It's His Fault, Honest!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

Sorry about missing yesterday, well, we didn't miss it really, we were ready to go but Old Two Legs had been 'Cleaning Up The Computer'!

He has this program that he runs every week to clear out all the stuff that the computer makes during the week, you know, broken links, cookies and other stuff that slows the computer down. Now he is always looking for ways to speed the computer up and yesterday he found a little box that cleared up bits of memory that he hadn't noticed before, so, he ticks the box and 'Poof!' all his passwords that make the computer talk to the Internetty got zapped and sort of disappeared into thin air!

It took him hours to find all the passwords!

Finally, this morning, he found them and now we are back on line!

Eric was up early, we think it was The Missus clomping about loading up the boxes for the crop today.

Outside the weather was rather warm, in fact pleasantly warm!

The sunrise looked good as well.

On the path from the car park.
OTL managed to catch it just before the sun poked his nose  over the horizon and OTL reckons it is coming over the top of Leysdown-on-Sea on the Isle of Sheppy.

He knows everything, just like Holly!

Holly reckons it's Leysdown as well!
OTL spent the morning cleaning cages and playing with the ferrets while Holly and I snoozed on the bed!

Holly wasn't feeling too well, she has the Grumbly Tum and it has reached her butt! I hope it's nothing that Archie Babe has had!

Mind you, I wasn't feel that bright either, so, our lunchtime walk was a little earlier than normal!

Wendy and Monty enjoyed themselves ferreting around in the grass looking for Nargles.

Hey! Seen any good Nargles yet?
It didn't help when Monty walked up behind me and said I had a 'Klingon' on my butt! I mean, he didn't have to tell me in such a loud voice! A girls got feelings you know!

Hey Daisy, you got a dribbly Klingon on yer Butt!
I don't know what he was thinking, I mean, it's not the first time he has seen one, he gets them from time to time if he doesn't lift his tail high enough and that Wendy has got OTL's attention when she gets skid marks up her tail!

OTL already knows and he will fix it later!
I don't know what it is that has upset Holly or even what has troubled my tum but let's say we were being 'careful' today!

Back home OTL got out the washing gear and a warm Doggy Towel and soon fixed us up!

Then, while Holly and I spent time looking out of the bedroom window, OTL was back to 'Manufacturing' and promised to leave the computer alone!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

It's Friday at Last!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret are back again!

Wot a super day it's been today, first thing we were a little late getting out but the clouds had gone and the sun was up and the tide was as high as we've ever seen it, other than in storms!

and no wind either to blow it all about!
Eric declined a walk down to the Sea Wall and stayed cuddled up in Old Two Legs arms until we were on our way back.

Mind you, the sunrise looked rather splendid and you could feel the sun on your tail!

Wot a Morning!
Back home we had a big truck turn up with a load of gear that OTL has to do some work on. We can see him being busy for the next week at least and then after that it has to be packed up on a pallet and sent off to somewhere exotic!

We can see that Holly and I will have to amuse ourselves while he is busy!

Lunchtime Wendy and Monty were out for a run and the tide was going out so I didn't have a chance of a paddle.

Holly was telling the ferrets that anyone who wanted to have a swim in that water has got to have a tail loose 'cos it was not only muddy but it was full of fish poo and whelk wee!

...and there is absolutely no way I would ever go in that stuff over there!
That's the trouble with Holly, no sense of adventure!

Back home OTL left the ferrets in their travelling cage a little longer than normal and you should have heard the noise they made rattling the cage to come out!

Oi! What about us!
As I said, OTL was busy all afternoon 'Engineering' and grumbling that his back hurt 'cos he was lifting all the stuff up to the office.

He does show off sometimes!

I think we have got chicken tonight so we are off to see what The Missus is doing with the chicken, you know, burnt black or dark brown or brown or maybe golden roasted!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

The rain did come and we got wet!

Hi Woofers!

The gangs back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Last night Holly was telling us that we had it all wrong, it's not Cat Racks it is Cattle Racks!

