upset tummy!
Another thing is, Monty just loves tearing about in the grass looking for Nargles. Just of late Miss Wendy has been joining in with the hunt!

Tally Ho Monty Babe, get yer tail in gear!
Today The Missus and OTL headed off to the hospital to get TM's eyeballs tested. She will be going in for cataract treatment and there is even a chance that she will get her eyes all done before Christmas!

Now, we reckon Archie Babes mum is a very kind and caring Two Legs, I mean, taking her neighbour to the TL Vets and then getting Millie's haircut all sorted as well!

Mind you, it's a bit mean of Millie not having a wee when the Groomer is carrying you, just think, you could get your own back and wee all down her coat!

Miss Snowflake used to do that to OTL if he didn't get her to the sea shore quick enough where she had her first wee!

We got Doggy scoff tonight so I don't know how OTL is going to get those Wormy Tablets down our throats!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

OTL is in a good mood!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Now, it seems it's a 'Good News Day' today. Archie Babe has got his big Foxy Proof Fence, Auntie Sue has a cold wet nose and a waggly tail and Old Two Legs has stopped shouting at the computer!

Talking of foxes, it reminds me of many years ago when we used to visit Grandma and enjoy all the sniffs of South London!

Well, one day she rang OTL all worried 'cos a family of foxes had jumped the fence and were enjoying themselves in the sun shine. She wanted to phone the RSPCA to come and fetch them!

OTL explained that they were wild and the best thing she could do was to get a seat and watch them out of the window!

Unfortunately the foxes didn't like the idea of a little old lady watching them, so they didn't stay long!

OTL was rather disappointed 'cos he wanted to take some pictures of them but they had gone by the time we got to Grandma's house!

Today was very foggy down on the Sea Front, although there was a wind blowing the fog still hung about!

Mind you, we beat the sun again!

Another Foggy Morning!
We didn't hang about too long 'cos Eric was getting a wet tum from the dew on the grass. By the time we got home he had dried himself off on the blanket in his cage, plus the good wriggle he had in OTL's arms, that's always good for getting rid of water!

There's a box at home where The Missus keeps her pinnies and Wendy just loves to cuddle up under the pinnies all warm like.

Well, to day Eric and Miss May finally discovered it and decided to try it out for a snooze!

Yeah! Not bad!

Lunchtime it was back again but now the dew had gone, the sun came out and Holly found a super sniff to roll in!

Oh! It just don't get any better than this!
It was still foggy  but the sun was out and there was the breeze as well!

Is that Sheerness?
Holly tried to get me in trouble again by suggesting we all go for a swim! Now even I'm not that daft, OTL was standing right behind me!

Come on, you can all go in for a swim while I watch!
Back home OTL was catching up on his paperwork and packing up some stuff to go to a customer.

I got all hungry and told OTL I was starving, so he put down my chicken which I must admit, tasted super!

OTL has stopped shouting at the computer, so, we reckon it is doing what it's been told to do!

Now, we don't get foxes in our garden but we do get cats wot we chase out but in our pond there are some very strange looking things that look seriously evil. OTL says they are baby Dragonflies. Babies? I won't fancy tangling with them if they get any bigger!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

All clear from the Vet!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

We have been having fun watching the ferrets in their cages. The Corner Hammock is a favourite bed and they are always in and out!

Sometimes they sort of 'Don't make it' take young Eric, he went down to the bottom level, had a wee and rushed back but he fell asleep before he could climb in!

I really need a bit more speed!

It has been a super sunny day today, well after the mist had cleared this morning that is!

We were down the Sea Front early and the sun was still in bed!

..........and on top of that, there is a ship out there as well!
Old Two legs was trying to get a shot of the sun poking it's nose over the horizon but Eric decided to run most of the way back to the car, stopping for a quick wee!

OK, enough of the waiting for that sun, let's get back home!
Lunchtime we had an early wee 'cos I had an appointment with the Vet!

The tide was in and I was thinking about diving in for a quick swim but OTL was watching!

Do you reckon I could get in for a paddle?
It was on my last visit that the vet tested a sample of my wee and said she wanted another in a months time cos the wee wasn't what it should have been.

Well, back we came today with a sample bottle of my finest wee and after testing it was declared to be OK!

That's good and the worry about my kidney function was clear, so that's OK!

To celebrate, OTL purchased couple of Worming Tablets for Holly and I, well, it's that time of the year!

We reckon that Auntie Sue should get some worming tablets from her vet 'cos that will get rid of her sniffles!

Mind you, after we come in from our morning walk we are a little damp, even after a rub down, so, OTL wraps a blanket around Holly and me and we get all warm and snugly until we dry off!

So, keep the blanket wrapped around your shoulders and Auntie Sue will soon be back to normal, you know, wet nose and a waggly tail!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

It's that Computer Again!

Hi Woofers!

It's Monday so that means work again!

A big woofer welcome from Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Now, all this work the Two Legs get involved with is a real pain in the tail. I mean, there is Archie Babe with the Phantom Limp which is some serious stuff and Old Two Legs is making up new names for the computer!

I mean, Archie Babes limp is so serious that he should be fed on treats all day!

We were out early this morning, something to do with The Missus getting up at three thirty and running around the house switching lights on and off!

The good thing about that is we did manage to get some pre-sunrise shots!

This is the best of the shots and the sun is still under the horizon!
The ferrets have been swapping between the new hammocks and under the blankets and it is just amazing what sort of positions they get into!