Now how you could get a cow in your eye is beyond me but Holly says she knows wot she is talking about!

I reckon she knows things but in this instance I might agree with Wendy when she says Holly is talking from under her tail!

Well, it hasn't been very nice today, I mean, it was raining when we woke up and it hasn't really stopped all day!

We left the ferrets at home first thing so we had Old Two Legs to ourselves for a change.

As soon as we got out of the car, we wanted to get back in!

It was not nice, it was wet, it was damp, it was yuck!

Back home we got the Doggy Towel treatment and then got wrapped up in a blanket and put on the bed to get over the shock!

Normally it is Eric who comes out in the morning but OTL said that as it was so wet he could stay in bed.

When it's raining this is the best  place to be!
Mind you, the rain seemed to dry up so OTL says it is Eric's chance of a run down on the shore.

Eric tried complaining but OTL insisted and off we went.

As we got closer to the car park, the rain started again, OK, maybe not so much but it was still wet!

Eric stayed inside the ferret bag and only poked his nose out every so often to get his nose wet then back down again!

When we got to the Sea Wall, OTL digs Eric out and says he can walk back to the car!

Do you realise just how uncomfortable it is dragging your tummy over cold, wet, concrete!
Well, he didn't move and he gave OTL such a look that OTL picked him up again!

When we got to the football field OTL tried to convince Eric that it was fun running through the wet grass.

It may be fun for you, you've got boots on!
That was it, OTL had to pick up Eric again!

It was when we were twenty feet away from the car that Eric got down, did a wee and ran the last few feet to the car!

Back home we got another rub down with our Doggy Towels before heading up to our beds is OTL's room. With all the stuff he has in the office it was nice and warm and we soon were fast asleep!

OTL has been arranging for a man to come around to fix the rear light on the caravan where OTL reversed into the wall in the Gretna Green campsite, you would have thought that after all the years we have stopped there he would have known where the wall was!

Mind you, it won't be long before we get onto the Internetty Thing  to book our pitch. We do love that 'cos then we can slowly count down the weeks to our holiday.

But now, all we are doing is counting down to Christmas!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Wednesday, 31 October 2018

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Hey! Guess wot? We saw the sunrise this morning!

Well, it wasn't really over the horizon but there was enough colour to make it worthwhile taking a picture!

Good Morning Mr Sun!
Mind you, it was frosty, I mean, the windscreen was frozen and we had to sit in the cold car while the hot air was made and the ice melted!

Eric was not impressed and when we got to the sea front he was even less impressed! There was frost on the grass which made his paws cold and his tummy wet!

Is this obligatory?
OTL took pity on him and carried him all the way to the football field where he got down, had a quick poo and then ran all the way back to the car!

We were all glad to get back, except Old Two Legs who still has the job of cleaning out the cages before breakfast!

Lunchtime all the frost had gone and Monty found a mole sniff! We didn't tell him that the mole was a good twenty feet away shovelling earth into a big pile!

I can sniff it! I Can Sniff It! I CAN SNIFF IT!
In the end we had to drag him away and he showed off something terrible!

Down on the sea front he was still showing off, so, Wendy challenged him to a race back to the football field.

Monty was so desperate to get back that he started running on the count of TWO instead of THREE like wot he should!

One, Two, Oi!
Mind you as Wendy knew, he couldn't get too far ahead 'cos they were on leads and OTL was in the middle holding him back!

Still, that didn't stop him from trying to chase Holly and I up the hill!

Come on shift yer tails, I'm on a mission!
Not that we took any notice!

Now, wot's all this about cat racks and head aches and eye balls? OTL says that when we are being naughty he gets head ache from shouting at us, mind you, we don't take any notice!

OTL's optician  did that trick, you know new glasses and come back in a year but he went back in six months, walked into the front door with a bang and said ere' I can't see!

It still took some time before he was called into the hospital to have his cat racks removed!

Now, one of his eyes has sort of gone back to just like it was when he had the cat racks, so, he has an appointment in the eye hospital for them to do some laser work on his eye! The only problem is the appointment is not until mid January!

OTL says that if he looks at the computer screen too much, he gets head aches, so we reckon there is a couple of cat racks left behind and they need to be chased away!

Dinner is calling, so we must be away, mind you it's only Doggy Scoff but OTL has been promised some meat and I can't take my pill unless it's wrapped up in meat!

Sneaky or wot?

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

A Snoozy sort of day!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

It's been one of those Honky sort of days. You know, the ones that seem to do nothing and end up vanishing with out a trace!

Old Two Legs has been blessed with the cold that The Missus has kindly passed on!

OTL is not a happy bunny!

He says he would rather just stay in bed and let everyone get on with the day!

No chance!

Holly was awake first, somewhere around three thirty when TM got up to make a quick card and watch the F1 race recording!

Holly cuddled up to OTL and made sure his ear was nice and clean!

It seems that OTL has got over the clock change quickly, he woke up at ten to six and made a sort of groaning sound, the sort of noise he makes when he would rather be doing something else!

We went out for out walk and Eric cuddled up to OTL and refused to get down for a run until we were on our way back and on the top path!

I've never seen him get across the football field so quickly!

The view across the estuary was rather uninspiring, no sign of the sun at all!

I mean, just how boring can one picture be?

Back home it was 'Accounts Day' so that is boring computer stuff with spread sheets and bits of paper!

Still, I suppose he has to do that to keep us all warm and well looked after!

That reminds me, I must have a chat with him about our holidays next year, Holly and I fancy going back to the Mull of Kintyre again 'cos the beach is wonderful!

Lunchtime we had to drag him away from the computer cos Holly and I were walking around with our legs crossed!

The weather had not changed, still cold windy and uninspiring and Monty and Wendy refused to  get out of bed for a walk!

In fact Monty did suggest we took Eric instead!

While OTL was plonking away on the computer us woofers were having a chat about the warm weather we have had this year and how we wished it were as warm now!

Still, with a bit of luck we will have another warm year. Holly says that the phenomenon known as El Nino should bring some warm winds but the down side is that the winters could be colder!

Claws crossed that we miss out on the cold stuff, maybe a week of snow, a quick thaw and balmy breezes until summer starts around February time?

Well, we can dream!

We got chicken today so we are off to see if TM has filled our bowls!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Happy Birthday Eric de Ferret!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Eric is two years old today, well we can't be too sure but we guess he is around that age and the day is determined by the day the ferret arrives in our house!

We heard Monty, May and Wendy singing 'Happy Birthday' in ferret and Holly, who is learning 'Ferret' says that it was the rudest song she had heard and then she sat down with a pencil and a sheet of paper to translate it into the common tongue so we can all understand it!

It goes something like,

Happy Birthday Ereek the Bloo
Lift yer tail up for a poo
Now run yer belly in yer wee
And don't you come close to meeeee!

Well, that was as close as Holly could get without the censor crossing out the words!

On our morning walk, Eric decided to stay in Old Two Legs arms for a cuddle 'cos it was rather cold and windy and Eric said that as it's his birthday then he would decide on just how far he was walking!

This is Cuddly Walk Weather!
Mind you, that didn't stop him giving me a nip 'cos I didn't get out of his way soon enough!

Back home he enjoyed a game of 'Plastic Bag' with OTL. That is where Eric dashes into the shopping bag and OTL tries to trap Eric in the bag before he dashes out again!

Then Eric went off hunting Smoothies and he found one in The Missuses card room, so he hid it behind all the boxes of stuff so that if you want to get it out, you will have to hire a ferret or take the shelving apart!

Monty said he would put in a good price!

Lunchtime Miss Wendy and Monty came out with us but because of the chilly wind they stayed inside the ferret bag! Monty was playing with OTL's fingers by nibbling them then licking the back of his hand!

Finally they got out of the bag and headed for the car. Both of them kept their heads down as the wind was coming in off the sea and the waves were being blown along with white horses on their tops!