Eric in front and Miss May is upside down!
Ferrets will sleep for a long time the suddenly jump up, dash around the cage, having a scratch at the same time the return to the bed and cuddle up again!

'Wossat on the floor?'   'Dunno, have you done anything'? 'No, what about you?' 'Might have done'  'OTL will clear it up''
The weather has been warm so the ferrets have enjoyed their run along the Sea Wall and I managed to get a quick paddle in the sea before OTL got too upset!

Mind you, ferrets do get thirsty after their run and both Holly and I have to wait until they have had a drink before we get a chance of a slurp!

Come on, hurry up there are a couple of Woofers breathing down my neck!
Getting back to the computer, OTL says that the trouble is, ........ he put a twelve bit password in the machine and now cannot remember what it was! I mean, wot a Bozo, mind you it was about twenty four years ago!

He has spent all afternoon going through the memorable passwords and a few rude ones as well!

Still no success so it looks like he could be stuck with a mysterious password for a while!

I can sniff food so I'm off for a scoff!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

A Sunny Sunday!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Us again!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Well, today there have been no Dog Mountains to scare us and we have had a relaxing day.

The Missus was up early to watch the F1 Racing while Holly and I joined Old Two Legs for a
pre-get-up snooze!

Being a Sunday, there was no one on the Sea Front and the sun was still in bed!

The early morning glow!
Eric cuddled up to OTL until it was time to get down and run back to the car! It was lucky that there was little or no dew on the grass, so no wet tummy today!

Back home it was that time when all the ferret bedding got changed and instead of cuddle cups, OTL put in the corner hammocks where both ferrets can climb inside and have snoozy cuddles!

By the time it was finished it was lunchtime and we were due to be off to the the Sea Front again but this time with Monty and Wendy.

The wind had blown away all the clouds and fog so all that was left was the sun shine!

Young Monty was first down and ferreting in the grass looking for interesting 'Ferret Stuff'!

I sniff Weasel Bum!
Of course what he means is Weasel Poo!

We had a good run back to the car and we only saw one woofer, a tourist, but it made a change not to be bothered by Weekend Woofers!

Back home we all sat down to watch the F1 racing that TM had recorded.

It was a very interesting race and we just loved the excuses and blame shifting the drivers do to justify crashing or being shoved off the track!

We have noticed that the ferrets love their corner hammock and it looks cute when they are both sleeping in the hammock with their heads poking out of the entrance hole!

OTL says he is going to get a picture of both sets of ferrets like that!

OK, we are off to see what is for dinner and also what OTL is going to get 'cos we like a varied diet, you know Doggy Scoff and Two Leg Scoff!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Saturday, 6 October 2018

Another Foggy Morning!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

It's Saturday so that is Fun Day!

The ferrets were up early rattling on the cage doors, Old Two Legs was awake early (03:30!) but Holly and I kept snoozing until it was time to go out!

When we got to the Sea Wall what did we see?

Loads of Fog!
You know we couldn't even see the fort in the middle of the Medway never mind Sheerness!

Eric enjoyed his cuddle down to the Sea Wall but had to ask me for a lift to get up the steps!

Like, I'm going to let him anywhere near my ears! He is too fond of giving Holly and I a quick nip if we get in his way!

On your bike Bro' ask OTL he's mug enough!
OTL did give him a lift and also took this picture of me looking good!

Now, don't I just look great!
Back home Holly and I hit the sack for an hour or so while OTL did the poo shovelling!

After the ferrets were tucked up in their beds we watched a bit of the F1!

Lunchtime the fog had been blown away, mind you, it wasn't a very strong wind but it did it's job!

Now with all that fog blown away we can see wot is sneaking up on us and boy was we glad 'cos out of nowhere came this mountain of a woofer!

It was the size of a horse with big slobbering mouth and teeth that could rip your tail off and I bet that it was fed on dead ferrets and hefferlumps and little woofers like us!

It was mean and evil looking and on top of that it was so hungry it was dribbling!

Fee Fie Foo Fum!
It came bounding down the hill towards us roaring its head off and  grinding its teeth!

Two Woofers followed by Ferrets for afters!
As this thing got nearer OTL says in his best woofer voice.........'Hello Woofer!'

That was it, one look at OTL and this meat eating mountain jumped back, turned on its tail and dashed off back to its Two Legs wot was walking along the top path!

It's a good job that OTL's Woofer Language is only really understood by us 'cos what he said could be translated as.......'Any closer and I'll rip yer legs off'!

Down on the Sea Wall Wendy said that she could have sorted the woofer out by choking it as it tried to eat her!

We all said that was wishful thinking on her part!

I'll dig my claws into it's tongue an tickle it's tonsils with my tail!
As I said, it was OTL who saved the day, but don't tell him!

We had a relaxing afternoon watching the F1 Qualifying wot The Missus had recorded this morning. After that OTL watched the final episodes of Stargate SG1!

Today we had chicken, so tonight we are looking forward to doing some serious mugging on OTL for the meat on his dinner plate, not the rabbit food salad, just the meat!

Now, wot's all this about Izzy's dad working all night? Sound like the stuff that OTL used to do when he first started to work for himself!

Mind you, these computer things are a real problem when they go wrong, I have to get Holly to sort out this laptop when it gets the wobbles!

Now, I can hear TM unloading all her stuff from the Master Class so we are off to give her a Woofers Welcome!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.