Sunny but cold and windy!
Back to the football field the trees slowed down the wind so both ferrets had a fun time racing across the field.

Holly was trying to be crafty, she pretended not to see the two crows who use the field as a feeding spot.

They pretended not to see Holly and Holly pretended not to notice them, until the last moment!

In the end the crows got away, never mind, there is always tomorrow!

Wot Crow?             Wot Dog?
OTL had to go out this after noon so Holly and I kept a watch out of the bedroom window until he got back.

It's fun spotting the car coming down the road and Holly and I go just a little potty!

Eric has been making the most of his birthday, he keeps getting out of bed and rattling the cage so OTL has to give him a slurp of Ferretone, his favourite treat!

We reckon he has maybe another two slurps before bedtime!

OK, we are off to see what's for dinner, see you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Back to Real Time again!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Wot a change, we get a whole hour extra in bed but The Missus wakes up at Two Thirty, can't get back to sleep and makes sure we are awake!

We bet she's tired tonight!

We got down the sea front and instead of getting down as soon as possible Eric stayed cuddled up in Old Two Legs arms! You know, he didn't get down until we turned for home!

Eric says he doesn't like cold or wet!

Mind you, just for a change, we saw a bit of a sunrise, not exactly an earth shattering view but at least we saw a little shaft or light poking through the clouds.

A small shaft of light!
Over head the clouds couldn't make up their mind what they will do, some of them rushed past us while others dropped some rain on us and there was a hole in the clouds at one time where we could see the blue sky!

A little bit of everything!
Lunchtime it was raining again so Monty and Wendy stayed tucked up i their beds and refused to come out!

When we got to the car park it was still raining and OTL had to attach the lead to both Holly and I before we would go any further!

Needless to say, OTL left the camera in the car and Holly and I did the fastest run around the route we normally take but at double speed!

The afternoon was spent mounting the eagle picture in the frame and hanging it on the lounge wall.

Doesn't look too bad, so we will keep it there until he does another one worthy of hanging!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

A Visit by The Cat Woman!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

Today we have been looking forward to tomorrow, you know, clocks back an hour!

Yeah, back to 'Real Time'!

This morning it was too cloudy, too dark and too early for any photos, I mean, we could hardly see Eric and he was very close to our tail for comfort!

On top of that it was windy and cold! Old Two Legs has been wearing a woolly hat over the last couple of weeks. This morning the wind was blowing through the hat and chilling his bald head!

Poor Lad!

When we got home the hat was put in the cupboard and his old Tilly Hat dug out from the bottom of his hat box!

OTL had decided that he would print up the photo he took of the Sea Eagle when he and Alun was on the Isle of Mull. Now, that job should take no more than one hour including the mounting it in the frame.

Well, that was the plan.

By the time he had cleaned and calibrated the printer head it was half past three in the afternoon!

Mid morning there was a banging on the front door, it was The Cat Woman who had come over to see The Missus and also pack up a couple of hampers for the Harrietsham Ferret Show where we hopefully, our ferrets might win a rosette for being best in class or even, Best in Show!

The show is on the 29th November and there is no entrance charge!

There is Allhallows Croppers Card 'O' Thong next April or May which we will make up some more hampers, last year OTL won the 'Guess the Weight' of a super cake which he finished off without sharing it with anyone!

We reckon he will put in a request for a bigger cake next year!

He really is a bit of a Piggy!

Holly and I were tickled pink to have a pack of Chicken Fillets and some Chicken Treats from The Cat Woman, given to OTL for us!

It was just as well OTL got them first 'cos Holly and I would only start a fight!

Holly jumped up and sat on The Cat Woman's Chair Arm for a whole hour and a half snuggling up, just in case there was some more nibbles!

Mind you, she said she could sniff Cats and had a terrible time not woofing her tail off and chasing The Cat Woman around the garden!

Wot made it worse, she didn't get any nibbles!

OTL finally got the printer heads unblocked and printed the eagle photo and it will go on the wall in the lounge!

Fish for Dinner!
So, now the printer is back and working I will expect he will be printing some other photos for hanging on the office walls!

Holly reckons that we should have a picture of us two on the wall!

Now, don't forget, clocks back one hour tonight!

I think that every clock in our house is controlled by radio signals or gets the time off the Internetty, no, tell a fib, the kitchen clock is a 'Manual' one!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

It's getting a bit chilly down on the beach!

Hi Woofers!

We are back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Now, I know we have had a really super year this year as far as the sun shine and warmth goes but we really don't like the cold, I mean, after a year of warm we now have to get used to cold and wet and damp and snow and frost!

It just ain't on you know!

This morning was very dark, no moon or stars or sun rise glow, in fact nuffin, so, no pictures!

Eric says that Old Two Legs could use the flashy thing on top of the camera but you just can't get the depth of field with that and on top of that, it makes your eyes go funny!

Now lunchtime is all together different, at least it is light and you can see what's coming down the path towards you!

You can also see just how far in front of you those ferrets have got!

Just finish this wee and I suppose we'll have to catch them up!
Mind you, Miss Wendy doesn't care 'cos all she is interested in doing is to get back into the bag for a cuddle!

Slow down OTL I need a cuddle!
Young Monty was keeping warm by chasing Nargles in and out of the grass. Holly told him that the 'Nargles' were really gnats that were bound to disappear on the first frost!

Disappear? But that's no fun any more!
Every day when we get back to the car, OTL puts the ferrets in their cage after a slurp of water, then Holly wanders over and gets lifted into the back of the car while I sort of hang about, in the middle of the football field, looking into space or watching the birds fly past!

OTL starts of with a whistle, then a louder and longer whistle then he calls me. At that point I normally turn around and show him my tail!

That normally does it, he comes stomping across the field in a straight line towards me muttering all manner of evil curses!

I wait until he is a few feet away from me then I dash past him and run back to the car and jump in the back with Holly and the ferrets!

Well, the old Duffer needs some exercise after sitting all day in front of the computer!

I look on it as though I'm doing him a big favour!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Another Sun Shiny Day!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

We are 'Back to Normal' here in sunny North Kent!

Old Two Legs woke up at five this morning then went back to sleep again until ten to six when I woke him up with a big wet tongue in his ear!

That was it, he was up and running in no time! It was still dark 'cos the sun was still in bed but the moon was what OTL calls 'Full'.

No, that's the moon!
So, after taking that picture of the moon, OTL turns around and that's where the sun comes up!

Here comes the sun, in about half an hour!
Miss May stayed in bed but as normal, Eric de Ferret came out with us and he just loves the dark and running up behind us!

Normally we don't see anyone else when we went out this morning we saw Three Two Legs and Four Woofers!

I can see that when the clocks change we might be up earlier, just to get a quiet walk!

Lunchtime it is all different, the sun is up and warming the whole place, we can see if there is a woofer on the horizon and, there is always the chance of a 'Deep Paddle'!

Monty is always up for a 'Ferret About' in the grass while Miss Wendy takes a little time to get going!

I think I see a Nargle!
Monty is such a bundle of fun and mischief he makes us laugh! Take the sniffs. He will creep up behind Holly and wait for her to finish the sniff before diving in and pretending she really is enjoying it!

After you with sniff Miss Holly Chops!
Tomorrow, the calendar on the computer says that OTL has got to make an appointment with the vet for Eric to get stabbed with his Distemper protection!

I hate getting stabbed but Eric says that he is big and tough and can take it!

Blooming show off!

Breaking news! Eric's jab is January not October so the little rat has got away with it until next year!

Today we have been served up Doggy Scoff, not my favourite but Holly said she felt hungry and chomped her way through almost all of it, leaving a little bit for a nibble before bed.

Now I really don't fancy eating eye balls, Archie Babe has got some strange tastes!

Hey! We saw a grey squirrel on the outskirts of the village, who knows, it won't be long before they land up in our garden wrecking the peanut bird feeder!

Then Holly and I will have some fun chasing them away!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.
